The Associated Press gave the Biden administration a fright on Halloween night, publishing a story exposing how the White House deliberately altered the official transcript of President Biden’s VotoLatino appearance where he called Trump voters “garbage.” Despite the fact that the alteration were indeed a scandal, ABC’s Good Morning America was the only broadcast morning newscast to ignore it. Instead, ABC chose to push a ProPublica article that dubiously claimed Texas’s prolife laws caused the death of an 18-year-old girl. But, neither ProPublica nor ABC provided any actual evidence that the pro-life law played any role, just relying on a grieving mother’s assertions and their own conjecture. What ABC didn’t want viewers to know was that the official White House stenographer was pressured by President Biden: The transcript released by the White House press office, however, rendered the quote with an apostrophe, reading “supporter’s” rather than “supporters,” which aides said pointed to Biden criticizing Hinchcliffe, not the millions of Americans who are supporting Trump for president. The change was made after the press office “conferred with the president,” according to an internal email from the head of the stenographers’ office that was obtained by The AP. The authenticity of the email was confirmed by two government officials who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss internal matters. ABC was obviously doing the Democrats bidding by hyping up a story purportedly showing the failure of a pro-life law. Instead of having one of their medical reporters deliver the story, they trotted out senior congressional correspondent Rachel Scott. “[Teenager Nevaeh Crain] went to the emergency room three separate times. This morning, her mother tells me she ultimately died because she could not get the care she desperately needed in a state with one of the strictest abortion bans,” Scott proclaimed.     Meanwhile, the facts of the case – as laid out by ProPublica and ABC (below) – don’t show that Texas’s pro-life law played any role what so ever, but rather an unfortunate and common case of missed symptoms and a rapid decline in heath: SCOTT: Candice Fails said her daughter Nevaeh, at six months pregnant, first started complaining of stomach pain and nausea. She went to the emergency room at Baptist Hospitals of South East Texas. (…) SCOTT: Candace says Nevaeh was diagnosed with strep throat and didn’t ever receive an ultrasound. She was sent back home. When the pain didn't go away, she went to the emergency room at Christus St. Elizabeth but was told her fetus still had a heart beat and that she was fine to leave. It wasn't until her third visit to the ER that she says doctors realize something was terribly wrong; saying the fetus no longer had a heartbeat. “I felt like the doctors were more concerned about the baby than her life. I'm frustrated how these laws are affecting my daughter from getting justice that she deserves,” Crain’s mother, Candace Fails told ABC. Again, neither ProPublica, ABC, nor Fails could point to any evidence that Texas’s pro-life law cause Crane’s untimely passing; no clause in the law nor comment from a doctor who saw her was provided as evidence. But the facts didn’t stop Scott from proclaiming: “Texas, of course, has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country.” She also suggesting the doctors treating Crane were afraid of breaking the law, (despite admitted they did make an exception for the life of the mother): Of course, any doctor who performs an unlawful abortion in the state of Texas could face prison time, loss of license and also some fines. This is just another ripple effect after Roe v. Wade was overturned, guys. The hospitals Crane sought treatment from were Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas and Christus St. Elizabeth. On their websites, both hospitals state that they provide health care services “in a Christian environment” and “[i]n the Christian faith” – respectively. So, the likelihood that they would have provided an abortion in the absence of the Texas law was unlikely to begin with, a fact ABC and ProPublica failed to point out. At the very bottom of ProPublica’s long-winded article, they buried how Fails was looking to sue the hospitals but “No lawyer has agreed to take the case.” Perhaps that’s a clue. You can do this/” SCOTT: ProPublica releasing an article this morning after an investigation into her death finding that it took 20 hours and three emergency room visits to be admitted to a hospital, even though her condition was worsening. They say doctors did two ultrasounds to confirm “fetal demise.” FAILS: And I'm hollering at them, and I’m telling them to, “Save my daughter. Just save my daughter. Do something.” SCOTT: Candice said she believes her daughter didn't get the care she deserved to save her life because of the state’s strict abortion ban. FAILS: I felt like the doctors were more concerned about the baby than her life. I'm frustrated how these laws are affecting my daughter from getting justice that she deserves. SCOTT: Christus St. Elizabeth told us it, quote, “believes the care provided to this patient was at all times appropriate and compassionate. However, due to HIPPA and privacy, we cannot comment further. Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas did not respond. [Cuts back to live] Yeah, well, ProPublica says they reached out to the doctors involved and they did not respond to their requests for comment. Texas, of course, has one of the strictest abortion bans in the country. It does include a narrow exception to save the life of the mother. But we’ve talked to a lot of doctors in that state who say there's so much confusion around these laws that it has changed how and when they intervene. Of course, any doctor who performs an unlawful abortion in the state of Texas could face prison time, loss of license and also some fines. This is just another ripple effect after Roe v. Former President Donald Trump lashed out at billionaire entrepreneur Mark Cuban for saying that Trump doesn't have strong or intelligent women around him because he's intimidated by them. Cuban, who has endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, criticized Trump while he was a guest on "The View" Thursday. 'Nobody likes him, nobody respects him, and he’s unattractive both inside and out!'“Donald Trump, you never see him around strong, intelligent women, ever. It’s just that simple. They’re intimidating to him. He doesn’t like to be challenged by them,” said Cuban. While the comments infuriated many of the women on the Trump campaign, the former president put out a long statement bashing Cuban and defending his female entourage on Friday. "Mark Cuban, a really dumb guy, who thinks he’s 'hot stuff' but he’s absolutely nothing, is now out there saying that I don’t surround myself with strong women. Actually, he is very wrong, I surround myself with the strongest of women - With the understanding that ALL women are great, whether strong or not strong," wrote Trump. He went on to claim that Cuban would call him incessantly when Trump was in office until he told Cuban that he simply didn't have time for his calls. "In any event, that affected him greatly, because he’s a very insecure guy, and a MAJOR LOSER, always has been and always will be!" Trump continued. "Nobody likes him, nobody respects him, and he’s unattractive both inside and out! He should go back to talk about the person he was forced to support, because I didn’t want it, Lyin’ Kamala Harris. Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate and Democratic activist Stacey Abrams still maintains that voter suppression tactics are being implemented in the state despite voter turnout reaching record levels.Almost four million Georgians have already cast their vote in the highly contested general election, but Abrams told CNN that does not mean that nefarious activity to suppress votes is not happening. Democrats have falsely claimed voter laws in Georgia were similar to Jim Crow laws and aimed at preventing minorities from voting. Abrams specifically complained about the mail-in voting in 2024 being restricted compared to 2020.Proper identification is also needed to vote via absentee ballot."Well, while we are excited about who's showing up, we have to understand that turnout does not mean there is not voter suppression activity. A lot of those voters in 2020 were able to vote by mail. One of the reasons we‘re seeing early lines is because they can no longer use the easier method of voting by mail because of SB 202, because of SB 189, laws that [Secretary of State Brad] Raffensperger and [Gov.] Brian Kemp supported and pushed forward," she said."People who are disabled, people who have lost their homes are facing harder times casting their ballots, but they refuse to be silenced. And what we are excited about is that here in the state of Georgia, despite the government making it harder to cast your ballot, people are willing to fight to make it happen anyway," Abrams continued. "So they're showing up; they're standing in lines they shouldn‘t have to stand in because they believe their voices matter and that this election matters. And we believe they‘re standing in these lines especially to support Kamala Harris."Georgia voting laws include needing a valid ID to vote in person, and many ID options are accepted. Absentee ballots are also an option, but "to protect against voter fraud, Georgia law only allows close relatives and caregivers to request and return absentee ballots for another person." Proper identification is also needed to vote via absentee ballot.Nearly half of the expected voting population has already voted in Georgia, mirroring a few other swing states that will determine the victor in next week's election. Over 3.4 million early voters voted in person, and over 226,000 submitted absentee ballots, according to Fox 5 Atlanta.By day 15 of early voting in 2024, a record-breaking 3.2 million Georgians had already cast a ballot. President Joe Biden upheld the long-standing Democratic tradition of belittling Republican voters this week, claiming in a videotaped call Tuesday with Voto Latino that Trump supporters are "garbage." Keenly aware of how damaging Biden's remarks were to Democrats in general but especially to Kamala Harris, who has recently been juggling Nazi accusations and promises of unity, elements of the liberal media attempted to fudge the record. They were not alone, however. The White House also tried to gaslight Americans into thinking the president said something else entirely. It turns out that doing so not only resulted in a discrepancy between public and official records but was likely illegal. Citing two U.S. government officials on an internal email, the Associated Press revealed Thursday evening that the White House press office ultimately released a transcript different from that prepared by official White House stenographers. According to an internal email from the head of the stenography office, the change was made after the White House press office "conferred with the president." 