‘Am I Racist?’ Becomes The Most Successful Launch In DailyWire+ History

“Am I Racist?” has officially become the most successful release in DailyWire+ history, performing even better on its first day of streaming than previous hits including Matt Walsh’s 2022 documentary “What is a Woman?” and the comedy “Lady Ballers” in 2023. The film’s success was celebrated by its star Matt Walsh, who wrote on X, “The streaming launch of ‘Am I Racist?’ on Daily Wire was the biggest launch in the history of our platform. This is after it had the best box office performance of any documentary in the past five years. Blown away by the support. Thank you.” The streaming launch of "Am I Racist?" on Daily Wire was the biggest launch in the history of our platform. This is after it had the best box office performance of any documentary in the past five years. Blown away by the support. Thank you! — Matt Walsh (@MattWalshBlog) October 29, 2024 Even before it headed to the DailyWire+ streaming platform, “Am I Racist?” was a huge success as the company’s first theatrical release for an in-house production. It outperformed expectations at the box office, grossing more than $12 million and debuting in the top five films in the country on its opening weekend. “Am I Racist?” also became the top-grossing documentary of the decade.  The film featured Walsh going undercover in the world of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) to expose the grift of the race hustlers profiting off people’s emotions through deception. WATCH MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ ON DAILYWIRE+ “Am I Racist?” has a 96% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes with more than 2,500 verified reviews. Despite the overwhelming popularity of the movie, mainstream critics have largely ignored it. Podcast host Joe Rogan said “Am I Racist?” was hilarious.  “Your movie is really funny. It’s really funny,” Rogan told Walsh during an interview last month. “By myself, laughing out loud hysterically today,” he went on. “I watched it in the sauna, I watched it in the gym. … It’s one of the best comedies I’ve seen in a long time because there’s so many moments in it that are so uncomfortable.” On Monday, Walsh also announced that he had submitted the film to the Oscars. “Excited to announce that we have officially submitted ‘Am I Racist’ for Academy Award consideration. I’ve told my team that there’s no reason to wait until we actually win or even get nominated to put it on the movie poster,” Walsh wrote on X. Giuliani Faces Major Consequences in High-Stakes Defamation Lawsuit

Rudy Giuliani faces the loss of his cherished Manhattan apartment amid a $148 million defamation ruling in favor of Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss. “America’s mayor” has lost his home. Giuliani’s Legal Troubles and Financial Losses A court has ordered Rudy Giuliani to relinquish his Manhattan apartment and other assets after losing a $148 million defamation lawsuit. Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Wandrea “Shaye” Moss, who were wrongfully accused by Giuliani during the 2020 presidential election, were awarded the judgment. These accusations led to multiple threats against them, prompting the lawsuit for defamation and false accusations. Giuliani must surrender not only the Manhattan apartment, valued at over $5 million, but also an interest in $2 million owed by Trump’s 2020 campaign. This step is part of an effort to liquidate assets quickly to maximize their sale value for the plaintiffs. Despite Giuliani’s protests over the sentimental value of these items, such as a watch given by his grandfather, the court maintained its decision, emphasizing the necessity of liquidation. Rudy Giuliani has been ordered to turn over his Manhattan apartment, a 1980 Mercedes and more to two Georgia election workers who won a $148M defamation judgment against him. But, he gets to keep his Florida condo and Yankees World Series rings — for now. https://t.co/uMUlyvGfEx — Michael Scoop (@mikesisak) October 22, 2024 The Court’s Rationale and Further Litigation Among the possessions to be handed over are memorabilia, including a signed shirt and picture by Yankees legends, a diamond ring, costume jewelry, and 26 watches including a Rolex. Notably, Giuliani will retain three New York Yankees World Series rings and a Florida condominium due to their involvement in other ongoing litigation. A hearing is scheduled to address the condominium’s status. “We are proud that our clients will finally begin to receive some of the compensation to which they are entitled for Giuliani’s actions. This outcome should send a powerful message that there is a price to pay for those who choose to intentionally spread disinformation.” Giuliani filed for bankruptcy following the ruling, but the case was dismissed due to his failure to comply with court orders. His appeal to delay asset sales was denied, reflecting the court’s determination to ensure Freeman and Moss receive proper compensation. Critics have pointed to Giuliani’s inability to pay and described his conduct as uncooperative. The court stressed that luxury living should not continue in parallel with debt obligations. Rudy Giuliani has been ordered to turn over his Manhattan apartment and valuables to the former Georgia election workers he defamed. https://t.co/4ybBF949YV — Breaking News (@BreakingNews) October 22, 2024 Public Reaction and Broader Implications This ruling sets a precedent for addressing the spreading of misinformation. Judge Lewis Liman remarked, “The Court also does not doubt that certain of the items may have sentimental value to Defendant. But that does not entitle Defendant to continued enjoyment of the assets to the detriment of the Plaintiffs to whom he owes approximately $150 million. It is, after all, the underlying policy of these New York statutes that ‘no man should be permitted to live at the same time in luxury and in debt’.” This emphasizes the importance of accountability in the dissemination of false claims. The case serves as a notable example of the legal and financial repercussions of spreading information that is proven to be false. The outcome underlines a critical period in political discourse, reflecting a broader societal push for accountability and the challenge of combating misinformation.
