Migrant mob kicks‚ punches NYPD cops in vicious attack — then 4 get released without bail

A surveillance camera outside a migrant shelter captured a mob of migrants kicking and punching two New York Police Department officers in a vicious attack over the weekend‚ the New York Post reported. \ud83d\udea8WANTED for ASSAULT: on 1/27 at approx. 8:30 PM‚ individuals kicked &; punched police officers in the head &; body when officers were effecting an arrest in front of 220 W 42nd Street. The individuals fled on foot towards 7th Ave. Any info? DM or call @nypdtips at 800-577-TIPS. — (@) The incident took place in front of a shelter in Times Square on Saturday evening. The video showed the cops instructing the migrants to move along before a physical altercation broke out between the officers and one of the suspects. After the cops wrestled the unruly individual to the ground‚ the rest of the migrants took turns punching and kicking the officers while they were still grappling with the suspect. The mob managed to break their friend free from the officers‚ and they all took off on foot‚ fleeing from the scene.NYPD officers later arrested five people accused of being involved in the assault. The Post reported that four of the migrants — Darwin Andres Gomez Izquiel‚ 19‚ Kelvin Servat Arocha‚ 19‚ Juarez Wilson‚ 21‚ and Yorman Reveron‚ 24 — were charged with assault and released without bail‚ according to law enforcement sources. A fifth asylum seeker‚ 22-year-old Jhoan Boada‚ was apprehended Monday evening and charged with attempted assault of a police officer‚ according to the Post’s sources. One of the officers involved in the altercation suffered a cut to his face‚ and the other officer sustained injuries to the side of his body‚ WNBC reported.Reveron already has two open cases for assault and robbery‚ according to the Post. He was accused of pushing‚ punching‚ and biting a Nordstrom Rack employee after the worker allegedly witnessed him stealing‚ sources told the Post. In another alleged robbery attempt‚ Reveron was accused of punching a Herald Square Macy’s loss prevention officer.Police Benevolent Association President Patrick Hendry stated‚ “Attacks on police officers are becoming an epidemic‚ and the reason is a revolving door we’re seeing in cases like this one. It is impossible for police officers to deal effectively with crime and disorder if the justice system can’t or won’t protect us while we do that work.”The Post reported that the over 172‚000 migrants who crossed into the United States from the southern border are now residing in New York City. The city’s shelter system is currently housing over 67‚000 migrants.Earlier this month‚ New York City Democratic Mayor Eric Adams imposed curfews from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on some migrant shelters following complaints from local residents‚ Blaze News previously reported.Like Blaze News? Vegas teen previously accused of gleefully mowing down retired police chief in stolen car charged in unrelated stabbing

