One Woman’s Dedicated Journey To Share Special Tea With All Of Ireland

When this woman decided to realize her dream of owning a matcha bar in Ireland, she had no idea where she was going to open it. Half a year later, she was serving a long line of excited customers! Elaine Fitzsimons documented everything in between on social media, and her story is pretty amazing. Her entrepreneurial journey even took her across the world in search of the perfect matcha experience! Screengrab from TikTok It all started when Elaine realized that she’d never seen a matcha bar in Dublin, Ireland. In fact, she had a pretty tough time trying to get a good cup of this tea at local establishments. “I found it hard to get a consistent matcha in Dublin, probably because of the lack of knowledge about the tea, so I started to order it and make it at home,” she told the Irish Independent. Elaine decided to step up to the plate and show everyone what they were missing. She would open a matcha bar of her own! However, she didn’t want to serve her customers just any matcha. So, she embarked on a mission to learn everything she could about this delicious beverage. Screengrab from TikTok This matcha lover’s first stop was in London. Since she knew there were plenty of trendy matcha bars in that bustling metropolis, it seemed like the perfect place to do some research. Once she had a good idea of what the scene was like, she started taking steps to bring her own brand to life. Obviously, the most important part of Elaine’s matcha bar in Ireland was going to be the product. She ordered tons of different teas online for comparison. When that wasn’t enough, she flew to Japan to “get the best of the best right at the source.” This was also an incredible opportunity for her to see how matcha was properly grown, prepared, and served. Elaine was completely amazed when she tasted the difference! Screengrab from TikTok When Elaine returned to Ireland, everything began to fall into place for her matcha bar. She found a space for her business, which she quickly began to make her own. Meanwhile, she continued to perfect her product in anticipation of opening day. Despite a few minor hangups, The Matcha Bar celebrated its successful debut on July 13. It wasn’t an easy road, but Elaine finally made her dream a reality through hard work and perseverance. She was so thrilled to see people lining up to try her tea! Screengrab from TikTok Now, Elaine is the proud owner of one of the first matcha bars in Ireland, and her business is still running strong! How inspiring is that? You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. The post One Woman’s Dedicated Journey To Share Special Tea With All Of Ireland appeared first on InspireMore.

Death Calculator: AI to Predict Date of Death Based on ECG

The UK’s National Health Service (NHS) is set to conduct a groundbreaking experiment: beginning mid-next year, patients in two London wards will be able to discover their estimated life expectancy. The tool behind this innovation, known as AIRE (AI-ECG Risk Estimator), uses a standard electrocardiogram to predict a person’s risk of death within the next 10 years, achieving an accuracy rate of 78%. AIRE leverages artificial intelligence to detect subtle patterns in the heart’s electrical signals and matches these with genetic data on heart tissue. This allows the algorithm to not only assess current heart disease risk but also anticipate conditions like heart failure and arrhythmia long before they develop clinically. Dr Arunashis Sau, from Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and a lead investigator in the study, explained that AIRE aims to serve as a “superhuman” assistant for doctors, enhancing rather than replacing medical expertise. Sau noted that AI could help doctors catch subtle indicators that might otherwise go unnoticed. The trial will initially involve hundreds of patients, with plans to expand participation over time. If successful, AIRE could become a routine part of NHS care within five years. The study has shown promising results, with AIRE accurately predicting heart failure risk in nearly 80% of cases, offering hope that this tool could transform cardiology and save thousands of lives. This AI-driven initiative could mark a significant step toward a future where technology prevents disease before symptoms emerge.
