Nothing to See! ABC Tries to Make Biden Calling Trumpers ‘Garbage’ a Non-Story

More than any broadcast network newscast (aside from its evening counterpart, World News Tonight), ABC’s Good Morning America has circled the wagons on a daily basis for the Biden-Harris regime like their livelihoods depend on it. Wednesday saw them take it to another level by dismissing President Biden’s Tuesday night remarks that Trump “supporters” are “garbage” by lamenting “Republicans are seizing on what President Biden had to say.” ABC was so committed to the bit that they spent more time swooning over Kamala Harris’s January 6 speech (four minutes and five seconds) and either engaging in whataboutism or harping on the Puerto Rico “garbage” comment Sunday by pro-Trump comedian Tony Hinchliffe (two minutes and three seconds) than they did on Biden’s comments (one minute and four seconds). It’s as though ABC wants viewers to believe Hinchcliffe has more influence and power than the sitting President of the United States. Outside the time count, the opening tease set the table for ABC telling viewers to move along: ABC's 'Good Morning America' declares in a tease that "Republicans are trying to seize on something President Biden said," lamenting *they* are doing this after Kamala Harris provided a "sharp contrast" with Trump "speaking from the same spot" Trump did on January 6 pic.twitter.com/XOX1zaabTZ — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 30, 2024 Chief apple polisher Mary Bruce swooned over the rally in dark-blue Washington D.C. as “quite a scene” with Harris “speaking at the exact same site where Donald Trump addressed his supporters before they attacked the Capitol on January” and “urging Americans to stop pointing fingers, to start holding arms”: ABC's Mary Bruce with more apple-polishing for Kamala Harris, gushing it "was quite a scene last night" at the Ellipse as she "urged Americans to stop pointing fingers" and "start holding arms" by letting her "take the country in a new direction.". pic.twitter.com/IAIIc6UtIX — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 30, 2024 Bruce read one press release-like line after another, including proclamations that Harris “promis[es] to take the country in a new direction,” has plans Harris “argu[es]...would better serve working Americans,” and “be a president for all Americans.” This gave way to idolatrous Trump-hating correspondent Rachel Scott, who downplayed Biden’s smear of half the country to cheering it as him “going on the attack.” Instead, she tried to keep Hinchcliffe-gate alive: ABC's @RachelVScott downplays Biden calling Trump supporters "garbage": "Donald Trump's campaign has been trying to turn the page after a comedian at one of his rallies compared Puerto Rico to 'a floating island of garbage,' but this morning Republicans are seizing on what… pic.twitter.com/CMAUHk045x — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 30, 2024 Scott insisted Biden backtracked and thus there’s no there there, including some classic whataboutism that “Trump has repeatedly gone after voters who are supporting Harris” and “still hasn't denounced any of the sexist, racist, or vulgar remarks made by speakers at his rally”: ABC's @RachelVScott defends Biden, touting claims he never called Trump supporters "garbage" b/c Biden has "clarif[ied]" himself and....look at what Trump has said about Harris: "The White House says President Biden was referring to the comedian, but Republicans seizing on the… pic.twitter.com/4gkd5NB5LW — Curtis Houck (@CurtisHouck) October 30, 2024 She even insisted the election could be lost for Trump because of this: “But that comedian wasn’t the only one onstage to use racist and sexist rhetoric. Some Republicans warning the damage could already be done.” Scott pointed to Nikki Haley’s latest jabs at the Trump campaign before closing with some fear-mongering about the future of the government bureaucracy: [Robert J. Kennedy Jr.] said if Trump wins the White House, he has promised him control over public agencies. Kennedy, of course, has pushed a range of conspiracy theories including about vaccines[.] To see the relevant ABC transcript from October 30, click here.