Jesus Ayala of Las Vegas allegedly went on a murderous rampage with a friend in August — laughing maniacally on camera while running other vehicles off the road in a stolen vehicle‚ then mowing down 64-year-old retired police chief Andreas Probst. New criminal charges filed on Jan. 19 indicate this monstrous bloodletting may not have been Ayala's first. Another victim has stepped forward‚ accusing Ayala of a crime that occurred in June 2023. "Recently it came to our attention that [Ayala] allegedly was involved in an attempted murder case‚ a stabbing‚ so we charged him with crimes resulting in that‚" Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson told KSNV-TV. Months ahead of Ayala's alleged August rampage‚ the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a report that a stabbing victim whose torso and ear had been slashed multiple times walked into the University Medical Center of Southern Nevada on June 27‚ reported KVVU-TV. Hospital records reportedly indicated that the victim‚ taken to the hospital by his roommate‚ suffered multiple stab wounds to the face and a stab wound to the back. The victim told investigators at the time that two males ambushed him with brass knuckles‚ brutalized him‚ then left him lying on the ground without robbing him. A bloody knife was later found near the scene of the attack. The victim later clarified in an interview with police that a male suspect first accused him of stealing something‚ then five individuals came over and began attacking him. A witness confirmed to police on June 28 that five individuals ostensibly under the age of 18 participated in an "extremely violent" attack on the victim. The witness added that had the attack continued‚ the victim would surely have perished. Ayala was later identified by a witness as one of the "big homies" involved in the savage June attack. Cellphone records cited by police place Ayala in the area of the attack at the time of the stabbing‚ reported KSNV. While the knife found at the scene of the crime reportedly did not come back with a "suitable print match" to Ayala‚ forthcoming DNA results may alternatively confirm who did the stabbing. The victim ultimately identified Ayala from a photo lineup as his attacker on Sept. 19‚ 2023. Ayala is scheduled to appear in in Clark County Justice Court on Feb. 28 for a preliminary hearing on the new attempted murder charge. "Mr. Ayala is entitled to his day in court‚ he is entitled to have a good lawyer‚ he is entitled to cross-examine the witnesses‚ he is entitled to present devices on his own behalf‚ but at the end of the day we have a jury system and court jury will decide his guilt or innocence‚" Wolfson told KSNV. "We feel very confident in the strength of our case‚ we feel very confident that we will get justice for these victims." "We have accused him of doing some pretty serious things. I mean open murder‚ you can't get more serious than that‚ and now an attempted murder charge‚" added Wolfson. Ayala's other trial begins on Nov. 12. Blaze News previously reported that Ayala was indicted by a grand jury in October for murder with the use of a deadly weapon; attempted murder with use of a deadly weapon; battery with use of a deadly weapon resulting in substantial bodily harm; and two counts of failing to stop at the scene of a crash involving death. The charges were enhanced because Probst‚ the former police chief of Bell‚ California‚ was a senior citizen. Both Ayala and co-defendant Jzamir Keys were also slapped with felony charges of residential burglary‚ use of a deadly weapon‚ three counts of grand larceny auto‚ and three counts of possession of a stolen vehicle. The duo appear to have filmed themselves driving a white sedan off the road on Aug. 14‚ then targeting Probst for slaughter. Ayala is believed to have been behind the wheel at the time. In the video‚ one of the perpetrators can be heard asking the other‚ "Ready?" The other responds‚ "Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! Hit his a**‚" all the while laughing. The duo proceed to run over Probst‚ leaving his crumpled body bleeding out on the roadside. The vehicle Ayala allegedly used to kill Probst was found less than 10 minutes away from the crash site with blood streaked across its windshield. After allegedly murdering Probst‚ Ayala and his compatriot are said to have stolen additional vehicles‚ then crashed them into one another for fun near a shopping plaza. Police found another video on Ayala's cell phone allegedly showing the duo also driving into a 72-year-old man on a bicycle‚ then roaring with laughter. The other cyclist survived the attack. While ineligible for the death penalty‚ Ayala faces a maximum of life in state prison. Like Blaze News? Israeli commandos raid West Bank hospital while disguised as doctors‚ Muslim women and kill 3 Palestinian militants: Report

Israeli commandos raided a West Bank hospital Tuesday while disguised as doctors and Muslim women and killed three Palestinian militants‚ Reuters reported‚ citing witnesses and authorities. What are the details? The Israeli military said the raid on Ibn Sina hospital in Jenin was a joint undercover operation that its army‚ Shin Bet security service‚ and border police carried out‚ the outlet noted. The military said one of those killed was Hamas member Mohammad Walid Jalamna‚ who was planning an Oct. 7-style attack‚ and that the two others killed were brothers Basel Al-Ghazzawi and Mohammad Al-Ghazzawi who were part of the Jenin Brigade and the armed wing of the Iranian-backed Islamic Jihad‚ Reuters reported. The outlet added that the Islamic Jihad said the Al-Ghazzawi brothers were members of its armed wing‚ and Hamas confirmed that Jalamna belonged to its Al Qassam Brigade.Hospital surveillance video showed about 10 people dressed in medical scrubs and in headscarves and women's clothing going through a corridor armed with rifles‚ Reuters said. The hospital's director‚ Dr. Naji Nazzal‚ told the outlet that the commandos entered the hospital around 5:30 a.m. and killed the three men with head shots while they were sleeping. He added to the outlet that Basil Ayman Al-Ghazzawi had been paralyzed due to a spinal injury since Oct. 25 and was receiving treatment at the hospital. The Israeli military told Reuters that the trio had been hiding in the hospital and said it was "another example of the cynical use of civilian areas and hospitals as shelters and human shields by terrorist organizations." Israel's military chief Herzi Halevi told troops near Gaza that "we are even more determined not to allow hospitals in Gaza‚ Judea and Samaria‚ Lebanon‚ above ground or in tunnel shafts and tunnels under hospitals‚ to become a place that is a cover for terrorism‚" the outlet said‚ adding that Hamas has denied the allegations.Reuters added that thousands of mourners filled the streets as the three Palestinian militants were buried. 5 transgender athletes dominate women's college volleyball game‚ 2 of the males accused of injuring female players

