HBO announced during New York Comic Con today that the show would premiere on November 17, 2024 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and will also be available then to stream on Max. To further celebrate the occasion, we also got a new trailer for the six-episode prequel series, which takes place roughly 10,000 years before Paul Atreides was born and is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune, written by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. Unlike the first trailer, which tees up the goals of the sisters, this one gives us more of the forces working against the burgeoning Bene Gesserit, specifically Mark Strong’s Emperor Javicco Corrino and Travis Fimmel’s Desmond Hart. Both want to see the sisterhood destroyed, with Hart in particular appearing to have some special power to do so.