MRC, Brent Bozell Petition FCC to Reconsider LAWLESS Soros Shortcut on Radio Station Buy

The Media Research Center is asking the Federal Communications Commission to undo its creation of a lawless Soros shortcut. Yesterday, the Media Research Center (MRC) and MRC Founder and President Brent Bozell filed a formal petition to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) requesting reconsideration of its order fast-tracking Soros Fund Management’s acquisition of radio behemoth Audacy, which owns the second largest number of broadcast radio stations in the United States. Soros Fund Management is controlled by leftist activist billionaire George Soros, a man with a long, sordid history of supporting socialism, censorship and anti-American extremism. Under the FCC’s regulations, associations with foreign owners — such as Soros Fund Management — must undergo a rigorous application process. However, in September, the five-member FCC approved the acquisition of Audacy in a bitter 3-2 vote without requiring Soros Fund Management to first meet these disclosure rules. The two Republican commissioners, Brendan Carr and Nathan Simington, dissented. In his motion to reconsider, Bozell highlighted how the FCC disregarded its own regulations in order to empower Soros. Bozell wrote: “[T]he Commission’s own rules require it to demonstrate that an acquisition serves the public interest. However, the Commission’s decision contained no public interest analysis specific to the Audacy acquisition.” Bozell’s petition also highlighted that in both her formal statement and her letter to Congress, FCC Chairwoman Jessica Rosenworcel (D) misrepresented previous FCC precedent. Rosenworcel falsely claimed the FCC's Audacy determination was “identical” to its rulings in earlier proceedings. However, the rulings — or precedents — she cited were either not related to waivers at all, or were decisions made by low level bureaus rather than by the commissioners.  This same point was raised by Carr in his dissent. Carr wrote:  “The Commission’s decision today is unprecedented. Never before has the Commission voted to approve the transfer of a broadcast license—let alone the transfer of broadcast licenses for over 200 radio stations across more than 40 markets—without following the requirements and procedures codified in federal law. Not once. And yet the Commission breaks this new ground today without seeking public comment on altering our established regulations, without actually changing the rules on the books, and without seeking the feedback of other federal agencies with relevant equities.” The New York Post previously reported that Soros’s attempted takeover of Audacy may mean the left-wing billionaire “was buying the stake to exert influence on public opinion in the months leading up to the 2024 presidential election.” Between 2016 and 2020, Soros gave over $130 million to push his global leftist media agenda. He has also given extensively to the Poynter Institute’s so-called International Fact-Checking Network, which coordinates censorship efforts between various left-wing outlets such as The Washington Post and Meta platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Threads and WhatsApp). By allowing Soros to take control of Audacy, the FCC has imperiled Americans’ access to 225 local radio stations covering 46 separate markets. This includes WRVA, which airs The Richmond Morning News with John Reid; WPHT, which provides Jimmy Failla’s show to the Philadelphia public; and three separate stations broadcasting nationally syndicated host and Blaze Media owner Glenn Beck.  The FCC’s favoritism towards Soros contrasts with its alleged harassment of tech entrepreneur Elon Musk. Less than a year ago, the commission revoked an $855 million grant awarded to Musk’s Starlink to create high-speed Internet service for over 640,000 rural homes and businesses.  At the time, Carr wrote a stinging dissent where he stated it was “obvious” that the FCC was “engaging in the regulatory harassment of Elon Musk.” The FCC’s revocation of Starlink’s grant came shortly after Musk purchased the censorship-heavy social media platform Twitter and converted it to a more free speech-focused space called X. Musk also published secret communications wherein the administration of President Joe Biden pressured Twitter employees to censor the president’s critics. Rosenworcel, who had voted to strip Starlink’s funding, was appointed chairwoman by Biden, who is a political ally of Soros and vocal proponent of censorship. The next president, who will be inaugurated in January, can appoint a new chairperson. That new chairperson would be legally permitted to reconsider the FCC’s Audacy decision.  Conservatives are under attack. Contact your senators and tell them not to confirm any FCC commissioner who supports creating Soros shortcuts. Daily Show Warns Latinos: Trump Will Deport You Even If You Vote For Him

