Pumpkin French Toast Casserole

This Pumpkin French Toast Casserole boasts a moist crumb, tons of pumpkin, and a crispy streusel topping. It’s the perfect way to start the morning on weekends and holidays. Pumpkins get to shine once a year, and we’re making the most of it with this Pumpkin French Toast Casserole! Video: Watch us Make This Recipe Why This Recipe Stands Out Our original Baked French Toast Casserole is such an enormous hit that we decided to pumpkin-fy it.  One can’t go wrong in taking something already 100% awesome and adding seasonally-fueled ingredients to it. Here’s why we love this recipe: All the Autumn Flavors: Just like these Pumpkin Energy Balls, this Pumpkin French Toast Casserole is packed with comforting fall spices, pumpkin puree, and pepitas. Amazing Streusel Topping: The marvelous streusel topping is out-of-this-world delicious. Buttery with brown sugar, pecans, and pepitas – such crunchy, sweet splendor! Perfect French Toast Texture: This French toast casserole turns out unbelievably moist and tender thanks to the pumpkin and the kind of bread we use. Can Be Made In Advance: Pumpkin French Toast Casserole can be assembled the night before, making it the perfect meal-prep dish. Key Recipe Ingredients Eggs – Eggs work a beautiful golden color into the French toast and hold everything together. Pumpkin Puree – Pure Pumpkin Puree (different from pumpkin pie filling) not only adds its signature fall flair, but also helps make our French toast extra tender. Spices – Cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg add the perfect dose of warm, comforting flavors and heavenly smells. Bread – Say no to generic, airy sandwich bread.  For baked French toast, the bread needs to be dense enough to soak up all the custard. We like sturdy French Bread. Streusel Topping – Brown sugar, pecans, pepitas (pumpkin seeds), butter, and cinnamon combine to make a rich, crispy topping for Pumpkin French Toast Casserole. Substitutions And Variations Here’s some of our favorite variations to Pumpkin French Toast Casserole: Find your Favorite Toast: Feel free to play around with the kinds of bread you use in this recipe. We recommend French bread, brioche, sourdough, challah, or Texas Toast like we use in this recipe for The Best French Toast Casserole. Add Some Berries: Seeing this recipe in the summer? Swap out the fall ingredients for fresh berries and cream cheese like we do in this Strawberry Cream Cheese French Toast Bake. Double the Recipe: This recipe serves about 12. To make twice as much, use a 13×9 baking dish and double the ingredients. Bake time will be approximately 5-10 minutes longer. Step-By-Step Recipe Instructions Combine all streusel ingredients in a bowl and chill in the fridge. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, vanilla, sugar, salt, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg; whisk in pumpkin until smooth. Add bread cubes to pumpkin mixture and gently toss to fully coat. Transfer bread and pumpkin mixture to a buttered 8×8 baking dish and top with chilled streusel. Bake for 40-45 minutes at 350F. Let stand at room temperature for 10 minutes before serving with maple syrup. Enjoy! For full list of ingredients and instructions, see recipe card below. How To Prep Ahead Like we mentioned earlier, Pumpkin French Toast Casserole is a great make-ahead holiday meal! Here’s how we do it: Chill Casserole Overnight: The entire casserole can be assembled the night before and chilled in the fridge till the next morning. But, we do recommend holding off on adding the streusel topping until right before you bake. Make the Topping In Advance: The streusel topping can be mixed several days in advance and stored in the fridge until you’re ready to bake. Keep Leftovers: Another way we like to meal-prep this casserole is by completely baking it and letting it cool. Then, you can either store it in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze it for up to 3 months. What To Serve With Pumpkin French Toast Casserole Eggs This Mini Crustless Quiche is great served with French toast casserole and can also be made in advance. Another mouthwatering savory dish to serve for brunch is this no fuss Eggs Benedict Casserole. We also love keeping things simple with Easy Poached Eggs and Easy Boiled Eggs. Oatmeal For another sweet ad starchy brunch side, check out this delicious Baked Oatmeal! Serve these Chewy Apple Oatmeal Bars alongside Pumpkin French Toast for a truly scrumptious fall breakfast. Potatoes This Cheesy Tater Tot Breakfast Casserole is the perfect savory side to balance out this sweet dish. Cheesy Potato Breakfast Casserole is also always a hit in our house. We don’t just save these Garlic Herb Roasted Potatoes for dinner. They’re also a great brunch side! Commonly Asked Questions Why don’t you use any milk in this baked French toast recipe? While we usually use some milk or cream cheese in French toast casseroles, we find that the pumpkin puree really does the job at leaving our French toast ultra-moist without becoming soggy. So, in this case, we