The 4 Types of Friendships That Define Our Lives (and How to Nurture Each One)

Friendship is one of the most fulfilling relationships we experience in life, bringing joy, support, and a sense of belonging. But not all friendships are alike—each one fills a unique role that shapes who we are and who we become. Recognizing the different types of friends we have can help us appreciate each relationship for what it brings and nurture them accordingly. Here are the four types of friendships that define our lives and how to recognize and strengthen each one. 1. The Lifelong Friend: The One Who Knows Us Best Our lifelong friend is the person who’s known us through every chapter of our lives. This friendship is often rooted in childhood or early years, though it can form later too. This friend knows our quirks, has seen us grow, and remembers our shared memories like they happened yesterday. Lifelong friends are like family—they’re an anchor who reminds us of who we truly are, even when life pulls us in different directions. Signs You’ve Found Your Lifelong Friend: They know your family, your history, and even your childhood dreams. You can go months without talking, but things pick up as if no time has passed. They celebrate your successes and support you in your hardest moments, no questions asked. How to Nurture This Friendship: Check in regularly. Even if life gets busy, make a point to reconnect. A simple message or call can go a long way. Create new memories. As life changes, find ways to grow the friendship, like taking trips together or planning regular catch-ups. Celebrate milestones. Lifelong friends are often there for the big moments. Be present for theirs, and let them be there for yours. 2. The Mentor Friend: The One Who Inspires Us The mentor friend is the person who pushes us to grow and become better versions of ourselves. They might be a bit older or simply someone who has wisdom to share, and they offer guidance, motivation, and new perspectives. This friend is someone we look up to, someone who helps us see our potential and challenges us to reach for it. They’re the friend who encourages us to dream bigger and believe in ourselves. Signs You’ve Found Your Mentor Friend: They offer honest advice and aren’t afraid to give you a reality check. You admire qualities in them that you aspire to develop in yourself. You often leave conversations with them feeling inspired and motivated. How to Nurture This Friendship: Seek advice, but offer support too. Mentor friends often give more than they take, so be there for them when they need a friend. Express your appreciation. Let them know how much their guidance means to you. Engage in shared goals or projects. Mentor friends often thrive on mutual growth. Collaborating on something meaningful can deepen the connection. 3. The Adventure Friend: The One Who Expands Our World The adventure friend brings a sense of excitement and spontaneity into our lives. They’re the person you call when you want to try something new, break out of your comfort zone, or simply have a great time. Adventure friends remind us to live fully in the moment and embrace new experiences. They’re often the ones who encourage us to travel, pick up new hobbies, or say “yes” to things we wouldn’t usually consider. Signs You’ve Found Your Adventure Friend: They’re always up for an impromptu trip, new activity, or fun night out. You feel more carefree and open to possibilities when you’re with them. They inspire you to step outside your comfort zone and try new things. How to Nurture This Friendship: Plan regular adventures. Make an effort to set up outings or trips, even if it’s just a spontaneous weekend road trip. Say “yes” more often. When they invite you on an adventure, go along—it strengthens the bond and creates memories. Embrace their spontaneity. Adventure friends thrive on being in the moment, so be willing to follow their lead. 4. The Supportive Friend: The One Who’s Always There The supportive friend is your rock—the person you can rely on when life gets tough. This friend offers a listening ear, a shoulder to lean on, and unwavering support. They’re the friend who doesn’t judge or give unsolicited advice; they’re just there to hold space for you. Having a supportive friend means you have someone who accepts you as you are and who’s there for you, no matter what. Signs You’ve Found Your Supportive Friend: They’re the first person you call when you need comfort or a safe space. You feel understood, accepted, and unconditionally supported. They don’t push you to change; instead, they help you feel seen and valued. How to Nurture This Friendship: Reciprocate support. Make sure they feel they can lean on you, too. Share openly. Trust grows in a safe space, so open up and be vulnerable with them. Express gratitude. Let them know how much you appreciate their support—these friends are often the unsung heroes in our lives. Cherishing the Gift of Friendship Each of these friendships adds something unique to our lives. They remind us that we don’t have to go through life alone, and that every connection offers a new perspective, a new lesson, and a new joy. By recognizing the roles these friends