Female math teacher arrested after allegedly having sex with 16-year-old student‚ father knew about relationship

A female math teacher in Missouri has reportedly been taken into custody in Texas for having an inappropriate relationship with a 16-year-old high school student‚ according to the Daily Mail. The twist in the case is that the boy's father has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child after it was claimed he knew his son to be involved in the relationship.Hailey Nichelle Clifton-Carmack‚ 26‚ was arrested by the Garden Ridge Police Department on Friday. It is believed the sexual assaults took place in Pulaski County — around 800 miles away from where she was eventually found and arrested by the authorities.KRCG reported that court documents indicated Clifton-Carmack had sex with the student in her classroom while other students stood watch. It is uncertain whether the other students will be disciplined in the case. The situation was reported to the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department by the Laquey school resource officer. A student ultimately came forward and revealed photographs of his classmate‚ who had scratches all over his back. The student said the scratches were from Clifton-Carmack after they had sex in the classmate's driveway‚ according to the report. Clifton-Carmack apparently has two young daughters of her own‚ and she was recently divorced from Chance Carmack. Chance was a mixed martial arts fighter and had recently completed basic training in the U.S. Army.Detectives involved in the case visited the school district on December 8 to take up the teacher's phone‚ but they were unable to see any messages until they got a warrant to unlock it. During this time‚ Clifton-Carmack denied that she had any kind of relationship with a student outside school. After obtaining a warrant‚ the authorities discovered text messages swapped between the teacher and the 16-year-old student. The student who initially came forward in the case said Clifton-Carmack often dressed inappropriately and that she was too friendly with some of the students at the school. According to court documents‚ Clifton-Carmack would often show up at school wearing "tight or low-cut shirts" and showed off her "headlights."The teacher was also known to wear leggings that would "show off her body‚" and she had apparently been reprimanded by the school for being "too close with students."Clifton-Carmack had traveled to Texas for the holidays‚ which explained why she was not in Missouri when the authorities attempted to arrest her.She was arrested "without incident" and booked into the Comal County Jail. Reports stated that she was charged with statutory rape in the second degree; sexual contact with a student; endangering the welfare of a child; and child molestation.Like Blaze News? OpenAI claims it cannot advance if not allowed to use copyrighted material amid NYT lawsuit

The creator of ChatGPT recently said that the inability to use copyrighted material such as news and books to train chatbots will ultimately fizzle the development of artificial intelligence‚ according to the Telegraph. The statements come after the New York Times has sued the company for violation of copyright law.OpenAI has lamented the potential progress of artificial intelligence by saying it is "impossible" to create advanced technological services like ChatGPT if it is prevented from using copyrighted work to train the bots. The latest development could ignite a debate over the legalities of using material that is protected by law.The company — which could be valued as high as $100 billion — is prepared to push back against lawsuits filed by book publishers and the New York Times for using its copyrighted material without consent to "train" ChatGPT‚ according to Futurism. The Post Millennial published a piece in early 2023 that suggested OpenAI could eat up as much as 80% of the U.S. job market in the future. And many have expressed reluctance about the latest developments in artificial intelligence‚ which some believe could risk the future of humanity."Because copyright today covers virtually every sort of human expression – including blog posts‚ photographs‚ forum posts‚ scraps of software code‚ and government documents – it would be impossible to train today’s leading AI models without using copyrighted materials‚" OpenAI told the House of Lords Communications and Digital Committee."Limiting training data to public domain books and drawings created more than a century ago might yield an interesting experiment‚ but would not provide AI systems that meet the needs of today’s citizens.”Despite OpenAI's claim that it has complied with copyright laws‚ book publishers and authors maintain that tech companies have been using their material without getting permission first. In December‚ the New York Times sued OpenAI and Microsoft‚ claiming that they are "profit[ing] from the massive copyright infringement‚ commercial exploitation and misappropriation of The Times’s intellectual property."The Times is the first major American media organization to sue the companies on these grounds. The lawsuit‚ which was filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York‚ contends that "millions of articles published by The Times were used to train automated chatbots that now compete with the news outlet as a source of reliable information."Additionally‚ authors George R.R. Martin and John Grisham have sued the company for using their books to train ChatGPT without obtaining the necessary permission to do so. Like Blaze News? 'The Boys in the Boat': A must-watch if you love America