find it’s best to just stick with the eggs and pumpkin. What qualities make a good bread for French toast casserole? For French toast casserole, you’ll want a bread that’s sturdy and durable. While regular soft, white bread will work fine for normal French toast, you want something that will really hold up and absorb all the moisture when making it baked. Slightly stale bread is actually great for this! For some specific bread suggestions, check out the Substitutions and Variations section above or check out this French toast article from Food Network. How long should I let the bread soak for Pumpkin French Toast Casserole? As long as you thoroughly toss the bread in the pumpkin mixture, you shouldn’t need to let it sit at all, since it is a thicker mixture. However, you can totally let it sit in the fridge overnight for a super easy breakfast or brunch the next morning. What do I do if the top of my casserole starts browning too much? If the top of your French toast casserole starts looking too dark while it’s still cooking, tent some foil over it. We’d still take the foil off in the end to really let the top crisp, but this will allow the center to catch up on cooking while keeping the top from getting too crisp. As long as your bread is nice and dense, it will soak up beautifully. *It’s easiest to mix streusel with clean hands or disposable gloves, but don’t overwork the mixture.  Feel free to sprinkle powdered sugar on top of your baked pumpkin French toast, along with a drizzle of maple syrup. Fox News: Kamala Harris Needs 700,000 Votes In Philadelphia To Take Pennsylvania

Could Pennsylvania be out of reach for Kamala Harris? Fox News anchor John Roberts analyzed the voting tally in Pennsylvania and focused on Philadelphia County. “There are estimates that because of the depressed early vote for Democrats that Kamala Harris is going to need to pull 700,000 votes here in Philadelphia in order to pull out a win,” Roberts said. Roberts reviewed the voting tallies in Philadelphia for the 2016 and 2020 presidential elections. Clinton got 560,542 votes in Philadelphia. Biden got 603,790 votes in Philadelphia. “So she’s gonna need another 100,000 votes here in Philadelphia to hit that 700,000 margin,” Roberts said. Because we closed the gap significantly w/ VBM, the Dems have NO choice but to physically turn out their voters. Republicans should NOT get complacent or think we have this in the bag. The Dems have a machine in Philly. We need to turn out in FORCE,” Sean Parnell commented. John Roberts is right. The Dems have a machine in Philly. We need to turn out in FORCE. https://t.co/EyDoNinpwf — Sean Parnell (@SeanParnellUSA) November 5, 2024 Political analyst Van Jones previously said on CNN he was “nervous and worried” about Harris’ chances in Pennsylvania. “Philadelphia is where we’ve gotta run up a big margin, but Philly overall has been trending down, not in terms of going toward the Republicans, just people not getting out to vote,” Jones said. “And so you got people out there like Pastor Carl Day, who’s got a bunch of young men with him knockin’ on doors, trying to get people to come out. It’s a bigger, tougher fight in Philly to get that vote count up than it has been in the past. That has me worried,” he added. WATCH: NEW: CNN's Van Jones says he is "nervous and worried" about Kamala Harris' chances in Pennsylvania. "Nothing is making me happy about Pennsylvania." Jones specifically pointed to poor Philadelphia turnout for Democrats and concerns over Jewish voters. Trump and Harris are in a deadlocked tie in the Keystone State, according to the final New York Times/Siena poll. Jones also fretted about how Harris will perform among Jewish voters in Pennsylvania, particularly in Philadelphia where he said President Biden claimed 70% of the pivotal Jewish vote in 2020. “Some polls show Kamala at 50-50,” he said. “That is 70,000 votes we bled away, that is the margin for victory,” Jones said. Fellow CNN commentator Scott Jennings predicted that whichever candidate wins Pennsylvania will be in the White House in January. In its no toss-up map, RealClearPolitics projects Donald Trump to win Pennsylvania. Trump leads the polling data aggregator’s Electoral College projection 287-251. The map has Trump taking Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. It shows Harris taking Michigan and Wisconsin. FROM NOAH: I Voted Today For One Thing…Women’s Rights! (READ ARTICLE)

