FAITH REALIGNMENT: Which Religious Group Voted for Kamala Harris?

Most Catholics and Protestants say they voted for the once and future president, Donald Trump, in Tuesday’s election, while most nonreligious Americans seem to have favored Vice President Kamala Harris, a new survey shows.  The Faith & Freedom Coalition, a group claiming 3 million activists and donors, released survey results Wednesday showing that 72% of Americans who claim they aren’t part of a religion said they voted for Harris and for Democrats running for the House or Senate.   On the other hand, nearly 60% of people of faith surveyed said they voted for Trump or for Republican congressional candidates. Exactly 56% said they voted for Trump and 58% for GOP congressional candidates.   Of those people of faith, 60% of Protestants said they voted for Trump and 58% of Catholics said they did the same. Sixty-one percent of Catholics said they voted for Republican congressional candidates, as did 60% of Protestants.   Public Opinion Strategies interviewed 800 individuals by phone on election night for the Faith & Freedom Coalition, speaking to those who said that they had voted. The results have a margin of error of plus or minus 3.46 percentage points.  Ralph Reed, founder and chairman of the Faith & Freedom Coalition, said at a press conference Wednesday that Harris’ liberal stance on abortion may have turned off voters of faith, and that Democrats have a “religion problem” in their party.  NEW: FFC Founder and Chairman @RalphReed holds a press conference in Washington, D.C. following President Donald Trump’s monumental victory. Our grassroots team engaged with MILLIONS of battleground state conservatives ahead of Election Day to deliver the Christian vote. pic.twitter.com/NVidj8Y2iW— Faith & Freedom (@FaithandFreedom) November 6, 2024 Reed also attributed the defeat of two ballot questions in Florida, one on abortion rights and one legalizing marijuana, to Trump’s overperformance among Hispanic, faith-based voters. The coalition registered voters in Hispanic churches, he said.   Penny Nance, CEO and president of Concerned Women for America, which calls itself the nation’s largest public policy organization for women, said her group was part of the coalition’s get-out-the-vote effort.   Fully 70% of voters surveyed said their votes were influenced by social issues related to Title IX, the federal law prohibiting discrimination against women in schools that receive federal funds, Nance said.   She said voters told Concerned Women for America that it’s important not to allow boys or men in girls or women’s sports or in their safe spaces such as restrooms and locker rooms.   All told, about 600 volunteers knocked on doors in an effort to visit 10 million households, Reed said. Rescuer Gets Stray Kitten off the Street and Returns for Another Cat, Her Sister, Cut from the Same Cloth