'The Press Office may choose to withhold the transcript but cannot edit it independently.' In the email, the supervisor claimed that the press office's revisionism constituted "a breach of protocol and spoliation of transcript integrity between the Stenography and Press Offices." Here is what the White House transcript claimed that Biden said when complaining about comedian Tony Hinchliffe's Puerto Rico joke at President Donald Trump's Oct. 27 rally at Madison Square Garden: In my home state of Delaware, they're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporter's — his — his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American. This is the version posted on the White House website and repeatedly shared online by White House senior deputy press secretary Andrew Bates. The addition of an apostrophe to "supporters" radically changes the meaning such that in a world where there was no video of Biden's remarks, Democrats could argue, perhaps with greater success than they have this week, that the president was just suggesting Hinchcliffe's supposed demonization of Latinos was unconscionable garbage. There is, however, video evidence of remarks, where Biden clearly says: The Puerto Rican that that I know — or Puerto Rico where I'm fr — in my home state of Delaware, they're good, decent, honorable people. The only garbage I see floating out there is his supporters. His, his, his demonization of Latinos is unconscionable, and it's un-American. The Associated Press confirmed that "supporters" in the original transcript prepared by the White House stenographers contained no apostrophe. "If there is a difference in interpretation, the Press Office may choose to withhold the transcript but cannot edit it independently," the supervisor noted in the internal letter. "Our Stenography Office transcript — released to our distro, which includes the National Archives — is now different than the version edited and released to the public by Press Office staff." 'The move is not only craven, but it also appears to be in violation of federal law.' The stenography office supervisor reportedly wrote to White House communications director Ben LaBolt, press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and other Biden officials, "Regardless of urgency, it is essential to our transcripts' authenticity and legitimacy that we adhere to consistent protocol for requesting edits, approval, and release." The supervisor apparently declined to comment, whereas Bates doubled down, suggesting, "The President confirmed in his tweet on Tuesday evening that he was addressing the hateful rhetoric from the comedian at Trump's Madison Square Garden rally. That was reflected in the transcript." On Wednesday, House Republican Conference Chairwoman Elise Stefanik (R-N.Y.) and House Committee on Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) penned a letter to White House counsel Edward Siskel, demanding that the Biden White House retain and preserve all documents and internal communications pertaining to the release of the doctored transcript. Stefanik and Comer suggested that by releasing a false transcript, the Biden White House may have violated the Presidential Records Act. "Americans were rightfully insulted when President Biden, seeking to boost Ms. Harris's presidential campaign, referred to an enormous swath of the country as 'floating ... garbage,'" the Republicans noted in their letter. "President Biden's vindictive words were unsurprising, given his previous statements regarding people who choose not to vote for his preferred candidate. Unsurprising too were the White House's actions after he said them." "Instead of apologizing or clarifying President Biden's words, the White House instead sought to change them (despite them being recorded on video) by releasing a false transcript of his remarks. The move is not only craven, but it also appears to be in violation of federal law, including the Presidential Records Act of 1978," added the letter. The lawmakers also demanded that the White House issue "a corrected transcript with the accurate words." Biden and his allies should by now be accustomed to correcting the record. The Biden-Harris FBI recently had to change its crime statistics for 2022. Whereas the bureau originally claimed that violent crime fell by 2.1% that year, it actually spiked by at least 4.5%. Blaze News reported in August that the Biden-Harris Bureau of Labor Statistics came clean about overstating job gains by 818,000 and was forced to revise down the total in its preliminary annual benchmark review. The election isn’t even close to over, but as Jason Whitlock of “Fearless” says, “the wind is at our back.” “Elon Musk, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, they’re all pivoting. That’s how much wind is at our back. The people in power with the most money in America,” Whitlock says after noting that Bezos refused