Cat meets puppies for 1st time and the funniest interaction takes place

It’s a universal truth that puppies are adorable‚ but not everyone is instantly charmed by their playful antics. Their boundless curiosity and energy can be overwhelming for some. While most of us can’t resist their cuteness‚ some would rather keep their distance. This was exactly the case with a certain cat‚ who found himself in... 'The Cruelty Is The Point‚' Velshi Smears GOP As Racist On The Border

Why do Republicans care about the border? It is a simple question with a simple answer: it is a mess. But for MSNBC’s Ali Velshi‚ who had guest hosting duties for Wednesday’s Alex Wagner Tonight‚ it is because “they want to let fewer brown people in” and any measures to address the issue prove that “the cruelty is the point.” Velshi began the show by discussing dueling op-eds from Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis in the Des Moines Register where they sought to convince voters that they would be the best candidate on the issue‚ “Now‚ what both Trump and DeSantis are advancing in these op-eds are neither actually fixes to our country's border issues nor are they actually immigration policies. But they are the sort of plans you can tell people that you have‚ and they are articulating them to the public.”     Those plans‚ according to Velshi‚ are that “They want to let fewer brown people in. They want immigration to be the most painful process possible. They want to set new records in deportations. Again‚ none of that really addresses any of the root causes of migration or the actual problems with our immigration system‚ which are real. But it is a plan‚ and it is a plan around which Republicans are largely unified.” Moving on from Trump and DeSantis‚ Velshi turned his attention to Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and played a video “from last Friday of migrants‚ including children and adults‚ carrying children‚ attempting to cross a river at the southern border in Eagle Pass‚ Texas. The Texas governor‚ Greg Abbott‚ tweeted this video out today. Not out of sympathy for the plight of these migrants that you are looking at on your screen‚ and their harrowing journey‚ but to celebrate the razor wire that his government put up to make their journey more difficult.” Is Abbott supposed to make the journey easier? That would incentivize more people to head to the border. If Velshi sincerely believes there are “actual problems” worth addressing he would know that. Instead‚ Velshi just smears them as racists and continuing in with his anti-Abbott ramblings‚ he declared that “Governor Abbott is currently facing up with a Biden administration in court about whether it was illegal for Abbott to put the razor wire up in the first place. But legal or illegal‚ and it probably is illegal‚ the cruelty is the point.” No‚ controlling the border is the point as last month was featured the most encounters at the border since 2000.   Here is a transcript for the January 3 show: MSNBC Alex Wagner Tonight 1/3/2024 9:00 PM ET ALI VELSHI: Now‚ what both Trump and DeSantis are advancing in these op-eds are neither actually fixes to our country's border issues nor are they actually immigration policies. But they are the sort of plans you can tell people that you have‚ and they are articulating them to the public.  They want to let fewer brown people in. They want immigration to be the most painful process possible. They want to set new records in deportations. Again‚ none of that really addresses any of the root causes of migration or the actual problems with our immigration system‚ which are real. But it is a plan‚ and it is a plan around which Republicans are largely unified.  This is video from last Friday of migrants‚ including children and adults‚ carrying children‚ attempting to cross a river at the southern border in Eagle Pass‚ Texas. The Texas governor‚ Greg Abbott‚ tweeted this video out today. Not out of sympathy for the plight of these migrants that you are looking at on your screen‚ and their harrowing journey‚ but to celebrate the razor wire that his government put up to make their journey more difficult.  Governor Abbott is currently facing up with a Biden administration in court about whether it was illegal for Abbott to put the razor wire up in the first place. But legal or illegal‚ and it probably is illegal‚ the cruelty is the point. And‚ again‚ this is not just Abbott‚ this is not just DeSantis‚ this is not just Trump. Today‚ the Speaker of the House‚ Mike Johnson‚ led a delegation of 60 of his fellow Republican congresspeople to Eagle Pass‚ Texas‚ the same spot on the border that the governor was tweeting about. Members of that delegation threatened to shut down the entire federal government if their demands on border policy are not met.

