Behar Admits Dems Want Trump to Be Nominee‚ Wants Haley in to Annoy Him

With the polls open for the New Hampshire primary‚ the Tuesday edition of ABC’s The View began with the Cackling Coven giving their worthless hot takes on the state of the Republican field they would never vote for. Confirming what many have suggested‚ co-host Joy Behar admitted that Democrats‚ including some of the cast‚ wanted former President Donald Trump to be the GOP nominee because they thought he posed an easier fight in the general election. They also pleaded for former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley to stay in the race and at least just be a nuisance to Trump. Not leaning on cries of “sexism” this time‚ faux conservative Alyssa Farah Griffin proclaimed that everyone needed to vote for Haley in the primary “Because this man is so uniquely unfit that we cannot lose the forest for the trees.” She decried those on the left who claimed Haley posed a threat to the country on par with Trump. Behar countered Farah Griffin’s advocacy for Haley by admitting that “there are some Democrats included who think that Biden has a better chance of winning if he goes up against Trump.” “He does‚” staunchly racist and anti-Semitic co-host Sunny Hostin agreed. Co-host Sara Haines also thought that line of thinking had merit. “He probably has a better chance against Donald Trump than he does Nikki Haley. So‚ there could be a positive flip side if you don't want Trump‚” she argued. “That's a major gamble. That is a scary gamble‚” Alyssa Farah warned. On Haley’s future in the race post-New Hampshire‚ Behar and moderator Whoopi Goldberg wanted her to stay in the race no matter what just to be horn in Trump’s side: BEHAR: The more she stays in‚ the more demented he looks. Because‚ right – [Applause] She needs to stay there so that he can talk about – GOLDBERG: Just to annoy him. BEHAR: Just to annoy him. Continuing to admit inconvenient truths‚ Behar admitted she’s “noticed” that President Biden is “physically frail.” Hostin tried to argue that his health was perfectly fine because Biden “rides his bike.” “He rides his bike‚ but he's thin. You know. And sometimes the knees start to go when you're older‚” she said. But she tried to blunt the truth by suggesting his “brain is working.” Behar downplayed Biden’s failing mental state by focusing on Trump’s mental slips. “He keeps saying that he's running against Obama. He said that Biden was going to start World War II‚” she huffed. Hostin asserted that Trump’s comments could indicate “a decline in mental health” But Behar undermined her arguments from previous shows where she suggested that since she and Biden were similar ages and she’s fine‚ that means the President’s mind was solid. Throughout her ranting‚ she showed off her own mental lapses when she falsely claimed Trump got out of serving in Vietnam by saying he had “bone spores” instead of “bone spurs.” She also insisted that Trump was going to make ID cards a requirement to buy bread. The transcript is below. Click "expand" to read: ABC’s The View January 23‚ 2024 11:03:07 a.m. Eastern (…) JOY BEHAR: The more she stays in‚ the more demented he looks. Because‚ right – [Applause] She needs to stay there so that he can talk about – WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Just to annoy him. BEHAR: Just to annoy him. You know‚ I mean‚ he has had so many gaffes. You know‚ they talk about Biden being old. Biden may be physically frail. He is a little bit. I noticed that. SUNNY HOSTIN: He rides his bike a lot! BEHAR: He rides his bike‚ but he's thin. You know. And sometimes the knees start to go when you're older‚ but the brain is working. HOSTIN: Yeah. BEHAR: The other guy‚ okay. He keeps saying that he's running against Obama. [Laughter] ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN: Which he's never been‚ by the way. BEHAR: He said that Biden was going to start World War II. Hello‚ you had bone spores [sic] – [Crosstalk‚ cast collectively telling her “bone spurs”] BEHAR: Bone spurs during the Vietnam War‚ wasn't it? All right‚ well‚ anyway‚ he didn't do either one. He confused Hamas with hummus. [Laughter] He alleged voter that I.D. is needed to buy a loaf of bread. That will happen if he gets in. He warned about whales washing up on shore. He says that veterans don't have cell phones. And now he's confusing Nancy Pelosi with Nikki Haley. HOSTIN: Yes. BEHAR: So‚ in addition to having -- GOLDBERG: Is that because to him everybody looks alike. BEHAR: All the white people. [Laughter] No‚ he says she was there on January 6th. Nikki Haley was not there on January 6th. Nancy Pelosi was there. HOSTIN: It could be a decline in mental health. BEHAR: But in addition to all these demented moments‚ he has narcissistic personality disorder. (…) 11:09:06 a.m. Eastern FARAH GRIFFIN: Because this man is so uniquely unfit that we cannot lose the forest for the trees. BEHAR: But there are some Democrats included who think that Biden has a better chance of winning if he goes up against Trump. HOSTIN: He does. BEHAR: What is your opinion of that? FARAH GRIFFIN: That's a major gamble. That is a scary gamble. SARA HAINES: He probably has a better chance against Donald Trump than he does Nikki Haley. So‚ there could be a positive flip side if you don't want Trump that -- HOSTIN: And I don't want Nikki Haley in the Oval Office. I think she's an enigma. FARAH GRIFFIN: But you don't think she's as dangerous as Donald Trump. BEHAR: She’s not as dangerous as Trump. HOSTIN: I don’t think we know her. GOLDBERG: Nobody knows how dangerous anybody is. Nobody knows any of this‚ and I'm just going to put out we know – HAINES: We know Donald Trump though. GOLDBERG: We know what he is. We have not seen how dangerous he can be‚ but we don't know how dangerous somebody else can be because now he's opened the door for people doing whatever they want to do. (…)

Trudeau mocked after Liberals crack down on wood ovens with 'crusade' against pizzerias and bagel shops

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was mocked for his party having out-of-touch priorities after the federal government carried out compliance checks at restaurants that have wood-fired ovens.Trudeau's Liberals implemented the ominous-sounding "compliance promotion activities" at vendors such as pizzerias and bagel shops to determine whether or not the restaurants are following emissions regulations under the National Pollutant Release Inventory program. The program is a publicly available list regarding what type of pollutants are released into air‚ water‚ or land by businesses. Businesses must report all alleged pollutants to the government‚ which includes declaring the operation of stationary combustion equipment and what contaminants it releases. The government claimed that the NPRI does not regulate the emissions; rather it just keeps track of them."Addressing air pollution is a shared responsibility between federal‚ provincial and territorial governments. Some provinces and municipalities in Canada also have standards in place that set limits on air pollutant emissions from new residential wood-burning appliances‚" a government spokesperson told CTV News.Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre took shots at the prime minister for his "crusade" against pizza ovens while seemingly ignoring actual crises."I know that Prime Minister Trudeau and his federal agency have launched an outright crusade against pizza ovens‚" Poilievre told reporters. "They started in Montreal‚ but we know they will get out here to Vancouver." "[Residents] who are locked in their homes and terrified of pizza ovens should be at ease that Justin Trudeau will come to your rescue‚" the party leader sarcastically said. "Don't worry about your 100% rent increase or the fact that you can't feed yourself; Justin Trudeau is spending your money going after pizza ovens here and everywhere‚ and he will not stop until this crisis is resolved." Pierre Poilievre pokes fun at the Trudeau Liberals for launching "an outright crusade against pizza ovens." — (@) Poilievre appeared to be rereferring to Montreal's ban on older wood-burning stoves and fireplaces‚ which has been discussed as possibly becoming more strict since the rules came into effect in 2018.Montreal's health department cracked down on the stoves further in 2020 after the city's health department revealed that 3% of air pollution in the city came from commercial wood-burning stoves.Similar government regulation was seen in New York in 2023‚ after the NYC Department of Environmental Protection drafted new rules to regulate coal and wood-fired ovens installed in restaurants prior to May 2016.A man threw pizza at city hall in protest.Like Blaze News? Dean Phillips humbles reporters with lesson in journalism‚ explains why Joe Biden is 'going to get creamed'

