Should Texans defy the Supreme Court to protect our borders?

If we can’t protect our borders‚ who will? The Supreme Court just ruled that the Texas National Guard can't prohibit federal Border Patrol officers from cutting down razor wire along the border‚ one of the only lines of defense in the National Guard's tool belt to mitigate the flood of illegal immigration. I am sincerely pondering where we go from here. We have been facing constitutional crisis after constitutional crisis‚ and this ruling is just the most recent installment. I am not sure how to react. I know there are a lot of people saying that this ruling is out of line and that we should ignore the Supreme Court. But that makes us no different from the Biden administration. We would become them. On the other hand‚ what else are we going to do? Are we going to roll over and let 10 million more illegal immigrants cross into our back yard because the federal government refuses to fulfill its duty? The Constitution says that it is the federal government's job to protect the borders. But the administration is not doing the job. In fact‚ Biden's government is enabling those people trying to come in. Officials are enabling cartels and the drugs they're smuggling to come over. Criminals are coming over. We know terrorists have come over. These people are killing our citizens. The federal government is enabling those who rape and sell women and children into sex slavery to come over. Human traffickers are profiting off their inability — their refusal — to secure our borders. This stuff is bad. Really bad. Yet the Supreme Court justices‚ in effect‚ said this: "Texas‚ you do not have the right to protect your own border. That's our job.” If a military came over our border‚ let's say a group of 10 million people‚ but only a few of them had guns‚ would that not be a clear invasion by an army? Should the fact that they're not wearing uniforms give them an automatic pass to cross our border? The only difference in this scenario is that 10 million people are coming in with no uniforms. This is an invasion. Yet the Supreme Court on Monday said‚ "No‚ they can keep crossing." Did you read Tucker Carlson's post on X about the Supreme Court ruling? He said: “Where are the men of Texas? Why aren’t they protecting their state and the nation?” I don’t know exactly what that means‚ Tucker. The men of Texas have been standing up‚ and they keep on getting knocked down. At what point are people justified to defy the Supreme Court and say‚ "Yeah‚ it makes me no different from the Biden administration‚ but we have to put a stop to this"? I don't like that option. But I think it's time that we start to have adult conversations because I hear people talking seriously more and more about secession. People ask me all the time‚ "What is the line‚ Glenn?" I keep saying‚ "You'll know it when you see it." Is this the line? Well‚ you can stand up politically. You can stand up and march. You can stand up at the polls. I think that's very important. But what do you do when every tool you're given is taken away?I've been meditating on this section of the Declaration of Independence.That to secure these rights‚ Governments are instituted among Men‚ deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed‚ That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends‚ it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it‚ and to institute new Government‚ laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form‚ as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness. Prudence‚ indeed‚ will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn‚ that mankind are more disposed to suffer‚ while evils are sufferable‚ than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations‚ pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism‚ it is their right‚ it is their duty‚ to throw off such Government‚ and to provide new Guards for their future security. I want to make this clear: I'm not pushing for this. I am not calling for us to "alter and abolish" our government. I don't think the time is now by any stretch of the imagination. But what does this mean going forward? How do you protect your border while not becoming everything you despise? It doesn't seem like we have any tools left. My answer is that defying the Supreme Court is wrong. I don't want to be like the Biden administration. You can be angry‚ as the Scriptures say. Be angry. But do not sin. Don't become them. White House spokesman John Kirby appeared stunned on Tuesday when Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy asked him basic questions about the border crisis.On Monday‚ the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that Border Patrol officers may cut through razor wire that Texas installed on the southern border to mitigate illegal immigration. The Biden administration celebrated the decision‚ despite acknowledging that the barrier worked.At the press briefing on Tuesday‚ Doocy wasted no time trying to understand why the Biden administration is celebrating the decision so openly."Why are you guys making it easier for people to enter the country illegally?" Doocy asked.Kirby appeared confused at the question‚ and he claimed the administration is not making it easier for migrants to enter illegally. Doocy then clarified why he asked the question: The Biden administration‚ by suing Texas over the razor wire‚ was signaling that it didn't want the barrier on the border. Kirby‚ on the other hand‚ said the lawsuit was about helping Border Patrol do their jobs."But keep going‚" Kirby snarked."Well‚ you won in court. So now what?" Doocy followed up. — (@) That simple question left Kirby unable to speak for several seconds. He was visibly confused by the question and clearly didn't have a response prepared. Doocy eventually broke the awkward silence by giving Kirby an easier question."The Border Patrol union president is saying the Supreme Court's decision is going to 'undoubtedly encourage more illegal immigration.' Do you guys know better than the Border Patrol union?" Doocy followed up.Kirby‚ however‚ could only respond by repeating the Biden administration's talking point: The razor wire prevented Border Patrol officers from doing their jobs. But the administration has not offered evidence to prove this claim. Later in the briefing‚ Doocy asked Kirby yet another easy question‚ "Does razor wire work?" But Kirby refused to answer it‚ and he instead blamed Republicans for the ongoing inability of the Biden administration to stymie the migrant crisis. Like Blaze News?
