High-Profile Anchor Out At CNN

High-Profile Anchor Out At CNN

With ratings plummeting and cutbacks happening in almost every major left-leaning television news outlet in America, it is no surprise that another CNN news anchor has announced her departure. Alisyn Camerota abruptly announced that she would be exiting CNN towards the end of her segment on Sunday. Notorious Never-Trump propaganda hack Alisyn Camerota has been let go by CNN.How do you feel about that? pic.twitter.com/ljD2uPAmgy — Johnny Midnight (@its_The_Dr) December 10, 2024 While there is no confirmation at this time regarding the exact nature of the circumstances that led to Camerota’s departure from the network, it is a safe assumption that falling ratings and a shift in the political climate likely played a role. Camerota shared her announcement on Instagram, where she said she will be active going forward according to a report by USA Today. Sharing a photo of herself behind her desk, Camerota wrote, “Big News, Everyone! − today is my last day on CNN.” She did not immediately reveal her next steps but said she would sign off Sunday afternoon on CNN and will share updates with followers. The news personality addressed her departure from the network in the closing moments of her final newscast, although she did not disclose the reason for her exit. “I’ve had such incredible opportunities here these past 10+ years. I’ve interviewed presidents and heroes and extraordinary people, the kind of peak career experiences that I had dreamed of since I was a teenager,” Camerota said. “The journalists at CNN are the very best in the entire news business, and it’s been an honor to have been their colleague.” Camerota, 58, joined the cable news giant in 2014 and served as anchor of its “New Day” morning show from 2015 to 2021. The Emmy-winning reporter went on to co-anchor “CNN Newsroom” and “CNN Tonight.” She published a memoir, “Combat Love,” earlier this year, and a novel, “Amanda Wakes Up,” in 2017. Camerota previously worked at Fox News for 16 years and in 2017 alleged the network’s former CEO, Roger Ailes, sexually harassed her. Because of her experience at the competitor, The Hollywood Reporter described Camerota as CNN’s “Fox News whisperer” in 2019. While many in the realm of mainstream news let their bias against President Trump show, some go the extra mile and consider it a badge of honor to be as abrasively anti-Trump as possible. Alisyn Camerota is without a doubt one of those media hacks who seemed especially prone to airing their hatred of President Trump. In that spirit, here is a “before and after” of sorts, including her parting words from Sunday’s CNN broadcast. Christmas came early this year. Notorious NeverTrumper propaganda hack Alisyn Camerota is no longer employed by CNN You can catch her horrible takes & lies on Instagram going forward. https://t.co/n7rKmg1rt7 pic.twitter.com/hNVSzQgCDY — Prodigal (@ProdigalThe3rd) December 9, 2024 In all fairness, Camerota has endured a particularly terrible year which may have played into her departure from CNN. Her husband, Tim, passed away after a 2-year battle with pancreatic cancer earlier this year. CNN anchor Alisyn Camerota reveals death of Tim Lewis, her husband of 22 years, in gut-wrenching post https://t.co/M8q9Q4cR0X pic.twitter.com/HGdYepzIse — New York Post (@nypost) September 21, 2024 Camerota didn’t announce the loss of her husband until September, nearly two months after he died.   View this post on Instagram   A post shared by Alisyn Camerota (@alisyncamerota) While it is very likely that the wave of falling ratings plaguing many left-leaning mainstream outlets may have contributed to Camerota’s departure, it is also highly probably that the recent loss of her husband has caused a reevaluation of her next steps in life. Her husband was 58 when he died, as was Camerota according to a New York Post article that covered his death when she announced it. Lewis, 58, died July 27, two months before the couple’s 23rd wedding anniversary. Camerota, also 58, wrote in a gut-wrenching Instagram post that Lewis died “two years after being diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer.” “This month would have been our 23rd wedding anniversary,” she wrote next to a photo of their September 2001 wedding day. The couple share three kids, twin daughters Ale and Cessa, and son Nate. “I cannot imagine any human being soldiering through a devastating diagnosis with more humor, humility and bravery than Tim. He was a phenomenal father, husband, friend and role model and the rest of us are left trying to follow in his footsteps,” Camerota wrote. Camerota said she and her children “are still getting our bearings. Tim imbued us with a lot of strength and stability and we’re determined to try to emulate those qualities.” Whether this most change at CNN was initiated by Camerota or by the brass at CNN responding to shifting political realities on the heels of President Trump’s sweeping victory remains to be seen. Either way, the dynamics of the mainstream media are certainly changing as shakeups in high-profile positions seem to be announced almost daily. We may well be on our way to a conservative shift in the media for all practical purposes — if not because of an “awakening” of sorts among leftist pundits, then at least as a repercussion of conservative voices finding more support than they’ve been used to receiving from the media gatekeepers for the last few years.

