Biden-Harris Admin Files Lawsuit To Stop Virginia From ‘Removing Noncitizens From Voter Rolls’

The Biden-Harris administration announced on Friday that it was filing a lawsuit against the state of Virginia for enforcing voter integrity laws in the state that aim to curb illegal voting in elections. Assistant Attorney General Kristen Clarke, who has a history of espousing racist views, claimed without evidence that Virginia’s move to increase election integrity was an “eleventh hour effort” intended, in part, to “disenfranchise qualified voters.” The DOJ claimed that it was doing so because it was “too close to the Nov. 5 general election” to remove voters: Section 8(c)(2) of the NVRA, also known as the Quiet Period Provision, requires states to complete systematic programs aimed at removing the names of ineligible voters from voter registration lists no later than 90 days before federal elections. However, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin’s executive order requiring that non-citizens be removed from voter rolls was signed on August 7, 2024 — exactly 90 days before Election Day. The problem is the people who are being removed from the voter rolls are not, in fact, voters because they are not citizens, said Youngkin. “With less than 30 days until the election, the Biden-Harris Department of Justice is filing an unprecedented lawsuit against me and the Commonwealth of Virginia, for appropriately enforcing a 2006 law signed by Democrat Tim Kaine that requires Virginia to remove noncitizens from the voter rolls – a process that starts with someone declaring themselves a non-citizen and then registering to vote,” Youngkin said. Youngkin said that the lawsuit was a “desperate attempt to attack the legitimacy of the elections in the Commonwealth, the very crucible of American Democracy.” “With the support of our Attorney General, we will defend these commonsense steps, that we are legally required to take, with every resource available to us,” he added. “Virginia’s election will be secure and fair, and I will not stand idly by as this politically motivated action tries to interfere in our elections, period.”

Super Bowl-Winning Kicker Endorses Trump

Super Bowl-winning Kansas City Chiefs star Harrison Butker has now endorsed not one, but two political candidates after speaking out in support of former President Donald Trump. Speaking on Fox News’ “The Ingraham Angle” from a campaign event in Missouri for the reelection of Republican Sen. Josh Hawley, Butker voiced his support for Hawley and said he was also endorsing the most “pro-life” president, former President Trump, the New York Post reported. “I’m supporting the president that’s going to be the most pro-life president…Donald Trump. The [Pro-life] topic is the most crucial topic for me,” Butker said. ?3x Super Bowl Champ Kansas City Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker OFFICIALLY ENDORSES President Trump LIVE at Josh Hawley for Senate event during team’s bye week— defends his pro-life record as President: “I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn.” pic.twitter.com/mihRoKsUVD — Danny De Urbina (@dannydeurbina) October 11, 2024 “I want us to be fighting for the most vulnerable, fighting for the unborn, and that’s what we should prioritize…” he added. “I think you have to vote for whoever is gonna be the most pro-life and we have to be prayerful men that put God first. I think that’s what’s going to be best for our country.” Butker’s comments were similar to ones he made in a fundraising email from Hawley to his supporters, in which the Chiefs player announced that for the first time in his life he was endorsing a politician, as previously reported. “This is Harrison Butker — you may know me as a three-time World Champion kicker, but that’s just my day job,” Butker said in the email shared by Hawley. “At my core I am a husband, a father, and most importantly a Christian who cares about the future of our nation.” “I want to tell you about my friend Josh Hawley,” he added. “In a time when our nation is at a crossroads, Senator Hawley stands strong for many of the values that matter most to me and my family.” “He’s not just a Senator; he’s a devout Christian, a family man, and a fighter for so much we hold dear,” the message continued. “Josh Hawley is relentless in defending religious rights, fighting for the Constitution, and standing up for the most vulnerable among us—the unborn.” The Chiefs star said Hawley’s “commitment to the pro-life movement” is one reason he’s supporting him because he’s “the kind of leader who doesn’t back down when it matters most.” The NFL kicker made headlines earlier this year after he gave a commencement address at Benedictine College, a Catholic university in Kansas, in which he praised his wife for being a “homemaker,” called out President Joe Biden’s support for abortion, and criticized LGBT “Pride month.” The usual leftist stars slammed the comments and a Change.org petition was started calling for the three-time Super Bowl champion to be dismissed from the team. During his appearance with Ingraham, Butker said he didn’t regret his speech, the New York Post noted. Related: Harrison Butker Endorses Josh Hawley For Senate

