Harris Campaign Concerned About Potential Losses In Multiple Battleground States, NBC News Reports

According to NBC News, the Harris campaign expects potential losses in multiple battleground states as the 2024 election approaches.  The Democratic nominee’s team has expressed doubt she can hold all three states of the “blue wall” – Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. In particular, the campaign is concerned Wisconsin or Michigan will go to Trump. “There has been a thought that maybe Michigan or Wisconsin will fall off,” a senior Harris campaign official said, according to NBC News. The outlet noted Michigan is a bigger concern. Another sign that the @KamalaHarris campaign is convinced she's going to lose. Senior campaign official tells NBC they expect to lose Michigan or Wisconsin. Forget the spin about alternative paths to victory, if that happens, she's going to lose. pic.twitter.com/0s2gARx2gw — Victor Joecks (@VictorJoecks) October 22, 2024 Per NBC News: In Michigan, a large Arab and Muslim population has railed against the Biden administration’s handling of the Israeli-Gaza war, and elected Democrats there for months have issued warning signs about the presidential race. Late last month, Democratic Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a candidate for the Senate, warned that Harris was underwater in the state. Still, recent Democratic electoral success and some preliminary early voting in Michigan offer Harris hope of pulling it off. Two years ago, the party flipped the Legislature to give Democrats a trifecta for the first time in 40 years. In April, Democrats again won special elections to secure the chamber majority. Strong organization in the state on top of positive numbers with women has kept it close. In Wisconsin, where Biden won by just over 20,000 votes in 2020, there is concern among Democrats about white male voters and rural counties that have traditionally come out big for Trump. However, the liberal bastion of Dane County has ultimately come through for Democrats, and the so-called WOW counties, the voter-rich trio of counties outside Milwaukee, traditionally includes a high proportion of female voters whom Harris’ team sees as supportive. And organizers, including union members supportive of Harris, have crisscrossed the state, including in rural counties, canvassing in a way that dwarfs Trump’s organization. The Harris campaign feels less confident about winning North Carolina, which one official said seems to be “slipping away.” New: Kamala Harris campaign is bracing for potential losses in Michigan and North Carolina. Via: NBC pic.twitter.com/mlhQ3WE5XA — The Calvin Coolidge Project (@TheCalvinCooli1) October 22, 2024 Kamala’s campaign is panicking per NBC News. The “blue wall” is cracking and North Carolina looks bad too. https://t.co/780LnFkgc7 — Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) October 22, 2024 Cont. from NBC News: While North Carolina is still in the campaign’s sights and Democrats maintain strong organization and leadership there, the Harris team is far less bullish about victory, four people with knowledge of the dynamics said. “Of all of the seven [states], that one seems to be a little bit slipping away,” the Harris campaign official said of North Carolina. Hurricane Helene’s destruction — and the rampant disinformation that followed it — are factors that could weigh against Harris in North Carolina, these people said. One of the sources also pointed to a less competitive race for governor as a potential factor. A series of scandals upended Republican candidate Mark Robinson’s campaign, putting him far behind Democrat Josh Stein in polling; those developments have meant less local investment and intensity on the ground, that person said. Polling after Hurricane Helene shows Harris falling behind Trump in North Carolina. Donald Trump has a 52% chance of winning, according to the Decision Desk HQ forecast. pic.twitter.com/6SZeT2IazI — Decision Desk HQ (@DecisionDeskHQ) October 21, 2024 A closer look: Republicans are also projected to win majorities in both houses of Congress. From Decision Desk HQ: Donald Trump is now a slight favorite to win the 2024 presidential race, though the outcome remains a tossup. The former Republican president has gained a lead in polling averages in Wisconsin and Michigan, adding to his existing advantages in Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina. However, polling in the seven key battleground states—Nevada, Arizona, Georgia, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin—remains within the margin of error, meaning typical polling inaccuracies could shift the results in either direction. These states are expected to be decisive in determining which candidate reaches the crucial 270 electoral votes. Currently, neither Trump nor Harris has a clear lead in enough states to secure that number. Republicans maintain their advantage in our forecast to win majorities in both houses of Congress. Following reporting of third-quarter fundraising reports our model gives the GOP a 71% chance of a majority in the Senate and a 54% chance of retaining control of the House. In the Senate, our forecast favors the GOP to flip two Democratic seats (Montana and West Virginia) and one Democratic held seat as a Tossup (Ohio). Democrats are not favored to flip and GOP seats. Our House Forecast rates 16 seats as Tossups (with 8 slightly favoring the GOP and 8 slightly favoring Democrats. Another 12 seats are rated as Lean (7 favoring the GOP and 5 favoring Democrats).