A kind rescuer helped get a stray kitten off the street and returned for another cat, her sister, cut from the same cloth. SallySparkleCatRescueLate last month, Beth, an animal rescuer, was contacted about two kittens, around 3-4 months old, living under a homeowner's porch. Both young and friendly, Beth was determined to give them the good life they deserved.Upon arriving, she noticed one of the kittens, Hazel, had an infected eye and needed immediate attention. She brought her home to begin treatment while the homeowner continued caring for the other kitten, Sally."She thought she could go back for Sally once she got help for Hazel," Stephanie Grantham, president of Sparkle Cat Rescue, shared with Love Meow. HazelSparkleCatRescueWith the community's support, Beth was able to secure the eye surgery for Hazel. "One of her eyes was in really bad shape, and after two weeks of meds and no improvement, it was removed."After surviving outdoors for months, Hazel seemed relieved and content to be in a comfy home. She nestled into her rescuer's arms as if she knew she was finally in good hands. Hazel was found with a bad eyeSparkleCatRescueA volunteer at Sparkle Cat Rescue took her in to help her heal after the surgery. She quickly perked up and regained her playful energy. Before long, Hazel was climbing cat trees and running around, claiming every inch she touched. With her renewed confidence, her personality began to shine through. "She slept with her foster (carer) on the first night and loved it." She healed beautifully in foster care after surgerySparkleCatRescueWhen Beth returned to check on Hazel's sister, Sally, the long-haired, dilute calico sauntered up, begging for attention. She was an instant cuddle bug and wanted nothing more than to be held and loved on.As Hazel healed beautifully in foster care, Beth asked Stephanie if they had room for another kitten. Beth returned for Hazel's sister, SallySparkleCatRescue"I told her to bring her to me so we could reunite her and Hazel."Sally arrived in good spirits, affectionately rubbing her face against everything around her. With her purrs rumbling, she explored her new space and greeted everyone she met. "This girl wants lots of attention." SparkleCatRescueWhile Stephanie tried to work on her computer, Sally jumped onto the desk, eager to assist. She placed a paw on her shoulder and rubbed her face against the arm controlling the mouse.Needless to say, Stephanie didn't get much work done that day, but she was delighted to know Sally was finally safe. She demanded constant attention at the officeSparkleCatRescueWith both kittens securely indoors, it was time for their reunion.A family jumped at the chance to foster the kittens and reunite them. It didn't take long before they fell head over heels for the pair. "Both girls went to a new foster home (potentially will be adopted by the foster) this week and are doing great." Hazel and Sally were reunitedSparkleCatRescueWhile lounging on the big bed Hazel had claimed, she saw her sister and was intrigued.Within two days, the two were playing, chasing each other around the house, and soon, curling up on the same bed like two peas in a pod. Within two days, they were playing and napping togetherSparkleCatRescue"They are both very loving and social, love to play with their toys and cuddle with humans. Their lives are forever changed now."With the help of rescuers and volunteers, the sisters have been reunited and are now starting a new chapter filled with food, love, and each other. Happy and lovedSparkleCatRescueShare this story with your friends. FEMA investigating stunning report that hurricane relief workers were ordered to skip houses with pro-Trump signs

The Federal Emergency Management Agency said it is looking into a shocking report that one of its officials had ordered relief workers to skip homes that were displaying pro-Trump signs. The Daily Wire first documented the accusations based on multiple workers who said that supervisor Marn’i Washington gave a verbal order to avoid Trump homes. It also obtained documents that corroborated the claims. 'It’s almost unbelievable to think that somebody in the federal government would think that’s okay.' “Trump sign no entry per leadership," read one entry in the government system reviewed by the Wire. Washington reportedly made the order as workers were canvassing neighborhoods in Lake Placid, Florida, to sign up residents for federal aid over damage from Hurricane Milton in October and November. “I know they’re short-staffed, I thought we could go help and make a difference,” said one of the employees quoted in the Wire report. “When we got there we were told to discriminate against people. It’s almost unbelievable to think that somebody in the federal government would think that’s okay.” The report said the district affected by Washington's order voted by 70% to back President-elect Donald Trump in the election. “I volunteered to help disaster victims, not discriminate against them,” the employee continued. “It didn’t matter if people were black, white, Hispanic, for Trump, for Harris. Everyone deserves the same amount of help.”Other messages in the government system read, “Per leadership no stop Trump flag,” “Trump sign,” and “Trump sign, no contact per leadership.”FEMA told the Wire that it was investigating the claims. “We are aware of it and we are taking action at this moment regarding the situation that you’re talking about," said Washington’s FEMA supervisor, Chad Hershey. The Wire also obtained a complaint made to FEMA about the alleged incident. “This behavior raises significant concerns of discrimination against United States citizens because of their political views,” the complaint read. “These actions not only undermine the integrity of our agency and create a hostile work environment for those who may hold differing political beliefs but they also threaten the very democracy of our country.”FEMA had been previously criticized for what many said was a slow and incompetent response to a major natural disaster that struck mainly Republican-majority states and counties. Did THIS generation just save America?

