Bill Gates Pushes for Age Verification Digital ID

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is an advocate of a range of controversial policies he these days promotes through his foundation – from much-scrutinized agriculture practices, aggressive vaccination, and digital ID crusades, to now endorsing online age verification. We learn this from the “Books to keep you warm this holiday season” – a blog post, published along with a photo of a smirking Gates and a Christmas tree in the background. Related: The 2024 Digital ID and Online Age Verification Agenda The message might look cheesy and in stark contrast with Gates’ reputation, but things get serious since once of the stack of books he is holding is that of social psychologist Jonathan Haidt’s, The Anxious Generation. Gates likes Haidt’s stance that children shouldn’t be allowed to use smartphones “until they’re older.” One possible reason for this endorsement is that Gates is behind the idea of age verification, which would be the only way to know how old an online user is. Every online user, that is – the only schemes known to be effective so far are the extremely invasive ones where “everyone is treated as a minor until they prove otherwise.” Gates opens up his recommendation of Haidt’s book by appealing to most adults’ rose-tinted view of their youth, filled with real-life games, reading books, etc. (as if those could not be dangerous/contain harmful content – not to mention that Gates speaks fondly of isolating himself from the rest of world in a cabin for a week at a time during the 90s.) But, Gates (who sneakily, with no apparent evidence, links this practice with his “success later on”) thinks it was a healthy one, and Haidt’s book made him wonder if the technology available today (the proliferation of which resulted in his “success later on”) would have been too distracting at the time. Distracting from what, though – from becoming better equipped to become a tech billionaire? The argument is a bit of a “snake that bites its own tail” – but that’s also irrelevant. It’s simply a stage being set for advancing the policy of online age verification, as supposedly the way to counter modern technology-related harms. “The solutions Haidt proposes aren’t simple, but I think they’re needed. He makes a strong case for better age verification on social media platforms and delaying smartphone access until kids are older,” writes Gates, noting that the author would like to see “coordination between parents, schools, tech companies, and policymakers.” And clearly, so would Gates. One of the major symptoms of Trump Derangement Syndrome is the inability to feel joy during a time of merriment and source your misery back to the President-elect. Fake-Republican Ana Navarro was showing her symptoms during Monday’s episode of The View when she demanded that no one could be happy during Christmas because Trump was about to be president again. She even got into a shouting match with moderator Whoopi Goldberg over it. It was obvious Navarro was in a particularly dreary mood early in the show, when she called on everyone to give their money to rejected former Congresswoman Liz Cheney in case she was investigated and prosecuted by the Department of Justice: She's sticking by her guns. She is a principled person with a backbone and courage. And if he goes after her, she's going to fight back. And it is going to be our job to protect her, to support her, to donate to a legal fund, to make sure that there are lawyers ready to defend her. Because it costs a lot of money, because it is very stressful and very drainful. Even if there is no crime, being investigated by the federal government is a big deal. “First of all, thank God for Liz Cheney,” she proclaimed. “So, when Donald Trump says something, believe him, people! Believe him. There's nothing to wait for,” she added, the panic beginning to show. As they were approaching the first commercial break, Goldberg was trying to instruct viewers not to fall for Trump’s rage bait. “He makes lots and lots and lots of noise…He does this to keep you all in a panic. He does it to make y'all do this and talk about him and it's so terrible,” she explained as she shook her arms in the air and convulsed.     As for what to do during Christmas and New Year’s, Goldberg told people to “be with our families, be with our kids, do our jobs, make sure our checks don't bounce, make sure that we are taking care of ourselves and our families.” Goldberg’s lack of urgency to go nowhere triggered Navarro, who immediately started a shouting match and screeched about how people “need to prepare” for Trump and were “right to be in a panic.” In addition to falsely suggesting women in the military had something to fear from a Trump administration, Navarro also invoked the iconic “winter is coming” line from HBO’s Game of Thrones to paint a dark picture of the next four years and insisted “they can’t be relaxing and enjoying Christmas”: NAVARRO: No! Because we have the luxury of saying that because we're legal, we are successful, we are – GOLDBERG: Listen – NAVARRO: If you are an illegal immigrant in this country, you're not going to be not in panic! If you are a woman working for the Department of Defense, you have a right to be in a panic! GOLDBERG: Ana, you tell people to say fraught and like this! That is not -- NAVARRO: No, I'm telling people to prepare, Whoopi! I'm telling people to prepare! GOLDBERG: You think