Remember when the movies offered an escape from trivial day-to-day concerns? Nowadays a filmmaker’s first job is to rub your face in them. “We’re in 2024 now‚” bragged Pakistani-Canadian journalist Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy about being tapped to direct the next “Star Wars” film‚ “and it’s about time that we had a woman come forward to shape a story in a galaxy far‚ far away‚” she said. It seems unlikely that Obaid-Chinoy’s vision for the iconic franchise will transcend her narrow ideological concerns. “I like to make men uncomfortable‚” she has said. This is the latest reminder that Hollywood’s priority in producing such woke remakes is not to dazzle fans or even to make a profit. Politics is the product. Shared cultural symbols must be corrupted and shaped by a left-wing narrative so that everything we once held dear becomes a gross mockery. George Clooney’s new movie “The Boys in the Boat” presents a rare exception. The true-life tale of the University of Washington’s ragtag rowing team and their unlikely quest for gold at the 1936 Olympics in Berlin seeks first to entertain and inspire. As appropriate for a film about the Olympics – in which determined amateur athletes compete for national glory – “The Boys in the Boat” is unapologetically pro-America. It is also pro-masculinity. Early in the movie‚ we see nearly forty guys showing up to the dockyard for the school’s crew tryouts. The coach informs them that only the best will make it past the rigorous training process and even fewer will be selected to join the team. This picture of straightforward “may the best man win” meritocracy might seem unfamiliar to the 2024 viewer. Where are the obligatory humiliation rituals for white men? Who is making sure this team complies with DEI standards? In a rebuke of participation trophy culture‚ these boys test the limits of their athletic abilities and exemplify the healthy competitiveness necessary for any successful society. Theirs is a brotherhood earned by shared struggle and a common goal‚ not one imposed by busybody bureaucrats. Likewise‚ their victory is a victory of the human spirit‚ not of petty political infighting. Which means it’s a victory that can inspire everyone‚ not just certain grievance based in-groups. Like all meaningful victories‚ it is motivated by healthy love of family‚ nation‚ and tradition‚ rather than by rage and resentment. Clooney’s direction ably brings Daniel James Brown’s best-selling book of the same name to life. Joel Edgerton is excellent as no-nonsense coach Al Ulbrickson‚ as is Callum Turner as team leader Joe Rantz. A tale of patriotism and perseverance‚ “The Boys in the Boat” is highly recommended viewing for anyone who still loves America.

Ron DeSantis shows how to bring the teachers’ unions to heel

Ron DeSantis shows how to bring the teachers’ unions to heel

Leftists want schools to replace parents and provide children with everything — except for a decent education. That is why schools are increasingly funded to provide children with every meal — even during the summer — while they are teaching children about gay porn and made-up pronouns. Believe it or not‚ this cancer is spreading to varying degrees in almost every red state — except for the one state where the governor is denying the left money and power to indoctrinate and transform our kids. DeSantis is trying to make freedom‚ not dependency‚ permanent in Florida. It’s something every Republican has promised for years but has never delivered. While most red states struggle to eradicate union influence even from rural education districts‚ Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is on the cusp of decertifying United Teachers of Dade‚ the largest teachers’ union in Florida and one of the largest in the country. In May‚ DeSantis signed SB 256‚ which required that all public employee unions receive 60% support from membership or face a decertification vote. The law also allowed members to reject automatic deduction of membership dues from their paychecks. As a result‚ enough members decided to keep their own money‚ which resulted in UTD’s membership dues dropping to 58.4% of members. After repeatedly failing in court to get the law blocked‚ UTD leadership worked arduously through the fall to regain a 60% threshold. They offered $100 gift cards to members who signed up additional dues-paying teachers and flew in staffers to bolster their sign-up campaign. They also eliminated the substitute teachers from the bargaining unit in order to lower the number of teachers needed to meet the standard. In the end‚ enough teachers voted with their brains and pocketbooks‚ decided to keep their money out of the hands of the greedy union grift‚ and even formed a new local association to ensure their pooled resources didn’t leave Dade County. By the way‚ those paychecks have grown larger‚ as DeSantis raised teachers’ salaries while cutting taxes and reducing the union’s control over their destinies. Thanks to a provision of SB 256 lowering the threshold for new ballot certification of startup alternative teacher’s associations‚ the Miami-Dade Education Coalition was born. This alternative will permanently imperil United Teachers of Dade’s ability to remain viable in the long term. Under the new law‚ existing unions must show a 30% interest threshold in unionizing to vote for certification. They can still gather signatures from 30%‚ present the results to the state’s Public Employees Relations Commission‚ and then reconstitute the union with a 51% vote for affirmation. However‚ the union would still face that 60% threshold to maintain its certification yearly. The law artfully allows new competitors to get on the ballot with signatures from just 10% of the population (instead of 30% for existing unions)‚ increasing their viability. Eventually‚ the upstart organization could siphon off some of the remaining support for the status quo union‚ leading to a decline below the 50% threshold to exist at all. While some will complain the law is unfair‚ SB 256 is a superb example of how to break the incumbent power. When the government empowers private grifters to create a stronghold over entire professions and the education of our children‚ the only way to reconstitute choice and competition is to balance out generations of tendentious pro-union treatment with provisions such as the 10% threshold for new associations. It once again demonstrates the cunning of the DeSantis administration in using power to achieve conservative ends the same way the left has acted in blue states — and even red states — for decades. Florida is also rejecting $248 million in eligible funding from the Department of Agriculture for the Summer EBT Program‚ which provides food to children enrolled in the school lunch program. This is how the government owns us: by making as many people as dependent as possible for every need under the sun. The federal government owns red states by making their governments dependent on its funding streams and then attaching so many strings that the state can’t help but morph into California lite. DeSantis is having none of it. The Florida Department of Children and Family Services declined to opt in to the new funding for school meals. The state had until January 1 to sign up for the additional funding‚ which our useless Republican Congress authorized in December’s budget bill. “We anticipate that our state’s full approach to serving children will continue to be successful this year without any additional federal programs that inherently always come with some federal strings attached‚” Florida Department of Children and Families spokeswoman Mallory McManus told the Orlando Sentinel. DeSantis clearly understands that dependency on federal funding is what makes red states act like blue states. Most Republican governors are addicted to federal funding and then wonder why they have blue-state problems. The Summer EBT Program started as an “emergency” program during COVID. But like all such “temporary” spending‚ it’s become permanent. DeSantis is trying to make freedom‚ not dependency‚ permanent in Florida. Regardless of who wins the nomination for president‚ we should all strive to turn the red states into sanctuaries for our values. Nobody has offered a better blueprint than DeSantis when it comes to freeing red states from the officious tentacles of both federal funding and union bosses.