play, we can appreciate each friendship for what it brings and nurture these bonds that add so much meaning to our journey. Friendship isn’t about having people who are exactly like us; it’s about finding those who help us grow, support us through ups and downs, and bring us happiness in their own unique ways. So, cherish each friendship—whether it’s a lifelong friend who’s stood by you for decades, a mentor who inspires you, an adventure buddy who broadens your horizons, or a supporter who’s there to lift you up. Life is richer with each friend who walks by our side, and by nurturing these connections, we honor the beautiful gift of friendship itself. Our Favorite Quotes on Friendship “Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, ‘What! You too? I thought I was the only one.’”                                         – C.S. Lewis “Friendship marks a life even more deeply than love. Love risks degenerating into obsession, friendship is never anything but sharing.”        – Elie Wiesel “A friend is one who overlooks your broken fence and admires the flowers in your garden.” – Unknown Why Friendship Matters: The Science Behind Our Connections Studies have shown that strong social connections can significantly boost both mental and physical health. According to research by Harvard Health, people with close friendships are less likely to experience depression and anxiety. Having good friends can even improve heart health and lower blood pressure, adding years to our lives. Long-term friendships act as anchors in our lives, reinforcing our sense of identity and continuity. Research from the University of Kansas shows that it takes around 200 hours of quality time to form a close bond, which is why lifelong friends feel more like family. They’re part of our core support system and can help reduce feelings of loneliness and stress. Mentor friends play a unique role in our lives by encouraging growth and helping us reach our potential. According to a study in The National Library of Medicine, people with mentors report higher levels of life satisfaction, purpose, and self-efficacy. These friendships help us gain new perspectives, confidence, and skills, making them invaluable for personal development. Adventure friends encourage us to step outside our comfort zones, which can build mental resilience and adaptability. The American Psychological Association notes that new experiences stimulate cognitive growth, increase resilience, and improve mental flexibility. With adventure friends, we’re more likely to embrace life’s possibilities, boosting our overall happiness and reducing stress. Supportive friends provide us with a safe, nonjudgmental space, which has proven benefits for emotional health. According to a study from UCLA, friends who offer emotional support help lower cortisol levels, reducing stress and promoting resilience. This type of friendship is essential for well-being, especially during challenging times.

EXCLUSIVE: FEMA Official Ordered Relief Workers To Skip Houses With Trump Signs

A federal disaster relief official ordered workers to bypass the homes of Donald Trump’s supporters as they surveyed damage caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida, according to internal correspondence obtained by The Daily Wire and confirmed by multiple federal employees.  A FEMA supervisor told workers in a message to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid, internal messages viewed by The Daily Wire reveal. The supervisor, Marn’i Washington, relayed this message both verbally and in a group chat used by the relief team, multiple government employees told The Daily Wire.  The government employees told The Daily Wire that at least 20 homes with Trump signs or flags were skipped from the end of October and into November due to the guidance, meaning they were not given the opportunity to qualify for FEMA assistance. Images shared with The Daily Wire show that houses were skipped over by the workers, who wrote in the government system messages such as: “Trump sign no entry per leadership.” It is unclear whether the same guidance was issued elsewhere in the country. The employees were part of a Department of Homeland Security surge capacity force team, meaning they volunteered from other DHS agencies to help an understaffed FEMA as it dealt with a second major hurricane in a span of just a few weeks. Microsoft Teams chat used by FEMA workers. “I know they’re short-staffed, I thought we could go help and make a difference,” one of the employees said. “When we got there we were told to discriminate against people. It’s almost unbelievable to think that somebody in the federal government would think that’s okay.”  The employee said it felt wrong to discriminate against Trump supporters when they were at their “most vulnerable.”  “I volunteered to help disaster victims, not discriminate against them,” the employee said. “It didn’t matter if people were black, white, Hispanic, for Trump, for Harris. Everyone deserves the same amount of help.” The guidance came as the Biden administration was criticized over its sluggish response to Hurricane Helene in rural areas across the country. In Roan Mountain, Tennessee, for example, locals told The Daily Wire it took nearly two weeks for FEMA to show up. The town is located in Carter County, which voted 81% for Trump on Tuesday.  