they aren't prepared? They are prepared. I’m saying to people – NAVARRO: So, that means they can't be relaxing and enjoying Christmas when winter is coming! GOLDBERG: No, it doesn’t mean that! You know what? I'm sorry. NAVARRO: I mean, I disagree! GOLDBERG: Winter is – Babe, winter is here! Winter has been with us! “Yeah, but my point to you is we are in a privileged position that a lot of people are going to be under his attack are not!” Navarro shrieked. “I have a family who is going through the same thing! Ana, calm down!” Goldberg shot back. Anti-Trumper Alyssa Farah Griffin chimed in to poke at Navarro. “I’m on his enemy’s list and I'm not panicking,” she declared while raising her hand. “We just have to live. You have to live. This is the United States of America…Live your life.” Goldberg took back command of the set and continued to shake her arms in the air and shout about how, “They're throwing 50,000 things at you to make you do this! I'm saying, don't buy into that! She went on to explain that her argument was that at some point in the future “we” would need to band together to “get out and fight” Trump, but enjoy Christmas first. The transcript is below. Yesterday she put out a very strong statement condemning what Donald Trump had said. And I kind of felt like, you know, like that song, it's like our nation turns its lonely eyes to you; because she's not trekking to Mar-a-Lago to kiss the ring. She's not going into, you know, deep hiding and in silence. She's not changing her tune all of a sudden. She's sticking by her guns. She is a principled person with a backbone and courage. And he's appointing people who are 100 percent loyal to him and who know that if they want to keep their jobs, they have to do what he wants them to do. Because yeah, they didn't come get Hillary, but he has other people who are ready to go, but I don't think that they can just go out and do what they want to do. Family Conversation: WH Press Seethe to KJP Over Lying About Hunter Biden Pardon

On Friday afternoon, Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre held the first White House briefing in 15 days and the first since President Biden went back on his word of denying he’d pardon his son, Hunter. Needless to say, the press corps came prepared to express their disgust with Jean-Pierre and the President making them look like fools and undermining their aura of respect for the rule of law. Unfortunately, Jean-Pierre wanted nothing to do with Fox’s Peter Doocy, leaving the next Doocy Time for another day. The Associated Press’s Zeke Miller went first with the pious take about Jean-Pierre promising during her first briefing to being honest with reporters and the American people cut against what happened here. Thus, he invited her to “explain to us, the American people, really why the information that you provided turned out not to be true.” Of course, he avoided the l-word of lying: AP’s @ZekeJMiller: “[I]n your first briefing here as press secretary, you committed to speaking to the American people and I quote, “in a transparent way —” KJP: “Yeah.” Miller: “— in a truthful way, and an honest way.” KJP: “Yes.” Miller: “[A]nd then in July, here at this… pic.twitter.com/pxLKlCA1Jb — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) December 6, 2024 After that long-winded answer above, Jean-Pierre rejected both of Miller’s follow-ups on whether she feels “owed apology — an apology by the President” or one “to the American people.”  She argued she should still be trusted in response to Miller’s final question about whether Americans “should...have confidence in anything else that you say,” but engaged in pants-on-fire chicanery by falsely claiming a poll by “USGov” showed “64 percent of the American people agree with the pardon.” In reality, the outfit was YouGov and it was 64 percent of Democrats supporting it. NBC’s longtime Swamp correspondent Kelly O’Donnell didn’t so much have questions as she did a talk a parent or mentor might give a child or student who did something wrong and won’t acknowledge it (click “expand”): O’DONNELL: All of those things you laid out were known long before Thanksgiving.  JEAN-PIERRE: Yep. O’DONNELL: And many Americans in reflecting the 64 percent certainly understand a father’s point of view, but the President was declarative. You were declarative. You didn’t give room for depending on the outcome of the election or depending on the rhetoric coming from the potential next administration. The certainty with which the President and you portrayed the no pardon is part of where the question comes from — JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. O’DONNELL: — because all the facts that you have outlined were well known in advance. JEAN-PIERRE: And I would add there has been some circumstances that have changed this, right? Uh — Republicans not letting up, saying they won’t stop. They’re going to continue to do this. I mentioned — uh — the recent — uh — uh — Trump appointees of legal enforcement positions, right — uh — that said during the campaign they would have — uh — they — they were out for retribution and so, no reason to not take them for the word. I point to that there was a sentencing coming up, as you all know. O’DONNELL: That was all well know. JEAN-PIERRE: It was — I — I said there are multiple factors here, not one thing. Not one thing led to this. Multiple factors, and I think if you look at all of these, it’s a combination of