The World Health Organization (WHO) established an expert advisory group on transgender health‚ seeking guidance from a transgender former prostitute who called the line of work “empowering” and an academic attempting to popularize “genderf**king” as a critical legal theory. The WHO’s Guidelines Development Group on the Health of Trans and Gender Diverse People was established to facilitate the creation of guidelines aimed at “increasing access and utilization of quality and respectful health services by trans and gender diverse people‚” and establishing “health policies that support gender-inclusive care‚ and legal recognition of self-determined gender identity.” Among the experts named by the WHO is Erika Castellanos‚ who the WHO says is “a trans woman living with HIV from Belize who resides in the Netherlands.” Castellanos‚ a former prostitute‚ is a member of the International AIDS Society‚ where he focuses on “youth engagement in HIV activism.” It also includes Florence Ashley‚ an Assistant Professor at the University of Alberta and former clerk at the Supreme Court of Canada‚ who the WHO describes as a “transfeminine jurist and bioethicist whose work focuses on trans issues in the legal and healthcare systems.” His most recent work is on how to use “genderf**king” as a strategy to resist “gender governance.” The WHO’s decision to staff the board with radical transgender activists calls into question the organization’s ability to objectively assess the medical consequences of interventions that attempt to modify one’s sex. It told The Daily Wire that its recommendations “are always based on balancing of available evidence‚ human rights principles‚ consideration of harms and benefits‚ and inputs of end users and beneficiaries.” The experts‚ however‚ are clearly out of the mainstream community‚ and have no health expertise. Castellanos said that he became an expert in the field by being a prostitute. “Surviving migration‚ sex work and homelessness‚ all while being HIV positive and transgender‚ have made me strong and resilient in the work I do‚” Castellanos noted in a biography. “I have had the opportunity to share my insights with young trans and HIV activists.” Rather than just “surviving” prostitution‚ however‚ Castellanos says “sex work was the most empowering thing that ever happened to me‚” explaining that he “started working in the streets‚ offering my sexual services” in Mexico after fleeing home‚ eventually using drugs and ending up in prison. Castellanos is now engaged in various fields of activism‚ previously serving as a delegate to the Joint United Nations Programme on AIDS on behalf of Trans United Europe‚ a “sex worker umbrella NGO for Trans Black People of Color (BPOC) and migrants from the global south.” He’s also listed as the Executive Director of Global Action for Trans Equality‚ an organization that calls itself “an international advocacy and expert organization focused on gender identity‚ gender expression‚ and sex characteristics.” The organization’s site explains that “Erika’s background is in sex work issues and HIV activism.” Florence Ashley‚ another transgender activist who was appointed to the WHO’s Guidelines Development Group‚ describes himself as “metaphorically a biorg witch with flowers in their hair” and is the author of an article set to be published in the McGill University Law Journal titled “Genderf**king as a Critical Legal Methodology‚” where he discusses ways to resist “gender governance.” “Genderf**king is defined by its focus on the needs and experiences of those who ‘f**k’ with gender‚ resisting attempts at gender governance through laws‚ policies‚ and practices‚” an abstract from the article reads before going on to claim that the approach “offers a rich and fertile approach for analyzing a social‚ political‚ and legal world indelibly marked by regimes of gender and‚ in so doing‚ steps on the path towards gender liberation.” The 34-page article expounds on the approach through “stylistic” means‚ namely‚ sexually charged humor. “The present article as well as several of the past writings I mention include puns and jokes‚ many of them sexual. More than incidental‚ I would suggest that these stylistic elements are an extension of genderf**king’s substance into the realm of form and style‚” the paper reads before explaining that the theory can also be used to challenge academic standards. “For just as genderfucking rejects the politician’s idea that gender must be policed‚ so does it reject the academician’s idea that writing must be policed. The name ‘genderfucking’ itself offers a challenge to dominant mores around sex and profanity.” Ashley goes on to ask “Are sex jokes not a celebration of scholarly fucking? Is there not something peculiarly trans about sex jokes?” The article also addresses transgender identification among youth‚ claiming “Regardless of whether youth know their gender well‚ nobody is better placed to navigate the world of gender in their name. Only they can catch glimpses or gaze upon the shape of their gender mosaic.” Ashley goes on to apply his specific approach‚ writing‚ “Under a genderf**king lens‚ gender self-determination seems the only way to properly account for the needs of all trans youth‚ including those who defy attempts