The FEMA agents ordered not to help houses with Trump signs were operating in Highlands County, a deep-red area located in south central Florida that backed Trump by 70% on Tuesday. It was hit with tornadoes, torrential wind and rain, and flooding when Milton hit in October.  In the chat, Washington said that it would be “best practice” to “avoid homes advertising Trump,” according to photos of the messages viewed by The Daily Wire. No explanation was given for this guidance, which included other recommendations like telling the workers to “practice de-escalation and preventative measures,” and to “avoid high salt diets and coffee.” Photos from the system used by federal relief workers to track what homes they visit showed that relief workers followed Washington’s guidance. Several addresses were marked “not able to access property” with listed explanations such as: “Trump sign no entry per leadership,” “Per leadership no stop Trump flag,” “Trump sign,” and “Trump sign, no contact per leadership.” One of the homes skipped by FEMA/ FEMA app tracking what homes were visited. “If they had damage or lost power for over thirty-six hours, it was my duty to inform them of benefits to which they are entitled through FEMA,” one team member wrote in a complaint filed to DHS about the guidance.  Washington is the Disaster Survivor Assistance crew leader for Highland County, a leadership chart reviewed by The Daily Wire shows. She did not respond to multiple phone calls or an email seeking comment on the guidance.  Chad Hershey, Washington’s FEMA supervisor, told The Daily Wire that the agency is looking into the situation. “We are aware of it and we are taking proper action in this situation currently,” Hershey said.  Pressed to confirm the messages, Hershey said: “We are aware of it and we are taking action at this moment regarding the situation that you’re talking about.”  FEMA leadership flowchart identifying Marn’i Washington as head of Highlands crew / The Daily Wire Hershey added that FEMA would be providing a fuller statement though none was yet provided by press time. He said that officials in Washington, D.C., would be reaching out to The Daily Wire. The guidance was first issued by Washington verbally on October 22, and again in the group chat on October 27, according to one of the federal employees. The Trump-related instructions were deleted from the chat a few days later, photos of the chat reviewed by The Daily Wire show. By October 30, Washington had started walking back the instructions about skipping Trump supporters’ homes, one of the federal employees told The Daily Wire. The relief workers said Washington denied that homes were being skipped after a meeting with other FEMA administrators.  The employees say that Washington has not been punished for the guidance, but has been shifted to another county in Florida. The whistleblower complaint says that the Trump guidance further undermines trust in FEMA and its response to the hurricanes.  “This behavior raises significant concerns of discrimination against United States citizens because of their political views,” a copy of the complaint obtained by The Daily Wire said. “These actions not only undermine the integrity of our agency and create a hostile work environment for those who may hold differing political beliefs but they also threaten the very democracy of our country.”

Celebrity Endorsements Are Dead, And Kamala Proved It

Celebrity Endorsements Are Dead, And Kamala Proved It

There was a mildly successful commercial back in 2016 where LeBron James was promoting Sprite. He keeps looking into the camera and saying, “I won’t tell you to drink a Sprite.” It’s supposed to be engaging and funny because you see, normally, when celebrities appear in advertisements, they tell you to buy a product. But here you had LeBron James, appearing in a Sprite commercial, refusing to endorse Sprite. It really subverted everyone’s expectations. Reverse psychology like this has become popular in advertising because the typical direct, straightforward celebrity endorsement doesn’t have the same impact that it once did. This is also why the idea of “reverse endorsements” has become a thing. This is when a company puts a celebrity on its board of directors to make them seem really invested in the company, when it’s basically a no-show job. Derek Jeter had a “reverse endorsement” deal with a company called RevolutionWear, that makes some kind of high-tech underwear. It all fell apart and ended in lawsuits when the company collapsed, because the world of high-tech underwear is apparently extremely cutthroat. But the point is, this underwear company thought they’d get more value out of presenting Derek Jeter as a “director” of the company, rather than just going with the normal, direct celebrity endorsement. There are about a million other examples of this, because the memo has gone out. In the entertainment world, traditional celebrity endorsements aren’t as interesting as they used to be. If you want a celebrity