A total of five men purporting to be women played in a collegiate-level women's volleyball game‚ and two of the male athletes have been accused of concussing two female athletes in recent games.A women's volleyball match between Centennial College and Seneca College in Toronto‚ Canada‚ featured two male athletes on the the Centennial Colts‚ while the Seneca Sting used three male players.According to reporter David Menzies‚ it was revealed by an inside source that there are a total of six males playing in the women's league‚ five of whom are "not on any gender-affirming hormone therapy or have not had surgical gonad removal."However‚ the league‚ which is governed by the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association‚ has a listed policy that states a "trans female (MTF) student-athlete being treated with testosterone suppression medication for Gender Identity Disorder or gender dysphoria" cannot compete on a women's team until after "completing one calendar year of testosterone suppression treatment."Two of the males who played in the match in question were also accused by the unnamed source of causing injury to female athletes.C.L. Viloria‚ who plays for Centennial College‚ allegedly "attacked the ball with heavy force" and hit a female player from La Cite College in the head on November 12‚ 2023‚ causing a concussion. On January 22‚ 2024‚ it is also alleged that Seneca College's Franz Largadas concussed another female player from La Cite College when he "attacked the ball with heavy force."Viloria and Largadas were joined by Ara Telan‚ Jess Garcia‚ and Jaque Ronquillo to make a total of five men playing in the Centennial vs. Seneca match.Menzies reported that the game was "hard to watch" at times and added that "the men were definitely the dominant players on the court‚" especially in spiking the ball. Five of the players at this women's college volleyball tournament in Toronto were men. Imagine being a female athlete sitting on the sidelines watching men get all the game time. The schools and coaches allowing this are destroying girls' athletic careers \n\n(via @RebelNewsOnline) — (@) The reporter also asked Centennial's women's volleyball coach‚ Andrew Mallory‚ why he was "playing male players‚" to which the coach responded‚ "I'm not."The coach was then asked‚ "What happened to chivalry?" "It's not dead‚" he replied.A sports marketing officer with the college declined to comment. The mission statement for Centennial College's athletic department reportedly said‚ in part‚ that its "values" include "equity" and "diversity."The college's main website features a lengthy diversity statement‚ which lists "diversity‚ equity and inclusion" as its first "guiding principle."The school also notes that it will ensure that equity and inclusion are central to its work‚ while openly stating that it rewards DEI initiatives."We will recognize and reward initiatives that support diversity‚ equity and inclusion‚" the website stated. "We will provide resources to support the work of our employees‚ our students and our partners in promoting diversity‚ equity and inclusion."Like Blaze News? ‘Somalia first’ and other alarming signs of a failing American empire