Vermont Gets $4K in Grants For More Drag Story Hours in Rural Areas

Vermont Gets $4K in Grants For More Drag Story Hours in Rural Areas

New year‚ same grooming goals. The Vermont Community Fund just gathered four thousand dollars in funds to help expand Drag Story Hour events to rural libraries in the state. According to local Vermont News Channel 3‚ two drag queens are helping extend the opportunity to groom kids through books and storytelling at local libraries.  Justin Marsh‚ who’s drag name is Emoji Nightmare‚ said he wished for more drag shows when he was a child.  “I was a queer kid in rural Vermont and this wasn’t available to me‚” he said according to the outlet‚ adding‚ “I think that’s what’s really important about not only story hour‚ but organizations like Outright Vermont. They’re really allowing space for youth to arm themselves with the knowledge of gender and sexuality.” Related: Oregon High School Postpones ‘Family Friendly’ Drag Show Amid Threats Outright Vermont paints itself as a support group for LGBTQ youth. It's like a local epicenter of gayness for kids. Marsh and his co-accomplice‚ Kat Redniss‚ who’s drag name is Katniss Everqueer‚ typically host events together.  “At story hours‚ especially when we’re going into really rural areas‚ it might be the first time that a family or a child has seen themselves represented or seen their neighbor represented‚ or that just gives them language to express their feelings‚” Redniss told the outlet.  Now‚ with the funds collected‚ those groomers' goals will be met! The Vermont Community Foundation’s Samara Fund will “help us offer eight story hours to small‚ rural libraries across the state in 2024‚” the queens wrote on their webpage about their story hours. A new push is underway to expand drag queen performances to rural libraries. Vermont just got a grant to fund it. pic.twitter.com/ud77N74xfK — End Wokeness (@EndWokeness) January 3‚ 2024 The Samara Fund is a “group of queer and trans vermonters committed to a vision of transformational grants and scholarships to the people and groups throughout Vermont who demonstrate their dedication to the empowerment‚ health‚ and safety of lesbian‚ gay‚ bisexual‚ transgender‚ queer and HIV positive (LGBTQ+) people‚” according to its webpage. This fund has donated tons of money to push wokeism in Vermont. In 2021 it awarded $38‚000 in grants to various nonprofits and individuals who aim to push LGBTQism in the state. This past November‚ $112‚230 was given from the Samara Fund for similar causes. MRCTV reached out to the fund to ask where the money comes from but so far we've received no reply.  In response to the effort by Emoji Nightmare‚ Katniss Everqueer and the Vermont Community Foundation’s funds for such an indoctrinating cause‚ users online were peeved. “Drag queens are performers who can't even make money in strip clubs with people who like it! It's no wonder they want to expand their market to underaged children trapped in public libraries‚” one user wrote after the End Wokeness account shared a news clip covering the situation. “Vermont wants to normalize ped*philic‚ predatory‚ and grooming behaviors‚” another user added. One more wrote‚ “Locals should tell them to take their adult autogynephilia issues back to the clubs and stay out of the family areas.” It’s rather disturbing that the state of Vermont cares so much about pushing the leftist agenda and anti-americanism down the throats of its locals‚ most especially its kids. If you’re looking for a place to settle in the mountains‚ I’d look somewhere else! Follow us on Twitter/X: Woke of The Weak: 2024 might be brand new but the Left wasted no time shoving LGBTQ+ propaganda down our throats. Our New Year's resolution? Avoid these people like the plague. pic.twitter.com/TBkzdGkzpz — MRCTV (@mrctv) January 2‚ 2024

23andMe blames victims for data breach‚ claiming users 'recycled' passwords

23andMe blames victims for data breach‚ claiming users 'recycled' passwords

23andMe denied fault for last year's massive data security breach and instead shifted blame to its users who "recycled" their passwords‚ according to a December letter recently obtained by TechCrunch. The letter‚ sent by a legal firm representing 23andMe to a group of users suing the company‚ states that "no breach occurred.""As set forth in 23andMe's October 6‚ 2023 blog post‚ 23andMe believes that unauthorized actors managed to access certain user accounts in instances where users recycled their own login credentials—that is‚ users used the same usernames and passwords used on 23andMe.com as on other websites that had been subject to prior security breaches‚ and users negligently recycled and failed to update their passwords following these past security incidents‚ which are unrelated to 23andMe‚" the letter claimed. 23andMe's legal firm further contended that the company did not violate the California Privacy Rights Act‚ the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act‚ the Illinois Genetic Information Privacy Act‚ or any other laws."[T]he incident was not a result of 23andMe's alleged failure to maintain reasonable security measures under the CPRA‚" it added.23andMe claimed that even "if a violation occurred‚" the company has since taken steps to protect its users. After informing law enforcement about the "unauthorized access‚" it ended all active sessions in October‚ requiring users to perform a password reset to log back into their accounts. In November‚ the company also set up a required 2-step verification process‚ which was only optional before‚ for "an added layer of protection.""Equally important‚ the information that was potentially accessed cannot be used for any harm‚" the letter claimed. In 23andMe's blog post addressing the data security concerns‚ the company explained that the hackers accessed DNA Relatives profiles‚ a feature of its website that includes information such as display names‚ predicted relationships‚ and percentage of DNA shared with genetic matches. Users must opt-in to share this information with their genetic relatives‚ the company noted. Threat actors would not have been able to access this information for users who did not enable the feature‚ the blog post explained.Hassan Zavareei‚ one of the lawyers representing the group of victims‚ told TechCrunch that 23andMe is "shamelessly" blaming the users. "Rather than acknowledge its role in this data security disaster‚ 23andMe has apparently decided to leave its customers out to dry while downplaying the seriousness of these events‚" Zavareei said."This finger pointing is nonsensical‚" Zavareei continued. "23andMe knew or should have known that many consumers use recycled passwords and thus that 23andMe should have implemented some of the many safeguards available to protect against credential stuffing — especially considering that 23andMe stores personal identifying information‚ health information‚ and genetic information on its platform."The security breach impacted 6.9 million 23andMe accounts‚ almost half the company's users. TechCrunch reported that 23andMe is facing more than 30 lawsuits due to the incident.Hackers initially gained access to 14‚000 user accounts by using a cyberattack method known as credential stuffing‚ where threat actors use stolen login information from previous data breaches to attempt to access other websites. The brute force attacks assume users apply the same credentials to multiple online accounts. After breaching those accounts‚ hackers were able to access the data of millions of 23andMe users who had opted-in to the website's DNA Relatives feature‚ TechCrunch reported.Zavareei explained‚ "The breach impacted millions of consumers whose data was exposed through the DNA Relatives feature on 23andMe's platform‚ not because they used recycled passwords. Of those millions‚ only a few thousand accounts were compromised due to credential stuffing. 23andMe's attempt to shirk responsibility by blaming its customers does nothing for these millions of consumers whose data was compromised through no fault of their own whatsoever."Neither 23andMe nor its legal team responded to a request for comment‚ TechCrunch reported. 'The loss of DEI-Phobic companies is my gain': Mark Cuban defends diversity programs as good business practice

Billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban defended diversity‚ equity‚ and inclusion as a business strategy in a thread of comments where he explained his interpretation of what the controversial programs mean.Cuban was responding on X to owner Elon Musk who had described DEI as "racism" the day before."DEI is just another word for racism. Shame on anyone who uses it‚" Musk wrote in a post on X. "Discrimination on the basis of race‚ which DEI does‚ is literally the definition of racism‚" he noted in another post. Directly replying to Musk‚ the tech mogul explained what he thought defined each portion of DEI.For diversity‚ Cuban simply stated that businesses should look to hire diverse work forces to "put your business in the best possible position to succeed.""You may not agree‚ but I take it as a given that there are people of various races‚ ethnicities‚ orientation‚ etc that are regularly excluded from hiring consideration‚" Cuban continued. He went on to conclude that simply extending hiring searches to include such people means more qualified individuals would be found."The loss of DEI-Phobic companies is my gain‚" he added. Let me help you out and give you my thoughts on DEI\n1. Diversity\nGood businesses look where others don't‚ to find the employees that will put your business in the best possible position to succeed. \nYou may not agree‚ but I take it as a given that there are people of various\xe2\x80\xa6 — (@) "Treating people equally does not mean treating them the same‚" Cuban said for equity. The billionaire then explained that employers should put their employees "in a position to succeed." "Recognize their differences and play to their strengths where ever possible." It is important to note that typical DEI programs do not define equity as allowing employees to succeed; it is usually related to providing advantages based on race or other immutable characteristics‚ theoretically to make up for prior alleged injustices. For example‚ the National Association of Colleges and Employers describes equity in part as attempting to "identify and overcome intentional and unintentional barriers arising from bias or systemic structures."Inclusion‚ which is often used to justify the hiring of an employee based on their race or sexual orientation‚ was described by Cuban as "making all employees‚ no matter who they are or how they see themselves‚ feel comfortable in their environment and able to do their jobs."The "Shark Tank" star concluded by throwing to the replies to his thread‚ seemingly implying that DEI programs are needed due to certain "feelings" that are expressed in the workplace:5. So what's the conclusion ?If you don't think there is a need for DEI and it doesn't create a competitive advantage for your company‚ just look at the @x posts/replies/quotes below. These are the same people that work for you or are your co-workers. Everyone is…— Mark Cuban (@mcuban) January 3‚ 2024 Many notable respondents did not agree with Cuban's framing of the DEI definitions:"Mark you are defining words in a way nobody else does‚ and certainly not how they put them into practice‚" said commentator Dave Rubin."Unclear if you're being dishonest here‚ redefining words to win a twitter argument‚ or if you truly just have no idea how DEI has worked throughout the country. but 'equity' in practice has meant race-based hiring quotas and bonuses. it is evil‚" added Mike Solana‚ editor in chief of tech brand Pirate Wires. @mcuban @stclairashley Mark you are defining words in a way nobody else does‚ and certainly not how they put them into practice. — (@) Like Blaze News?
