Frank Hurley’s Photographs of Shackleton’s Disastrous Endurance Expedition

Explorer Ernest Shackleton’s Imperial Trans-Antarctic Expedition – better known as the Endurance Expedition – launched in the summer of 1914. On 18 January 1915, Endurance became trapped in the ice of the Weddell Sea. The crew worked and lived on the ice surrounding the ship, trying to carefully navigate Endurance through the ice before it eventually sank, forcing the crew to flee across the ice to safety. Endurance wouldn’t be seen again for 107 years, until she was discovered in the waters of Antarctica during the Endurance22 expedition. Among the crew of the Endurance was the Australian photographer Frank Hurley, who documented many aspects of the ill-fated voyage on film and in still photographs. As the negatives were heavy and the crew were marooned waiting for rescue, Hurley had to destroy or discard many of the images he captured. Some of Hurley’s negatives survived the treacherous journey home, however. Here are 15 of Hurley’s iconic images of the Endurance Expedition. Lights and ropes were attached to ice mounds to help the ship move through the ice.   Navigating Endurance through the ice.Image Credit: Royal Geographical Society/Alamy Stock Photo Over 5,000 men responded to the advertisement “Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition in event of success”. 56 were carefully selected and split into two teams of 28, one on the Endurance and one on the Aurora. After the expedition, Cheetham returned home to Hull where he was informed that his son had been lost at sea. He then enlisted in the Mercantile Marine, serving on the SS Prunelle where, on 22 August 1918, the ship was torpedoed and Cheetham was killed. Crean had taken part in 3 major Antarctic expeditions with this being his last. After returning home to County Kerry, he retired from naval service, started a family and opened a pub.   Dr Leonard Hussey and Samson.Image Credit: Royal Geographical Society/Alamy Stock Photo The team was not just made up of humans, 100 dogs from Canada accompanied the crew. The dogs were cross-breeds from strong dogs including wolves, collies and mastiffs that would help pull crew and supplies across the ice. After the crew was left stranded on the ice, the men made the dogs igloos – or dogloos as the crew named them – for the dogs to live in. The men formed incredibly close bonds with their dogs. After the Endurance sank and the men became trapped on the ice, they made the difficult decision to shoot the dogs. Shackleton said that “it was the worst job that we had had throughout the Expedition, and we felt their loss keenly”. The conditions of work were even more challenging when facing the harsh climate of Antarctica. Hurley captured a game of football that was played to pass the time.Image Credit: Royal Geographical Society/Alamy Stock Photo The frustrations felt by the crew after becoming trapped in the ice could have led to low morale. To keep their spirits up, the crew would play games including chess and enjoy dinners together. It was important that the men had a hearty meal for energy and warmth but to also ensure that supplies were kept to last the entire expedition. You can see from this photograph that the crew appear to be tucking into a plate of baked beans! Shackleton and the crew even sat down for a Christmas dinner in 1914 that included a feast of turtle soup, christmas pudding, rum, stout and whitebait. Remarkably, all members of the crew survived and enough supplies were saved to set up camps on the ice.   Members of the team arriving on Elephant Island.Image Credit: Royal Geographical Society/Alamy Stock Photo Due to the ice beginning to crack, the crew had to journey to a new location, Elephant Island, to make camp. After 497 days at sea in desperate search of land, they landed on Elephant Island on 15 April 1916.  Though the Island was not their first choice, due to its treacherous landscape and inhospitable climate, the men were overjoyed to finally be on land. A hut was made on Elephant Island out of the two remaining boats Starcomb Wills and Dudley Docker which sheltered 22 men for 4 months. When food started to become scarce, the crew would hunt and eat the wildlife of Antarctica including seals and penguins. The crew also had to endure ill health and frostbite as well as not knowing if they will be rescued or if they will die before help arrives. Cocker-Pei (Cocker Spaniel & Shar-Pei Mix): Info, Pictures, Care Guide & Facts