reasons why the President wrestled with this over the weekend and made this decision. O’DONNELL: Now that you’ve had time — JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. O’DONNELL: — and the President has had time to absorb how the public has responded to this to think on it. Does he have any concerns about the fact that he had been so declarative and then granted this pardon, you know, it’s clearly done and many — many Americans understand as a father how he would do that —  JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. O’DONNELL: — but does he have concerns about his credibility or the impact —  JEAN-PIERRE: You know — O’DONNELL: — it might have on future pardons? (....) O’DONNELL: Yeah, but he could have reserved the right to consider it later. And — and when he’s that declarative — JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. O’DONNELL: — as the President of the United States, that’s where it carries weight. JEAN-PIERRE: And it — no, I understand, and KellyO, you know this President, you followed him during his vice presidency, right? You have covered him. When he’s asked the question directly, he answers it — uh, directly O’DONNELL: So we are where we are.  JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. O’DONNELL: So does he regret that he had misled the public about what would eventually happen? ABC’s MaryAlice Parks followed with a tempered question: “Has the President felt the need to respond directly to any of his Democratic colleagues around their criticism of this one?: CNN’s M.J. Lee was another one of the most aggressive questioners about what this means for the credibility of the President: CNN’s @MJ_Lee: “Zeke asked this question. I just didn’t hear an answer. The next time that the President says he will or won’t do something, why should the American people believe him?” KJP: “I answered that question. I don’t have anything else to add.” Lee: “Well, what’s your… pic.twitter.com/kA9CY72xCy — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) December 6, 2024 Lee followed up: “Can you acknowledge that it may have been a mistake by the President, you to say multiple times unequivocally that he would not pardon his son?” Once Jean-Pierre reiterates she didn’t “have anything else yet to add,” Lee continued to press by wondering if, based on Biden’s statement, he “believes in the justice system except in some cases.” Like she did during the last briefing on November 21, Lee blasted Biden for avoiding the press during yet another foreign trip (click “expand”):     LEE: The President just got back from a multi-day trip to Angola, where he engaged the press, I think, literally one time just to quickly confirm that he was getting briefed on the situation in Korea. JEAN-PIERRE: Yep. LEE: His last foreign trip, it was six days in South America, as you know, he didn’t engage with reporters during that trip. After that last trip, you told us in this briefing room that he believes in the value of engaging the press. He enjoys it, you said, he will continue to engage — JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. LEE: — reporters, there will be opportunities to talk to him. JEAN-PIERRE: Yeah. LEE: So why is it that he is avoiding reporters? JEAN-PIERRE: Look, we got — we still have 45 days left in this administration. The President does — he does believe in the free the freedom of the press, right? He believes in that. I think we have shown in the last four years, bringing back the norms of engaging with all of you — uh — we have respected that process. I hope you guys think that — uh — that we’ve tried to do the best that we can to do that, and the President is going — he does — he really does enjoy having a back and forth, and when the President, and I do want to say he did — uh — take a moment to have a back and forth with all of you when he was in Nantucket — uh — with some of your colleagues who traveled with him. He did take some questions there, so it’s not like he hasn’t taken questions at all. He did have a — a — a — a — he did do a gaggle — uh — when he was in Nantucket around the holiday and took some questions, and so, he’ll continue to do that, and look, he was really focused — uh — and many of you who’ve asked me this question — uh — he was focused on his [inaudible]. He had the G20 — the last G20. He had APEC, which was all incredibly important — wanted to focus on his engagement — uh — with — uh — uh — leaders, heads of states. He did that — uh — the trip to Africa, as you all know, was a promise that he wanted to keep and it was a great trip — uh — with very substantive discussions, and we were able again to President to show his global leadership. And so, I would say to all of you, you’ll hear — uh — you certainly will hear from him in the next 45 days. Though Jean-Pierre wouldn’t engage and only fumbled her way through basic platitudes, Lee’s final question was biting: “Do you consider it upholding norms for the President to basically not engage the press in at least two back to back foreign trips?” CBS’s Ed O’Keefe was at the back-end of the briefing and brought the heat, trying again on whether Biden has apologized to Jean-Pierre: CBS’s @EdOKeefe: “When you’re standing there at the White House lectern, you are White House press secretary speaking on behalf of the President conveying his thoughts and views of the administration. And it's for that reason that you said on his behalf all those times that he… pic.twitter.com/Yz80tvga1C — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) December 6, 2024 O’Keefe’s follow-up was dead on that Doocy would have probably asked: “One of the other things he often says is that voters should trust his, ‘word as a Biden.’ Should they still? This was a pretty big, defiant public pronouncement by him that he wasn’t going to do this.” O’Keefe dropped another hammer when the previous question yielded a word salad: He sidestepped a — a judge and a jury’s decisions on the cases involving his son. He criticized the political nature of the prosecution. The next president has spent the last several years vowing to upend the justice Department and the FBI. Looking at their current and future presidents, Why should any American continue to have confidence in the American justice system? Jean-Pierre reemphasized Biden still believes “in the American justice system,” but O’Keefe wasn’t buying any of this nonsense and actually argued President Biden and President-Elect Trump are now at a point where they seem to hold similar views of the justice system (click “expand”): O’KEEFE: Two leaders who — JEAN-PIERRE: Oh, okay. Trump vows to terminate birthright citizenship — but wants Dreamers to stay

President-elect Donald Trump pledged to end birthright citizenship as one of his initial actions upon taking office. However, he also expressed that he wants Dreamers to be able to remain in the United States despite their illegal immigration status.During a Friday interview with Kristen Welker on "Meet the Press," Trump elaborated on his strategy for mass deportations, confirming his "day one" plan to end birthright citizenship.'Then the public turns against us. But we have to do our job.'Welker asked Trump whether he intended to accomplish that goal by using executive action to get around the 14th Amendment, which states that "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside."Trump replied, "We're going to have to get [birthright citizenship] changed. We'll maybe have to go back to the people. But we have to end it. We're the only country that has it."He noted that he is open to using executive action."Every time somebody puts two feet or even one foot on a piece of our land, it's welcome to long-term litigation," Trump stated, referring to the lengthy legal battles that precede the deportation of an illegal alien."Other countries, every other country, when somebody walks on and they see that they're here illegally, they walk them off; they take them back to where they came from," he added.Trump declared, "We have to get rid of this system. It's killing our country."The president-elect also discussed plans to deport families together, reinforcing remarks made by his incoming border czar, Tom Homan.Homan previously addressed concerns about family separation under the Trump administration, stating that families would not need to be split up since they could be deported as a unit.When asked about family separation, Trump told Welker, "I don't want to be breaking up families, so the only way you don't break up the family is you keep them together and you have to send them all back.""So no more family separations?" Welker asked.He explained that families would have two options: either they be deported as a unit, or those legally in the U.S. may remain while other members without legal status leave."Well, it depends on the family. The family may decide to say, 'I'd rather have Dad go, and we'll stay here.' And in which case they have that option," Trump responded.He anticipated that legacy media would use his mass deportation efforts to turn the public against him. "I'll tell you what's going to be horrible, when we take a wonderful young woman who's with a criminal," he continued. "And they show the woman, and she could stay by the law, but they show the woman being taken out. Or they want her out and your cameras are focused on her as she's crying as she's being taken out of our country. And then the public turns against us. But we have to do our job."Welker pressed the president-elect about his plans for Dreamers, individuals without legal status who moved to the U.S. as children. Trump noted that his administration is immediately focused on deporting criminal illegal aliens."The Dreamers are going to come later, and we have to do something about the Dreamers because these are people that have been brought here at a very young age. And many of these are middle-aged people now. Blaze News exclusive: 'I've attended these parties': Former Diddy protégé recalls 'dark hours' with 'extra activities'

A hip-hop artist who was previously signed to Sean "Diddy" Combs' record label revealed his experience at the infamous parties that have become the center of federal investigations. Diddy was raided by federal authorities in March 2024, with subsequent accusations against the record producer ranging from sexual assault to poisoning. Diddy has denied all charges against him, and these claims have not been proven in court. 'I come from Philly, and the culture is different here. Muslim culture. So we really don't get into, you know, the Baphomet [worship] and the shady practices of the industry business.' Rapper E. Ness, who usually goes by just Ness (born Lloyd Mathis), spoke exclusively to Blaze News about his time on Diddy's Bad Boy Records. 