endorsement to have an impact, you have to get creative with it. And even then, most people probably still won’t care. WATCH: The Matt Walsh Show The only people who haven’t gotten this memo are in politics. Political endorsements by celebrities are all the same. They’re unconvincing, uncreative and patronizing. And yet for some reason, pundits and political strategists on the Left genuinely believe that these endorsements are game-changing. They think that, once the normal person hears one of these endorsements, they undergo a form of mind control where they’re hopeless to resist. I’ve shared part of this clip before, but it’s worth seeing again because it may be the single best reaction video from MSNBC after they realized Trump was winning. This is Joy Reid trying to process how Donald Trump could have possibly defeated Kamala Harris. After all, Kamala Harris ran a “flawless campaign.” And as evidence of the proposition that Kamala Harris ran a “flawless campaign,” Joy Reid cites all of Kamala Harris’ celebrity endorsements. This is footage that belongs in a museum for future historians studying the downfall of the Democrat Party and the corporate press. Watch: If you still haven't figured out the problem with the legacy media, this comment by Joy Ann Reid should set you straight. Reid says Harris ran a "flawless" campaign to the point that Beyonce, Taylor Swift, and "even" Queen Latifah who never endorses anyone, endorsed Harris. pic.twitter.com/N8IwIplhKn — Rupa Subramanya (@rupasubramanya) November 6, 2024 There’s a lot to consider in that clip, but really at this point you can’t be mad at Joy Reid. Everyone knows she is what we may call, politely, a very special person. What’s kind of remarkable is that everyone else on the panel — people who are extremely partisan, but not clinically insane — just nod along when she makes this claim. She’s suggesting that a political endorsement by Queen Latifah is so rare and enigmatic that, if a candidate should ever obtain it, then that candidate must be blessed by the gods. That candidate would be destined to win. I guess that makes sense. She is royalty after all. But that was a moment that should’ve been a bridge too far, even for an MSNBC panel. For one thing, the premise isn’t even true. We’re talking about the same “Queen Latifah” who performed at Obama’s inauguration after telling people to vote for hope and change. And then she did a skit with Kamala Harris just a few months ago at the “NAACP Image Awards,” telling everyone to register to vote because otherwise Trump will win. Yes, this is the Queen Latifah that supposedly never gets involved in politics. But on top of that, even if we pretend Queen Latifah never gets involved in politics, the idea that her endorsement will sway anyone — or that it’s a sign of a “flawless campaign” — suggests that Democrats are suffering from a level of delusion that is truly unprecedented. And that becomes even more apparent when you look at this vaunted Queen Latifah endorsement they’re talking about. She just sits in a chair and, instead of talking about makeup, she reads off some talking points from Kamala Harris’ campaign. Watch: Today, so much is on the line. On one hand, we have HIM, a felon, a comfortable liar, an impeached president, a misogynist, and a non-leader who doesn’t care about anyone, but the top 1%…which excludes over 300M Americans. And on the other hand, we have HER, Kamala Harris, a… pic.twitter.com/6EhUwaa2z9 — Queen Latifah (@IAMQUEENLATIFAH) November 5, 2024   One of the many amusing things about this video is the comments section, and how it differs depending on the platform. If you go on Instagram, a lot of the comments are pretty supportive. There’s people posting heart emojis everywhere, saying it’s a powerful message, and how Queen Latifah is their hero and so on. One person wrote, “I’m going to always love you Queen Latifah ! Never change.” And then you go on X, and it’s a completely different scenario. It’s like stepping out of a country club and into the Vietnam War. The top comment is, “Did you go to the Diddy parties too?” The next one is, “How much were you paid?” And then there’s, “Another weak man for Kamala.” It’s just brutal, if also hilarious, and completely justified. It’s yet another reason the Left wants to destroy X. People on X generally reflect what’s going on in the country. But if you spend all your time on Reddit or Instagram, you might end up like Joy Reid. You might have thought Kamala Harris had this in the bag. After all, Queen Latifah’s on her side, and everyone else on the platform loves it. And then you go on X and everyone’s wondering how much she was paid. Now, to be clear, I’m not saying Queen Latifah was paid for this endorsement. I would never suggest such a thing. But in general, it is worth noting that the Kamala Harris campaign raised something like $1 billion dollars, and they ended the campaign in debt by $20 million dollars. They had $120 million in the bank just a month ago, and now they’re in the red. And a lot of that money probably did go to some celebrity performances, like the one Megan Thee Stallion did at a Kamala rally. But in any event, it’s clear that