Chicken Refuses To Go To Bed Without Dad Tucking Her In

If you think your pet is spoiled, meet the chicken who needs to be tucked in bed every night by her owner! A woman on social media shared the most hilarious video about her boyfriend and his bird. Apparently, this feathered farm animal won’t go to sleep unless Dad is there to help her get settled in. If the man doesn’t show up, she tracks him down to demand her bedtime snuggles. Talk about being henpecked! This farmer’s girlfriend caught some great footage of the indignant bird “knocking” at the patio door on just such an occasion. In her clip, the hen didn’t just tap on the glass — she also hopped up and down while flapping her wings to try and get her dad’s attention! @myhippiehomestead Hes a keeper. #boyfriend #keeper #chicken #homestead ♬ Monkeyshine-JP – Lt FitzGibbons Men “If my boyfriend doesn’t put his chicken to bed, she comes and knocks on our patio door and demands to be tucked in,” wrote the woman in her caption. Eventually, the critter’s antics got her owner to come outside with her. This chicken happily trotted alongside her dad as he led her back to the coop, knowing she’d be tucked into bed by her favorite person once they got there. Over 10 million people have watched this hysterical video. Commenters thought it was too funny that this chicken was so insistent about being tucked into bed by her dad! “That’s her man,” one user joked. Another wrote, “Your chicken has trained him well.” How does this chicken get “tucked in” bed? @myhippiehomestead I think Henrietta was less than thrilled that I was present for this #chicken #boyfriend #keeper ♬ vibey birds of a feather – Jordan Greenwald Obviously, the farmer’s girlfriend couldn’t post a video like this without also sharing some footage of the bird’s actual bedtime routine! In another clip, she filmed the pampered chicken getting tucked into bed. Apparently, this involves Dad picking her up to give her some much-needed affection first! This hen really seems to value her time with her owner. “She looks mad that I’m here tbh,” the woman wrote over the video. In the same clip, the girlfriend shared that her partner was also building his birds a fancy new coop. It looks like these hens are really living the life! Homemade Hot Pockets: Making Home Cooking Worthwhile

