A teenager from Iowa is using his flying skills to help victims of Hurricane Helene. We do live in very divided, polarized times. There is strong, vehement disagreement on nearly every topic, issue, and subject imaginable. Take one look at the news or social media and you'll quickly be convinced. Getting people to agree on anything is basically impossible, essentially a fool's errand. 18-Year-Old Pilot Helping Those Impacted By Hurricane Helene Sadly, those deeply held thoughts, opinions and convictions are often expressed through mockery, abuse and downright hatred. Seeing so much pure, unadulterated hate and contempt for one another will soon make you wonder if everyone in society is like that. Is there anything that could possibly make people act more civil and kinder toward one another? Will people always and forever treat each other so horribly? RELATED: This Brave 5-Year-Old Saved Her Mother’s Life By Calling 911 Well, Nate Fackler, an 18-year-old high school senior from Iowa, shows that people still have the capacity to help one another, act kind and assist those in need. Nate is a licensed pilot, getting his license at just 17 years old. According to WQAD, the young man is now using his flying skills and knowledge in a selfless, humanitarian effort. He has been collecting items and other necessary supplies for those affected by Hurricane Helene. Then, he and another young, Connor Yawn, flew those donated materials to impacted individuals in North Carolina. Teenager Says He Felt Called By God To Help The Hurricane Victims WOI-DT, a TV station in Iowa, reports that Nate came up with the idea to fly a plane full of donated items after seeing other pilots in his area do something similar. Also, Nate added that he believes the good Lord has directed Him to help those impacted by the recent severe weather. But whenever disaster strikes, most people have a surprising ability to set these petty differences aside and help people who are hurting and in need.
