In the governor’s race, five voters chose Republican Kelly Ayotte, while one voter went with Democrat Joyce Craig. Dixville Notch is in the state’s 2nd Congressional District, so voters also cast ballots in that race, with four votes for Democrat Maggie Goodlander and two for Republican Lily Tang Williams. The voting process in Dixville Notch took just 10-15 minutes or so. The tradition dates back nearly 65 years, with the first documented instance occurring in Millsfield during the 1936 general election. Only two presidential candidates have secured every vote in Dixville Notch, including Richard Nixon in 1960 and Joe Biden in 2020.

The Hill reports: Vice President Harris went door-knocking in Pennsylvania one day before this year’s presidential election. Harris was in Reading, Pa., and stopped in a residential neighborhood Monday night, according to a pool report. After she made her way over a driveway, the vice president met with a family that included two parents and an adult son. “Cole, that’s our son’s name!” Harris said when shaking hands with the son, who said his name was Cole, per the pool report. Harris also posted a video on her social platform X Monday night, captioning it, “Took some time today to hear from voters in Pennsylvania and ask for their support.” “There’s still time to join us on the doors,” Harris’s post continues, with a link to a website featuring campaign events for her. In a last-minute move for the GOP, Georgia’s Supreme Court ruled that Cobb County can’t sneak in 3,000 absentee ballots after Election Day. Siding with the RNC, the Georgia Supreme Court overturned a judge’s ruling extending the deadline until Friday in Cobb County, located in suburban Atlanta. The court decided that only absentee ballots that arrive by 7 p.m. ET on Tuesday (0000 GMT Wednesday) can be counted. Civil rights groups had sued last week seeking to extend the deadline, arguing that the county violated state law by failing to promptly send out about 3,000 absentee ballots. County officials said they were overwhelmed by a surge in requests. The Republican National Committee had argued that extending the deadline would violate state law. “Election Day is Election Day – not the week after,” RNC Chair Michael Whatley wrote in a post on social media. Cobb County is a large and racially diverse area in Atlanta’s northern suburbs. The county voted for Democrat Joe Biden over Trump by 14 percentage points in the 2020 election.