Rep. Dean Phillips (D-Minn.) called out the media on Monday for ignoring the true concerns of American voters.Speaking with reporters in Manchester‚ New Hampshire‚ one day before the "first in the nation" primary‚ an exasperated Phillips pleaded with the media to understand why Americans support Donald Trump."I've said this 18‚000 times: I'm only doing this to defeat Donald Trump. Nobody seems to want to do that in the Democratic Party right now other than me‚" he said‚ "because Joe Biden can't‚ is my proposition‚ because the data says he can't. "No one in the country right now cares — in fact‚ most of the people in the country are going to the Trump rally right now because he's listening to them. No one's asking about this stuff‚" Phillips continued. "I'm just frustrated."The Minnesota Democrat then dished out a lesson in journalism: to derive truthful observations or conclusions‚ you must first ask insightful questions."You're doing your jobs‚ but you're not asking the questions Americans give a s*** about‚" he told the reporters. — (@) Phillips understands why voters are interested in Trump because‚ one day before those comments‚ he spoke with voters who attended a Trump rally in New Hampshire on Sunday. He later recounted his experience in an interview with CNN anchor Jake Tapper."People are really fearful‚" Phillips explained. "Last night‚ I saw a Trump rally outside of mine. I walked up to the line of people a mile long. And I simply said‚ 'Hello.' I was met with 50 people going to the Trump rally who were friendly‚ hospitable‚ thoughtful‚ and some who said they voted for Barack Obama‚ some said they were Bernie Sanders supporters‚ about half of whom had never been to a Trump event before."So to everybody watching right now: Donald Trump is on a big mission to win and Joe Biden is going to get creamed‚" Phillips warned. "I just wish Democrats would wake up and ensure that at least we give it our best shot because right now I'm afraid we are diluted into a nightmare."Phillips' bid for the White House is more than a long shot. But he isn't exactly doing terribly. In fact‚ one poll recently showed that he only trails President Joe Biden by 22 points among New Hampshire's likely Democratic primary voters. And on Monday‚ Phillips received an endorsement from the New Hampshire Union Leader‚ the largest newspaper in the state. While Phillips won't be the next president‚ it is clear he understands why Trump is surging politically — and why Biden is more vulnerable than ever. Like Blaze News? 21 Israeli soldiers killed in deadliest attack since Oct. 7‚ Netanyahu vows 'absolute victory'

Palestinian militants carried out the deadliest attack against Israel since October 7‚ when Hamas slaughtered 1‚200 Israelis and abducted 240 more. The latest attack killed 21 soldiers‚ according to the Associated Press. The Israeli military said the soldiers were setting up explosives to take down two buildings in central Gaza when a Palestinian militant fired a rocket-propelled grenade at a tank nearby. The blast from the rocket ignited the explosives inside the two buildings‚ causing the buildings to collapse on top of the soldiers.Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed sorrow at the loss of the soldiers‚ noting that the day had been one of the most difficult since the war began. But he went on to say that the Jewish state would not stop until it had claimed victory in the region. — (@) Fox News Digital reported that 217 Israeli soldiers have been killed since the offensive began in late October. Three soldiers were also killed on Monday in a separate event. However‚ some have speculated that a potential ceasefire is now out of reach‚ as Netanyahu vowed to push forward with the war until "absolute victory."Just hours after the attack‚ the Israeli military announced that it had surrounded the city of Khan Younis — Gaza's second-largest city. While the accomplishment marked a major military advance for the Jewish state‚ it is not clear how much closer Israel is to destroying Hamas. Israel has also had to grapple to free Israeli hostages that were taken back to Gaza on October 7.The Times of Israel reported that IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi sent out a video statement on the deaths of the soldiers‚ saying: "We share in the grief of their families for the heavy loss‚ and know that the pain is too great to bear."“If this is any comfort‚ I would like the families to know‚ they fell in battle near the border fence‚ during a defense operation in the buffer zone between the Israeli communities and Gaza. This is a task whose entire purpose is to create the security conditions for the safe return of the residents of [the Gaza border communities] to their homes‚” he added.“To that end‚ we went to war‚ which began with a cruel attempt to stop life‚ and we are more determined than ever to bring life back here‚ even more strongly."“We‚ as always‚ will investigate the incident in depth and learn the lessons while fighting‚ so that such an incident will not happen again."Like Blaze News? The depressing truth behind the polyamory trend