Click to Skip Ahead Characteristics Temperament & Intelligence Food & Diet Exercise Training Grooming Health Fun Facts When a Shar-Pei is crossed with a Cocker Spaniel, the result is a medium-sized dog with a very distinctive set of physical features. A large, rounded snout, a wrinkled face that is a little more smoothed-out than the Shar Pei parents, and short and fuzzy or medium-length coats appear to be common characteristics, but a mixed breed’s appearance can vary greatly. This mix is commonly referred to as a “Cocker-Pei”, though some sources use the term “Mini Hippo”, which we think is pretty fitting. In this guide, we’ll explore the Cocker-Pei’s parent breeds to learn more about this extraordinary mix and what to expect if you adopt one. Breed Overview Height:13.5–20 inches Weight:20–60 pounds Lifespan:8–14 years Colors:A very wide variety, including (but not limited to) black, brown, fawn, buff, red, blue (and various combinations of these colors), various dilute shades and combinations, and various sable combinations Suitable for:Any person, couple, or family willing to socialize the dog, ensure all their needs are met, and offer plenty of love Temperament:Calm, highly intelligent, devoted, dignified, chirpy, playful (traits will vary from dog to dog) The color possibilities for Shar-Peis and Cocker Spaniels are so vast that really, anything could happen. Your Cocker-Pei may be solid-colored or a mix of two or three colors, and possible markings include mask, brindle, points, white, roan, and more. This diversity adds another layer of uniqueness to this mix. They also vary in height and weight. While Cocker Spaniels are on the lighter side and weigh up to 30 pounds (though females are more around the 20–25 pound mark), Shar Peis can weigh up to 60 pounds (males). Therefore, the middle ground would be around 40 pounds, though there’s no way to know for sure until the dog has finished growing. Cocker-Pei Characteristics   Cocker-Pei Puppies View this post on Instagram A post shared by Citipups (@citipupsnyc) There are breeders who specialize in “Mini Hippos”. That said, we would always encourage adoption over going this route. There are countless shelter puppies and dogs—including some very adorable and unique-looking mixed breeds—waiting for a home, so we urge you to consider looking into this option before you buy. If you like Shar-Peis and/or Cocker Spaniels, you could try searching for something like “Shar-Pei (mix) for adoption” or “Cocker Spaniel (mix) for adoption” or reach out to rescue organizations to ask. You might not find a Mini Hippo specifically, but you could find someone else you fall in love with. If you’re determined to buy a Shar-Pei Cocker Spaniel puppy from a breeder, learn as much about that breeder as you possibly can to ensure they engage in ethical practices and have a solid reputation. What’s more, note that Shar-Peis are short-snouted dogs, which means they’re at risk of suffering from breathing difficulties, and their wrinkly skin can get infected. Though these issues might not affect a Shar-Pei mix as much as they would a purebred, that’s not a guarantee. Speak to your vet, rescue organization, or a reputable breeder about these issues. Image Credit: Left – Marcelino Pozo Ruiz, Shutterstock | Right – lkoimages, Shutterstock Temperament & Intelligence of the Cocker-Pei The most important thing to remember when it comes to discussing a dog’s temperament is that every dog is an individual—just because a dog is of a certain breed doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll “fit the bill” in terms of personality traits commonly associated with that breed. For example, Shar-Peis are known for being very calm, dignified, and reserved around strangers but some may have a goofy personality and be very friendly with strangers. A good rule to go by is to get to know the dog before you make any judgments. However, it’s true that certain traits are commonly associated with certain breeds, and these generalizations come from what’s known about the breed’s history, what owners report, and what they were originally bred for. In addition to being calm, Shar-Peis are famous for being independent yet devoted to their families. Cocker Spaniels are said to be sweet-natured, merry, playful, and fairly open toward strangers. It’s possible that your Mini Hippo will have a mix of these traits. Are These Dogs Good for Families? When you bring a new dog home, it’s imperative to begin socializing and training them to ensure they get along well with the whole family and can approach social situations with confidence and calmness. If you do this, there’s absolutely no reason why a Shar-Pei Cocker Spaniel mix wouldn’t be a loving and gentle member of the family. As well as teaching the dog how to be gentle and friendly, it’s crucial to teach children how to respectfully interact with the dog. These steps keep everyone safe and help your dog feel secure and loved, which is important for building those important bonds. If you plan to adopt an adult dog, communicate with the rescue organization to make sure the dog would be a good fit for families with children. Some rescue dogs are better suited to adult-only families. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lua (@luatheminihippo) Does This Mix Get Along with Other Pets? If a Cocker-Pei has been around other dogs and cats from an early age, chances are they’ll get along well with them. Again, it all starts with socialization. Gradual, controlled introductions are also essential when bringing any new animal home. What’s more, harmonious cohabitation between animals can also depend on the individual animals’ personalities. For adult adoptees, discuss the dog’s background with the rescue organization to ascertain whether they’d likely get along well in a home with other animals or would be better suited to being the only animal in the home. Things to Know When Owning a Cocker-Pei: Food & Diet Requirements You can choose to feed your Cocker-Pei a wet food or dry food diet or go for a combination of both. It’s entirely up to you (unless your vet has recommended a specific kind of diet for medical reasons), but you should check that the formula you’ve chosen meets certain requirements. Most importantly, it should be complete and balanced, which means it meets all your dog’s nutritional needs. If you’re in the United States, you can look for an AAFCO label, which means it meets the stringent requirements to be considered complete and balanced. In addition, your chosen recipe should target your dog’s age range (puppy, adult, etc.), and you’ll want to check the ingredients to ensure it doesn’t contain any ingredients your dog is allergic to. When it comes to how much to feed, check the label on the packaging and weigh out portions accordingly. These guidelines are in place to help prevent obesity, which can cause other serious health conditions if not addressed. Exercise Shar-Peis are dogs with moderate energy levels, whereas Cocker Spaniels are known for being a little more effervescent. Regardless, individual dogs have individual needs. You can exercise your Cocker-Pei with two or three daily walks, but you can also play games like fetch and let them play with other dogs to supplement these walks. Be careful when exercising your Cocker-Pei during the summer months. Shar-Peis are prone to overheating, so make sure your mix stays hydrated, doesn’t exercise too strenuously, and has plenty of opportunities to cool off. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Honi | Pule | Haku (@honihonihippo) Training While Cocker Spaniels are said to be people-pleasers when it comes to training, Shar-Peis are reputed to be willing but stubborn at times, though they typically respond well to positive reinforcement and a patient approach. Whatever your Cocker-Pei’s personality, start with the basics and reinforce them regularly, even when the dog knows them well. Avoid getting frustrated when things don’t go to plan—these things don’t happen overnight. Calmness, consistency, and a positive attitude will make things work, even if it takes a bit of time. Consider signing your pup up for obedience classes for a good head start. Grooming Shar-Peis don’t require much grooming thanks to their short coats, but Cocker Spaniels have long coats prone to tangling. If your Cocker-Pei has longer hair, they’ll need to be combed regularly throughout the entire coat. Pick apart knots with your fingers rather than yanking a comb through, and take special care around the ears as this is a sensitive area on Cocker Spaniels that can be injured if brushed too hard. In addition, you’ll need to keep your Cocker-Pei’s nails short to prevent the feet from getting sore and inspect the ears regularly for dirt buildup. Remove this with a dog-safe ear-cleaning solution if need be. Health and Conditions You might have heard that mixed-breed dogs are healthier, but research has shown that while pure breeds are at greater risk of several hereditary disorders, both pure and mixed-breed dogs are at equal risk of developing certain other conditions. We’ll list some of these below. In addition—and more to the point—Shar-Peis are brachycephalic because they have short snouts, and this causes breathing difficulties and makes them sensitive to heat. They can also suffer from skin infections due to bacterial buildup in their folds. Your Cocker-Pei may inherit some of these issues, though it’s possible that they’ll be milder in a mixed breed. However, it’s hard to predict exactly which traits mixed breeds will inherit and how severe they will be. Again, we’d strongly urge discussing this with an expert. Minor Conditions Mild skin conditions that receive treatment Serious Conditions Hip dysplasia Brachycephalic airway syndrome Eye conditions (including glaucoma) Cancer Heart conditions (including mitral valve dysplasia) Thyroid conditions Skin infections Male vs Female Male dogs are typically taller and heavier than females. Apart