CBS Offers Press Release to 'Devout Catholic' Biden Pushing Abortion

CBS Offers Press Release to 'Devout Catholic' Biden Pushing Abortion

On Thursday’s CBS Mornings‚ they turned to reporter Caitlin Huey-Burns in New Hampshire for a story recounting the Republican presidential candidates raucously attacking either other – as globalist RINOS or tantrum-throwers‚ take your pick. But then they turned to the Other Party‚ and there were no attacks‚ as if there were no Biden challengers. Instead‚ they reported what amounted to a campaign press release. They couldn’t mention Biden was skipping New Hampshire (like Iowa‚ too white)‚ or that Democrat challengers like Congressman Dean Phillips of Minnesota attack Biden as hostile to democracy. Co-host Gayle King touted “On the Democratic side‚ CBS news has exclusive‚ new details about how President Biden plans to galvanize voters by focusing on the issue of abortion rights.” There wasn’t one word about how Biden’s ardent advocacy of abortion badly clashes with Team Biden’s “devout Catholic with a rosary in his pocket” spin. King said to reporter Nancy Cordes: “You know the feelings are intense on both sides of this topic.” Cordes agreed: CORDES: They sure are‚ but they do drive Democrats to the polls. That's why as the Republicans duke it out in New Hampshire‚ the Biden campaign is switching things up. It had been keeping a pretty low profile‚ but that is about to change. CBS News has learned the president is going to hold his first joint campaign rally with the vice president and their spouses since announcing his bid for re-election. It's taking place on Tuesday in northern Virginia‚ and the focus of that rally will be‚ as you mentioned‚ Gayle‚ reproductive rights. The Biden campaign is also going to launch a new ad this weekend in seven battleground states and we're told the ad will focus on the role that the Republican frontrunner‚ Donald Trump‚ played in eliminating the federal right to an abortion. Now‚ the timing of all this is no accident. This coming Monday would have been the 51st anniversary of the Roe v Wade supreme court decision. Since it was struck down in 2022‚ new abortion restrictions have been imposed in 21 states. Cordes also touted the Democrat position as popular‚ according to a CBS poll from October: A recent CBS News poll shows 57% of Americans believe abortion should be legal in all or most cases. That's why Democratic strategists have been banging the drum. They've been urging the Biden campaign to go big on this issue. It is proven to drive Democratic voters to the polls again and again over the last couple of years‚ and that could be crucial as the campaign looks for ways to boost voter enthusiasm in the lead up to November‚ Gayle. All in all‚ it sounds like a rah-rah call to kill more babies.

New England Patriots' new head coach suggests not being racist requires you to 'see color': 'I do see color'

The new head coach of the New England Patriots suggested on Wednesday that not being racist requires someone to "see color."At a press conference officially introducing Jerod Mayo as the new head coach of the Patriots franchise‚ a reporter asked about the significance that Mayo is the first black head coach of the Patriots.Team owner Robert Kraft responded by describing himself as "really colorblind in terms of ... what I feel like on Sunday when we lose" — referring to his goal of hiring the people he believes will best position the Patriots to win NFL championships — but Mayo admitted that he doesn't feel the same way."I do see color because I believe if you don't see color‚ you can't see racism‚" he said. "Whatever happens — black‚ white‚ disabled person ... for the most part people are like‚ when they're young‚ they kind of make the spot hot. Younger people know what that means. But what I would say is‚ no‚ I want you to be able to go up to those people and really understand those people. It goes back to whatever it is: black‚ white‚ yellow‚ it really doesn't matter‚" he continued."But it does matter so we can try to fix the problem that we all know we have‚" Mayo added without clarifying what "problem" he was referring to. — (@) Whether people should "see color" is hotly debated. Advocates of anti-racism‚ for example‚ argue that seeing color is a prerequisite for racial reconciliation. Advocates of color blindness‚ on the other hand‚ say no one should be pigeonholed because of or reduced to their skin color.Still‚ there is a divergence in perspective even in the small fraternity of NFL head coaches.Tampa Bay Buccaneers Coach Todd Bowles‚ who is also black‚ denounced seeing color in October 2022 when asked about Steve Wilks being named‚ at the time‚ interim head coach of the Carolina Panthers."We don't look at what color we are when we coach against each other. We just know each other‚" Bowles said. "I have a lot of very good white friends that coach in this league as well‚ and I don't think it's a big deal as far as us coaching against each other‚ I think it’s normal. Wilks got an opportunity to do a good job‚ hopefully he does it."And we coach ball‚ we don't look at color‚" he declared.Like Blaze News? A grassroots victory against Wall Street and green tyranny