The depressing truth behind the polyamory trend

The internet last week was inundated with a slew of articles — including an entire issue of New York magazine — about the “increasingly mainstream trend” of polyamory. But the unspoken detail at the center of all this discussion of polyamory was a goal: to promote Molly Roden Winter's new memoir‚ “More.” To quote the New York Times‚ “More” is about how one mother’s “big sexual adventure‚” i.e. polyamory‚ helped her “find herself.” What she found and why exactly she needed to open up her marriage to find it remained unclear even to the most open-minded readers. The newsletter Today in Tabs may have put it best: “Rich people have made polyamory boring.” So the media hamster wheel turned‚ and suddenly‚ social media buzzed with conversations about polyamory. Apparently‚ “everyone” is "ethically non-monogamous" now. If you’re on the apps‚ you simply can’t avoid it. But everyone where? Bushwick? Park Slope? I was skeptical. Polyamory is‚ to put it bluntly‚ a lot of work. Granted‚ not everybody who’s polyamorous adheres to its subcultural norms‚ but generally speaking‚ it’s a formalized system of having multiple partners. It typically involves long discussions about boundaries‚ rules‚ and occasionally‚ even contracts. I mean that literally. It’s a relationship style in which contractual obligations aren’t unheard of and‚ in some cases‚ are even considered a good thing. Anyway‚ long story short‚ I simply don’t buy that it’s all that common outside the rarefied circles of the New York media class and San Francisco Burning Man attendees. Maybe the idea that polyamory is sweeping the country is just wish fulfillment. People are cheating or simply not committing in the first place. I live in Chicago and don’t know anyone who would use the terms "polyamory" or "ethical non-monogamy." I asked my siblings‚ both young professionals in the Miami area‚ if they thought it was a trend where they were‚ and they said the same. They know polyamorous people; it’s not unheard of‚ but usually they’re not heterosexual. And trends in gay relationships‚ my sister suggested‚ might not be translatable to heterosexual ones. “I don’t know any straight poly people.” G.‚ a 34-year-old woman from New York who’s been in a polyamorous relationship for a decade and in the wider scene for a little bit longer‚ shared my skepticism that polyamory as she knew it was creeping into the mainstream. More people were talking about it from her perspective‚ but that wasn’t the same thing as actively participating in it. She compared it to when Newsweek released its now-infamous bisexuality issue in 1995. Almost three decades on‚ what’s the verdict? In her experience‚ many more people identify as bisexual‚ but that doesn’t necessarily mean that reflects their physical world experience. The same‚ according to G.‚ may end up being the case with polyamory — all talk‚ no commitment. I decided to take to Tinder‚ Hinge‚ and Bumble and run a little experiment. Using three different profiles‚ two women and one man‚ all under the age of 45‚ I did a cursory search of the greater Chicagoland dating landscape. How many polyamorous or ethically non-monogamous people would I be able to find? I swiped for approximately an hour on each app. In total‚ I found only two people who identified as poly or ethically non-monogamous. There were a higher number of profiles run by heterosexual couples looking for “a third” for one night only‚ but that was also pretty rare. Now‚ a few things are possible. I didn’t even spend a day on this search; it was cursory. It’s also plausible that people just aren’t advertising it on their profiles‚ which is fair; saying you’re poly could scare people off. It didn’t seem ethical to start conversations with people using a puppet profile‚ so I didn’t. For all I know‚ people bring it up once you begin messaging one another. When I shared my results with friends‚ they told me that I’d have better luck if I set my location to Portland‚ San Francisco‚ or Brooklyn or used more specialized dating apps‚ like “sex positive” Feeld or OKCupid. But if it’s “increasingly mainstream‚” as New York magazine claims‚ wouldn’t it be easier to find polyamorous people in