Homemade hot pockets are just as easy to make as a homemade pizza is. Just like any other homemade recipe, the ingredients that go inside are totally up to you. Homemade Hot Pockets Today I’m going to share three delicious and fairly healthy versions of my favorite homemade hot pockets. These are: The Pesto Pizza Pocket The Breakfast Pocket The Chicken Parmesan Pocket  Pesto Pizza Pocket image via foodeverest.com The pesto pizza pocket is delicious and healthy. I like to make a fresh pesto sauce and allow it to rest in the refrigerator while I work the dough. This recipe also works for making a medium to large pizza. Here’s what you’ll need for the pesto sauce. ½ Cup Romano & Parmesan Cheese Blend 2 Cups Fresh Basil ½ Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil ⅓ Cup Pine Nuts 3-5 Cloves Garlic – I like extra garlic so 5 might be too much for some folks. Sea Salt & White Pepper To Taste You’ll need a food processor to make your sauce. An electric or hand powered one will work. Blend the basil and Pine Nuts in the processor until they’re smooth. Add the garlic and cheese blend and pulse for about a minute or so. Slowly add the oil into the processor. If you add it too quickly it will separate. Mix in the salt and pepper, cover, and let stand in the refrigerator while you work the dough. The Toppings | ½ Cup Shredded Provolone ½ Cup Shredded Mozzarella 4 Roma or Plum Tomatoes I generally use the same exact dough recipe that I use when making pizza. You can buy yours pre-made or use something like crescent dough for a flakey crust. Either way, I use about one pound of dough which is the same amount I use when making a medium to large pizzas. Pre-heat the oven to 450 degrees Fahrenheit. Roll the dough out into a rectangular shape and cut strips about 3-5 inches wide. The size isn’t so important it’s more of a preference or according to how many you plan to feed. Some people like to make them the shape of a calzone which is perfectly fine too. I use about a tablespoon of sauce for each individual pesto pocket depending on the size. Add the rest of your fillings and enclose your pesto pocket. Be sure the top and bottom dough is sealed well and place them onto a pizza pan. (It’s good to dust the pan with some cornmeal or a light sprinkle of flour.) Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. The Breakfast Pocket | You can use pizza dough for this recipe but I love to use crescents. You can chat and buy some crescent roll dough or make it yourself. The ingredients are up to you but I like to make an egg white omelet. 2-3 Egg Whites Per Pocket 2-3 Diced Roma Tomatoes ½ Small Green Pepper ½ Small Yellow Pepper ¼ Cup Diced Red Onion Aged White Cheddar A Tablespoon or so of melted butter to brush the inner crust with. Salt & Pepper To Taste Simply whip up your omelet with all of the fixin’s. Add or subtract what you wish. Open your crescent rolls, you’ll need two triangle sections for each breakfast pocket. Brush on the melted butter, add your filling, place the top crust on, seal it shut, and bake until golden brown, 10-15 minutes.   Chicken Parm Pocket image via anightowlblog.com This one is super easy. When I make chicken parmesan for supper I just make extra for the next night’s Chicken Parm Pockets. You can make it fresh of course but I like the leftover method! The only thing you’ll want extra of is the sauce and cheese. Roll out your dough. Add a tablespoon of pizza sauce per pizza pocket. Dice up the leftover chicken or use it whole, sprinkle on a little extra cheese, and bake at 450 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Watch this video by FunFoods on homemade hot pocket easy recipes: When you’re making homemade hot pockets there are no real special ingredients you can use your imagination and be creative. If it will work on a pizza then most likely it will work inside of one. I have even experimented with beef stew and mashed potatoes and it worked pretty well too, you just have to have a thicker gravy! I hope this sparks the chef in you, we’d love to hear some of your favorites! Do you know any homemade hot pockets recipes you want to share? Please add them in the comments below! Ruins of Massive Mayan City with Pyramids Discovered in Mexican Jungle

LiDAR technology—utilizing precise laser pulses to map landscapes—recently led to the groundbreaking discovery of an enormous ancient Mayan city hidden beneath dense jungle in Campeche, Mexico. This previously unknown site, named Valeriana, spans approximately 21 square kilometers and includes over 6,500 structures. Among the many buildings, archaeologists identified a prominent 15-meter-high pyramid, suggesting that Valeriana was once a major urban center before it was abandoned and overtaken by the jungle some 1,500 years ago. This discovery underscores the potential of advanced technologies like LiDAR to reveal complex archaeological sites entirely camouflaged by dense vegetation, proving that substantial archaeological mysteries remain undiscovered. Structures were hidden under the Mexican jungle. Pic: Luke Auld-Thomas/Antiquity Publications “We’ve uncovered not only rural areas and small settlements but a large city with pyramids, incredibly situated right next to the only highway in this remote area. Local farmers have been cultivating the land here, unaware of the historic treasure beneath,” explains Luke Auld-Thomas from Tulane University. Auld-Thomas’s team first took aerial LiDAR scans, capturing the landscape in minute detail, before analyzing the images in their laboratory. “We started spotting rectangular structures almost immediately,” he notes. “LiDAR allows us to scan extensive areas swiftly, providing high-resolution maps that reveal intricate details of forgotten structures. Our reaction was, ‘Wow, there’s an entire city here we knew nothing about—there must have been a significant population here.’ Both the government and the scientific community were unaware of its existence, which really emphasizes that we are far from having uncovered all there is to know,” he adds. Just two years prior, a similar discovery was made in Guatemala’s rainforests, where LiDAR exposed another expansive Mayan city dating back approximately 2,000 years. This city stretches across a staggering 1,000 square kilometers, revealing not only residential buildings but also intricate pyramids, water reservoirs, and canals for irrigation and water management. The ongoing use of LiDAR in archaeology is transforming our understanding of ancient civilizations, allowing scientists to unearth monumental discoveries that were once thought lost to history.