from this and the obvious physical differences related to the reproductive system, there aren’t really many noticeable differences between males and females. It all comes down to the individual dog’s personality. As for the issue of reproduction, we’d urge you to speak to your vet about getting your Cocker-Pei neutered or spayed when they’re old enough. Male dogs can become harder to manage when they’re not neutered for hormonal reasons, and possibilities include fighting with other dogs, roaming, mounting, and general territorial behavior. Females can also become more challenging when they’re in heat. Common behaviors associated with the heat cycle include urinating frequently, restlessness, becoming extra clingy, and agitation. Vulval swelling and bleeding are also normal during this time.   4 Little-Known Facts About the Cocker-Pei 1. The Shar-Pei Is an Ancient Breed The Shar-Pei was developed in southern China over 2,000 years ago during the Han Dynasty. They were bred as farm dogs to herd and guard but were also valued for their hunting skills. 2. “Cocker” Has a Special Meaning The “cocker” portion of the breed name “Cocker Spaniel” is a reference to the breed’s history as a woodcock hunter. Easier to guess, “spaniel” refers to Spain, where spaniel-type dogs are thought to have first come from. 3. Shar-Peis Have Blue-Black Tongues Blue-black tongues are very uncommon in dogs, so uncommon that only two breeds display this trait: the Shar Pei and the Chow Chow, another ancient Chinese breed. 4. The Cocker Spaniel One of Britain’s Most Popular Breeds Statistics from 2022 rank the Cocker Spaniel as the third leading dog breed in the U.K. These statistics were compiled based on how many dogs of 20 breeds were registered in 2022. Ahead of the Cocker Spaniel were French Bulldogs (second place) and Labrador Retrievers (first place). In the U.S., the Cocker Spaniel is ranked at number 29 out of 200 on the AKC’s breed popularity ranking. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Milo (@milotheminihippo) Final Thoughts The Shar-Pei-Cocker Spaniel combination is incredibly unique and, with care and attention on your part, is sure to be a wonderful family companion. That said, because of the health issues linked to Shar Peis (breathing issues and wrinkly skin that can get infected), it’s essential to discuss this fully with the organization or breeder your dog comes from. Blaze News original: Damning new database names and shames hospitals that have subjected thousands of kids to sex-change mutilations

Do No Harm is a medical advocacy group that works with health care professionals, hospital administrators, patients, policymakers, and others to reverse the ideological capture of medicine and medical education. Since 2022, DNH — which comprises members across all 50 states and in 14 countries — has focused primarily on curbing two harmful ideological currents in particular: DEI-branded racism and radical gender ideology. DNH made a major strategic play last week to help expose the latter. The organization launched the Stop the Harm database Tuesday, revealing precisely which hospitals and medical facilities around the country are presently subjecting thousands of vulnerable children to sex-change mutilations and sterilizing chemical treatments. Dr. Roy Eappen, an esteemed endocrinologist and senior fellow at Do No Harm who has spent over three decades treating patients, told Blaze News, "A lot of the activists in this field say things like, 'No children are getting these kinds of treatments, or there are very, very few.'" Eappen emphasized that the data say otherwise — and now the American public can see the offenders listed and victims tallied for themselves, all in one place. 'It is crucial every parent familiarizes themselves with this database.' DNH's national database, which provides breakdowns on a state-by-state and institutional basis, revealed that between 2019 and 2023, at least 13,994 children received sex-change medical interventions. "This first-of-its-kind project provides patients, families, and policymakers with a resource that reveals the pervasiveness of irreversible sex-change treatments for minors in America," Dr. Stanley Goldfarb, chairman of DNH, said in a statement. "The StopTheHarmDatabase.com that the incredible group Do No Harm put together is an incredible body of work," said Alvin Lui, president of the parental rights advocacy group Courage Is a Habit. "It is crucial every parent familiarizes themselves with this database." DNH researchers analyzed publicly available insurance claims data "from an all-payer claims database that incorporated data from clearinghouses, data aggregators, payors, health systems, CMS, and multiple open data sources" as well as from commercial insurance, Medicaid, Medicare , and VA claims concerning confirmed sex-change-related treatments for minors ages 0 to 17.5. They determined that a staggering 5,747 American children were subjected to sex-change mutilations over that short period. Meanwhile, 62,682 prescriptions for sterilizing hormones and puberty blockers were written for 8,579 pediatric patients. "That doesn't sound like a huge number, but I think it's way too many," said Dr. Eappen. These figures are minimums as the researchers have admittedly only just scratched the surface. 