A commanding majority of American voters oppose race and sexuality-based hiring practices and efforts to embed the dogmas of Critical Race Theory into the medical field‚ according to new survey results obtained exclusively by The Daily Wire. The poll of registered voters found that‚ though many respondents were not familiar with the phrase diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion‚ or DEI‚ sizable majorities are opposed to the core practices associated with the DEI movement. “Would you approve or disapprove of your company relying on race‚ gender identity‚ and sexuality-based hiring and promotion practices?” one of the poll questions inquired. A full 66% of respondents said that they oppose the practice‚ while just 22% said that they support it. The poll‚ performed by CRC Advisors on behalf of the 85 Fund‚ also known as the Honest Elections Project‚ comes as institutions across the country‚ including universities‚ corporations‚ and hospitals‚ have embraced the core tenets of Critical Race Theory and radical gender ideology. A majority of Democrats and liberals‚ 54% of both‚ said that they oppose the discriminatory hiring and promotion practices‚ while Republicans‚ conservatives‚ and independents all opposed the practices by more than 70%. Major corporations from a variety of different sectors‚ from NASCAR to IBM‚ have offered internships and career advancement opportunities that discriminate against white people‚ Asian people‚ and men on the basis of their race and sex in the name of DEI. The poll also asked respondents about the role of the DEI agenda in the medical field‚ with one question asking whether “a hospital or medical provider should consider racial justice when determining treatment?” The vast majority of respondents‚ 62%‚ said that providers should not consider racial justice when determining treatments. Every single political demographic said that providers should not consider racial justice with the exception of liberals‚ who were split 45% to 45% on the issue. Respondents were also asked if they believe that state-owned hospitals and medical schools that “impose rules and promote and provide services based on race‚ gender identity‚ and sexuality” should receive taxpayer funding. A full 59% of respondents said that such hospitals and medical schools should not be able to receive taxpayer funding. Self-identified liberals stated that these institutions should receive taxpayer funding by a two-point margin‚ while all other political demographics disagreed. The poll also found that 61% of respondents disapproved of a new toolkit from the American College of Surgeons encouraging doctors to consider a patient’s race and identity when providing care. All political demographics stated that they disapproved of the practice. The toolkit was met with sharp criticism by Dr. Richard Bosshardt‚ a Senior Fellow at Do No Harm‚ an organization opposed to the politicization of medicine. “The American College of Surgeons should junk their DEI Toolkit which seeks to indoctrinate surgeons to see patients according to their racial‚ ethnic‚ or other identity group. Patients must be treated as individuals and not as a member of a racial or ethnic entity‚” Bosshardt remarked. “DEI displaces excellence and has no place in medicine. It is not supported by two-thirds of patients‚ and supposed benefits to its adoption are not supported by any evidence.” “Merit alone should be the basis for selecting those who have patients’ lives in their hands. The divisive identity politics pushed by supporters of ‘diversity‚ equity and inclusion’ is illegal‚ unscientific‚ dangerous and‚ according to this poll‚ unpopular‚” Dr. Stanley Goldfarb‚ the Director of Do No Harm‚ told The Daily Wire. “Medical schools‚ hospitals‚ doctors‚ and medical professionals at all levels will continue to erode trust until they abandon identity politics and emphasize excellence and accountability in care.” But despite the unpopularity of race-based medicine‚ there’s an ongoing effort to embed Critical Race Theory into the medical field under the banner of “health equity.” The University of Minnesota’s School of Public Health gave politicized training protocols called “Anti-Racism 101” and “Teaching and Learning at a Predominantly White Institution‚” a Daily Wire investigation found‚ while a top health policy journal hosted an internship that barred white applicants. The Food and Drug Administration even issued a guidance that bumped non-white patients to the front of the line for monoclonal antibody treatment‚ a potentially life-saving intervention for those with COVID-19. While respondents were generally opposed to practices associated with the DEI agenda‚ less than half said that they had “recently seen‚ read‚ or heard about diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion practices‚” and 37% of respondents‚ a plurality‚ said that they were unsure or refused to answer whether they approved or disapproved of efforts to introduce more DEI in everyday life. Meanwhile‚ 36% said that they support efforts to embed DEI in everyday life‚ while just 26% said that they disapproved of such efforts. The poll also asked voters about their thoughts on Joe Biden’s performance‚ with 56% of voters saying they disapprove of the way that Biden is handling his responsibilities with 41% approving of his presidency. Just 3% said they were unsure or refused to answer. A majority of voters‚ 64%‚ said that the country is currently on the wrong track‚ with 88% of Republicans and 80% of conservatives sharing the view. A majority of Democrats and liberals‚ 62% and 55% respectively‚ said that the country is on the right track while 73% of independents and 63% of moderates said that the country is on the wrong track. Meanwhile‚ 23% of voters said that the top issue facing the country is inflation while another 21% said that immigration and border security are the biggest issues. In third place were jobs and the economy at 15%‚ followed by crime‚ healthcare‚ and abortion. The poll was conducted from January 3rd to the 7th online and has a margin of error of plus or minus 2.45%. 