'Another time zone' Ness was signed to the label under Universal Records after competing in the MTV hit show "Making the Band 2," winning a spot in the hip-hop group called Da Band in 2002. Around 2006, Ness signed under Warner Atlantic Music Group as a solo artist but still with Diddy's label. While Ness initially described his relationship with Diddy as "strictly professional" and akin to an apprenticeship, he revealed that it was obvious there were some events happening at his boss' parties that went against his beliefs. "I've attended these parties," Ness confirmed. "There's a certain time where the standardized party ends, and then you enter to another time zone where the extra activities occur." When asked if he was permitted to stay in the later hours of the party, or if it was for an inner circle only, Ness explained that it wasn't a matter of permission. "Most of the times, I'm partying out to the point that I don't even make it into those dark hours where it becomes, you know, spooky." "Me, I'm just a street guy from a smaller home, and I just was brought up a little bit different," he continued. "When I'm tired, I'm tired. When I'm curious, I'm curious. And when I'm not, I'm not." The Philadelphia native added that at a certain time of night, he was typically ready to leave if he felt he had "stayed long enough" or "outstayed" his welcome. The price of fame Ness mentioned multiple times that his beliefs and upbringing meant he wasn't willing to participate in certain activities. While he didn't describe what the "extra activities" were in relation to Diddy's parties, he touched on the disturbing aspects regarding why his time in the spotlight seemingly ended. "There was never a fallout [with the label]," Ness affirmed, answering rumors that he was on poor terms with Bad Boy Records. "It's just some things that some certain artists do that ... other artists aren't willing to do," he went on. After briefly contemplating, Ness again stated it wasn't worth it to him to sacrifice his beliefs for success. "Basically, what I wanna say is, once you get to a certain level of success, you have people from the hierarchy approach you about which direction you wanna go to. If you wanna stay a subpar, mid-tier-level artist, or you wanna become a full-fledged superstar." He continued, "I come from Philly and the culture is different here. Muslim culture. So we really don't get into, you know, the Baphomet [worship] and the shady practices of the industry business." After so casually mentioning Baphomet, a deity from the Knights Templar that is colloquially used to portray Satanic beliefs, Ness eventually recited what he was told regarding the underbelly of celebrity. "I was around certain people, and they would pull my coattail, pull me to the side, kind of explain to me the, I would say, the steps you would have to take to allow yourself to be approached to enter into that new level." Lighting a cigar, Ness cited freemasonry while remembering he was told that if the "next step" is taken, "There's no questions asked." "Looking back on it, there's other ways that you could prove yourself to these people: sacrifice, public humiliation, and same-sex [intercourse]." "It's just too much for the price of fame. And I wasn't willing to pay that price at that time," he pondered. Ness called these requirements "evil," while adding an artist's success should be based on talent, without the musician having to "compromise" themselves in any way. Lloyd 'E. Photo by Julia Beverly/Getty Images 'Diddy Do It?' Despite his industry experience and "activities" he could only speculate on, Ness said his relationship with Diddy never had any "weird energy." "I never seen a lot of the things that he's being accused of. Yeah, he was a shrewd businessman and sometimes, you know, he could be emotional and bark at people, but that just comes with the headaches and the everyday obstacles of putting out fires in the music business." Outside of music, Ness said he never saw "any sexual deviance," and his relationship with Diddy was kept professional. He called the music mogul a "jack of all trades but a master of none," doing whatever it took to get the job done. Whether that was getting on the phone, mixing music, or making sure hair is styled properly, Diddy "always moved the chains." Diddy's work ethic sounded admirable, but he was always in a cutthroat pursuit to deliver numbers "at all costs." In that vein, Ness recalled how Diddy treated the MTV show that originated his fame. He described it as a stepping stone for Diddy to prove that he was capable of putting out a hit show, and his attentiveness to the music that he was to promote gradually faded. Ness claimed the success of "Making the Band 2" allowed Diddy to make a plethora of new shows, like "I Want to Work for Diddy" and "P. Diddy's Starmaker." While Ness' new song "Diddy Do It?" is purposefully capitalizing off headlines and his past, he said the lyrics are meant to poke fun at celebrity in general and how quickly a star can be taken down by the industry. "You can be reverent and celebrated and praised for 20, 30 years. And then, as soon as you ruffle feathers, you could be attacked, and your empire can come crumbl[ing] down." Ness concluded, "It's almost like putting up a mirror at the same success that young black Americans strive to get in the status quo. It's the same thing that ultimately could break you and send you right back to a dark place that you don't wanna be." Ness has amassed nearly 250,000 Instagram followers and can be seen in battle raps all across the country.