at disciplining gender.” He also explains that the concept of “genderf**king” is intended for those “whose gender is an eldritch horror adorning a seven-dimensional tentacle c*ck. People whose gender oscillates so fast that it undergoes spontaneous fission.” “You can’t handle the truth of their gender‚” Ashley wrote. Ashley produced an extensive list of largely nonsensical terms that he’s used to refer to his gender‚ which includes the words and phrases “alien‚” “alienby‚” “trashgender‚” “gender malcontent‚” “deception‚” and “unfathomable swirling void.” Ashley‚ whose placement on the WHO advisory board sparked criticism online‚  has informed the WHO that he is “unable to attend due to a conflict in schedules.” Dr. Stanley Goldfarb‚ the Director of Do No Harm‚ a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting the politicization of medicine‚ warned that the WHO’s guide development group will likely ignore the increasing body of literature that challenges the basis of support for medical interventions intended to modify a person’s sex. “At a time when the European community is in the midst of a great re-examination of the entire edifice of so-called ‘gender affirming care‚’ it is indeed unfortunate that the world health organization has decided to enlist a number of gender activists to create new guidance‚” Goldfarb remarked. “Guideline formation should be first based on a careful and comprehensive review of the medical literature. There are also four individuals associated with the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH)‚ the organization that removed minimum age requirements for medical interventions‚ including puberty blockers‚ cross-sex hormone therapy‚ and sex change operations from its medical guidelines. Two former presidents of WPATH‚ Walter Bouman and Gail Knudson‚ are included in the WHO’s guidelines development group. Critics of gender ideology have blasted the WHO over its Guidelines Development Group‚ launching a petition called “WHO Decides?” that objects to the “biased panel tasked with creating new transgender health guidelines.” “Of the 21 panel members‚ over three-fourths are transgender activists. The few physicians either specialize in HIV or are ‘gender doctors‚’” the petition reads before adding “There is currently a worldwide explosion of teenagers wishing to undergo a sex change; WHO’s stated plan to promote hormones and “legal recognition of self-identified gender” will harm innumerable gender-dysphoric youth‚ gays‚ lesbians and other women.”

Remains belonging to the Green River Killer’s last known victim have been identified‚ 20 years after the killer himself showed authorities where the victim had been left. Gary Ridgway‚ known as the Green River Killer‚ was a prolific serial killer who murdered women and teenage girls throughout the 1980s and ’90s‚ until he was caught in 2001. He has pleaded guilty to the murders of 49 women and is suspected of killing upwards of 90. In 2003‚ Ridgway led authorities to an area where he said he had left his final victim‚ the King’s County‚ Washington‚ Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) said in a press release. There‚ law enforcement found the partial remains of a teenage girl‚ but without the ability to identify her when her remains were located‚ she was labeled Bones 20‚ and remained with that identification for the next two decades. In 2022‚ authorities had given the bones to Othram Inc.‚ a private laboratory that has been helping law enforcement solve crimes and identify bodies by comparing DNA to databases of those who have voluntarily provided DNA to genealogy kits‚ like “23 and Me‚” and finding family members of the deceased. In August 2023‚ Othram told the KCSO they had developed a DNA profile for the unknown victim‚ and had tentatively identified her as Tammie Liles. Liles has previously been identified as a murder victim in 1988 after a separate set of remains were discovered in King County. Dental records from those remains identified the victim as Liles. Liles’ mother was contacted after Othram’s tentative identification‚ and a DNA sample was obtained from her. The University of North Texas was able to determine that the victim was‚ indeed‚ Tammie Liles. In 1985‚ authorities discovered two sets of human remains‚ which were labeled Bones 16 and Bones 17. Bones 16 were identified in 2012 through DNA testing as Sandra Majors. Bones 17 remained unidentified until December 2023‚ when investigators working with Parabon NanoLabs used forensic genetic genealogy to identify the remains as Lori Anne Ratzpotnik‚ CBS News reported at the time. Ratzpotnik‚ 15‚ and Liles‚ 16‚ were both runaways. “It’s an immense feeling of satisfaction that in this case‚ that started in the early 80s‚ we are able to identify all of Gary Ridgway’s victims. All 49 of them‚” KCSO spokesperson Eric White told the Seattle Times. A House panel has recovered more than 100 “deleted” and encrypted files from the January 6 Committee‚ a GOP investigator announced on Monday. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA)‚ chairman of the House Administration Subcommittee on Oversight‚ affirmed the retrieval as part of a counter-inquiry into the January 6 Committee that shut down at the beginning of 2023. “The former J6 Select Committee went to great lengths to prevent Americans from seeing all the evidence produced in their investigation‚” Loudermilk said in a post to X. “Our Subcommittee has recovered over 100 deleted &; encrypted files. What else were they trying to hide?” Loudermilk was responding to a Fox News report that said he wrote to Rep. Bennie Thompson (D-MS)‚ who chaired the January 6 Committee‚ demanding a list of passwords that would allow his forensic team to gain access to the locked files. The pair have traded a number of letters over the past year in which Loudermilk raised concerns about the January 6 Committee not properly archiving video recordings of interviews and depositions in the House as well as transcripts mentioned in a letter to the Homeland Security Department that referenced “important information” gained “from an unnamed Secret Service witness.” Thompson has insisted the January 6 Committee was “was not obligated” to archive all video recordings of transcribed interviews or depositions‚ but he conceded the panel “did not have the opportunity to properly archive” certain sensitive materials because it was dissolved before the completion of an executive branch review of information that could be damaging to witnesses if released. In his newest letter‚ Loudermilk said one of the recovered files “disclosed the identity of an individual whose testimony was not archived by the Select Committee.” He added that the “hard drives archived by the Select Committee with the Clerk of the House contain less than 3- terabytes of data‚” suggesting some data may be missing as Thompson had touted a 4-terabyte digital archive. Loudermilk also wrote to the White House and DHS general counsels seeking “unedited and unredacted transcripts” of testimony given to the January 6 Committee by the White House and DHS‚ per Fox News. He set a January 24 deadline for those requests. Former Rep. Harley Rouda (D-CA) delivered a scathing op-ed for The Orange County Register‚ coming out decisively in opposition to his former colleague — Rep. Katie Porter (D-CA) — in her bid for the California Senate seat vacated by the late Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA). Rouda‚ who served just one term in Congress (from 2019-2021)‚ said that he was surprised to learn that he had a featured role in Porter’s memoir — primarily as a punching bag — as she often held him up as an example when she wanted to attack the “privilege” that came with family wealth. In the memoir‚ Porter claimed that Rouda had once mistaken her for a valet at an event — and claimed that he had used his position in Congress to grow his wealth. “Katie‚ as you were watching and judging my family and‚ as you say‚ ‘comparing myself to Harley‚’ I was busy working‚ writing‚ passing legislation‚ and bringing home resources to Orange County. It cost my family money for me to serve‚ quite the opposite of what you imply‚” Rouda wrote‚ arguing that Porter herself was no stranger to the privilege she publicly scorned. “Porter boasts about taking on powerful special interests – using her whiteboard prop to scold executives‚” Rouda continued‚ referencing reports that she had taken Wall Street money after promising to reject such campaign contributions. “Talk about hypocrisy. Rep. Chip Roy (R-TX) said on Tuesday that Texas should continue to defend its southern border despite the Supreme Court’s decision to grant an emergency request from the Biden administration. Roy said that the state had a duty to defend its citizens and should continue to do so after the Supreme Court ruled in a 5-4 decision that razor wire placed at the border by the state‚ meant to deter illegal immigration‚ could be removed by federal agents. The razor wire was at Shelby Park in Eagle Pass‚ Texas‚ a location that has experienced large surges of illegal immigrants.  “They have a duty under the Constitution… and every other norm of leadership of any sovereign state‚ to protect your citizens‚ period‚ full stop. There is no exception to that‚” Roy told Fox News. “And if the Supreme Court wants to ignore that truth‚ which a slim majority did‚ Texas still had the duty‚ Texas leaders still have the duty‚ to defend their people.” “It’s like‚ if someone’s breaking into your house‚ and the court says‚ ‘Oh‚ sorry. CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP “This is not over‚” Abbott said‚ responding to the ruling. “Texas’ razor wire is an effective deterrent to the illegal crossings Biden encourages. I will continue to defend Texas’ constitutional authority to secure the border and prevent the Biden Admin from destroying our property.”  The case over the razor wire remains ongoing. The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals is set to hear arguments on February 7.  “The Supreme Court’s temporary order allows Biden to continue his illegal effort to aid the foreign invasion of America‚” Paxton said. “The destruction of Texas’s border barriers will not help enforce the law or keep American citizens safe. This fight is not over‚ and I look forward to defending our state’s sovereignty.” The Biden administration has also sued Texas over placing barriers in the Rio Grande River and a new state law that allows the state to arrest illegal immigrants for trespassing.