Mike Tyson Hit By $1.5 Million Lawsuit For Jake Paul Fight

Chatter about possible lawsuits was swirling even before the 8th round final bell of Mike Tyson’s hyped-up fight against Jake Paul. The optics of the fight seemed to suggest that Paul may have “carried” Tyson, when he could have landed a knockout blow. Jesse Watters brought up that issue shortly after the fight on a Fox News segment. Fans who bet on Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson want a lawsuit #PaulTyson pic.twitter.com/o9uQhXd3Lk — MMAWeekly (@MMAWeeklycom) November 21, 2024 According to one sports attorney interviewed by the New York Post, Jake Paul’s comments regarding that issue definitely opened up the possibility for later lawsuits. “It wouldn’t shock me one bit to see a lawsuit filed on this fight,” Dan Lust, a Sports Attorney at Moritt Hock & Hamroff and Law Professor at New York Law School, told The Post. Paul fought Tyson to a snoozer of an eight-round decision win, where the former heavyweight champ appeared to be struggling to stand as many criticized Paul for carrying him to the finish. It appeared Paul could’ve won by knockout at his convenience, as Tyson looked wobbly in the later rounds. Paul seemingly admitted as much after the fight, telling reporters he “didn’t want to hurt someone that didn’t need to be hurt.” To date, no such lawsuit has been brought surrounding that issue. There was, as many expected, a lawsuit brought against Netflix for the horrible quality of their streaming during the live event. That class action lawsuit could reportedly involve as many as 50,000 plaintiffs. Netflix LAWSUIT for Jake Paul vs Mike Tyson due to poor streaming quality. A class action was filed in Florida. pic.twitter.com/0uZbw3uVsp — DramaAlert (@DramaAlert) November 19, 2024 But now, Mike Tyson is facing a lawsuit for simply agreeing to the fight to begin with. According to UK based Medier, Tyson allegedly broke a previous contract with their firm — which also involved a planned fight with Jake Paul — in order to accept the Netflix deal which went forward. Mike Tyson and his legal team are firing back after being sued for $1.6 million by UK company Medier. Tyson insists the breach of contract was on their part, not his, and defends his team’s actions in protecting his reputation. #MikeTyson #JakePaul #LegalBattle #BoxingNews… pic.twitter.com/5ZTrrv76hD — FTTV Boxing (@FTTVBoxing) December 8, 2024 Medier is bringing a $1.59 million lawsuit against Tyson on behalf of the online casino and betting platform Rabona, which according to Newsmax alleges that Tyson breached their sponsorship agreement to fight Paul. The company alleges that Tyson, 58, and his company, Tyrannic, breached a sponsorship agreement when the high-profile Netflix bout was announced in March. Subsequently, Medier filed a lawsuit in London’s High Court in October, alleging the former heavyweight champion of unlawfully abandoning a deal he signed in January 2024. “The true reason for Mr. Tyson and Tyrannic’s hasty and unlawful termination was because Mr. Tyson had agreed [to] a deal, sponsored by Netflix, to fight the influencer Jake Paul,” Medier’s lawyer wrote in documents released on Friday. In response, Tyson’s counsel responded with the following statement, according to the New York Post: “It is the company’s position that Medier, Ltd. materially breached the terms of its license agreement on multiple occasions and in various ways. As such, Tyrannic, LLC was well within its legal and contractual rights to terminate the license agreement for material breach in an effort to mitigate additional reputational harm to the Tyson brand.” Talk about a slap in the face… Tyson’s lawyers have countered the claims of Medier, arguing that the contract was breached — but by Medier rather than Tyson. Though he lost the fight against Jake Paul, Tyson won a reported $20 million for going through with the fight, according to Fox News. Tyson’s lawyers said Medier breached the contract after failing to obtain Tyson’s approval of promotional materials. Medier is seeking more than $800,000 returned in fees paid to Tyson “for which no services were provided” as well as $729,000 in “wasted production and promotion costs,” per the lawsuit. While Tyson lost the sanctioned fight, which goes on his professional boxing record, he received a reported $20 million for the bout against Paul. More than 72,000 fans were at AT&T Stadium in Dallas to watch the bout, in addition to the millions watching on Netflix. More than 108 million viewers watched the event, and though it wasn’t the best boxing match, it was the most streamed sporting event in history. The much-anticipated fight with Jake Paul may be over, and much of the controversy surrounding the streaming quality and legitimacy of that match has subsided. But this latest lawsuit is sure to keep Mike Tyson in the news a little while longer. This is a developing story, and we will bring you details as they develop.

