Donald Trump Wins!
Woo hoo! Donald Trump won and is the 47th President to be!
Winning is better than losing. Winning means power. Winning means a flood of endorphins. Winning boosts a man’s testosterone. Winning means winning policies. Winning bigly means a total decimation of the resistance among one’s own side. There are just so many good things about winning. In a two-party system, winning is everything. Just ask Barack Obama who blithely said, “I won. Elections have consequences.”
Yes, yes they do.
Welcome to the new reality, America and the world. Donald Trump didn’t just win, he won in a wipeout. He won the popular vote. He won the electoral vote. His coattails created an overwhelming Senate majority (sorry Mitch McConnell, it’s going to be difficult for you to play spoiler now). His coattails kept the House majority.
Who helped Donald Trump win? You might call it the Neo Rainbow Coalition. No, not the Black Panthers of yore, but hispanic voters, Muslims, Jews, young people, black men, a majority of Catholics, and the only age bracket majority: Generation X form the Trump coalition. Support among college-educated white people slipped. The burbs are going purple. Working class people of all colors, though, support Donald Trump.
This is bad news for Democrats. Their radicalism has remade the way some traditionally Democrat enclaves have voted, and possibly, for. a good long time.
Other winners:
J.D. Vance
J.D. Vance was portrayed as a terrible choice. This conventional wisdom mystified this writer, but it was one of those ideas that for a couple weeks, took root. But Vance did himself many favors by destroying his opposition in the debate and then leveling every media personality who tried to corner him. He was an unambiguously great choice as chief defender of Donald Trump and will serve as an able V.P. Here’s hoping that Trump gives him a lot of responsibility.
Elon Musk

Had Trump lost, Elon Musk may well have lost his companies. The Feds are on him because they’re all Democrats and hate free speech and innovation. Between nuisance suits and hyper-regulation imposed by the vast administrative state, they desired to hamstring or worse, ruin Musk’s endeavors. Now, he’ll be free to build and if he’s part of the administration, dismantle the governing bodies tormenting Americans like him.
The J-6’ers
Here’s hoping that these poor people are pardoned on Day One. Every single one of them. Countless lives have been ruined by over-prosecution, wrongful prosecution, biased venues, over-charging, and pure political malice on the part of Democrats. It is evil what has been done to these people. They can’t get those years or the thousands they spent defending themselves back, but they can go forward in peace.
The Rule of Law
Like so much of what comes out of Democrats collective pie holes, they project their own actions onto everyone else. Using lawfare, the Department of Justice and corrupt prosecutors in states across the country, Democrats subverted Democracy by abusing the legal system to punish their political enemy, Donald Trump. Trump and his family were subjected to hundreds of hours of testimony and depositions. They were robbed of millions of dollars to defend themselves all because Democrats believed they were righteous in using any means necessary to stop their opponent. In so doing, they undermined the law. That stops with the Trump presidency.
Peace
Warmongers around the world are in trouble. Trump promises to make it stop. It feels like the kids have been destroying the house while dad has been at work and he’s coming home. Everyone is going to have to straighten up and stop the nonsensical killing. Will the Abraham Accords come back? Here’s hoping. Will Russia and Ukraine stop the needless slaughter? Here’s hoping. Will Israel end her neighbors settle down? Here’s hoping. The world has been teetering on the edge of World War III. Let’s hope Trump can stabilize it and stop it.
The Stock Market
The stock market is already soaring on the Trump win. Business in America and around the world is back, baby, and people are putting their money where their votes are. The stock market was already gaining value but the win has shot stocks skyward.
And then there are the losers. A few words about them:
Nancy Pelosi
In one of her final acts of duplicity and bad judgment, Nancy Pelosi subverted the will of her party and strong-armed Joe Biden out of running for President thus installing fellow California radical Kamala Harris. Her ploy failed. Now, Nancy will still be in the minority and have to deal with an overhauled GOP Senate. Pelosi is a wily old bird, but this bird is now caged. She can seek solace in her stock portfolio.
Kamala Harris
She was a terrible Vice President. She’s dumb. She’s inarticulate. She managed to insult nearly everyone with her stupidity. She couldn’t conduct an interview. She never made sense. She was an awful, no-good candidate. The Democrats are lucky to have this painfully shrill political no-talent gone.
Never Trumpers
If there’s a more wearisome political movement than the NeverTrumpers, it’s difficult to think of it. Good grief! These people are a total beatdown. They are Democrats now, once and for all. They staked their good names and reputation on Joe Biden who is the only politician in America to make Jimmy Carter look effective. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of big mouths.
The Bureaucracy
The Biden administration knows which side of their bread is buttered and who does the buttering and so the Inflation Reduction Act (is there a more Orwellian name?) helped juice up Federal employees pay and the agencies ability to hire people. Trump and his team are going to have to undo this massive increase. Here’s hoping that Elon and his staff can systematically destroy the system from within.
The Elites
Whether they’re running the government, higher ed, Hollywood, the World Economic Forum, etc., the elites are in trouble. They made deals and all those deals are now moot. A marauding elephant just got elected President of the United States. Their misery at facing the consequences of their meddling is delicious to think about and calls to mind the Mike Tyson quote, “Everybody has a plan, till they get punched in the face.” The elites just got punched in the face.
The Media
More than any other group, the media loses with a Trump win. Their very existence is an in-kind contribution to Kamala Harris. The sheer force of will of the American people to ignore these biased bigots is amazing. By all accounts, anyone watching network or cable news would vote Kamala. The news casts were a constant stream of anti-Trump bile. And still, the American people voted for Donald Trump. The media lost their credibility and lost their power to sway anything. Americans don’t trust them. They deserved to lose. Watching their oblivious comments and blank stares tonight was gratifying.
Winning is better than losing. There will be lots of deconstruction of this election. There are a lot more questions that need to be answered as the data gets crunched. With the vote getting stats, where did millions of voters go between 2020 and 2024? Who stayed home? How can any of this be explained? Hopefully, Americans will get lots of answers to lots of questions. The great thing is, it’s easier to find those answers when you win. And Donald Trump won the presidency. He won bigly.