this was a horribly managed campaign in every respect. So it’s not exactly unthinkable that these people truly thought an endorsement by Queen Latifah would help them win. They really seemed to think that people wanted to see stuff like this. That would explain why they courted the endorsement of Cardi B, who’s so illiterate that it actually caused problems for the campaign. Mid-endorsement, her teleprompter went out, so she couldn’t say anything until someone ran up with a phone containing her prepared statement. Watch: ??BREAKING: Rapper Cardi B’s teleprompter broke when she took the stage at Kamala Harris rally in Wisconsin and Cardi had to wait in front of a live audience for over a minute until a stranger brought her a cell phone with a script. This tells you everything you need to know. pic.twitter.com/kKL7q1lw35 — Dom Lucre | Breaker of Narratives (@dom_lucre) November 2, 2024 You have to wonder, again, who this is supposed to impress. Even if she had read all of that perfectly, who exactly is supposed to care about this? What demographic are they targeting? Whatever they were going for, it didn’t work. Pretty much the only demographic group that Kamala Harris won on Tuesday, according to exit polls, was the same group Joy Reid belongs to: black women. She won by something like 92%. It’s a two-percent improvement from Joe Biden two years ago. But both of these numbers are actually low, by Democrats’ standards. Obama got more than 95% of the vote from black women. Hillary Clinton got 94%. So if anything, there’s some evidence that endorsements like this aren’t really helping, even among Democrats’ most loyal constituency. The Guardian certainly seems to think there’s a good chance these endorsements aren’t helping anywhere. They just ran a big article that explores the question of why all these celebrities, from Bruce Springsteen to George Clooney to Taylor Swift, may have actually been counterproductive: A poll from YouGov shortly after [Taylor] Swift’s endorsement found that only 8% of voters would be ‘somewhat’ or ‘much more’ likely to vote for Harris – with a surprising 20% saying the endorsement actually made them less likely to vote for her. Yes, as we talked about at the time, Taylor Swift’s endorsement might have made people less likely to support Kamala Harris. And there’s evidence this took the Harris campaign by surprise.  The article also states: Back in July, Charli xcx posted a three-word tweet that some commentators thought might help swing the US election. Arriving the day after Kamala Harris announced her bid for the presidency, Charli’s tweet said simply: ‘Kamala IS Brat.’ It was a reference to Charli’s latest album, Brat, which had dominated the pop cultural landscape … The overall meaning was clear: Kamala was the presidential candidate with the most energy and authenticity. …. The Harris campaign leaned into the endorsement, changing the backdrop of its official X page to the same garish green colour used on the record’s sleeve. … Yet as the dust settles on an extremely depressing election result, it appears clear that not only did Charli xcx’s tweet have no meaningful impact on the election result, nor did the endorsement of any celebrity. This was a big problem for Kamala because, to the extent she had a campaign strategy at all, it hinged almost entirely on endorsements. Kamala was endorsed by all of the most famous celebrities in Hollywood and the music industry. It paid off with a crushing and historic defeat. Why might that be? Unlike the panel on MSNBC, I’ll answer that question. For one thing, as I mentioned earlier, celebrity endorsements in general aren’t that effective anymore. But they’re particularly ineffective right now, when inflation is high and people are struggling to afford essentials. In an economic environment like that, Americans aren’t particularly interested in sermons from obscenely wealthy entertainers — not that they’re all that interested even in a good economy. MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ The other problem is that the power of celebrity in general has been massively watered down in recent years. There are just so many of them that even the biggest ones (like Taylor Swift or Beyonce) don’t have the kind of culture-changing impact that Michael Jackson or Elvis had decades ago. When a woman can become famous by saying “Hawk Tuah,” the whole concept of a “celebrity” loses a lot of its luster.  This has been obvious to everyone for some time, which is why a lot of celebrities have found new ways to endorse products, like those “reverse endorsement” deals that I mentioned. But apparently, it wasn’t obvious to the Kamala Harris campaign. They believed, in all seriousness, that amassing a bunch of these vapid, cookie-cutter endorsements would win them the election. They thought Americans cared so little about substance that they’d vote for a candidate who can barely articulate a coherent thought, all because of the endorsements of some other morons who also can’t articulate coherent thoughts. After what happened on Tuesday, there’s no one — except maybe MSNBC anchors — who seriously thinks that these celebrities have any sway over anyone anymore.

