How to get Clean Kills in Modern Warfare 3

Modern Warfare 3 is now mostly about camo you can get for your weapons. Since each camo requires you to play the game in a certain or complete a set amount of challenges‚ some camos will take time to earn. Some challenges need an enemy to be downed with a clean kill. Sounds easy right? Well‚ Clean Kills aren’t what you expect‚ but don’t worry‚ read on to learn how to get them in Modern Warfare 3. Modern Warfare 3: How to get Clean Kills Clean Kills are one of the types of kills you can get. They’re different than Fully-Loaded Kills which require you to down enemies with a gun with all five slots of attachments filled. Clean Kills are when you take out an enemy without taking damage. This on paper sounds easy‚ but I found out‚ that you can’t get hit at all by another enemy shooting at you while you’re attacking your target‚ it doesn’t count. Stealth is the best way to deal with these kills. I recommend having things like Covert Sneakers that make...

Should you let Lae’zel enter the Zaith’isk in Baldur’s Gate 3?

After reaching the Githyanki Creche in Baldur’s Gate 3‚ it seems like your parasite problem is about to be solved. The Githyanki have a healing device called a Zaith’isk that Lae’zel is eager to enter‚ but you should think twice about this decision. As you probably know by this point in your playthrough‚ Lae’zel is headstrong and won’t listen to you without a convincing argument. Unless you nail some crucial skill checks and have the dice in your favor (or save scum)‚ Lae’zel is going in the Zaith’isk whether you want her to or not. This can have serious long-lasting consequences‚ so you’ll need to think fast to save her. What Happens if Lae’zel Enters the Zaith’isk in Baldur’s Gate 3 As you might have expected with the Githyanki‚ their form of “curing” the Illithid parasite is brutally effective. If the process finishes‚ Lae’zel will have a permanent debuff for the rest of the gam...

A Real Woman Explains Why Ohio’s Governor Was Wrong to Veto Bill to Curb Transgenderism

Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine‚ a Republican‚ on Friday issued an executive order prohibiting gender-transition surgeries on minors in his state and issued draft administrative rules on so-called gender-affirming care for minors and adults. DeWine’s directives came a week after his Dec. 29 veto of House Bill 68‚ the Saving Adolescents from Experimentation (SAFE) Act‚ which would restrict any gender-affirming care for minors in Ohio and bar biological males who “identify” as females from participating in girls’ and women’s interscholastic athletics. Heritage Foundation legal scholar Sarah Parshall Perry herewith takes issue with DeWine’s decision. (The Daily Signal is the news outlet of The Heritage Foundation.) Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine just vetoed a bill that would have protected women and children in the Buckeye State. HB 68 is a commonsense bill with broad support designed to do two things: Protect minor children from irreversible damage by banning experimental surgeries and cross-sex hormones for those under 18 and prevent males from competing in female scholastic athletics. 70% of Americans agree that both minor children shouldn’t be rammed through gender-transition procedures and that boys don’t belong in women’s sports‚ which makes sense considering that those aren’t controversial positions. But Gov. DeWine would rather capitulate to a vocal minority screaming “settled science” or “trans women are women.” Without evidence‚ he also claims that his own executive action on the issue would have a better chance of surviving judicial review. He’s wrong‚ and the lawmakers of Ohio should show him by exercising a veto override before women and children have to pay the price for his political correctness. Have an opinion about this article? Mike Sadler‚ The Last Member of the Original S.A.S‚ Dies at 103