an area as diverse as within 100 miles of Chicago? “Increasingly mainstream” seems to imply that I wouldn’t have to visit designated subcultural spaces or notoriously progressive cities to encounter it in the wild. Still‚ I recognize that my brief search for the polyamorous wasn’t investigative journalism. It wasn’t an in-depth sociological survey. It wasn’t a poll or a study. All I had was a modest amount of anecdotal evidence. Unfortunately‚ determining the numbers around polyamory has so far been a challenging topic to research. According to Psychology Today‚ there are definitional challenges; people may not be comfortable talking about it‚ and it’s hard to get a random sample. But some data is available‚ and it at least partially validated my anecdotal evidence. For example‚ polyamory is more prevalent among non-heterosexual couples than heterosexual ones‚ and it’s most popular among people who identify as bisexual. In that same data set‚ however‚ one in five people said they’d been in a non-monogamous relationship‚ which‚ crucially‚ is not the same thing as polyamory. If there is a trend‚ that might be it. Not a conscious embrace of alternative relationship models‚ but something a little bit darker. People who are dating aren’t dating exclusively and not always by choice. Monogamy may be a distant goal‚ but the truth is that the best many people can manage is short-term and uncommitted‚ with the alternative being nothing at all. “Casually dating‚” as opposed to dating for marriage. The conversation about polyamory may be the sugar-coated version — New York media’s aspirations to promote Roden’s memoir aside. Maybe the people who are not in monogamous relationships aren’t because they can’t be. They’re not opting in to free love. It’s being forced on them. Maybe it’s that the ever-diminishing population of people who are dating at all are trapped in a societal change of short-term relationships with people who aren’t interested or‚ worse‚ aren’t capable of a longer-term arrangement. And when they do commit‚ if they commit‚ the threat of a never-ending corral of backups looms. Conversations about behaviors like “micro-cheating” — Millennial and Zoomer parlance for “having a wandering eye” — seem more salient in this environment than concerns about polyamory’s popularity. Maybe the idea that polyamory is sweeping the country is just wish fulfillment. People are cheating or simply not committing in the first place. Might as well make it look like a choice.

California State University faculty strike to demand 'gender-inclusive' restrooms‚ pay increases — reach tentative agreement

Unionized faculty at California State University‚ the largest university system in the nation‚ launched a strike on Monday‚ the first day of the semester.According to a Thursday press release from the California Faculty Association‚ a union representing 29‚000 CSU workers‚ the "systemwide strike" resulted from failed contract negotiations that have been ongoing since May. The union‚ which planned to stage a five-day walkout‚ claims that CSU management has responded to its requests with "disrespect and derision."The unionized faculty requested a 12% pay raise that remains ahead of inflation‚ "manageable workloads‚" additional student counselors to provide mental health services‚ the expansion of "paid parental leave to a full semester‚" lactation and milk storage spaces‚ and "safe gender-inclusive restrooms and changing rooms." They also asked for "pay equity‚" including "raising the floor for our lowest-paid faculty."Chris Cox‚ CFA vice president of racial and social justice‚ north‚ and San José State lecturer‚ stated Thursday that CSU management has only addressed the union's salary requests. "They have completely ignored the issues of workload‚ health and safety concerns‚ and parental leave. Management wouldn't even consider our proposals for appropriate class sizes‚ proper lactation spaces for nursing parents‚ gender-inclusive bathroom spaces‚ and a clear delineation of our rights when interacting with campus authorities‚" Cox said.CFA Pomona member and Cal Poly Pomona Counselor Maria Gisela Sanchez Cobo added that she is "fully hurt and disheartened" that CSU increased student tuition costs. "It's very disturbing the incongruence of the narrative management presents – they have no funding‚ but they have enough for presidents' raises and more and more administrators‚" Sanchez Cobo noted. 🚨STRIKE DAY! Thousands on historic STATE-WIDE STRIKE!
📢TELL @thecsu management to invest in their FACULTY &; STUDENTS!