The View Co-Host Says She Will Wear a MAGA Hat If President Trump Frees Israeli Hostages

Never thought I’d see the day that The View would potentially go MAGA, but here we are… One of the co-hosts of the talk show, Alyssa Farrah Griffin, just promised to will wear a MAGA hat live on the show if President Trump  successfully “gets the Israeli hostages out!” Watch her pledge right here: Alyssa Farah Griffin Vows To Wear MAGA Hat on The View if Trump gets Hamas to release Israeli hostages.#TheView #Hamas #MAGA #Israel #ReleaseTheHostages pic.twitter.com/pwu1dUPDeq — Headline USA (@HeadlineUSA) December 9, 2024 Anti-Trumper Alyssa Farah Griffin promises to wear a MAGA hat on The View if Trump gets the American hostages back from Hamas. Sunny Hostin demands: “Please don’t do that. Please don’t do that.” pic.twitter.com/gACsWRLzxb — Nicholas Fondacaro (@NickFondacaro) December 9, 2024 RealClearPolitics has the transcript: ALYSSA FARAH GRIFFIN, THE VIEW: It’s important that not just America’s allies are watching, but America’s adversaries are watching that moment. And the world was watching this election, waiting with bated breath to know it was going to happen. And to know that there’s a peaceful transition of power, that despite my warnings and others about my concerns about Donald Trump, which are still very real, that America’s going to move forward, and that the First Lady is going to be able to be cordial to him on the world stage. Also, at the outskirts of this, he met with Macron and Zelensky and talked about the war in Ukraine. And that’s something I care deeply about, and I want Donald Trump to come around to perhaps continuing to support Ukraine and standing by the U.S.’s position. So my point when I say I’m not going to be apocalyptic, it’s not changing a tune. It’s not making every single thing a five-alarm fire. If he does good, if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on this show and say, thank you for doing it. SUNNY HOSTIN: Please don’t. GRIFFIN: She’ll knock it right off my head. But like, you have to be able to cheer for wins when they happen and then call out relentlessly the wrongdoing. Alyssa Farrah Griffin previously worked in the Trump administration during his first term. She resigned as Director of Strategic Communications in 2020, and has since become a Never-Trumper and huge critic. Fox News commented: “My point when I say I’m not going to be apocalyptic, it’s not changing a tune. It’s not making every single thing a five-alarm fire. If he does good – if he gets the Israeli hostages out, I promise I will wear a MAGA hat for one day on the show and say, ‘Thank you for doing it,’” Griffin said. “Please don’t do that,” one of her co-hosts said, sounding annoyed. “She’ll knock it off my head,” Griffin joked, before arguing, “You have to be able to cheer for wins when they happen, and call out relentlessly the wrongdoing.” Griffin formerly worked for Trump during his first administration as the White House director of strategic communications before resigning in December 2020. Since joining “The View,” she has been a vocal critic of Trump, often warning the danger he poses to the country. What do you think? Will she follow through with her promise? Would you like to see a MAGA hat make an appearance on The View? Let us know what you think…

Check it out: I’m extremely honored by President Trump’s nomination to assist with our nation’s civil rights agenda. It has been my dream to be able to serve our great country, and I am so excited to be part of an incredible team of lawyers led by @PamBondi. I cannot wait to get to work! I… pic.twitter.com/L2NCA9m987 — Harmeet K. Dhillon (@pnjaban) December 10, 2024 President Trump’s full Truth Social post here: So, who is she exactly? Harmeet Dhillon is an Indian-American lawyer who successfully combated efforts to take President Trump’s name off the ballot and defended civil liberties many times. Here’s what he had to say about her: Breaking: Donald Trump has announced Harmeet Dhillon @pnjaban as the nomineee to become Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the Department of Justice. Ms Dhillon has been a steadfast advocate of mine in my legal battles against Antifa and their members who have tried… pic.twitter.com/LybnHkWJm4 — Andy Ngo (@MrAndyNgo) December 10, 2024 CBS News reported: Dhillon is based in San Francisco and practices commercial litigation, employment law, First Amendment rights and election law matters, according to her professional bio. She founded her own law group in 2006, is a Republican National Committee member and previously held the position of vice chairwoman for the California Republican Party. In 2017, Dhillon represented the Berkeley College Republicans in a lawsuit after the university had initially called off an event where Ann Coulter was going to speak. She also filed a federal lawsuit against California and the Department of Motor Vehicles in 2019, accusing the agency of failing to verify citizenship for voter registration. The Daily Beast broke down some key points from Dhillon’s career: A 2020 Trump campaign legal adviser who begged for the Supreme Court to intervene in the presidential election over baseless claims of fraud, Dhillon’s track record indeed falls squarely on the side of conservative causes. In 2017, Dhillon represented UC Berkeley College Republicans and Young America’s Foundation when she sued the school after it cancelled a speaking appearance by right-wing commentator Ann Coulter, purportedly over safety concerns. Later that year, Dhillon represented former Google engineer James Damore, who was fired from the tech giant after he wrote an internal memo criticizing its culture and diversity policies. Two years later, Dhillon represented conservative journalist and social media influencer Andy Ngo in a suit against left-wing activist group Antifa after Ngo was injured in Portland, Oregon, by counter-protesters during a Proud Boys rally. Another point on Dhillon’s resume that Trump alluded to was how she filed several suits against California’s stay-at-home orders during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Dhillon represented pastors and churchgoers, as well as several businesses. Dhillon also represented former Fox News host Tucker Carlson after he was sued for gender discrimination by Abby Grossberg, a former producer for Carlson’s show. That suit, as well as another by Grossberg alleging Fox coerced her into giving false testimony, resulted in a settlement where Fox paid her $12 million. Another amazing pick!
