Kamala’s Campaign Paid Oprah $1M During Her Failed White House Quest: Report

Kamala Harris’ failed bid for the presidency had an estimated cost of more than $1 billion. According to one report, a portion of that money went to celebrities and social media influencers who touted the Democratic candidate on their sizable platforms. For example, Oprah Winfrey‘s company, Harpo Productions, received $1 million from the Harris campaign on October 15 after Winfrey hosted a town hall event for the campaign in September, per The Washington Examiner. Oprah was also featured at Harris’ final campaign rally in Philadelphia just days before the election, where she warned voters to get to the polls instead of being tempted to “sit this one out.” “If we don’t show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast a ballot again,” Oprah warned at the time. “And let me be very clear, if you do not make sure that the people in your life can get to the polls, that is a mistake.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ It has also been reported that Harris spent six figures building a set for the interview she did on Alex Cooper’s “Call Her Daddy” podcast. The set was built in a hotel room in Washington, D.C., and made to look like Cooper’s actual set in Los Angeles, the Washington Examiner reported. The Harris campaign declined to comment on finances for the Examiner report, but a post-election report will be available within 30 days, as mandated by the Federal Election Commission. While they’re not revealing specifics now, the campaign already disclosed in October that it had spent more than $880 million. This number was much greater than what the Trump campaign spent, which was an estimated $354 million. Celebrity endorsements and appearances seemed to be a key focus of Harris’ campaign strategy. Beyoncé spoke at a rally in late October but left many fans disappointed that she did not perform. Musical artists from Ricky Martin to Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, and Megan Thee Stallion also took the stage at various rallies. Harris scored endorsements from dozens of other celebrities, including the pop star Taylor Swift, who wrote a lengthy plea on her Instagram urging voters to support Harris for president. But despite outspending Trump and earning endorsements from the massive majority of the Hollywood vote, Harris lost every swing state and the popular vote.

Mesmerizing Footage Shows Impressively Colorful Eel Flowing Just Like A Ribbon

Ribbon eels are in the family of moray eels. The beautifully colored blue and yellow eel gets its name from its ribbon-like body style and motion. Their swimming is mesmerizing, and the vivid coloration adds fluidity to the movement. @freshfinsdiving Ribbon Eel We love to find ribbon eels amongst the sandy patches in the reefs here in Amed/Tulamben. Seeing them swim is always something extraordinary ︎
Did you know⟿⟿ ✦ All ribbon eels begin their life as male, with a yellow dorsal fin against a black body. As they grow into maturity they will change to blue and yellow, like this one we found swimming freely at Coral Gardens! ✦ It doesn’t stop there- once the ribbon eels reach a certain length, they will change to a solid yellow color, and develop female parts until they can lay eggs! ✦ In the wild, these beautiful eels can live up to 20 years old and reach a length of 1 meter. Join us underwater, let’s dive⟿

They begin life as a black male with a yellow dorsal fin. They keep the yellow dorsal fin as they mature, but the black changes to vibrant blue. Once they reach maturity, the male eel will develop female reproductive organs. Another color change to solid yellow takes place as the female develops. They will mate once, lay eggs, and perish within a month. During adulthood, two males often reside together in holes near the ocean floor. They are opportunistic hunters, waiting for prey to swim by the opening to catch their food. They travel by undulating their body. Coupled with the bright colors, watching them swim can be hypnotic. Image from TikTok. These eels can grow to around one meter in length. Once they complete the sex change to female, eels may grow slightly larger. They reside predominantly in sandy areas in the Indo-Pacific Ocean and typically stay in shallow waters less than 200 feet (60 meters) deep. Female ribbon eels are very rare. This is due mainly to their short lifespan. They are also the only color-changing moray eel. The major threat to the ribbon eel is the aquarium trade. However, they are not suitable for home aquariums. They are difficult to maintain and often die shortly after capture. While they are beautiful and would make a breathtaking addition to any aquarium, it is best to leave them in the wild. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. The Thunderbolts* Are Not So Sure About That Team Name

News Thunderbolts The Thunderbolts* Are Not So Sure About That Team Name “Do we all just punch and shoot?” Yes, Yelena, it looks that way. By Molly Templeton | Published on November 11, 2024 Screenshot: Marvel Studios Comment 0 Share New Share Screenshot: Marvel Studios If the whole scrappy-bad-kids-team-up dynamic of Thunderbolts* seems a little overly familiar these days, well, at least they’re really going for it. The latest preview of the upcoming film—billed as a “special look” from D23 rather than just a plain old trailer—is one part clip and one part reintroduction of the major players. First we get an extended version of the “Bucky breaks up the slow-motion chase scene” that appeared briefly in the previous teaser, and then a little rundown of reluctant teammates Yelena (Florence Pugh), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen), Taskmaster (Olga Kurylenko), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), and John Walker (Wyatt Russell). Oh, and Bob (Lewis Pullman). And then there’s Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who seems to have purchased the Avengers tower. This has, sort of, maybe, been a thing fans have been wondering about since Tony Stark sold the building in Spider-Man: Homecoming. Frankly I find that less intriguing than the scene in which Yelena walks away from a job with a cute little guinea pig in her sweatshirt (which was also in the previous teaser). Why? How? Where? These are the mysteries I personally look forward to understanding. (I would also like to give a cookie to whoever picked the Toadies’ “Possum Kingdom” for this not-a-trailer.) There is also the mystery of the asterisk in that title, which here seems to be a product of dissent in the ranks about the team name. Red Guardian likes it. Ghost and Bucky are not having it. Jake Schreier (Paper Towns) directs Thunderbolts* from a screenply by Eric Pearson (Black Widow), Lee Sung Jin (Beef), and Joanna Calo (The Bear). It’s in theaters May 2, 2025.[end-mark] The post The Thunderbolts* Are Not So Sure About That Team Name appeared first on Reactor.