A grassroots victory against Wall Street and green tyranny

When Americans come together‚ we can make a difference. The latest example is the work by many Blaze News subscribers in putting pressure to stop the proposed listing of natural asset companies on the New York Stock Exchange. The NYSE had petitioned the Securities and Exchange Commission to allow for the listing of natural asset companies. NACs are a “new” company type concocted by an environmental group. They focus on raising money to buy the rights to manage natural resources. But instead of making those resources more productive‚ the environmentalists behind the NAC scheme wanted to take them out of productive use to protect‚ conserve‚ restore‚ and preserve these natural “assets” based on whatever their own definitions of those activities happen to be. This is a great reminder that we are not helpless if people are willing to take the time to use their free speech. The NAC boosters sought to use the public markets to raise money for this endeavor through New York Stock Exchange listings. This would mean that any money in the public market‚ whether it came from a pension fund or another government’s sovereign wealth fund‚ could fund and effectively control America’s natural resources. NACs threatened our food and water supplies‚ energy development‚ tourism‚ and way of life. But we fought back. With leadership from Utah state Treasurer Marlo Oaks and Glenn Beck‚ who featured this topic extensively on his programs‚ along with Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes‚ who led a total of 25 states in expressing opposition‚ an effective grassroots backlash ensued. I provided a template based on my own comments to the SEC that hundreds of readers contacted me to obtain and send to the SEC and their state representatives. This backlash was swift‚ large‚ and loud. On Wednesday‚ one day before the SEC’s extended comments period expired‚ the NYSE notified the SEC it would withdraw the proposed rule change. This is critically important. These are big‚ powerful organizations‚ and a coordinated‚ grassroots effort made enough impact to stop something horrible from happening. We so often feel helpless‚ but this is a great reminder that we are not helpless if people are willing to take the time to use their free speech. While we take our victory lap — which we should do! — we should note that more work must be done. The NYSE’s decision not to list natural asset companies is a big step. That does not mean‚ however‚ that these companies can’t raise money elsewhere in the private markets. They could still approach sovereign wealth funds‚ pension funds‚ and others to give them money. So our next battle is to send our comments to members of Congress‚ asking them to make NACs illegal. We need them to protect our land and other natural resources from financialization and consolidation by bad actors. Also‚ we need to keep our eyes open because‚ like so many other power-grabs‚ the NAC will likely return at some point‚ perhaps under different branding. Other critical issues require grassroots resistance. Dealing with the border crisis and the illegal invasion of our country must be a top priority. So is fighting the Corporate Transparency Act’s anti-small business “beneficial ownership information” rule and the Department of Labor’s anti-gig work and anti-independent contractor rule that Glenn Beck and I spoke about recently. If you want to join my newsletter so I can provide you with more updates and templates on these issues as we work together to defeat them‚ please do so at CarolRoth.com/News. Take a moment to appreciate that the grassroots efforts worked and that pressuring and shaming elected officials can be done. Then‚ let’s get back to work.

The tables turn: Judge orders Fulton County DA Fani Willis to respond to misconduct allegations‚ orders court date

A Georgia judge has scheduled a hearing to address the misconduct allegations against Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D).On Thursday‚ Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee scheduled a Feb. 15 hearing to address the serious allegations of misconduct that surfaced against Willis last week. He ordered Willis to respond to the allegations in writing by Feb. 2Last week‚ Michael Roman‚ one of the co-defendants in the election interference case targeting former President Donald Trump‚ filed a motion to disqualify Willis and to dismiss the case. The filing argues that such action is required because Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade "have been engaged in an improper‚ clandestine personal relationship during the pendency of this case‚ which has resulted in the special prosecutor‚ and‚ in turn‚ the district attorney‚ profiting significantly from this prosecution at the expense of the taxpayers." Moreover‚ the filing claims that Willis personally benefited from the "lucrative" contract the DA's office signed with Wade — benefits that include vacations and cruises — and that she was the sole authorizer of that contract.Public records show that Wade has been paid at least $653‚880 to work on the case‚ more than a half-million dollars more than other special prosecutors working the case‚ WXIA-TV reported. While Roman's filing is short on direct evidence‚ it repeatedly cites "sources" close to both Willis and Wade as the basis of the allegations. Roman's attorney‚ Ashleigh Merchant‚ has promised that "concrete evidence" will be presented in court. Some of that evidence‚ she has said‚ is found in Wade's divorce proceedings‚ which were sealed in 2022.Importantly‚ Willis has been subpoenaed to give a pretrial deposition in that divorce case. But she filed a motion on Thursday arguing her testimony is not necessary. In her filing‚ Willis claimed that Joycelyn Wade is "obstructing and interfering with an ongoing criminal prosecution‚" accusing her of having "conspired with interested parties in the criminal election interference case to use the civil discovery process to annoy‚ embarrass and oppress District Attorney Willis." The filing‚ however‚ "did not address the nature of the relationship between Willis and Wade‚" the Atlanta Journal-Constitution observed. For her part‚ Willis attributed the scrutiny of her personal life to racial animus. VIRAL: Watch Javier Milei eviscerate Klaus Schwab and other globalists at WEF annual summit