to allow his paper, the Washington Post, to endorse Kamala Harris. In an op-ed published in the Washington Post, Bezos explained that trust in journalism and the media has annually “fallen near the very bottom, often just above Congress.” “But in this year’s Gallup poll, we have managed to fall below Congress. Our profession is now the least trusted of all. Something we are doing is clearly not working,” Bezos wrote, continuing, “Most people believe the media is biased. Anyone who doesn’t see this is paying scant attention to reality, and those who fight reality lose.” “Reality is an undefeated champion. It would be easy to blame others for our long and continuing fall in credibility (and, therefore, decline in impact), but a victim mentality will not help. Complaining is not a strategy. We must work harder to control what we can control to increase our credibility,” he added. Bezos went on to explain that a presidential endorsement from a biased newspaper that only those looking to confirm their biases read will “do nothing to tip the scales of an election.” What a presidential endorsement does, he continued, is “create a perception of bias” and a “perception of non-independence.” “Ending them is a principled decision, and it’s the right one,” he concluded. Whitlock is thrilled with Bezos' explanation of his decision to refrain from endorsing a political candidate. “If you start talking about the four richest people in America — Bezos, Elon, Zuckerberg, Larry Ellison — either they’re conservative or they’re moving our direction. We’re winning massively. Things are about to change,” he says. It’s four days until the election, and Democrats across the country are working overtime to suppress the vote, allow noncitizens to vote, and stop any kind of actual oversight. At the same time, Democrat allies in the media are working overtime to suppress reporting or complaining about it as Republican conspiracy theories. Fortunately, for the first time in modern history, both Republicans and parts of the judiciary appear willing to push back on the nonsense. First, the shenanigans. There’s a lot out there, including unverified incidents and those where the chance of stupidity is higher than the chance of malice, so we’ll just stick with the clearest ones here. Democrats in the media are gaslighting the country into believing it’s all just a big Trump conspiracy theory. You've got verified voter suppression in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. This isn’t a Republican talking point. It's a decision by a Democrat judge in a blue state, who ruled that police clearing voters out of early voting lines hours before the polls closed had broken the law — and mandated the Keystone State’s early voting window get extended by a few days to make up for it. Bucks County, just outside Philadelphia, isn’t red — it's a swing county that went for former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton by less than one point in 2016 and President Joe Biden by more than four points in 2022. Someone on the ground, however, seems to have seen something he did not like. It’s not certain who directed the police to suppress the vote, but “it appears the fake ‘voter protection’ workers — who are in fact Democrat Party operatives (not elections officials) — appear to be the ones directing the offices to shut down the lines and telling people they can’t vote,” RNC political director James Blair wrote Wednesday. There’s no doubt that any such incident in a Republican-run swing county of a swing state would elicit a swift state and federal response. Thus far, the Biden Department of Justice has been silent. Democratic Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro and his attorney general have not launched any known investigation into the illegal suppression. None of the above responded to Blaze News requests for information on any digging they might be doing. A bit farther west in the state, Lancaster County election officials have already flagged 2,500 ballots they say look suspicious. The ballots, ABC reported, were “apparently part of a larger effort to sign people up” and also impacted Monroe and Cambria counties. “It appears to be an organized effort at this point,” Lancaster County District Attorney Heather Adams (R) said. “In at least one example, the named applicant is in fact deceased,” Monroe County District Attorney Mike Mancuso wrote in a Tuesday Facebook post. Both Monroe and York counties traced the ballots back to an Arizona company, Field+Media Corps, which contracts with Democrats, including Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign. The company is owned by a Mesa, Arizona, councilman and “voting rights activist.” Over in Nevada, Democrats fought for months to delay a lawsuit challenging undated ballots. By the time it finally came before a judge this week, the judge ruled in favor of Democrats, saying there was no evidence that a bunch of late, undated ballots would favor the party that fought tooth and nail for their inclusion. In Virginia, the Biden-Harris administration fought the governor to stop him from removing noncitizens from voter rolls. The fight went all the way to the Supreme Court, which sided with the Old Dominion over the feds. In Ohio, Republican Secretary of State Frank LaRose reported that similar efforts to restrict American