‘Somalia first’ and other alarming signs of a failing American empire

Every gardener is fighting a constant battle against chaos. Hard work must be done to construct planter beds‚ pull weeds‚ and generally repel the relentless forces of nature that seek to take back what the gardener has built. If the garden is to persist‚ its owner must transmit the importance of its maintenance from one generation of owner to the next. Without constant upkeep and renewal‚ a beautiful garden that has lasted for centuries can be recaptured by nature in just a few years. Empires that replace their own troops with recruits from foreign nations have a nasty history of being torn apart from the inside.Nations and empires inevitably meet the same fate as the untended garden. Without a constant renewal of shared identity‚ these political orders quickly decay into a chaotic struggle of factional interests. The United States is demonstrating all the classic signs of late imperial fatigue. If the country cannot find the courage to forge a unified vision once again‚ it will be torn apart by the petty squabbles of a sick and dying civilization.A bad signWhite House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre on Monday attempted to express her condolences to the families of three American soldiers who were killed last week in the Middle East. I say “attempted” because the woman could barely form a sentence‚ a skill that would generally be considered a prerequisite for the position she holds. While Pierre demonstrates an almost comical level of ineptitude‚ her buffoonery often has the positive effect of accidentally exposing what our ruling class really believes. While making her statement‚ Jean-Pierre said that the soldiers had died fighting “on behalf of the administration.” Recognizing her slip‚ with some additional stuttering‚ Jean-Pierre quickly added: “and the American people.” But the truth was clear. Standing armies that are personally loyal to a particular ruler or regime instead of the people or nation are always a bad sign. A military force that identities with the nation is unlikely to follow orders that target citizens or violate their shared values. Soldiers who feel like outsiders and share only their loyalty to the current ruler are far more likely to carry out orders against the regime’s enemies. The Biden administration knows this. Its officials used the COVID-19 vaccine as a pretext to oust from the ranks of the military as many conservatives and Trump supporters as possible. The left has been enacting a slow revolution inside the armed forces since the 1990s‚ but the Biden administration dramatically accelerated the process to ensure ideological purity among its ranks. What happened next should hardly come as a surprise. The military has encountered a serious recruiting deficit after purging many of its most capable fighters for political heresy. Instead of removing its ideological bias‚ the administration seems determined to fill the gap by enlisting more immigrants. Empires that replace their own troops with recruits from foreign nations have a nasty history of being torn apart from the inside. The need to fill those ranks has become even more urgent as the Biden administration attempts to generate the pretext for a war with Iran. How a third consecutive regime-change project in the Middle East would benefit the American people is unclear‚ but the politicians from both parties who profit from the military-industrial complex are certain war is necessary. Ultimately‚ the Biden administration believes that the American military exists only for the benefit of the ruling class‚ and in less guarded‚ more incompetent moments‚ officials announce that fact.Enemies foreign and domesticFootage surfaced last week of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) addressing a crowd in Somali as she explained her blood ties compel her to prioritize Somalia first and Muslims second. She told supporters that her “No. 1 job” in Congress is to protect Somalia’s interests and territory. The naked prioritization of foreign interest was shocking to many‚ but it is exactly what one would expect in the late stages of a failing empire. As the late Samuel Huntington explained in “The Clash of Civilizations‚” diasporas often place large populations of immigrants with strong ties to their homelands into dominant nations. The immigrants‚ in turn‚ exert major influence over the foreign policy priorities of their new country. This is why many paleoconservatives warned that mass immigration‚ both legal and illegal‚ was a danger to American sovereignty and identity. Nations are generally capable of assimilating small numbers of new arrivals. Given enough time‚ those people can come to share the values and priorities of the native population. But massive waves of immigration have been drowning the United States for decades‚ making assimilation practically impossible. When large blocs of unassimilated foreigners immigrate into a representative system‚ the results are almost always the same. When the current round of violence between the Palestinians and Israelis broke out in October‚ crowds of protesters from both groups massed in the streets of many American cities to scream at each other and‚ in some cases‚ engage in direct conflict. Nations that do not maintain control of their borders quickly find themselves embroiled in the ethnic squabbles of various imported groups.Omar’s “Somalia first” posturing may have been more brazen than many Americans are accustomed to‚ but the problem is not unique to her. American politicians have proven over and over that they are more interested in protecting the borders of foreign countries like Israel or Ukraine than they are in stopping the invasion surging across their own southern border. U.S. taxpayers are still providing pensions for Ukrainian bureaucrats and weapons systems for Israel‚ one of the wealthiest nations in the world‚ while politicians attempt to cut Social Security and refuse to build a border wall. A ruling elite that believes the military’s chief loyalty should be to the current presidential administration and national political leaders who declare their primary loyalty to foreign nations — these are real late imperial hours. America has not tended its garden. It has not renewed its shared identity and moral vision‚ nor has it passed the importance of maintaining that tradition to the next generation. “Freedom‚” Ronald Reagan famously observed‚ “is never more than one generation away from extinction.” If the United States is to hand anything other than chaos to its posterity‚ it must first rediscover the will to put America first.

Civilization meets Stardew Valley in new Steam game with a dark twist

As a history graduate‚ if there's one thing I love to see in videogames‚ it's an authentic historical setting. Yet‚ the titanic Civilization has never really inspired me because I'm not the biggest fan of 4X games. So‚ imagine my face when The Bustling World‚ a beautiful-looking new Steam game that combines ancient Chinese history with Stardew-style farming and Cities Skylines-esque management‚ crossed my desk. Safe to say I was intrigued.