⏰Time for manageable workloads‚ fair pay‚ more mental health counselors‚ better parental leave‚ &; safe campuses. #RaisetheFloor #SolidaritySeason — (@) Late Monday evening‚ the CFA announced that it had reached a tentative agreement with CSU management. "In case anyone forgot‚ STRIKES WORK! After months of negotiations‚ our movement for a #betterCSU has paid off! Our members have won a Tentative Agreement with @calstate that includes raising the floor for our most vulnerable faculty‚ safer workplaces &; expanded parental leave‚" the union wrote on X.As a result of the tentative agreement‚ the union called off its five-day strike‚ instructing faculty to return to work Tuesday.CFA President Charles Toombs stated Monday evening‚ "The collective action of so many lecturers‚ professors‚ counselors‚ librarians‚ and coaches over these last eight months forced CSU management to take our demands seriously. This Tentative Agreement makes major gains for all faculty at the CSU."As part of the tentative arrangement‚ CSU management reportedly agreed to a 5% general salary increase‚ a salary step increase of 2.65% for 2024-2025‚ expanded paid parental leave from six to 10 weeks‚ and greater access to "gender-inclusive restrooms and lactation spaces." CSU management also agreed to "increas[e] protection for faculty who have dealings with police by providing for a union rep in those interactions.""At the bargaining table‚ CSU management did not take our proposals seriously until CFA members were willing to withhold our labor. Our bargaining proposals offered solutions to desperately needed equity transformation for CSU students‚ faculty‚ and staff‚ including raising the base salary for our lowest paid‚ struggling faculty‚ manageable workloads that allow for more student engagement‚ more mental health services for students‚ limits to police power‚ and humane and adequate parental leave‚" the union stated. In a Monday statement‚ CSU confirmed that it reached an agreement with the union. "Students are advised to look for messages from their instructors regarding adjustments to their classes‚" the university stated. "Further details regarding the agreement will be provided in the coming days."Like Blaze News? Bypass the censors‚ sign up for our newsletters‚ and get stories like this direct to your inbox. 6 comedians roasting the mainstream media

Jon Stewart attacked Fox News early and often during his “Daily Show” reign. That’s hardly a shock. The progressive still found time to mock CNN. He even created a website‚ LetsBuyCNN.com‚ to shame the channel’s wobbly news coverage. Today’s late-night hosts‚ by and large‚ refuse to skewer any non-Fox network. “Saturday Night Live” is the same‚ and most mainstream comics also won’t slam the rise of Fake News. The following comedians are the exception to that new rule. They know modern journalists are too often cheerleaders for Democrats or so-called “approved” narratives. They may not get mainstream media adoration like Stephen Colbert or John Oliver for their observations. They’re fed up with the lies and misdirection and use their platforms to rage against CNN‚ the New York Times‚ and other outlets. Joe Rogan Rogan may be the biggest name to routinely bash the press. Reporters gave the “Fear Factor” alum a personal reason to do so in 2021. He contracted COVID-19 and gulped down several medications‚ under a doctor’s orders‚ to smite the virus. They included ivermectin‚ the drug journalists mocked as “horse de-wormer.” That narrative ignored its Nobel Prize-winning properties. Rogan got his revenge‚ and then some. He interviewed CNN’s on-call Dr. Sanjay Gupta and rhetorically pummeled him for the channel’s duplicitous coverage. “It’s a lie on a news network … and it’s a lie that they’re conscious of. It’s not a mistake. They’re unfavorably framing it as veterinary medicine.” Rogan‚ who pals around with rebel pundits like Michael Malice‚ wasn’t done with Fake News purveyors. He argues most people understand not to fully trust the press. “The most optimistic person says‚ ‘Well‚ they lie sometimes.' That was never the case with Walter Cronkite.” Adam Carolla Getty Images/Mickey Bernal Fellow podcaster Carolla may be the most consistent media critic in his comedy peer group. Carolla‚ his ex-“Loveline” co-host Dr. Drew Pinsky often by his side‚ pummels the corrupt press on both “The Adam Carolla Show” podcast and “The Adam and Dr. Drew Show.” The latter is relentless in exposing press corruption. Last month‚ the former “Man Show” star summed up his fury against the media with cold‚ hard facts. “Every mainstream media narrative of the last five years has been wrong‚ if you really think about it‚ or skewed or morphed into something. … Maybe you start with Russian collusion and the Steele dossier. ‘There’s a tape. There’s a pee-pee tape.' And you roll it all the way through COVID or George Floyd or Kyle Rittenhouse … and Hunter Biden’s laptop. “They’ve been wrong. And not wrong around the edges … there’s always wrong around the edges. They’ve been flat-out f***ing wrong about all of it.” Why isn’t his old “Man Show” partner saying the same from his well-funded ABC bully pulpit “Jimmy Kimmel Live?” Tim Dillon Getty Images/Michael S. Schwartz Comic Dillon doesn’t fit into any snug box‚ politically speaking. He may lean to the right‚ but he’s happy to punish conservatives with alacrity. He recently mocked the press for running cover for former President Bill Clinton after the former leader’s name repeatedly appeared in the Epstein files. “It’s very important that NBC and all the other news networks that we know and trust come out and first and foremost defend the honor of the man who’s mentioned 50 times in the human trafficking docs. Who will do it‚ if not NBC?” Dillon said. “Being friends with the human trafficker‚ being on the plane of the human trafficker‚ having the human trafficker’s friend at the wedding … it just happens.” Rob Schneider Getty Images/Slaven Vlasic We may be biased‚ considering that "Saturday Night Live" alum Schneider celebrated his 60th birthday — and conversion to Catholicism — in a piece for Align in November. But even if he hadn't‚ we'd still applaud his departure from Hollywood liberal groupthink and his willingess to skewer CNN for its "lies‚ distortions [and] fake sources" — and to celebrate when the network endures another brutal ratings period. “CNN records lowest weekend ratings in demo in recorded history… More people see MY tweets than watch the Liberal partisan dumpster fire that is CNN.” Sue Costello Getty Images/Brad Barket Veteran comedian Costello is no stranger to mocking the press. She recalled going on stage after news broke in November 2017 about Louis C.K.’s gross sexual behaviors in front of unsuspecting women. The Boston-bred Costello could have piled on C.K. Instead‚ she told Blaze News how she used her mic time to mock a craven "New York Times" reporter for circling her "like a vulture" for more dirt on the disgraced comic. Costello has squared off against what she calls unscrupulous journalists since then‚ using platforms like her “SueTV” videos and X to hold the media accountable. Her legal battle with CBS over her deal to create and star in a “pro-female” TV series continues‚ and she’s fearlessly exposing how even the most forward-thinking liberals in Hollywood play nasty when there's money on the line. Jimmy Dore Getty Images/Tara Ziemba Liberal comic Dore would seem an unlikely media critic. Why rage against a machine supporting your ideological leanings? Instead‚ Dore hammers the press on his “Jimmy Dore Show” podcast‚ a satirical smash-up of comedy and punditry. He’s been doing it for some time‚ calling his podcast “What the Daily Show would be if it wasn’t hosted by a millionaire.” Dore called out the “Russian collusion” hoax from the jump and later praised Rogan for revealing the baked-in biases of too much modern journalism. “In a minute and a half‚ Joe Rogan has already done more truth than MSNBC has done in 10 years‚” Dore quipped on his show. “He told you about the Hunter Biden [laptop] was true and real and was suppressed.”

New school board members vote to reinstate Native American mascot at Pennsylvania high school‚ slam cancel culture

A community in Pennsylvania recently took back its indigenous history and reinstated a school's tribesman mascot last week. The development came after five school committee members won elections by running on pro-Native American platforms‚ according to Fox News Digital. The school board of the Southern York County School District allowed Susquehannock High School to once again use its Warrior logos after a vote of 7-2 on Thursday. This comes as certain Native American mascots have been banned in certain parts of the country. California was the first state to ban "Redskins" as a team name or mascot in 2015. In 2022‚ the NFL team formerly known as the Washington Redskins changed its name to the Washington Commanders after activists claimed that the mascot was an example of systemic racism. However‚ the Chicago Blackhawks NHL team is one organization that has stood up against cancel culture‚ saying the team would not change the mascot in 2020. The organization insisted that the mascot was meant to honor a specific person‚ Black Hawk of Illinois.Native American activist and historian Andre Billeaudeuax told Fox News Digital that "this vote was the Lexington &; Concord moment in the effort to defeat cancel culture." All seven of the votes that came down in favor of the Warrior logo came from members who had been elected to the board since 2021 when the logo was banned. The Native American Guardians Association said that "the SYCSD school board stands as a role model and blueprint for other communities fighting for their Native names and imagery" in a statement last week. Jennifer Henkel‚ a mother and a new school board member‚ said‚ "This movement was about erasing Native American culture‚ and I wasn’t about to stand for it." She said she was motivated to get involved after the negative impact of COVID-19 lockdowns and the rise of cancel culture‚ which seeks to erase some of the community's history. However‚ some within the community are not on the same page as Henkel. Deborah Kalina‚ a former school board member‚ wrote in an editorial for the York Daily Record that "they came into their new positions with bravado to push their personal agendas‚ and not with humility to learn their jobs.""To put the mascot away is respect for the past‚ for the present and for the future‚" Katy Isennock‚ a mother and Native American‚ said. The Associated Press reported that many students and parents did not want the change in 2021‚ but they were afraid of being called racists. Shocking: New poll reveals America’s elites subscribe to these 5 harrowing beliefs