Have you heard of the “single issue voter”? It’s the person who doesn’t care about anything else, they vote on only one issue above all else. Well I’d like to introduce you to the “single issue party” — meet the Democrats. They literally only have one issue, and it’s not even a good one: Abortion. Imagine being so intellectually devoid of any actual policy ideas and so ethically challenged that the sole issue of your party is the right to kill a baby in the womb. And yet that’s what we have in this Election. In the past, Democrats used to have some decent policy platforms: Ending War, Supporting the Working Class, Being a Voice For the Little People…. But they’ve ceded all of that ground to MAGA. MAGA now owns all of those policies, plus everything else and literally the only pro-Kamala posts I’m seeing today on Election Day are people bragging about how they’re voting for “Women’s Rights”. I’m sure you’ve seen a bunch of those posts…. I hate to give this any additional attention, but this one has probably gone the most viral: Looking your daughter in the eye and then voting against her rights is crazy too me — Big O (@__BigO__) November 4, 2024 Or this guy who Collin Rugg calls “Low T” crying about how he has to vote for Kamala to protect his 3 daughters: NEW: Male Kamala Harris voter starts crying on CNN, says he is voting for Harris so his daughters can have abortions. JD Vance wasn’t kidding when he said low T men lean left. CNN: Why did you vote for Harris? Man: I have 3 daughters… women’s rights is pretty important to… pic.twitter.com/g8Q6dLCZwj — Collin Rugg (@CollinRugg) November 5, 2024 And now I have an announcement…. Your truly, Noah, is joining them! That’s right, I voted today and top of my mind was voting for WOMEN’S RIGHTS! I voted for my wife, for my 3 daughters, for all the women in my life. Yes, I’m not joking. Because to paraphrase the great Ronald Reagan, I’ve noticed that all of the people Tweeting about “protecting Women’s rights” and all the people crying on camera about their wives and daughters all share one thing in common: they’ve all been born. Every wife, every daughter, every Low T man crying on camera have all already been born. And isn’t that the most important “right” of all? The right to have the chance to be born and not be murdered when you are at your absolute most defenseless point in life? So when I walked into that voting booth and cast my ballot today, I was casting a vote for every woman’s right to be born! But then I realized something….. As Democrats are prone to do, they’re always the chief Racists and chief Sexists among us. Because I realized that unlike the Democrats who seem focused only on “WOMEN’S” rights, I voted today for women AND men’s rights! Not just my daughters, but my sons!  Their right to be born too! And here’s something else….how in the world have we allowed the Democrats to frame this issue in such a twisted way? Where are all my marketers? Even the greatest marketer of all, Donald J. Trump, hasn’t been able to frame this issue correctly. How in the world did we allow the Democrats to literally frame killing a living baby in the womb as “A women’s right to choose”? That’s some of the most twisted, demonic, logic I have ever heard! Reframing “baby murder”, making it the sole issue for your party, and getting millions of women and Low T men to vote for it? Are you kidding me? I know we have the most brilliant marketers in the world in the MAGA party, time to go to work ladies and gentlemen and reframe this issue. Here’s the real issue: A Baby’s Right To LIVE > A Women’s Right To CHOOSE Choose what, anyway? Choose whether the baby lives or dies? How in the world is this even a topic up for debate? So yes, I — your humble correspondent, Noah — voted for Women’s (and Men’s) rights today! Oh, and one more thing since we’re on the topic…. I actually had two other reasons I voted for women today. The first was to make sure they could still compete in sports and not have to be injured and crushed by bio-Men with XY chromosomes: Many say “I’m voting for women’s rights for my daughter” I want my daughter to excel in her dreams and not have her spaces taken up by biological men. pic.twitter.com/M5lqZNPdRc — Nicolette- BraveTv (@NMBehm15) November 5, 2024 I support Women’s Sports! Women had much more rights 4 years ago in sports and then Biden and Kamala and the Democrats took all those rights away: I remember when women had equal opportunities four years ago. I also remember when Joe Biden abolished Title IX and signed an executive order giving men the right to take over women’s spaces and sports. Kamala wouldn’t change one thing. I’ve never felt so oppressed. pic.twitter.com/CK5nC81nPB — SULLY (@SULLY10X) November 4, 2024 And the last thing on my mind when I was voting for Donald Trump and voting to Protect Women’s Rights was the right of women to CONTINUE living even after they have been born. Because these 6 women (plus countless others) have all lost that right at the hands of violent illegal immigrants bused and flown into our country by the Biden/Harris Regime to try and get more votes: Women’s rights are on the ballot. The right to walk down the street without fear of becoming the victimized of an illegal alien. Vote accordingly. pic.twitter.com/tcmANCeJ9B — Eric Matheny (@ericmmatheny) October 31, 2024 I voted today for Women. I voted for wives, daughters, mothers, grandmothers, teenagers, college students.  Women of all ages. I want women to have the RIGHT to be born, I want them to be able to play sports fairly against other women, and I want them to not be violently killed by illegal immigrants when they’re in their teens or 20s. So join me….vote for Women. Vote for Trump!