Team Trump Gets Ready To Take Over

I am unaccustomed to this level of optimism. The bottom line is: I’m optimistic because President Trump keeps making good decisions. We were told Donald Trump was going to come into office and immediately staff up complete idiots around him. It’s almost as though those were myths, all untrue — though we were told that by the most intelligent people. As they said, Trump had fired people like General James Mattis. After all, Trump had been at odds with so many members of his prior administration, there would be no one left. He would be forced to dip into the bottom of the barrel, they said. But thus far, I see precisely zero evidence that is the case. The people who are apparently doing the staffing on a wide variety of issues include people like the vice president of the United States elect, JD Vance. Trump-world insiders like Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Susie Wiles are on that team. Brian Hook, who is involved in foreign policy, is as well. In other words, the people who are going to go into the Trump administration are not going to be jokers. They are going to be very serious people with very serious portfolios. Late yesterday, Donald Trump announced he would be tapping his campaign manager, Susie Wiles, as the White House chief of staff. Wiles, a very serious person, is well-respected on all sides of the political spectrum inside the Republican Party. Everyone from Jeb Bush all the way to Donald Trump has endorsed Wiles as chief of staff. She’s a very serious politico. She has worked not only with Trump, but with Rick Scott when he was governor of Florida and with Governor Ron DeSantis when he was running for governor of Florida. Then she went back into the Trump campaign. She is wily, savvy, and knife-sharp. She is an exceptionally solid political fighter. The Wall Street Journal article covering Trump’s announcement of White House chief of staff, reads, “Susie Wiles, who led Donald Trump’s presidential run, will become his White House chief of staff when he retakes the presidency next year, the campaign said Thursday, making her the first woman to hold that role in U.S. history.” Remember when, according to Mark Cuban, Trump wouldn’t surround himself with strong women? Yet Wiles is, indeed, a strong woman. Trump said in a statement, “Susie Wiles just helped me achieve one of the greatest political victories in American history, and was an integral part of both my 2016 and 2020 successful campaigns. Susie is tough, smart, innovative, and is universally admired and respected. Susie will continue to work tirelessly to Make America Great Again. It is a well deserved honor to have Susie as the first-ever female Chief of Staff in United States history. I have no doubt that she will make our country proud.” WATCH: The Ben Shapiro Show Wiles keeps her cards real close to the vest. She is incredibly savvy, and she is not the type of person who is going to take kindly to people who do not have Team Trump’s best interests at heart. So she is an excellent pick by President Trump. And again, she’s well respected on pretty much every side of the Republican political spectrum. Now, the question as to how she negotiates in Congress is still open. Usually the chief of staff has a lot of congressional negotiations. The good news for her is that while she doesn’t have tons of experience at doing that — because again, she was campaign manager in 2016 and 2020 in part, and she didn’t really involve herself in legislative affairs — she will be negotiating with Mike Johnson in the House. In the Senate, the Senate leadership battle is still wide open at this point. There’s a lot of speculation about who is going to take over as the Senate majority leader because Mitch McConnell has announced he’s going to step down. There are some rumors that Rick Scott, for example, is trying to run for it. There are more than rumors, he does want the Senate majority leadership position. There are some members of the base who are very hot on Scott, so he’s a possibility. John Thune is also a very solid possibility. Most of the more established members of the U.S. Senate are probably going to back Thune or John Cornyn. Honestly, any of those people will be perfectly capable of negotiating with President Trump and will do a fine job in that role. Meanwhile, President-elect Trump and his senior