Another Democratic transvestite faces possible disqualification from Ohio race for hiding his 'deadname' from voters

Another Democratic transvestite pursuing political office has been caught flouting Ohio law. He has‚ however‚ found a champion in the state's nominally Republican governor‚ Mike Dewine. The Democrat in question‚ a man originally from from Virginia who changed his name to Arienne Christina Childrey in 2020‚ seeks to unseat state Rep. Angela King (R) in Ohio District 84. Childrey‚ an Auglaize County resident‚ has largely campaigned on his antipathy for King over her House Bill 245‚ which would ban sexual and obscene cabaret performances such as drag shows in front of children and in locations other than adult cabarets. Childrey is the founder of a radical transvestite activist group called Northwest Ohio Trans Advocacy. He was previously an assistant manager at Kohl's and a manager at Big Lots. Much like Jeremy Michael Adams — now Vanessa Joy — in Stark County‚ Childrey's campaign might be dead in the water‚ for he too failed to disclose his previous name on his petition paperwork‚ reported the Associated Press. Ohio law states that "if any person desiring to become a candidate for public office has had a change of name within five years immediately preceding the filing of his statement of candidacy‚ both his statement of candidacy and nominating petition must contain‚ immediately following the person's present name‚ the person's former names." While Childrey was initially certified on Dec. 21‚ Mercer County GOP Chairman Robert Hibner wrote to the local election board‚ asking the board to reject Childrey's campaign petition on account of its apparent illegitimacy‚ according to the Mercer County Outlook. The Mercer County Board of Elections is set to vote Thursday on whether the Democrat's contravention of the law is disqualifying. The Mercer County Democratic Party passed a resolution objecting "to Republican Chair Bob Hibner's protest of our Democratic Candidate's right to run for office." The county's Democratic Vice-Chair Don Holtvoigt stated‚ "Mr. Hibner's protest is nothing but a hateful attempt to further discriminate against a community not meeting the GOP definition of 'normal.' A radical approach to alienate qualified candidates and stifle the will of the voters. There is no acceptable explanation to pursue this challenge when no guidance to candidates has been provided." Gov. DeWine swooped in to defend the transvestites contravening state law on Tuesday‚ suggesting the Democrats should not be disqualified on account of their ignorance‚ reported Cleveland.com. "We shouldn't be denying ballot access for that reason‚" said DeWine. "It certainly should be fixed." Childrey has parroted Joy's ignorance defense‚ claiming the candidacy guide provided to prospective candidates does not provide explicit instructions concerning the provision of past legal names. "I would note that the name change provision is not included in the Candidate Guide issued by Secretary of State Frank LaRose's office‚ nor any of the other paperwork or forms‚" Childrey noted on his campaign site. "In fact‚ had I known of this provision and tried to comply - which I certainly would've‚ my legal name and deadname simply could not have fit in the space provided on the candidacy documents." Melanie Amato‚ a spokeswoman for the Ohio secretary of state‚ stressed the guide "does not include every statute pertaining to candidates — in fact the first paragraph offers that disclaimer and urges candidates to consult with their legal counsel." Amato added‚ "The law applies to everyone." State Rep. Brian Stewart (R) underscored on X‚ "There's nothing uneven about the application of the law. There's no evidence in these stories that the law has been disregarded for other candidates. If you change your name you have to disclose it. It's been that way for decades." Past names may be of great interest to potential voters‚ as they correspond with histories candidates might otherwise want to preclude the public from looking into. For instance‚ under his previous name‚ Joy recently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy. Investigative journalist Andy Ngô highlighted that Joy also failed to mention his side hustle as a pornographer. As recently as November 2023‚ he was sharing images of himself masturbating to photographs of women to his OnlyFans page under the handle "Vanesstradiol." Joy reportedly also fathered a child who he indicated in an Oct. 25 social media post had — at on at least one occasion — sat with him while he kept his post-op pelvic wound open with a dilator. Joy's effort to appeal his disqualification proved unsuccessful last week. He has since threatened to sue Stark County for discrimination. Senate President Matt Huffman and Ohio Senate GOP spokesman John Fortney indicated that if people are looking for someone to blame‚ they could start with the Ohio House Democrats' campaign staff‚" reported the Plain Dealer Cleveland. "There should be a Democratic House organization that ... [will] say 'Hey‚ we're going to make sure‚ we're going to have somebody review your petitions [and] make sure this is all right‚ and do whatever special things have to be done on any particular day‚" said Huffman. State Sen. Kristina Roegner (R) similarly suggested‚ "It would seem to me that‚ in these cases‚ that the Democratic Party failed these candidates." "You could always have someone else check your work. You can go down to the local board of elections‚" added Roegner. Childrey‚ who may yet remain certified‚ told the Guardian that "regardless of what happens in this hearing‚ if they boot me off the ballot‚ I have every intention to refile." "And in that next election‚ on that form‚ I'll put my current name‚ I'll put my deadname‚ I'll put the age I was potty-trained‚ whatever details they need." Like Blaze News? He was only 46 years old.Milojević was rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after suffering a heart attack during the team's private dinner in Salt Lake City ahead of a matchup with the Utah Jazz. "Despite lifesaving efforts‚" the team said in a statement‚ Milojević passed away Wednesday morning. The Warriors did not release any other details about the incident. "We are absolutely devastated by Dejan's sudden passing‚" said Warriors head coach Steve Kerr."This is a shocking and tragic blow for everyone associated with the Warriors and an incredibly difficult time for his family‚ friends‚ and all of us who had the incredible pleasure to work with him‚" he added. "In addition to being a terrific basketball coach‚ Dejan was one of the most positive and beautiful human beings I have ever known‚ someone who brought joy and light to every single day with his passion and energy."Milojević was in the midst of his third season coaching for the Warriors. Milojević is remembered not only as a basketball great but as an even better man."He was a role model as a player‚ as a man‚ as a husband‚ as a coach — somebody that I really admired and have a lot of respect for‚" said Toronto Raptors head coach Darko Rajaković. "Unfortunately‚ last night‚ his heart stopped working and he left his wife and two kids behind and a big‚ big legacy."Sacramento Kings head coach Mike Brown explained‚ "Not only was he an extremely talented coach‚ he was an even better person."Milojević leaves behind his wife‚ Natasa‚ and two children‚ Nikola and Masa. Florida public colleges 'permanently' banned from using taxpayer funds for DEI initiatives