The counting is done, and Donald Trump has won with a stunning 312 electoral votes — the most any Republican candidate has won since George H.W. Bush in 1988. “Blaze News Tonight” host Jill Savage and Blaze News editor in chief Matthew Peterson are joined by Clay Travis, OutKick founder and co-host of "The Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show," to discuss how Trump was able to achieve this landslide victory. According to Travis, Kamala Harris “got her a** kicked” partially because “she never really told us what she thought on the issues, and the ones she did tell us about she was wrong on.” “Meanwhile, Trump was right on everything,” and he expanded his voter base by appealing to “men in particular — black, white, Asian, Hispanic.” However, there was another major factor that contributed to Harris’ epic loss: Generation X. “You spoke about how Generation X came out in large numbers. Why do you think that is?” Peterson asks. “Because Generation X has great judgment,” Travis answers. “I do think Gen X saved America.” “I think a big reason why is Trump appeals to people who grew up in the 1980s and the 1990s. ... We grew up in an America that was awesome and an America that was filled with belief that we were the greatest country in the history of the world,” he adds. “A lot of Democrats frankly don't believe that anymore, and I think much of Generation X, myself included, fundamentally rejects this idea that somehow as America is a fundamentally awful, racist country, and we like the idea Trump is selling, which is American exceptionalism is a good thing. We are the freest and fairest country in the history of the world,” he explains. “I think Gen X is one of the biggest and foremost defenders of that idea.” Jill then points to another group that “overwhelmingly voted for Trump” — college football players. “Why does Donald resonate so well with this group?” asks Jill. “I think young men innately are seeing through the BS world that they have grown up in — this woke universe where suddenly being male is wrong,” Travis says. “I think a lot of these young men in college football programs, you know, they saw this crazy Lia Thomas business, and they don't think it makes any sense.” “They're tired of having to pretend that they don't believe what they believe. I am super optimistic that this next generation of men, these young men now 18- to 29-year-old who are coming in to vote, are going to have a big impact,” he adds. To hear more of the conversation, including Travis’ thoughts on exactly how Trump flipped the swing states, watch the clip above. Ocasio-Cortez calls Trump a fascist and blames sexism for Harris loss: 'This is going to be a very scary time'

Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York broke her silence about the election and warned her supporters that a "scary time" was coming. 'The fascist won a lot of working-class support.' Ocasio-Cortez posted the video on her Instagram account with more than 8.1 million followers to discuss the stunning loss of Vice President Kamala Harris to President-elect Donald Trump. “This is going to be a very, very, very, challenging difficult time," she said. "This is going to be a very scary time." She opined that had Harris been a man that perhaps she would have won the election and defended her against critics who blamed the vice president for the loss to Trump. "I think it's important to also state here that Kamala Harris was given an assignment that no other person in American history was given. To construct a presidential campaign in 90 to 100 days... and have to deliver the country from an enormous fascist threat that had already been campaigning and priming the pump for essentially eight years," said Ocasio-Cortez. "This race may not have been decided by any individual factor but misogyny is very real in this country," she added. "If Kamala Harris was Tom Harris we may have a different result today, I don't know."Ocasio-Cortez was re-elected on Tuesday with 69% of the vote. “I’m not here to sugarcoat what we are about to experience,” she continued. "We find ourselves I believe in a time where there are, let's say peers, in history of mass movements of people that mobilize to protect one another in times of fascism and authoritarianism. And this is the era that we are poised to enter."She also expressed frustration that Trump had increased his support from the working class in the U.S. “It’s an enormous setback because the fascist won a lot of working-class support, which has happened in history,” she said. Smite 2 unveils its next 19 gods with an exquisite PowerPoint

Smite is one of the all time great tactical multiplayer games, but its successor hasn’t gotten off to the smoothest of starts. Sure, Smite 2 is currently in an early access alpha state, but with mixed Steam reviews and Valve’s own new MOBA project Deadlock stealing a lot of attention in the genre right now, things could be going better. However, Titan Forge is hard at work trying to turn things around, and what better way to generate some excitement than to reveal the next 19 gods that will be added to the game over the course of the next three months or so.
