Vice President Kamala Harris entered the presidential race late and seemingly hoped to avoid scrutiny of her past positions. Without publicly disavowing her past positions on unpopular policies like banning fracking or mandatory gun buybacks, her aides insisted to media outlets that she had changed her mind on these issues. This is despite the fact that Harris herself said her “values have not changed.” But there is another list of issues that neither Harris nor her team have said she still supports. Typically Left-leaning outlet Axios published a list of such policies on Sunday, noting that “Harris is the ‘no comment’ candidate — purposely and strategically. She has calculated that it’s safer to be vague on policy matters than lampooned as a flip-flopper or left-winger.” Of course, that means voters who support her don’t have any actual clue what she actually supports – and that’s the way Harris and her campaign want it. Here’s the list of things Harris has supported in the past but has refused to say whether she still supports, per Axios: Executive actions to unilaterally give a path to citizenship to 2 million “Dreamers” — undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. Ending the death penalty on the federal level. Harris has opposed capital punishment since 2003. A mandate for automakers to only build electric or hydrogen vehicles by 2035. Executive actions to protect more than 6 million undocumented immigrants from deportation by expanding “deferred action” guidelines. Decriminalizing prostitution (“We can’t criminalize consensual behavior as long as no one is being harmed,” Harris said in 2019). Closing private, for-profit prisons, which she called “morally wrong.” Getting rid of the Senate filibuster in order to pass multitrillion-dollar Green New Deal legislation. In addition, Harris’ campaign wouldn’t tell CNN where she stood on two additional issues she held in 2019 during her first run for president: “Federal prisoners and detained immigrants obtaining taxpayer-funded gender transition surgeries” and “an open-ended pledge to ‘end’ immigration detention.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Axios also asked the Harris campaign if she still supported the following past positions, but the campaign declined to comment: Provide reparations to Black Americans because of slavery. Support for “sanctuary cities” that provide safety and refuge for undocumented immigrants. Restore voting rights for all former prisoners. Renegotiate international refugee rules to provide protections for people displaced by climate change and welcome them to the U.S. Install a climate envoy in every major embassy around the world. Issue national protections for 30% of the land and sea areas in the U.S. by 2030, which would limit drilling. Harris’ refusal to say where she is on certain issues has allowed former President Donald Trump’s campaign to tie her to President Joe Biden, whom Harris replaced as the Democratic nominee. Biden is increasingly unpopular, and Harris has said she couldn’t think of anything she would have done differently than Biden.

As a parent, there are certain situations you can’t help but fear. One of those happened to Stephanie George recently. On Saturday, she and her 7-year-old son were enjoying a normal evening together. Because Sebastian has a rare genetic condition called Cornelia de Lange syndrome, he eats through a feeding tube. Normally, he experiences little to no issues. Stephanie did her best to stay calm, but it didn’t take long for this situation to become dire. As a result, this mom was forced to make a tough choice… and fast. So, as terrifying as this situation was for all three of them, in the end, this sweet 7-year-old was saved just in time. Plus, he’s doing just fine now! Finding petroglyphs in the rock formations of Utah and New Mexico is fairly commonplace. Many photographers hike out to photograph the ancient drawings. Daytime images show the intricacy of the drawings and the detail of each petroglyph. Astrophotographer Derek Culver was curious about what stone artwork would look like after dark. The stark differences between the daylight images and the night images are startling. While features and details are visible during the day, they seem amplified and more evident in the night images. With the images of hands, you see the polydactyl trait of six fingers, which happens in humans and animals. The images against the backdrop of the open sky with visible stars and night sky formations are spectacular. Petroglyphs are an important part of New Mexico’s history. Created centuries ago by Spanish immigrants and Indigenous peoples, the images depict bits and pieces of life in the desert region. Visitors to the National Park at Petroglyph National Monument can see petroglyphs in several areas. Boca Negra Canyon has more than 100 images, Rinconada Canyon hosts over 300, and Piedras Marcadas Canyon has over 400 images. Sections of the park have different hours, so please check with the information center before visiting the canyon areas.
