Baker Creates Stunningly Realistic Replica Of “Pesto” The Viral Penguin Sensation

A “Pesto” cake may not sound very tasty, but it’s actually both delicious and adorable! That’s because it’s not named after the pasta sauce, but after the precious baby penguin that’s been taking the internet by storm. Amanda, better known as Baking Thursdays on social media, shared a mesmerizing video of the decorating process behind her cute, animal-shaped pastry. The finished product bears a striking resemblance to the celebrity bird! @bakingthursdays pesto the giant baby #pesto #penguin #cake #bakingthursdays ♬ gilmore lala – <3 Pesto the baby penguin went viral online for his record-breaking size when Sea Life Melbourne Aquarium revealed that this chick was the largest they’d ever seen. In fact, the hatchling outgrew adult penguins in a matter of months! Amanda’s cake looks exactly like Pesto, from his round shape to his soft, downy coat. When she finished decorating the baby bird in her video, she gave her creation a gentle pat on the head. This cute clip has received over a million views! Commenters loved the baker’s sugary rendition of the beloved penguin. “GUYS THAT’S PESTO,” exclaimed one user. Another suggested that Amanda create a “life-sized Pesto cake.” Can you imagine how much that would cost to make? At nine months of age, this baby bird weighed 46 pounds! Pesto isn’t the only famous animal that this baker has immortalized in fondant, though. Amanda also baked a hilariously accurate replica of Moo Deng, everyone’s favorite pygmy hippo! In her caption, she joked that she would never be able to eat the sweet creature, even though it was made of cake. @bakingthursdays gonna need to put this in resin or something because I can’t eat her #moodeng #pygmy #hippo #cake #bakingthursdays ♬ September – Earth, Wind & Fire “Gonna need to put this in resin or something because I can’t eat her,” Amanda wrote. Nobody can blame this baker for not wanting to take a bite of her adorable creations. Not only are these cakes works of art, but they look just like the real-life Pesto and Moo Deng! It looks like there’s a downside to making your pastries too cute to eat. You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Throne and Liberty’s first Arch Boss hasn’t gone down well, but they’ll return

Once you get into an MMO's endgame, that's when the best gear starts showing up. Whether you're grinding, crafting, or fighting the toughest bosses available, there are plenty of ways to get on top. For Throne and Liberty, it's the world-spawning Arch Bosses. Appearing once a week, they're tough and grueling encounters that entire servers can get involved in. Therein lies the problem, though, as the sheer volume of players in one place at one time has already caused issues. This week, I’ve been reading about Simone Giertz and billionaire assistants and Checo Pérez and Call Her Daddy, learning about “Earthrise,” listening to Quinta Brunson and Conan O’Brien talk comedy, trying to decide whether to get super into Bluesky or just quit social altogether, and throwing myself into baseball so I can pretend I know what I’m talking about during the World Series.
