The pilot begins this month and will be limited to an unspecified number of Pennsylvania’s Office of Administration employees‚ but it could be expanded to other state workers in the future‚ a press release from Governor Josh Shapiro said. The retailer says its drone deliveries now cover 75 percent of the population in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area‚ all thanks to partnerships with drone startups Wing and Zipline. Walmart launched its drone delivery program with Zipline and DroneUp in Arkansas in 2021 before expanding it to more states in 2022.