Mike Sadler‚ The Last Member of the Original S.A.S‚ Dies at 103

Maj. Mike Sadler‚ one of the first recruits and the last surviving member of Britain’s Special Air Service (S.A.S.)‚ died on Thursday in Cambridge‚ England. He was 103. Dubbed a human GPS by the New York Times‚ Sadler served in the Long Range Desert Group (LRDG)‚ an elite reconnaissance unit prized by the British for its prowess at deep desert exploration and infiltration of enemy-held wilderness.  As the key navigator within the LRDG‚ it was Sadler’s duty to guide the commandos — including the likes of Robert Blair “Paddy” Mayne — as they “crept onto Nazi airfields; attached time bombs to Messerschmitt fighters‚ Stuka dive bombers‚ fuel dumps and pilot quarters; then sped away as explosions roared behind‚” writes the NYT. But unlike his daredevilish comrades‚ Sadler might not have even fired a single shot at the enemy while fighting in the North African desert. Sadler arrived on the African continent in 1941 as an antitank gunner‚ but after a chance meeting with LRDG recruits in a Cairo bar while on leave‚ Sadler quickly joined the budding detachment. Although‚ as Sadler puts it‚ he was never actually asked if he wanted to join the S.A.S.‚ according to the BBC History Magazine. “All I knew‚” Sadler quipped‚ “was that [S.A.S. commander] David Stirling decided he wanted me — and somehow he got me.” Sadler became interested in celestial navigation and‚ within several weeks‚ learned how to use a theodolite‚ a tool used by surveyors to measure horizontal and vertical angles‚ as well as how to read celestial charts to accurately cross hundreds of miles amid the desert’s shifting sands and featureless landscapes. “I was so tickled by the idea of being able to find where you were by looking at the stars‚” Sadler later told the BBC History Magazine. “Desert navigation‚ like its equivalent at sea‚ is largely a matter of mathematics and observation‚ but the good navigator also relies on art‚ hunch and instinct‚” author Ben Macintyre wrote in “Rogue Heroes”. “Sadler had uncanny‚ almost unerring ability to know where he was‚ where he was going‚ and when he would get there.” Sadler‚ however‚ demurred over that fact‚ stating that he tried to never let his gut overrule his observations while navigating. “You have to be confident because it was awfully easy‚ especially at night‚ to start feeling you’re going wrong and you should be further to left or right‚” he told historian Gavin Mortimer. “It was rather easy to give way to that feeling if you weren’t confident.” Yet time and time again‚ Sadler delivered his men to their targets — and got them out again. “Without him‚” the New York Times reports‚ “the commandos could not have crossed hundreds of miles of desert‚ found enemy bases on the Mediterranean Coast‚ destroyed more than 325 aircraft‚ blown up ammunition and supply dumps‚ killed hundreds of German and Italian soldiers and pilots‚ or found their way back to hidden bases.” The S.A.S. became well-known for their hit-and-run strike attacks — striking deep into Nazi-held territory and then disappearing just as swiftly as they had arrived. After leaving the desert war in 1943‚ Sadler was posted to an S.A.S. training center in Scotland before parachuting in France in 1944 after the D-Day invasion to aid in sabotage operations. He retired from the war as a major. According to the Washington Post‚ Sadler later joined the British Foreign Office‚ working in intelligence during the Cold War. He declined to publicly discuss his duties. Like many of the rogue heroes that surrounded him‚ Sadler wasn’t initially suited for the strait-laced Army life. Before joining the S.A.S.‚ Sadler voluntarily gave up his sergeant rank rather than apologize over his objection that soldiers keep their boots on in their sleeping bags. “I wasn’t at all keen on the extreme aspects of militarism‚ marching up and down‚” Sadler later recalled. “Although I did my best to be reasonably smart.” Among the S.A.S.‚ he had found like-minded people. “Nowadays the SAS has a fearsome reputation‚” Sadler wrote in the foreword of Joshua Levine’s “SAS: The Illustrated History of the SAS”‚ “but I don’t remember ever wanting to kill anybody.”

Dark Energy May Be Getting Diluted As The Universe Expands

Dark Energy May Be Getting Diluted As The Universe Expands

For a quarter of a century‚ we have known that the universe is experiencing an accelerated expansion. We call the culprit dark energy‚ but we are yet to know its true nature. In the current best model‚ dark energy is a cosmological constant – its value at every point in space and time is always the same. New data from an incredible survey suggest that this idea could be challenged. The Dark Energy Survey (DES) used data from 1‚499 supernovae of a particular kind called Type Ia‚ whose luminosity is always the same. This allows astronomers to measure the distance of the galaxies that host these events with exquisite detail. The data can be used to estimate the ‘w’ parameter. For a cosmological constant‚ this parameter should be equal to -1. The DES data accept that this value is possible according to the behavior of all those galaxies. But a value that suits the numbers even better is -0.8. If this is confirmed‚ it would mean that as the universe expands‚ dark energy is becoming more diluted."At first sight‚ this is not the minus one that we expected‚ but our result is still consistent with that value within the margin of uncertainty. That means that we cannot rule out the standard cosmological model of the universe. At the same time‚ it shows how‚ the larger our datasets‚ the more we narrow down that margin of uncertainty‚ leaving less and less wiggle room. If a future‚ larger survey significantly agrees with our result rather than with -1‚ that would point to exciting‚ exotic new physics‚" Dr Or Graur‚ Associate Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Portsmouth‚ said in a statement sent to IFLScience. The survey is the largest‚ deepest supernova sample from a single telescope ever compiled‚ but it is expected to not hold the record for long‚ with observatories like Vera Rubin and others coming online in the near future. The standard model of cosmology has encountered some problems recently due to the so-called Hubble tension‚ which shows two different values for the expansion rate of the universe. This is inconsistent with the model. So‚ maybe finding a different value for the w parameter is another hint that the universe is more complex than our model suggests.“Twenty-five years after we first detected that it must exist‚ we still know very little about dark energy‚” added Dr Philip Wiseman. “That’s part of what makes it exciting. All the data up until now have been consistent with dark energy being a constant but these results open up the intriguing possibility that the density of dark energy could have changed as the universe expands. Knowing whether it is or isn’t a constant will help us to narrow down the theories as to what dark energy might be.”The research was presented at the 243rd meeting of the American Astronomical Society by Dr Wiseman.