voting to American citizens were being thwarted by Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, whose administration refused to share its citizenship data. “Not only were they suing to stop these efforts, but they’re also withholding essential citizenship records needed to do this work,” he wrote on X Wednesday afternoon. The Democrat-aligned ACLU attacked his effort to keep non-Americans from voting in American elections, calling it a “discriminatory requirement.” In Colorado, Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold posted passwords to voting machines online without protections. Colorado reporter Kyle Clark later revealed she’d known about the password problem for five days but had neither taken them down nor told county clerks. She only acted after state Republicans exposed the security breach. When Clark asked her if she would have told the clerks (or the public) about the breach without Republican pressure, she declined to answer, claiming she’d spent those five days “investigating" with the Biden-Harris administration. The civil servant responsible, she claimed, is no longer with the office. Earlier in the year, Griswold argued in front of the Supreme Court that former President Donald Trump’s name should not appear on the state’s ballot, which would have barred Coloradans from voting for him at all. After the Supreme Court forced her to put his name back on, she unironically appealed to the American people to step in and “save democracy in November.” A Democrat judge in Illinois did the same, ruling that Trump must be stricken from the ballot in response to a lawsuit brought by a Democrat-supporting nonprofit, Free Speech for People. That organization’s founder and president is unironically the former executive director of the National Voting Rights Institute. In Maine, Democratic Secretary of State Shenna Bellows followed suit, removing the former president from the 2024 ballot. This effort was ultimately thwarted by the Supreme Court ruling. Democrats and their supporters led less successful efforts to nix Trump from the ballot in Alaska, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. In Democrat-run Dallas, a working “sample ballot” was posted online. It didn’t include the word “sample” anywhere and could easily have been downloaded and printed until it was called out by a local Republican activist. In Vancouver, Washington, an incendiary device was set off at a ballot box, destroying hundreds of ballots meant for an incredibly close House race pitting first-term Democratic Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez against Republican Joe Kent. While no person or group claimed responsibility for the crime, the devices were marked with “Free Gaza” — a frequent refrain at Democrat and left-wing rallies. Another ballot box was similarly attacked in nearby Portland, a hotbed of Democrat-aligned political violence. And while all this is going on, Democrats in the media are gaslighting the country into believing it’s all just a big Trump conspiracy theory. “This week, Trump is laying the groundwork for contesting the election by complaining that cheating is taking place in Pennsylvania,” Jonathan Capehart lisped on his Friday internet show, "by suing Bucks County for alleged election irregularities; and this is on top of his continual assertion that if he loses it’s because of cheating.” “Uh, yeah!” Democrat columnist Ruth Marcus responded. “He’s been laying the groundwork for this just not in the last week but the last umpty-umpth month.” It was all too rich for mild-mannered Republican radio host Hugh Hewitt, who explained that it was all very real and there’s no need to use “alleged” when it’s been found by a judge, before storming off camera. But it wasn’t just Ruth and Jonathan gabbing on. "Trump is laying the groundwork to challenge an election he might lose," Politico claimed Thursday. "Pennsylvania is ground zero." "Trump and his allies ramp up election fraud allegations in Pennsylvania," a Wednesday NBC News headline reads. An ABC story from Oct. 8 explains, "How Trump is laying the groundwork to possibly challenge the 2024 election results." It all reads like that classic NBC headline from last October: “Republicans float a quiet conspiracy theory that Biden won't be on the ballot.” There’s been no update on that gem yet from our star reporters, Matt Dixon, Dasha Burns, and Alex Tabet. The Monster Hunter Wilds beta has just kicked off, allowing PC and Xbox users to try out the game. However, while there's plenty to be excited about with getting a chance to try the new title, effortlessly smooth performance isn't one of them, with users reporting regular crashes, frame rate drops, and generally poor performance. While this is all a little alarming, it is still very early days with the Monster Hunter Wilds release date not until February next year. With Total War Warhammer 3 now fully revitalized after some big stumbles at the start of 2024, developer Creative Assembly is continuing to deliver additional updates for the colossal strategy game and its ambitious, trilogy-combining Immortal Empires mode. Total War Warhammer 3 patch 5.3 is the latest such installment, and it brings some key reworks to the Ogre Kingdoms alongside a new Vampire Counts unit, more magic items, and several other welcome campaign and interface tweaks.