Harvard University’s affiliated cancer hospital‚ Dana-Farber Cancer Institute‚ announced it will retract six studies and correct 31 others after a blogger exposed dozens of papers by several authors of having manipulated scientific images. The president and CEO of the institute‚ Dr. Laurie Glimcher‚ has four papers being investigated that molecular biologist and blogger Sholto David alleges helped build her career. “No doubt Laurie built her career on papers like this one‚ in Nature Immunology (2003)‚ which includes some impressive contributions to art‚ but perhaps not to science‚” David wrote in his blog For Better Science‚ in which he explains how multiple scientific images were manipulated. The investigation of the scientists who hold faculty positions at Harvard Medical School comes at a time when the embattled university’s former president‚ Claudine Gay‚ resigned after multiple allegations of plagiarism. Research image included in Clinical Cancer Research (2012) that blogger Sholto David says is manipulated. “In 2012 this epic fail was published‚ Irene gained ethical approval to aspirate bone marrow from cancer patients and healthy volunteers‚ but Figure 1 includes three obvious duplications‚” David wrote about a paper coauthored by Ghobrial. “Wouldn’t the volunteers be furious after undergoing such an invasive procedure?” he added. “Can the data from a paper like this ever be rehabilitated?” Conservative activist Christopher Rufo who along with others broke the story of Gay’s plagiarism told The Daily Wire said more accusations are to come. It’s time for Americans to stop subsidizing this madness.” Requests for retractions and corrections on some of the papers have been sent to the journals they were published in‚ according to the Wall Street Journal. “The presence of image discrepancies in a paper is not evidence of an author’s intent to deceive‚” Barrett Rollins‚ Dana-Farber’s research integrity officer and chief science officer emeritus‚ told CNN on Monday. “That conclusion can only be drawn after a careful‚ fact-based examination which is an integral part of our response‚” he added. “Our experience is that errors are often unintentional and do not rise to the level of misconduct.” The institute has not determined if the scientists have committed misconduct. The institute is currently conducting a review of more than 50 papers written by three additional researchers: program director of the Jerome Lipper Multiple Myeloma Center‚ Dr. Kenneth Anderson‚ Director of the Clinical Investigator Research Program‚ Dr. Irene Ghobrial‚ and Chief Operating Officer‚ Dr. William Hahn. Harvard University did not respond to a request for comment.

A top House Republican issued a fresh warning to Harvard University on Tuesday over the Ivy League institution’s level of cooperation with an investigation into anti-Semitism on campuses. Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC)‚ chairwoman of the Education and the Workforce Committee‚ released a statement that said an “initial review” showed Harvard’s production of documents to her panel so far “is woefully inadequate.” She added‚ “Rather than answering the Committee’s request in a substantive manner‚ Harvard has chosen to provide letters from nonprofits and student handbooks‚ many of which are already publicly available. This is unacceptable.” Foxx indicated that subpoenas could follow if Harvard does not satisfy her committee’s demands. “Harvard must produce the remaining documents in a timely manner‚ or risk compulsory measures‚” the chairwoman said. The Daily Wire reached out to Harvard seeking comment on the statement. Universities are facing intense scrutiny over acts of anti-Semitism reported on campuses around the country as Israel wages war on Hamas in the Gaza Strip following the group’s deadly terrorist attack on October 7. The GOP-led House has also passed a resolution condemning their testimonies. Gay has since stepped down‚ but not before the Education and the Workforce Committee expanded its probe into Harvard with a new line of inquiry regarding plagiarism allegations levied at Gay dating back to the 1990s when she was a student. Arizona Republican Party chairman Jeff DeWit resigned on Wednesday after an audio recording leaked of him allegedly offering a bribe to Kari Lake to suspend her campaign for U.S. Senate. DeWit faced backlash from Arizona Republicans‚ including from Lake herself‚ this week after the audio was obtained and published by the U.K.’s The Daily Mail on Tuesday. The audio was recorded in March of last year and allegedly captured DeWit offering Lake to name a price that would convince her to suspend her Senate campaign and forgo politics for two years. DeWit accused Lake of selectively leaking the audio and undermining the Republican Party in a statement announcing his resignation. “In light of the recent revelation that Kari Lake has released a selectively edited audio recording of our private conversation‚ I must clearly address this deceptive tactic. The recording‚ from over ten months ago‚ is not only taken out of context‚ but also undermines the integrity of private discussions critical for party leadership‚” DeWit wrote.