“MATHEMATICALLY UNSTEALABLE”: Early Voting Shows President Trump May Secure The Election BEFORE Election Day!

I have VERY good news to share with everyone… Early voting data is surging and showing support for President Trump that is off the charts! In fact, Mark Halperin says if this continues the election will become “mathematically unstealable” because the Democrats will not be able to do well enough on Election Day to make up the gap! In other words….TOO BIG TO RIG! Check it out here: Trump is surging! The early vote numbers continue to be catastrophic for the Dems, and it is starting to cause a widespread panic. Halperin says, “If this continues, Donald Trump can’t lose, because the Democrats can’t possibly do well enough on Election Day”. Spicer says,… pic.twitter.com/rHkP79lZuh — DailyNoah.com (@DailyNoahNews) October 22, 2024 Trump is surging! The early vote numbers continue to be catastrophic for the Dems, and it is starting to cause a widespread panic. Halperin says, “If this continues, Donald Trump can’t lose, because the Democrats can’t possibly do well enough on Election Day”. Spicer says, “The data is unbelievable. It’s almost too good to be true.” These are not polls. These are not betting markets. These are the actual votes coming in. Trump’s early turnout is unprecedented for a Republican, and if the trend continues, Trump may have the White House secure before Election Day, making it mathematically un-stealable, a.k.a. “Too Big To Rig”. The early numbers indicate the Trump base is energized and motivated, while the Dems are struggling, and the early vote is normally their strong suit. This does not mean the election is over, but the early numbers suggest Trump is trending SUBSTANTIALLY better than he was at this time in 2016 and 2020. The video clip above is part of a longer “Morning Meeting” with Mark Haalperin, Sean Spicer and Dan Turrentine from this morning. You can watch the entire video here if you like: Jovan Pulitzer advised me AGAINST early voting and it made complete sense…. Jovan says when you vote early you let them know just how many votes they need to “find” in order to overcome that vote. It’s like tipping your hand to the fox in the hen house, Jovan says.  And that makes perfect sense. But President Trump has been very vocal about telling everyone to vote early! And perhaps this was his plan all along… Build up such a massive lead and so much momentum that it makes it “mathematically unstealable” and puts the election out of touch even before election day! Here are more details on the massive early lead for President Trump, from Newsweek: With early voting turnout breaking records in key battleground states, a large number of Republican voters are showing up, potentially paving the way for a win by former President Donald Trump, according to veteran political journalist Mark Halperin. Speaking on Tuesday’s episode of the Morning Meeting podcast, Halperin discussed reports suggesting Republicans are outperforming Democrats in early voting, particularly in battleground states like Nevada and North Carolina. “If the early vote numbers stay the way they are—and that’s a big if—we’ll almost certainly know before Election Day who’s going to win,” Halperin said. “Make no mistake, if these numbers hold up in the states where we can partially understand the data, we’ll know Donald Trump is going to win on Election Day,” he added. Republicans used to excel at early voting before Trump turned against mail-in voting in 2020, spreading baseless conspiracy theories about the process and encouraging his supporters to vote on Election Day instead. However, the party is once again pushing its voters to cast ballots early, with Trump endorsing the change. “I’m telling everyone to vote early,” Trump said last week on a radio show hosted by conservative Dan Bongino, who has widely spread false claims about early voting and the 2020 election. Republicans seem to be responding. In North Carolina, where Democrats had an edge of more than 30 percentage points in early voting at this point in 2022, they are ahead by just 1 percentage point this year. In Nevada, where Democrats have traditionally relied on a strong early vote to counter GOP Election Day turnout, about 1,000 more Republicans than Democrats have cast early ballots this year. Despite these trends, the implications for the election remain unclear. Early vote data only reveals party registration, not how voters cast their ballots. The makeup of early voters can shift from day to day, and what seems like a trend in early voting may change once Election Day ballots are counted. While Halperin cautions that these early numbers could be “overread,” he also noted that every analyst he’s spoken to in the last 24 hours has said that if this trend continues, Trump’s chances of winning are very high. “If this continues, Donald Trump can’t lose because the Democrats won’t be able to do well enough on Election Day,” Halperin said. For even more, check this out…. Halperin was on with Tucker Carlson six days ago, and it’s a must see. Enjoy:

CDC Says E. Coli Outbreak In Multiple States Linked To McDonald’s Burgers – 10 Hospitalizations, 1 Death

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said an E. coli outbreak in multiple states is linked to McDonald’s Quarter Pounders. It’s unknown what specific ingredient in the hamburgers caused people to become sick. The public health agency has reported 49 cases, 10 hospitalizations, and one death across 10 states. “McDonald’s has pulled ingredients for these burgers, and they won’t be available for sale in some states,” the CDC stated in a food safety alert. Investigators are trying to confirm which ingredient is making people sick and if it went to other restaurants or stores. “McDonald’s has stopped using fresh slivered onions and quarter pound beef patties in several states to protect their customers while a source of illness is confirmed,” the CDC added. “The majority of those affected are from Colorado, which has 27 cases, and Nebraska, which has 9. Ten people have been hospitalized, and one older individual in Colorado has died. Additionally, one child is currently hospitalized,” Rawsalerts wrote. “Everyone interviewed reported eating at McDonald’s before their illness began, with many specifically mentioning having a Quarter Pounder. Following this news, McDonald’s shares have dropped 10% in after-hours trading,” the post added. #BREAKING: Over 49 people are sick and one has died from a severe E. coli outbreak linked to McDonald’s #UnitedStates | #USA The CDC is reporting that over 49 people from 10 states have become severely ill due to an E. coli outbreak. The CDC said that recent illnesses may not have been reported yet as “it usually takes 3 to 4 weeks to determine if a sick person is part of an outbreak.” Symptoms of E. coli infection include high fever, severe stomach cramps, diarrhea and vomiting. Cases have been reported in Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Oregon, Utah, Wisconsin and Wyoming. “E. New, Very Serious Allegations of Plagiarism Against Harris

Based on an analysis by the Washington Free Beacon, Kamala Harris is accused of lifting text “verbatim” from a former colleague for use in written congressional testimony she gave in 2007. That’s the kind of plagiarism that derailed Joe Biden’s presidential in 1987, and it could derail hers. She was recently accused of lying about working […] The post New, Very Serious Allegations of Plagiarism Against Harris appeared first on www.independentsentinel.com.

Facebook Says It Mistakenly Blocked GOP Senate Candidate’s Ad About Protecting Women’s Sports

