New research finds that marmots who experience adversity early in life have a lesser chance of survival.

A Carrie remake is in the works as Mike Flanagan is working on an Amazon Prime series inspired by the same Stephen King novel as the original. The film featuring Sissy Spacek and Piper Laurie came out in 1976, and more adaptions based on King’s book of the same name followed. There is not much detail about the cast or if the promised series will actually premiere, but Mike is known to have successfully adapted King’s works, Life of Chuck and Doctor Sleep, previously. Mike will also serve as executive producer should the project happen. What to expect from the ‘Carrie’ remake Carrie/Everett Joining Mike to do the Carrie remake is his partner from Intrepid Pictures, Trevor Macy. The Hollywood Reporter describes the developing series as a bold and timely reimagining of the original, directed by Brian De Palma. Mike has also received a commendation from renowned author King for his sequel to The Shining, Doctor Sleep, calling it an amazing watch, with a movie critic deeming it the best King adaptation since Shawshank Redemption. With this track record, fans can expect nothing less than a good watch should Mike’s plans become reality. Carrie/Everett ‘Carrie’ and after Carrie from the ‘70s was a hit, and still holds a 94% rating on Rotten Tomatoes; however, the 1999 sequel titled The Rage: Carrie 2 was a flop with 23%. Another TV movie adaptation featuring Angela Bettis was released in 2002, followed by Chloe Grace’s a decade later. Carrie/Everett Chloe’s got backlash from movie critics, who considered it underwhelming and unnecessary. The actress responded to the reviews, saying she did her best to own the character. She noted that it was a beautiful movie from her perspective, and other opinions are secondary.