advisers are privately assembling short lists of candidates for top jobs in the incoming administration. Apparently, Trump’s transition team, according to the Wall Street Journal, is being “led by co-chair Howard Lutnick, who is overseeing personnel” and “has put together spreadsheets with names for the former president to consider.” Among the people who are being considered for national security adviser is Richard Grenell. We all know him as Trump’s former ambassador to Germany and acting director of national intelligence. Grenell would do an amazing job in that role. The Wall Street Journal goes on: “Other potential candidates include Keith Kellogg, an octogenarian, retired three star Army general and former national security advisor to vice President Mike Pence; former Defense Department official Elbridge Colby; and Robert O’Brien, who served as the last of four national security advisers during Trump’s first term.” Some of the people mentioned for secretary of the treasury include “Key Square Group founder Scott Bessent, and billionaire investor John Paulson.” A few of the possibilities mentioned for secretary of state are Senator Bill Hagerty of Tennessee, as well as Senator Marco Rubio of Florida. Both of those would be excellent picks. Other potential candidates include O’Brien, Grenell, and former senior State Department official Brian Hook, who is largely seen as the person compiling lists on who precisely should go into the foreign policy establishment. Hook has been speaking publicly about what the administration’s Iran policy is, and it is already bearing fruit. They haven’t even taken office yet and action is already happening to bring down conflicts in the Middle East. As far as secretary of defense, some of the names that have been thrown out are Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, who Trump acknowledged in his victory speech in Florida Wednesday morning. Republican Representative John Ratcliffe, who has served as Trump’s director of national intelligence, is being put forward as a candidate as head of the Department of Defense or CIA. Mike Waltz, a congressman from Florida, is being considered as a possible DOD leader. For Homeland Security, Chad Wolf’s and Tom Homan’s names are being mentioned, both of whom would be great. The bottom line is: All of these names would be not just acceptable, but also excellent. Furthermore, the markets are picking up on this, and “Washington’s open for business,” as Axios puts it. Marc Andreessen, an investor who backed President Trump in this race, tweeted out this morning that he believes that we are going to be seeing unprecedented economic growth. He says, “America is an economic coiled spring. We should be growing at least 4% annually and ideally 6-8%+. Growth has been brutally suppressed since before I was born. But there is so much to build. And the payoff for all Americans will be incredible.” That is the mood in the business community. As Axios reports, “Buckle up. President-elect Trump plans fast action on a business-friendly agenda of tax cuts, deregulation and expanded energy production, his advisers tell us.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ This all has a downward effect on inflation, because with more productivity comes more supply which then keeps up with demand; then, prices drop. Deregulation means more investment, it means economic growth, it means more innovation. “Trump plans to load his White House and Cabinet with business- and tech-friendly executives, and stretch the powers of the presidency to force quick changes,” Axios writes. “Trump advisers believe in retrospect that they wasted early opportunities in his first term” because they did not know how to staff. This is the nice thing for Trump’s second term. They know exactly who they have to fire. Trump is going to take office with a triumvirate. He’ll have the House and the Senate. He’s going to fill his top ranks with actual business leaders. The courts and leaders are going to support him. The people picking staff include Elon Musk, Marc Andreessen, David Sacks, and Joe Lonsdale. What a team that’s going to be. You want to talk about growing the economy? You want to talk about a productivity explosion? You want to talk about people who know how to build businesses and know how markets work? You’re not going to do better than that group of people.