Facebook admitted Tuesday that it mistakenly removed an ad from Michigan Republican Senate candidate Mike Rogers that called to keep men out of women’s sports. The Rogers campaign told The Daily Wire that the ad — which slams Rogers’ opponent, Rep. Elissa Slotkin, for supporting trans-identifying men competing against women — was posted to Facebook last Friday before Meta took it down. With just around two weeks until the election, the Rogers campaign repeatedly tried to post the ad, but it was removed by the social media platform three more times over the weekend. According to the Rogers campaign, Facebook’s parent company initially said the ad was removed for “Unacceptable Business Practices,” but then clarified that the ad was removed “incorrectly” by the tech giant’s “automated review systems.” The ad hits Slotkin over her support for the Equality Act, which seeks to allow boys to play in girls’ sports. Rogers re-posted the ad — which was made by the political action committee, Michigan Victory Committee — on X Monday, writing, “Time and again, big tech activists at Facebook have REMOVED our ad exposing Slotkin’s failures to protect our daughters. Biological men should not compete in women’s sports. This is about FAIRNESS for our daughters and privacy for women.” “Thankfully, people like @ElonMusk believe in free speech and that voters deserve to know the truth,” Rogers added. Thankfully, people like… https://t.co/M5WuqyjlPH — Mike Rogers (@MikeRogersForMI) October 21, 2024 A Meta spokesman confirmed in a statement to The Daily Wire that the removal “was an error and the ad was restored.” The tech giant has increasingly relied on artificial intelligence (AI) for content moderation, especially after the COVID pandemic and vaccine rollout. In 2021, Meta announced a new AI system “that can adapt more easily to take action on new or evolving types of harmful content faster.” “Harmful content continues to evolve rapidly — whether fueled by current events or by people looking for new ways to evade our systems — and it’s crucial for AI systems to evolve alongside it. But it typically takes several months to collect and label thousands, if not millions, of examples necessary to train each individual AI system to spot a new type of content,” Meta said at the time. “To tackle this, we’ve built and recently deployed Few-Shot Learner (FSL), an AI technology that can adapt to take action on new or evolving types of harmful content within weeks instead of months.” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ COMING TO DAILYWIRE+ OCT. 28 In the final week of the 2024 campaign, Meta “will also block new political, electoral and social issue ads” while allowing ads “that have previously run before this restriction period.” “Our rationale for this restriction period remains the same as it has since 2020: in the final days of an election, we recognize there may not be enough time to contest new claims made in ads,” Meta said. Rogers has recently gained ground on Slotkin, trailing by just 2.1 points as of Tuesday afternoon, according to the RealClearPolitics average.

Kamala Camp Scrambles To Navigate Cracks In The ‘Blue Wall’

Vice President Kamala Harris‘ campaign team is scrambling to navigate around possible cracks in the so-called “blue wall” — an effort that is only complicated further by the fact that only two weeks remain until Election Day. NBC News Senior National Political Reporter Natasha Korecki published a report on the topic early Tuesday morning, and she shared a few of the key takeaways in a post on X. “NEW: Harris campaign is privately flagging potential cracks in the Blue Wall,” she posted, adding a list of key points. “Discussions of an anomaly w/Blue Wall and not all states falling in the same direction. Hasn’t happened since 1988; Concerns centered on MI, 3 sources tell us (campaign pushes back and say they’re gonna win MI); Warning signs in North Carolina. ‘Of all of the seven [states], that one seems to be a little bit slipping away,’ a Harris campaign official said of North Carolina.” NEW: Harris campaign is privately flagging potential cracks in the Blue Wall. – Discussions of an anomaly w/Blue Wall and not all states falling in the same direction. This from a longtime Democratic… — Natasha Korecki (@natashakorecki) October 22, 2024 “Early signs of Black voting down in N.C.,” Korecki noted — but then suggested that former President Donald Trump’s decision to remain in North Carolina for another day meant he believed he needed to rally more support. “Good signs for Dems: Trump is spending another day in N.C., indicating he needs to shore it up 14 days to election. Democrats have the strongest org in NC they’ve had in awhile in the state.” Trump has spent a fair amount of time in North Carolina, meeting with first responders and residents who were impacted by the devastating Hurricane Helene. With just days to go in the 2024 election cycle, Harris is also facing polls that indicate her support from black voters — particularly black men — is slipping. If recent polls prove to be accurate, Harris will have less support from black voters than any Democrat in more than 50 years. No matter how you splice the data, Trump seems to be the strongest Republican with Black voters since 1960. Young Black men in particular have trended right during Trump's runs (cutting the Dem margin by 40 pts from 2012).