On Wednesday‚ Florida's State Board of Education "permanently" banned public colleges from using taxpayer funds for diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion initiatives. The board's new rule prohibits state and federal funding from being used to support DEI "programs‚ activities‚ and policies in the Florida College System.""The Board's decision will ensure that taxpayer funds can no longer be used to promote DEI on Florida's 28 state college campuses‚" the State Board of Education's Wednesday press release stated. The rule defined DEI initiatives as "programs that categorize individuals based on race or sex for the purpose of differential or preferential treatment."In addition to implementing the new measure‚ the board also eliminated the "Principles of Sociology" course‚ replacing it with a "comprehensive general education core course in American History." The course aims to teach "an accurate and factual account of the nation's past‚ rather than exposing them to radical woke ideologies‚ which had become commonplace in the now replaced course."Florida Commissioner of Education Manny Diaz Jr. called for higher education to "return to its essential foundations of academic integrity and the pursuit of knowledge instead of being corrupted by destructive ideologies.""These actions today ensure that we will not spend taxpayers' money supporting DEI and radical indoctrination that promotes division in our society‚" Diaz stated.During the Tuesday CNN town hall‚ GOP presidential candidate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis argued that with the way DEI is "actually practiced‚" it more accurately stands for "discrimination‚ exclusion and indoctrination.""They say it's diversity‚ equity and inclusion‚ but it's really very ideological‚ and they're trying to impose an agenda‚" DeSantis said.Last summer‚ DeSantis declared‚ "As of July 1‚ DEI is over in the state of Florida." The governor signed a law in May banning state and federal funding for DEI initiatives in public education."We are eliminating the DEI programs‚" he stated. "We are going to treat people as individuals."Last year‚ the state's colleges and universities were mandated by the DeSantis administration to submit reports detailing all DEI and critical race theory spending. The University of Florida was accused of lying to the governor by drastically underreporting its initiatives to "conceal the radicalism inside the campus‚" Blaze News previously reported.Civil rights advocate and attorney Ben Crump‚ a critic of the board's decision‚ wrote on X Wednesday‚ "We continue to go down a misguided path of censorship in Florida!"Like Blaze News? Does the left have a license to kill James Bond?

Does the left have a license to kill James Bond?