The World Economic Forum is finishing up its week-long summit in Davos‚ Switzerland. Among the many speakers was Argentina’s newly elected president‚ Javier Milei – a man who’s come to represent the idea of liberty in a day when freedom is on the decline in the Western world. During his speech‚ Milei took the opportunity to tell “Klaus Schwab and the rest of them to their faces ... ’You guys are the problem‚ not the solution‚”’ reports Sara Gonzales before playing a clip of the president’s speech. “Today‚ I'm here to tell you that the Western world is in danger‚” Milei began‚ “and it is endangered because those who are supposed to have to defend the values of the West are co-opted by a vision of the world that inexorably leads to socialism and thereby to poverty.” “The main leaders of the Western world have abandoned the model of freedom — for different versions of what we call collectivism. We're here to tell you that collectivist experiments are never the solution to the problems that afflict the citizens of the world; rather‚ they are the root cause‚” he continued. “Everyone should watch it‚” says Jason Buttrill‚ who calls the speech “a machine gun middle finger." “It is amazing.” “He's a big-time thinker‚” he continues‚ likening Milei to Thomas Sowell and Milton Friedman‚ “and he has the balls to say what needs to be done.” To see Milei eviscerate the global elites of the WEF‚ watch the video below. Ready to ditch dating apps? 4 trusty ways to meet cute IRL

Ladies‚ why do we complain about dating apps? These days‚ finding a guy couldn't be easier! Simply write a few sentences that show how utterly unique you are among the hundreds of thousands of other girls who have also distilled their essence into a few sentences. But be careful: Nobody wants someone who's too unique. Post some pictures to go along with these sentences. Flirty‚ but not too forward. Sexy‚ but not trashy. Calibrate your outfit to land on the exact point of the sundress-to-bikini scale that will maximize matches while minimizing the wrong kinds of matches. Err on the side of more matches. Start matching. Harvest those dopamine spikes. Feel despair when most of the guys liking you aren't in your league. Start to question whether you're in the league you think you're in. Chat. Do you make the first move? Does he? If you do‚ develop crippling self-consciousness by imagining him and his friends mocking your carefully crafted opening (not basic‚ but not trying too hard either) the way you and your friends mock all the cringeworthy openers you get. If he does‚ suspend judgment in the interest of keeping the conversation going. Then: don't do anything that might derail things‚ like responding too quickly or too slowly or being too serious or too jokey. Above all‚ don't overthink it. It will most likely end in ghosting anyway. Get ghosted. Consider recalibrating picture a few degrees closer to "bikini." Meet up. Confirm that he isn't a psychopath catfishing you with a random fitness bro's pics. Register mild attraction. After ten minutes start scrounging for conversation at the bottom of the small-talk barrel; conclude that some light insanity might be acceptable. Rule him out in your head while smiling. Realize what would have taken ten minutes in person has cost you both a month and a half. If all that doesn't fill you with gratitude for being young and single in this era of miraculous mate-finding tech‚ I don't know what to tell you. Other than: "Put down your phone and join us outside the Matrix." Try the following suggestions for successful IRL mingling. Go to church Get prayed up and stay slayed up. Already have a church? Start going every week — "I wanted to sleep in" is going to sound really lame on Judgment Day. If you don't have a church‚ find one and commit. Join a group‚ serve in a ministry‚ sidle up to some eligible pew-mates. What better way to meet someone with the same core values? Get a hobby Master the basics of French cooking. Learn to dance for an upcoming wedding. Join a bocce league. Start taking improv classes — we won't judge. The point is that trying something new puts you in the company of others who are doing the same. And by removing the pressure to try someone new‚ it lets things happen more naturally Help others The secret hack to doing community service? You're allowed to enjoy it. I discovered this in high school as a volunteer at our local beach's sea turtle rescue center. Not only did I learn a lot (turns out TikTok videos about plastic straws are of limited value when it comes to #savingtheturtles)‚ but focusing on those crazy terrapins relieved me from dwelling on my own problems. While cultivating a little selflessness and gratitude is good in itself‚ it can also put you in the relaxed‚ receptive state of mind in which meeting people is easy. Leave it up to chance Previous generations had the courage that comes from scarcity: If a guy doesn't talk to that girl he's vibing with in the coffee shop line‚ who knows the next time he'll encounter a decent prospect? These days the overwhelming multitude of options at our fingertips means less incentive to risk in-person rejection. So let's do our part to encourage more daring romantic gestures. If a non-creepy guy at the grocery store or the gym walks up to you and says‚ “You are just so beautiful and I’d like to take you to coffee sometime” without triggering your fight-or-flight instinct‚ why not consider it? In short‚ ditching the swipe life can leave you with a much more manageable to-do list than the one that starts this article. It goes something like: Find something you love to do. Talk to people. Make friends. Learn to enjoy your own company. The more time you invest in this‚ the better your chances. There's not an app in the world that can promise the same.