America's elite class‚ not shockingly‚ hold some shocking beliefs. In a poll conducted on behalf of the Committee to Unleash Prosperity‚ the American public was split into the general class‚ elites‚ and “super elites” and asked a range of questions. 73% of elite and super elite respondents considered themselves Democrats — and their answers were disturbing. According to their answers‚ 77% of elites and 89% of super elites support strict rationing of meat‚ gas‚ and electricity. A majority would ban gas-powered cars‚ prevent Americans from engaging in nonessential air travel‚ and believe the government affords Americans too much freedom. “Holy cow‚” Glenn Beck reacts‚ disturbed. “The rest of the country doesn’t feel that way.” A majority of the elites and super elites also trust the government to do the right thing and approve of Joe Biden by a whopping 83%. Glenn recognizes this mindset for what it is. “This is not a war against Republicans and Democrats‚ this is the elites versus everybody else. They don’t see the world the same way at all‚” Glenn explains. The elites also reported that they’re doing well financially in the current climate‚ while everyone else is struggling. "They're supporting Biden because they're getting richer. You're feeling pain‚” Glenn says. Poetic justice: Cop walks into 7-Eleven while armed robber stands in front of register with bag full of stolen cash

A security camera captured a moment of poetic justice when a uniformed police officer walked into a southern California 7-Eleven last week while a hooded armed robber stood in front of the store's register with a bag full of stolen cash. Let's just say the crook didn't get away with what he was after. What are the details? Video recorded the suspect — 48-year-old Ramon Gonzalez — approaching the counter of the store in West Covina on Wednesday and asking the clerk to grab him a pack of cigarettes‚ KTLA-TV reported. As the clerk began placing the cigarettes into a bag‚ the station said the suspect lifted his sweatshirt‚ revealed a gun‚ and demanded everything in the register. The clerk complied and began placing cash into the bag‚ KTLA said. Image source: YouTube screenshot The crook might have gotten away with an easy heist‚ but as it was all going down‚ the security camera caught West Covina Sgt. Abel Hernandez — a frequent customer of the 7-Eleven — walking into the store to purchase some water and greet the clerk‚ the station said. Image source: YouTube screenshot “So I saw the subject in there‚ and at first‚ I really didn’t think anything” Hernandez recounted to KTLA. “I saw the gloves‚ I saw the ski mask‚ and that night it was a little chilly‚ so I figured‚ 'Okay.'" Image source: YouTube screenshot But in those moments Hernandez also noticed the distressed look on the clerk's face‚ the station said. “He’s always with a smile‚ but as I entered the store‚ I saw the fear in his face‚ and I knew something was up‚” Hernandez added to KTLA. “I remember just keeping my eye on the subject.” The robber soon lifted the bag of cash off the counter — about $400 — spotted Hernandez walking in‚ and made a run for the door‚ the station said. The clerk shouted‚ “He’s got a gun! He robbed me!” as Hernandez turned and chased after the suspect‚ KTLA said. Image source: YouTube screenshot “To me it seemed slow even though I look at the video‚ and it seemed like I took off pretty quick‚” the 17-year veteran cop added to the station. “Everything sort of slows down. I was able to catch him 15 to 20 feet right outside the doors of the store.” KTLA said Hernandez tackled the suspect‚ who put up a brief fight before giving up. Soon backup officers arrived at the scene‚ the station said‚ and they recovered the cash — as well as a loaded handgun. Hernandez told KTLA that it was "fortunate" no one was hurt: “Thank God that the outcome was what it was.” The suspect faces several charges including robbery and being a felon in possession of a firearm‚ the station said. Maybe pick another convenience store chain? Interestingly‚ the same thing happened at a 7-Eleven four days prior in Carson‚ which is about 50 minutes southwest of West Covina. Yep‚ a sheriff's deputy walked in on four armed suspects trying to rob the convenience store‚ and the outcome was the same — all four were arrested. KTLA said there has been a rash of robberies at 7-Eleven stores across Los Angeles and Long Beach‚ but authorities haven't said if the robberies are related. Like Blaze News?