'This data represents the tip of the iceberg.' Dr. Eappen noted that the Kaiser Permanente health care consortium has, for instance, withheld its data concerning potential sex-change victims, and Lui noted that the "majority of transgender drugs and surgeries that are provided to children are still paid out of pocket." Dr. Goldfarb noted that while "this data represents the tip of the iceberg, this is the first step in holding the medical establishment accountable for participating in, and often times promoting, predatory and unscientific medical interventions for vulnerable children." Lui stressed that the "explosion of children getting sucked up into the cult since 2016 should frighten every parent in America." While the trend got progressively worse in 2021 and 2022, there were potential signs of the trend tapering off in 2023. Dr. Goldfarb told Blaze News: In the majority of states, we saw a spike in minors undergoing sex change treatments between 2021 and 2022. For example, California saw a more than 50% increase between that time (2021-363 patients, 2022-687 patients). PA saw an ~30% increase (2021:105, 2022: 332). The numbers started to decline slightly in 2023, but that is also around the time when many states began to pass legislation banning '[gender-affirming care].' AL was the first to pass legislation in 2022 and was one of the only states to see a decline in minors undergoing sex change treatments in 2022. Last year, however, Do No Harm observed a trend of fewer patients, "especially in states that have passed legislation banning 'GAC,'" said Goldfarb. "Our plan with the next iteration of the database is to analyze the 2024 data to see if these states are in fact following the law, and if there is a downward trend in the states that are still allowing 'GAC,' especially now that the danger of ideology is more widely known," added the DNH chairman. The current database makes abundantly clear that the mutilation and sterilization of America's youth is a profitable enterprise. Over $119.7 million was made during this period on child sex-change medical interventions. When asked whether money or ideology was the driving force behind the sex-change industry's medicalization of children, who in most cases would alternatively grow out of their confusion, Dr. Eappen said, "I think it's actually a confluence of the two." "Ideology is a big part of it. But you know, Marci Bowers, who's the chief of WPATH, which is the World Professional Association of Transgender Health, made a million dollars last year as a transgender surgeon," continued Dr. Eappen. "It can be quite a lucrative undertaking." 'You're also making children into patients for life.' Dr. Melanie Crites-Bachert, a urologist and osteopathic surgeon with expertise in pelvic reconstruction, recently provided Blaze News with some idea of how much surgery centers can make performing various sex-change mutilations. "A lot of these surgeries can be done in a surgery center. They are very lucrative with reimbursement," said Crites-Bachert. "If somebody were going to have an orchiectomy or castration — my former biller pulled up this information — the Medicare reimbursement is $324. To amputate a penis is $804. Now, keep in mind, therapeutically, you sometimes do need to amputate a penis if there's penile cancer or things like that, but purely amputating a penis is $804. A hysterectomy, an abdominal hysterectomy, is a little over $1,000. A vaginoplasty, which is basically reconstructing the vagina for things like trauma, is $1,161." Crites-Bachert indicated that these figures represent Medicare reimbursements for therapeutic procedures and that a surgery center can expect 150-200% reimbursement above that from commercial insurance if a patient has commercial insurance paying these procedures. "You're also making children into patients for life because a lot of these kids have complications from these kinds of surgery. And you're saying that they should be on their hormones basically forever," said Dr. Eappen. According to Grand View Research, the U.S. sex reassignment hormone therapy market size was an estimated $1.6 billion in 2022 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate of 4.05% until 2030. The Free Press noted that Planned Parenthood, whose business model has long appeared to be harming vulnerable human