A Black Lives Matter leader made an apparent call to violence after Daniel Penny was cleared of criminally negligent homicide in the controversial New York City subway chokehold case. The jury told a judge on Friday they were deadlocked on a higher charge of manslaughter, which was dropped by prosecutors in order to pursue a lesser charge. On Monday, the jury returned with a verdict of not guilty on the lower charge, clearing Penny in the criminal case.'This weekend I want you to hold a community event, everywhere from the Bronx to Houston, to Seattle, to Florida.'While many celebrated the case, Black Lives Matter protesters spoke out against what they saw as a travesty of justice. Activist leader Hawk Newsome went further with his apparent call to violence. "It's like everybody else has vigilantes! We need some black vigilantes! People want to jump up and choke us and kill us for being loud?! How about we do the same when they attempt to oppress us?" he yelled outside of the courthouse. "I'm tired. I know y'all lookin' for us to be like, 'Oh! Go and march! Go and march!' No," he added. "This weekend, I want you to hold a community event, everywhere from the Bronx to Houston to Seattle to Florida. Black people, hold community events, and talk about what you need!" Video of his comments were posted to social media where they were widely circulated. Penny's defenders have noted that Neely had threatened to kill people on the subway, and many of those threatened called Penny a hero after the incident. Penny, a 26-year-old Marine veteran, said that he was only trying to control Neely so that he didn't harm anyone on the subway train. Neely was a homeless man with schizophrenia. Newsome previously called New York City Mayor Eric Adams, a Democrat and a black man, a "coon" and a "white man in blackface" after he pointed out that many perpetrators of violent crime against blacks were in fact black themselves. The founder of Rebel News, Ezra Levant, was recently arrested in his Jewish neighborhood in Toronto, Canada, for “inciting a breach of the peace” by standing next to a group of anti-Israel, pro-Hamas protesters. In a video captured during the protest, Levant tells the camera mid-arrest that he was “being arrested because I’m standing on the sidewalk in my city. I’m a Jew who lives in this neighborhood, and I’m being arrested because the police say that’s the path of least resistance.” “I wasn’t doing anything unlawful,” Levant tells Glenn Beck of “The Glenn Beck Program.” “I was actually just debating with those cops because I wanted to film. You called it a pro-Palestinian rally; it sort of was. But I think it was more than that. It was pro-Hamas.” Levant explains that the protesters were “re-enacting the final moments of Yahya Sinwar,” who is the now-deceased head of Hamas. “Nothing to do with the war overseas. They were putting on this sort of re-enactment of their hero, the head of Hamas. And I thought this was so astonishing, I just wanted to film it.” While the cop had accused Levant, who was silently filming, of breaching the peace, Levant believes the “pro-Hamas thugs” were the ones actually breaching the peace. “They essentially vetoed me being on my own sidewalk. This is public property. I wasn’t in some private place to be trespassed or something. And the cops arrested me, the path of least resistance,” he explains, adding, “There [were] about 20 of them, and there was one of me. And instead of upholding the law, they said, ‘We’ll just take Ezra out because we know he’s not going to riot, he’s not going to get violent.