Voto Latino CEO Maria Teresa Kumar journeyed to Comedy Central and The Daily Show on Tuesday to warn any Latino thinking of voting for Trump that their vote will not save them because Trump and his friends simply want to deport brown people. Temp host of the week Ronny Chieng opened up the floor by asking, “What would you want to say to conservative Latino voters right now who might be on the fence or what would you tell them to—?”     Kumar gave a short response that was nonetheless full of problems: So, my grandmother says, you are who your friends are. And so if Donald Trump's friends are calling our community ‘garbage,’ if they are talking about mass deportation, if they are talking about this idea of separating families or deporting whole families, they’re talking about you because the moment you step out that door, you present as brown, and our job right now is to safeguard our democracy, and if Kamala Harris can bring Dick Cheney and AOC under one tent, that's a call for our democracy right now.  The previous day, even Jon Stewart, who is a fierce critic of both Donald Trump and his recent Madison Square Garden rally, skewered those who claim to be outraged by the “garbage” comment.    Brilliant by Jon Stewart… ? pic.twitter.com/XDE1ECvRG6 — Piers Morgan (@piersmorgan) October 29, 2024   Second of all, if you are voting, you are an American citizen, so nobody will be deporting you. Claiming anything else is just fearmongering. Finally, it is true that Dick Cheney and AOC are voting for Harris, but who cares? Two can play this game. Nikki Haley and Tulsi Gabbard are both voting for Trump because there will always be Republicans who vote for the Democrat and vice versa, but only when Trump is on the ballot do people pretend like it is a big deal. Here is a transcript for the October 29 show: Comedy Central The Daily Show 10/29/2024 11:29 PM ET RONNY CHIENG: I would just like to ask you, what would you want to say to conservative Latino voters right now who might be on the fence or what would you tell them to—? MARIA TERESA KUMAR: So, my grandmother says, you are who your friends are. And so if Donald Trump's friends are calling our community “garbage,” if they are talking about mass deportation, if they are talking about this idea of separating families or deporting whole families, they’re talking about you because the moment you step out that door, you present as brown, and our job right now is to safeguard our democracy, and if Kamala Harris can bring Dick Cheney and AOC under one tent, that's a call for our democracy right now.

Election passwords accidentally posted online for months in blue state

Confidential passwords to voting systems were inadvertently posted on the Colorado secretary of state's public website for months before being removed. Despite this, officials maintained this leak is "not a security threat" to elections. The passwords were publicly visible on a spreadsheet posted to the website with a hidden tab that included over 600 partial passwords to Colorado's voting systems in 63 of Colorado's 64 counties. The passwords were "discreetly" removed from the website on Thursday after being listed since at least August, according to a press release from the Republican Party of Colorado.'At best, even if the passwords were outdated, it represents significant incompetence and negligence, and it raises huge questions about password management and other basic security protocols at the highest levels within Griswold's office.'"To be very clear, we do not see this as a full security threat to the state. This is not a security threat," Democratic Secretary of State Jena Griswold told KUSA. "There are two passwords to get into any voting component, along with physical access. We have layers of security and, out of just an abundance of caution, have staff in the field changing passwords, looking at access logs, and looking at the entire situation and continuing our investigation.""We hear all the time in Colorado from Secretary Griswold and Governor Polis that we represent the 'gold standard' for election integrity, a model for the nation," Dave Williams, chairman of the Republican Party of Colorado, said in a statement. "One can only hope that by the secretary posting our most sensitive passwords online to the world dispels that myth." This is not the first time Colorado has faced scrutiny over security lapses and election integrity. Under Griswold's purview, 30,000 noncitizens in Colorado mistakenly received voter registration mail in 2022. Despite past and present hiccups, Griswold and Colorado officials maintain that their elections are airtight. "It's shocking, really," Williams said in the press release. "At best, even if the passwords were outdated, it represents significant incompetence and negligence, and it raises huge questions about password management and other basic security protocols at the highest levels within Griswold's office. "This type of security breach could have far-reaching implications, putting the entire Colorado election results for the vast majority of races, including the tabulation of the presidential race in Colorado, in jeopardy unless all of the machines can meet the standards of a 'trusted build' before next Tuesday," Williams continued.Like Blaze News?