beings, is presently the country’s leading provider of sex-change hormones for young adults. The Insight Partners estimated that the global sex-change surgery market will grow to nearly $7 billion by 2031. Dr. Miriam Grossman, the board-certified child and adolescent psychiatrist who authored the 2023 book "Lost in Trans Nation: A Child Psychiatrist’s Guide Out of the Madness," told Blaze News in September that surgeons and pharmaceutical reps will not be the only ones cashing in on victims of the sex-change regime. Grossman noted that billions of dollars are "going to be made from reproductive technologies because we're producing a generation of sterilized people who are going to need egg and sperm donations. They're going to need IVF. They're going to need surrogates in order to have children." 'Medical gender reassignment does not have an impact on suicide risk.' While there are hospitals that have far higher child sex-change billings, DNH's Stop the Harm database indicated that the 12 worst-offending children's hospitals promoting sex-change treatments for minors are as follows: The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia; Connecticut Children's Medical Center; Children's Minnesota; Seattle Children's; Children's Hospital Los Angeles; Boston Children's Hospital; Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego; Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.; UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland; Children's Hospital Colorado; UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh; and Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Blaze News reached out to the top offenders above for comment but received a response only from Children's Hospital Los Angeles, which noted it was "declining participation" in this report. The continued medicalization of children is particularly egregious, not only because of the impossibility of getting informed consent from minor patients and in many cases their guardians — a troubling reality even WPATH scientists have admitted in private communications — but because of the ever-growing mountain of scientific literature indicating "gender-affirming care" is at best pseudoscience. Gender ideologues and profit-incentivized health professionals have long told parents with confused children that they must choose between a "dead son or a live daughter" or between a "living son or a dead daughter” — the suggestion being that ruinous chemical treatments and irreversible surgeries are solutions to a gender-dysphoric child's supposed suicidality. This claim has collapsed in recent years. A peer-reviewed study published in January in the esteemed quarterly journal BMJ Mental Health revealed that "medical gender reassignment does not have an impact on suicide risk." 'You've sentenced a whole bunch of children to infertility and many other problems.' "All-cause and suicide mortalities did not differ between those gender referred who had and had not proceeded to [sex-change surgeries] when psychiatric treatment history was accounted for," wrote the researchers. The suicide argument is not the only core gender ideology claim to have recently crumbled. Dr. Hilary Cass, an esteemed British medical doctor who previously served as president of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health, was commissioned by NHS England to lead a multi-year investigation into the U.K.'s sex-change regime, particularly its youth-facing services. Her final report came out earlier this year, revealing that where so-called gender science is concerned, "There is not a reliable evidence base upon which to make clinical decisions, or for children and their families to make informed choices." The Cass Review had the University of York undertake a series of systematic reviews on topic, which found that most of the "research" underpinning so-called gender science is of "poor quality," demonstrating "poor study design, inadequate follow-up periods and a lack of objectivity in reporting of results." In the case of the puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones apparently foisted on children by Boston Children's Hospital and other offending institutions, the review made clear that the uses "are unproven and benefits/harms are unknown." "In addition to this making it difficult for clinicians to know whether these are appropriate treatments to offer, it is also challenging to provide children, young people and families with sufficient information on which to make an informed choice," said the review. "The duty of information disclosure is complicated by many 'unknown unknowns' about the long-term impacts of puberty blocker and/or masculinizing/feminizing hormone during a dynamic developmental period when gender identity may not be settled." "I'm appalled that in North America, the Cass Review has