'Will cause offence': Classic James Bond films slapped with trigger warnings for 'outdated' stereotypes

Classic James Bond movies from the 1960s received trigger warnings from the British Film Institute ahead of upcoming screenings. The warnings told audiences to expect outdated themes and racist stereotypes. The two films in question were 1967's "You Only Live Twice" and "Goldfinger" from 1964. Both films star iconic Scottish actor Sean Connery. The organization has featured the two films as part of a celebration of soundtrack writer John Barry‚ showcasing Barry's musical scores in the motion pictures. However‚ the website warned that the "films contain language‚ images or other content that reflect views prevalent in its time‚ but will cause offence today (as they did then)." "The titles are included here for historical‚ cultural or aesthetic reasons and these views are in no way endorsed by the BFI or its partners‚" the institute added. The newer film‚ "You Only Live Twice‚" also received its own specific warning of "outdated racial stereotypes‚" the Independent reported. "As a cultural charity with responsibility for the preservation of film and moving image work and presenting it to audiences‚ we continuously face and deal with challenges presented by the history of film and television programmes and how they reflect views prevalent to their time‚" the BFI told the Guardian."Whilst we have a responsibility to preserve films as close to their contemporaneous accuracy as possible‚ even where they contain language or depiction which we categorically reject‚ we also have a responsibility in how we present them to our audiences‚" the film institute insisted."Goldfinger" has been criticized for sexist dialogue on the part of James Bond‚ who at one point tells a woman to "say goodbye" so he can conduct "man talk‚" before slapping her on the buttocks. At the same time‚ in "You Only Live Twice‚" the Bond character is disguised to look like a Japanese man for one of his spy missions. In 2023‚ original work from James Bond author Ian Fleming were revised due to worries of offence as well. The N-word was edited out of books from the 1950s and 1960s‚ with some depictions of black people also removed. An example of a revised line was from "Live and Let Die‚" where James Bond described some possible African criminals as "pretty law-abiding chaps I should have thought‚ except when they’ve drunk too much."The line was changed to "pretty law-abiding chaps I should have thought."Like Blaze News? Listen to the Globes audience SQUIRM as Jim Gaffigan brilliantly humiliates elites

As the Epstein files trickle out to the public‚ some celebrities are making light of not being involved. One of those celebrities is Jim Gaffigan‚ who used his time on stage at the Golden Globes to drive that home. “This is so exciting for me‚” Gaffigan told the audience as he introduced the award for best performance in a stand-up comedy on television. “The Golden Globes‚ I mean‚ I can’t even believe I’m in the entertainment industry.” “I can’t‚ you know‚ it’s so unlikely. I’m from a small town in Indiana. I’m not a pedophile‚” he added‚ joking. Dave Rubin is impressed‚ noting that the audience actually laughed. “The thing about comedy is comedy is usually done best when you’re saying something true‚ making people laugh about it‚ and then they have to start thinking‚” Rubin says. “Obviously there’s a lot of problems in Hollywood‚ in‚ let's say‚ our political institutions‚ this Epstein list‚ a whole bunch more‚” he adds.