Before you go see the new ‘Mean Girls’ movie‚ WATCH THIS

Twenty years ago‚ the world first met Cady Heron‚ Regina George‚ and the Plastics in "Mean Girls." Since then‚ the film has become a cult classic. However‚ the new "Mean Girls" adaptation‚ which was just released last Friday‚ has already left many disappointed‚ including Lauren Chen‚ who’s “a fan of the original.” “Guys‚ this is a bad movie‚” she sighs‚ noting that “someone beside [her] left the theater halfway through.” Unlike the original‚ which is chock full of hilarious‚ iconic moments‚ this new film “failed to make [Lauren] laugh out loud‚” despite the fact that “they kept a lot of the original jokes.” “It's hard to have a comedic performance that actually makes people laugh‚ and unfortunately‚ I feel like a lot of the actors in this film were chosen maybe because of their singing abilities‚ but the comedic performances just were not there‚” Lauren explains. For those who don’t know‚ the film‚ which features essentially the same plotline as the original – ”cliques‚ toxic mean girl situations‚ dating‚ [and] crushes” – is both a remake as well as a musical. Lauren admits that while “musical taste is subjective” and that “musical numbers can actually elevate a story or enhance a plotline‚” the music in the new "Mean Girls" adaptation is “extremely forgettable” and does “absolutely nothing” for the film. “In terms of how the actual songs sound‚ to be honest with you‚ I immediately forgot each and every one of them as soon as the song itself ended‚” she laments. Further‚ “there is no character or situation or scene that is enhanced by a musical number‚” and some of the songs even “undercut the best parts of the original movie.” For example‚ in the original film‚ one of the most climactic scenes occurs after the entire female population of the school is forced to attend a workshop due to the Plastics’ “Burn Book” being exposed. Regina runs out of the meeting after finding out that Cady was a double agent and that basically the entire school hates her. It’s a scene any person who’s seen the original will remember. However‚ the creators behind the new film decided to “cut that scene almost entirely and replace it with a song sung by Janice about female empowerment.” “In this song‚ which again replaces one of the most important interactions of the film ... Janice instead is singing about how basically gender roles are to blame for everything‚” says Lauren‚ pointing out the obvious virtue-signaling in the movie. On that same note‚ “it's been 20 years since the original ‘Mean Girls’ film‚ which of course means that everybody is browner and gayer in the remake‚” she adds. In addition to Damien being played by a black actor and Janice being a lesbian‚ “there were a lot of jokes about being gay that were also removed.” “In the original film‚ the message is not that it's okay to bully people for being gay‚” says Lauren. Rather‚ “the message is that it's not okay to be bullied for any reason‚ but I feel like in 2024‚ because we're so [politically correct]‚ we don't even want to have scenes where people are being bullied for being gay‚ even if it's to show that it's wrong just because you would have to bully a gay person to do that.” But that’s not the last of Lauren’s complaints. To see her full review‚ watch the video below.