Movie franchises come and go‚ but there’s only one 007. Sure‚ several actors have played James Bond through the years‚ but Hollywood’s oldest franchise still holds sway over the culture. But not if today’s progressives have anything to say about it. The left has had the Bond saga in its sights for years. The attacks come from different directions‚ but they all have something in common. Bond must change to meet modern times ... on our terms. There’s a kernel of truth here. Sean Connery’s 007‚ the standard to which all Bond actors must be compared‚ occasionally treated women in ways we wouldn’t applaud today. An infamous smack on a female co-star’s rump during “Goldfinger” comes to mind. The character’s classic battles against the Soviet Union also don’t mesh with today’s reality. Thank you‚ President Ronald Reagan. Otherwise‚ there’s nothing wrong with Bond being Bond: Seducing women. Killing without mercy. Embracing his masculinity. He’s a super spy‚ not a role model. We don’t ask Dom Toretto from the “Fast and Furious” films to use his directionals more often. Why must Bond consider the systemic racism that led to a supervillain’s master plan? The woke left revels in destroying the past‚ from tearing down statues to shaming audiences for liking “problematic” films of yore like “Gone with the Wind.” That 1939 epic briefly got yanked from the HBO Max platform while the streaming giant mulled ways to reintroduce it to an “evolved” audience. Bond’s skin color alone is a cause for concern. Progressives demand that Bond be played by a person of color or even a woman to show how much culture has evolved since “Dr. No” hit theaters in 1962. And to tsk-tsk anyone who gets a thrill from Bond’s adventurous id. It’s called escapism‚ and it’s still legal in all 50 states. Whenever it’s time for a changing of the Bond‚ we get articles suggesting the character flee his biographical origins for something new‚ fresh‚ and‚ dare we say‚ woke. The most recent Bond‚ Daniel Craig‚ gently dodged the character’s need to remain male by suggesting Hollywood write better parts for women and minorities. Ex-Bond actor Pierce Brosnan‚ by comparison‚ went full woke by endorsing a female 007. “I think we’ve watched the guys do it for the last 40 years. Get out of the way‚ guys‚ and put a woman up there. I think it would be exhilarating‚ it would be exciting‚” The attacks on all things Bond don’t stop there. Last year‚ we learned “sensitivity readers” censored Ian Fleming’s 007 novels to make them less problematic to modern readers. That wasn’t enough. The classic tomes also featured trigger warnings attached to new editions. The latest Bond novel reads like a woke satire. “On His Majesty’s Secret Service” finds our hero battling a Brexiteer‚ dating an immigration lawyer‚ and attacking the rise of populism. All that’s missing is the pronouns. More recently‚ the British Film Institute added “trigger warnings” to two Bond classics screened to honor composer John Barry. “[The films] contain language‚ images or other content that reflect views prevalent in its time‚ but will cause offence today (as they did then). “The titles are included here for historical‚ cultural or aesthetic reasons and these views are in no way endorsed by the BFI or its partners.” The Bond classic “You Only Live Twice” earned a separate warning‚ stating the film “contains outdated racial stereotypes.” Even the term “Bond girls” is now verboten. It’s the “male gaze” on steroids‚ a throwback to our caveman-like past. The modern left has wrested control over much of modern culture. Comedians watch what they say‚ or else. Public schools push porn on young students only to cry‚ “Book banners!” should parents notice. Don’t even start on what’s happening across academia or Tinseltown. Yet the Broccoli family‚ which controls the 007 film series with a tight grip‚ has mostly ignored the pleas for change. Yes‚ Craig’s Bond went the monogamy route in the most recent films‚ but he still flexed his license to kill without so much as a shrug. Craig’s physicality‚ that bruised but handsome face‚ and uncompromising devotion to duty‚ honored the Connery template. The marketing push for the last Bond outing‚ “No Time to Die‚” proved more woke than the film itself. The Bond saga remains a crucial tie to both on-screen masculinity and our shared past. Both pose a threat to the left‚ which explains the relentless assaults on the super spy. Bond endures‚ but for how long? Barbara Broccoli weighed in on Bond’s immediate future in a troubling chat with the Guardian. “I think these movies reflect the time they are in‚ and there’s a big‚ big road ahead reinventing it for the next chapter‚ and we haven’t even begun with that.” Reinventing? Sure. Just like Auric Goldfinger wanted to “reinvent” our hero with that laser beam headed straight for his “toxic masculinity.” “Do you expect me to change?” “No‚ Mr. Bond‚ I expect you to die!”

Palworld isn’t the next The Day Before‚ devs promise

Palworld is Pocketpair's upcoming Pokemon-style crafting game that feels a little too good to be true. With myriad Pals - or Pokemon - mirroring Nintendo's pocket monsters (with a few tweaks here and there)‚ you'd be forgiven for asking if there's something sinister going on with Palworld - especially after all of the chaos with The Day Before. The devs‚ however‚ have insisted that their new adventure is completely legitimate. Smite is the colorful‚ third-person MOBA in which you wield the powers of any one of over 100 mythological Gods. I was lucky enough to be among the first to play a pre-alpha build of its sequel‚ Smite 2‚ announced during the tenth Smite World Championships.