not received more attention," Dr. Eappen told Blaze News. "[Dr. Cass] was neutral, and she basically came to the conclusion that most of this should not be done." Dr. Eappen suggested that the North American medical establishment is keen to ignore the mounting evidence of the sex-change regime's unscientific and harmful practices in part because of its ideological capture — a problem that not only affects medical institutions but various medical professional associations such as the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Endocrine Society. It may, however, also be a matter of guilt and liability. "When you've done things that are basically irreversible, it's very hard to say that you've done something wrong," said Dr. Eappen. "I mean, you've sentenced a whole bunch of children to infertility and many other problems. How can you say that you made a mistake?" Dr. Eappen indicated that for each of the victims tallied above, there are also parents who bear some responsibility, and it's "very hard to say that you've done something that's harmed your children." Chloe Cole, a senior DNH fellow and patient advocate, is among the many Americans victimized by the sex-change regime. Cole told the Florida Boards of Medicine and Osteopathic Medicine Joint Rules/Legislative Committee in 2022, "At 13, I started taking puberty blockers and testosterone. At 15, I underwent a double mastectomy in which my breasts were removed and my nipples were grafted. And yet, at 16, after years of medically transitioning, I came to realize I severely regretted my transition." Cole — who recently endorsed President Donald Trump "because he's committed to protecting children from these rash decisions" — said in a statement, "This new project from Do No Harm proves the lies from the medical establishment and radical politicians who argue that cases like mine are rare." "The stats in this database represent thousands of kids who are being treated like Guinea pigs for unproven, and sometimes dangerous, medical experiments," continued Cole. "I hope politicians and parents alike use this database to see where these treatments are happening and protect their children from being rushed into irreversible, life-altering treatments." When discussing the best ways to cripple the sex-change regime, Dr. Eappen told Blaze News that: DNH has helped several legislatures pass laws because if the medical field doesn’t self-regulate itself properly, I think it’s the responsibility of the government to do something about it. I would prefer not to pass laws — I would prefer that doctors look at the risk-benefit ratio and see that the risks outweigh the benefits and act accordingly. But if they're not going to do that, [laws] are one way. The other is lawsuits: make it expensive for them to continue with this kind of procedure. The Stop the Harm database might, in this regard, serve to provide a list of prospective institutional defendants as well as highlight states where children need legislative protection from the sex-change regime. Popular Diablo 4 Spiritborn build being nerfed as it ruins the game for everyone

One Diablo 4 Spiritborn build has been ruining the game for everyone else, so much so that Blizzard's about to nerf it. The Spiritborn Evade setup might not be Vessel of Hatred's most powerful, but far too many players are using it at once. It's so bad that Helltides and other events are completely ruined by lag, as players overuse the Storm Feathers ability so much that it slows down the servers. Silent Hill 2 gallows puzzle solutions

What are the Silent Hill 2 remake gallows answers? When you reach Toluca prison in the original Silent Hill 2, you must make a choice between right and wrong, and whether the reasoning for certain crimes committed makes them justifiable. It's an interesting segment and one that perfectly suits the guilty undertones of James' story. Things are taken up a notch in the Silent Hill 2 remake gallows puzzle, as you must complete six poems before making your choice. Depending on your chosen riddle difficulty in the puzzle game, there are different answers for each puzzle, one innocent and one not so innocent. That said, it's not as much of a head-scratcher as it is perhaps a moral quandry. If you're unsure, here's our Silent Hill 2 gallows puzzle walkthrough. Starfield and Skyrim dev says that Bethesda games could have more “polish”

Bethesda games are notorious for their bugs, particularly erstwhile classics like Fallout 4 and Skyrim. Though it's suffered from the occasional disappearing floor or faces, and might sometimes crash, Starfield remains less buggy than some of its Bethesda-built cousins. Nevertheless, in a new interview the space RPG's systems designer (and the lead designer of Skyrim) admits that the studio's games could "have a higher degree of polish."
