Trans-identifying golfer Hailey Davidson‚ a biological man‚ told “Good Morning Britain” on Monday that men have advantages over women in sports‚ but because he had gender surgery‚ he no longer has that physical advantage over his female competitors.  Last week‚ Davidson won in the NXXT Women’s Classic in Florida‚ boosting himself into first place in the league and inching closer to a Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) qualifying tour. Davidson‚ who previously played on a men’s collegiate golf team‚ joined the British talk show to discuss his victory and the ensuing backlash‚ and the golfer made a few admissions about the controversy of trans-identifying athletes competing in women’s sports.  “My whole philosophy behind all of this is I don’t believe trans people should be banned from sports‚ but I do believe there needs to be guidelines in effect‚” Davidson said‚ according to Fox News. “Going back even four years ago or even before I had surgery‚ I definitely had an advantage. I would 100% agree with that.” “But the difference is now that years have gone on‚ three years after surgery‚ my physical capabilities now compared to back then are night and day. So again‚ honestly‚ I 100% agree that men do have advantages. The tournament win puts Davidson at the top of the season’s leaderboard. The top five players at the end of the season get exemptions to participate in the Epson Tour‚ which is the official developmental tour of the LPGA Tour. Davidson also took home a $1‚576.51 award for the NXXT Women’s Classic win‚ putting his total winnings for the season at $4‚206.84. He also leads the NXXT Women’s Tour in total Eagles with three and total Birdies with 50.  Following the backlash to Davidson’s tournament victory‚ NXXT Golf CEO Stuart McKinnon said his organization is “dedicated to transparency and thoroughness in addressing this matter” and asked Davidson to “undergo additional testosterone testing to ensure compliance with the appropriate guidelines.” He added that NXXT Golf will poll its players on transgender policies. LPGA players voted in 2010 to remove the tour’s requirement that golfers be “female at birth” to join. The vote came two months after a trans-identifying person sued‚ arguing that the rule violated California civil rights law‚ The New York Times reported. The LPGA’s “Gender Policy” says people “who have undergone gender reassignment from male to female after puberty are eligible for membership and/or participation in tournaments.” 

After many months of speculation and predictions‚ the nominations for the 2024 Academy Awards were announced on Tuesday. To no one’s surprise‚ “Oppenheimer” led the pack with 13 total nominations‚ including the highly coveted Best Picture.  The sci-fi drama “Poor Things” was the second most nominated title with 11 total nods. The judge overseeing the case of a man accused of murdering two Delphi‚ Indiana‚ teenagers refused to throw out evidence obtained through a search of the suspect’s home. Attorneys for Richard Allen‚ 51‚ argued that the probable cause affidavit police used to search Allen’s home contained misleading information‚ failed to establish what evidence police were looking for‚ and how that evidence linked to the crime‚ FOX 59 reported. Judge Fran Gull – whom Allen’s attorneys tried to get removed from the case – ruled on Monday that evidence collected from the search of Allen’s home would stay in. Allen’s attorneys‚ recently reinstated Andrew Baldwin and Bradley Rozzi‚ said the search was illegal‚ but Judge Gull ruled that the court determined the probable cause affidavit “contained information that a reasonable belief existed that evidence of the murders would be found in (Allen’s) home and vehicles.” Gull also argued that the affidavit did not contain false statements and that it did not omit information. “As the Court has found the Affidavit for issuance of the search warrant was valid‚ the search itself was reasonable and legal under Indiana law and Fourth Amendment case law‚” Gull wrote in her ruling‚ according to Fox 59. One of the main pieces of evidence prosecutors say links Allen to the murders of 13-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German on a hiking trail in 2017 is an unfired bullet found at the crime scene. The prosecution says this bullet was matched to a Sig Sauer Model P226 found during a search of Allen’s home. Definitively proving an unspent bullet came from a particular gun is not as simple as the affidavit makes it seem‚ according to Stephen Gutowski‚ a certified firearms instructor and reporter who founded The Reload. CLICK HERE TO GET THE DAILYWIRE+ APP “The forensic techniques used by crime labs to match specific guns to specific bullets have come under heavy scrutiny in recent years‚” Gutowski told The Daily Wire in November 2022. “So‚ I think it’s important to examine claims like this with a healthy dose of skepticism. The idea you could match a mark on the rim of a casing to a specific gun’s extractor seems dubious to me.” “I could see an argument that an extractor on a certain model of gun could leave a unique marking on an unspent round if the round were cycled through the firearm since the extractor may have dimensions that are different from other firearms‚” he added. “However‚ the Sig Sauer P226 has been an incredibly popular firearm for decades‚ and it’s unlikely the mass-produced extractors included on each pistol would leave a marking that’s obviously distinguishable from another P226.”

Rick Harrison‚ who is best known for his work on the History Channel’s hit reality series “Pawn Stars‚” blamed the border crisis for the recent death of his son‚ Adam. Harrison told The New York Post that Adam‚ who was 39‚ died from a fentanyl overdose. Ornithologists might point out that this is a non-breeding adult‚ which is identified by the slight white patches around its head and neck. Razorbills are a northern sea bird with an average size comparable to a common crow. They make their communal homes in coastal regions‚ islands‚ and rocky areas. Their typical migration path brings them down into the New England states during winter months. It is quite common for them to appear in Boston Harbor. The razorbill is also known as the razor-billed auk. The birds are avid fishers who often stalk schools over the open ocean. They are able to swim down 5 to 20 feet‚ where they catch most of their food‚ and can catch more than one fish per dive. They are also little thieves and may steal fish from other auks or puffins. Young birds leave the nest before they can fly‚ hanging out with their parents on the cliff faces and swimming. Razorbills don’t mate until they reach four to five years of age.