Charlamagne Tha God Questions Whether Dems Lied About Trump Threat

Radio host Charlamagne tha God questioned whether Vice President Kamala Harris and other Democrats lied about the threat President-elect Donald Trump was to so-called “democracy.” During his radio show “The Breakfast Club” on Friday, the host said he was having trouble squaring the comments about Trump being a “fascist” and “Hitler” by liberals before the results of the 2024 election. “I will say this: I’m glad everybody’s having a sense of optimism because the reality is we have no choice, because we’re here now,” Charlamagne said. “Donald J. Trump is going to be the 47th president of the United States of America, like it or not, and we all hope for the best for this country. That’s all we can do.” “But don’t y’all find it strange that now that he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy?” he added. “They’re not calling him a fascist. I mean, damn, on Monday, they was just calling him that.” Charlamagne: “Don’t y’all find it strange that now that he’s won, they’re not calling him a threat to democracy? They’re not calling him a fascist … I would think that, if you really believe that, then somebody’s speech would be about how America effed up and how things are… pic.twitter.com/q0KJplqZUO — Jason Cohen ?? (@JasonJournoDC) November 8, 2024 “I would think that, you know, if you really believe that, then somebody’s speech would be about how America effed up and how things are about to be really bad,” the host continued. “It just makes you wonder how much of it did they really believe, or how much of it was just politics. That’s all.” Charlamagne’s comments were in reference to what Harris and Democrats like President Joe Biden have said after she conceded the election. MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ The VP said she had called Trump to congratulate him on the results and told her supporters that “we must accept the results of this election.” “I am so proud of the race we ran and the way we ran it,” Harris told the crowd. “Over the 107 days of this campaign, we have been intentional about building community and building coalitions, bringing people together from every walk of life and background — united by love of country.” “The outcome of this election is not what we wanted, not what we fought for, not voted for, but hear me when I say … the light of American’s promise will always burn bright as long as we never give up and as long as we keep fighting,” she added. On Thursday, Biden spoke from the White House and said he, too, had called Trump and congratulated him on his victory. “For over 200 years, America has carried on the greatest experiment in self-government in the history of the world,” Biden said. “That’s not hyperbole, that’s a fact.” “I assured him that I direct my entire administration to work with his team to ensure a peaceful and orderly transition,” he added. “On January 20, we’ll have a peaceful transfer of power here in America.”

Donny’s father met his wife, Olive, at a military base during his service, a touching narrative that became part of the family’s life story. The stories passed down have instilled in Donny a deep respect for veterans, shaping his views and contributions towards this observance. In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Donny stressed that veterans and active service members are the reason “we have a great country.” This sentiment is fueled by his familial connections and his belief in the safety and security that veterans provide. His father’s experience during the war continues to inspire Donny to honor and respect those who have served. Continuing a Legacy in Music Donny Osmond began his musical journey at a young age with “The Osmonds.” Over the years, his career evolved, and now he captivates audiences with a solo residency at Harrah’s Showroom in Las Vegas. Princess Charlotte’s Reaction To Prince William’s Beard Was Completely Unexpected

When Prince William debuted his facial hair earlier this year, many women swooned. They felt the scruffy look suited the future king and gave him a mysterious edge. Unfortunately for him, not everyone agreed. Prince William shared that his young daughter, Princess Charlotte, did not approve of her daddy’s new look. In fact, it caused quite an emotional response for the 9-year-old. @fabulousmag Prince William’s new beard has everyone talking! Is it a keeper or does it need to go? #beard #princewilliam #royalhigh #fab ♬ original sound – Fabulous Prince William Said Prince Charlotte’s Heart Broke When She Saw His Beard The father of three told the media during a visit to Cape Town, South Africa, that the first time he grew his facial hair, his daughter hated it. “Well, Charlotte didn’t like it the first time. I got floods of tears. The first one, I got tears, so I had to shave it off,” he said. But it seems Prince William liked it and tried again to get Princess Charlotte’s approval. “Then I grew it back. I thought, hang on a second, and I convinced her it was going to be okay,” William said. Per People, a reporter in the room told Willam that the beard made him appear more relaxed. The comment struck him as the family faced many challenges the past year with health struggles. Both Princess Kate and King Charles were diagnosed with cancer. “It’s interesting you say that because I couldn’t be less relaxed this year. So it’s very interesting you’re all seeing that,” he said. If there is one thing about the royal family, they do their best to spend time together. Both Prince William and his wife, Princess Kate, focus their efforts on Princess Charlotte and her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis. “I enjoy my work, and I enjoy pacing myself and keeping sure that I have got time for my family too,” he said.  This story’s featured image is by Lorna Roberts via Shutterstock.