Why America’s Journalists Are Wholly Unqualified To Report The News

After watching the news media’s coverage of this year’s presidential election, some people are saying that America’s journalists are wholly unqualified to report the news and should find more suitable employment, like cleaning the port-a-sans on those construction sites with very low sanitation standards until even the managers of these disgusting venues can no longer tolerate the steaming piles of unmitigated crap these journalists produce and not only fire them, but leave such scorching denunciations of their work on social media that they become unemployable and wind up wandering the deserted streets of some crumbling Democrat-run urban hellhole until, at last unable to tolerate the shame of being an American journalist, they hurl themselves into the nearest river where a crowd of the very audience they lied to gathers to watch them struggling against the tide and murmurs to one another, “Hey, isn’t that that sneering girly man who fact-checked Donald Trump’s facts with falsehoods during the last debate,” and other similar remarks that ultimately raise their level of righteous indignation to the point where they start hurling rotten vegetables at these former so-called journalists so that they not only float out to sea forever, but float out to sea covered in decaying lettuce and onions and good riddance, now maybe these stinkers will learn to tell the truth once in a while. But of course that’s only the opinion of some people. Other people just aren’t paying attention or they’re standing in the rain shaking their fists at the sky and shouting at the Jews to stop sending all these hurricanes. And now there’s been a new incident that has shaken the confidence of those people who still had confidence in the news media — a pretzel vendor named Studs Korchinski and his brother Harold, who sells counterfeit Rolexes. Some are now suggesting that “60 Minutes” may have edited Bill Whitaker’s recent interview with Kamala Harris. The differences are subtle but a close reading of the original versus the broadcast transcripts does reveal some small discrepancies. WATCH: The Andrew Klavan Show For instance, in the interview as broadcast on CBS, the transcript reads: Whitaker: Do you consider Benyamin Netanyahu an ally? Harris: I grew up in the middle class where people were proud of their lawns and billionaires have to pay their fair share. But in the original footage of the interview, the exchange is as follows: Whitaker: How many times do you have to stab that Jew in the back before he finally dies? Harris: Really, you should ask whether Israel is an ally. And of course no. They keep sending all these hurricanes. The transcript of another segment of the broadcast exchange reads:  Whitaker: How do you plan to fund your social agenda? Harris: It’s time for billionaires to pay their fair share of the middle class where I grew up on the lawn.  But the original version reads: Whitaker: Woman, who the hell’s gonna pay for all this useless crap? Harris: Listen, big mouth, I didn’t screw my way into this business to get interrogated by some clown who looks like he’s wearing John Bolton’s mustache for Halloween. When I pretend I’ll tax billionaires who’ve already moved to Luxemburg and give that imaginary money to people who can’t afford to buy a dozen eggs because Bidenomics has made them cost nearly as much as my belt buckle, your job is to nod and say, ”Great idea,” then move on. You should be more like that babe on Call Her Daddy and talk about pop tarting and other things I know something about. And finally, the transcript of the original broadcast reads: Whitaker: How will your policies differ from President Biden’s? Harris: It’s time for lawns to grow and pay their billionaires the fair share of the middle class. The original transcript reads: Whitaker: How will your policies differ from President Biden’s, bitch? Harris: Well, Biden is always staring around like a newborn and then rasping out these meaningless catchphrases, whereas I prefer to rasp out meaningless catchphrases then laugh maniacally, so that’s one big change right there. Also, when Jill slaps Joe, she’s trying to bring him back to consciousness, whereas when Doug slaps me it’s just because he’s a bastard. * * * This excerpt is taken from the opening satirical monologue of “The Andrew Klavan Show.” Andrew Klavan is the host of “The Andrew Klavan Show” at The Daily Wire. Walz Defends Drivers’ Licenses, Free Tuition, Healthcare for Illegal Immigrants: ‘We Have the Safest Roads’

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (D) is standing firm on his controversial policies that grant illegal immigrants access to drivers’ licenses, state-funded tuition, and healthcare benefits, claiming these measures contribute to the state's safety and prosperity. During a recent interview on Fox News Sunday, Walz addressed growing concerns about how these programs, aimed at non-citizens, are funded and their impact on taxpayers. Walz signed into law several progressive policies, including the expansion of drivers’ licenses for undocumented immigrants in March 2023. The “Drivers Licenses for All” bill allows anyone in the state, regardless of their legal status, to obtain a license. This policy makes Minnesota one of nearly two dozen states offering such a benefit, a move that Walz argues improves road safety because licensed drivers can legally acquire insurance, reducing the number of uninsured motorists on the road. He boasted that Minnesota now has some of the "safest roads" in the country. #HarrisWalz2024 Yep, Tim Walz had a DUI at 31, reduced to reckless driving. He served his suspended sentence, offered to resign his teaching position (not accepted), paid his fine. And quit drinking. Sounds like a great response to me. https://t.co/aRge01cpCA pic.twitter.com/vxvVtQ8PVx — DrDinD He/Him (@DrDinD) August 8, 2024 However, Walz faced sharp criticism from conservative circles during his interview with Fox News' Shannon Bream. The host highlighted how The Wall Street Journal criticized these benefits, arguing that they act as a "magnet" for illegal immigration, encouraging more individuals to take dangerous journeys to the U.S., knowing such resources await them. In response, Walz rejected these concerns, stating that the policies align with Minnesota’s values of inclusivity, while improving business rankings and healthcare access. He emphasized that Minnesota is one of the top five states for business and child welfare, alongside ranking high in healthcare access. Aside from drivers' licenses, Walz defended providing free tuition for undocumented students at state universities. Under his administration, undocumented students whose families earn less than $80,000 annually can now qualify for this program. Critics argue that this burdens Minnesota taxpayers, diverting resources from citizens to illegal immigrants. Walz countered that education for all, regardless of immigration status, is critical for the state's future workforce and economic health. Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz signed bills into law that grant drivers licenses, free college and health insurance to people who cross the border illegally and settle in Minnesota. Kamala Harris waves them in. Harris and Walz are destroying America in real-time. pic.twitter.com/pVM4c6k72j — MN Up North Lake Guy (@MNUpNorthLakeG1) October 8, 2024 Another flashpoint in the interview was healthcare access. Walz approved measures allowing illegal immigrants to access Minnesota’s healthcare programs, specifically for low-income residents. This initiative has stirred resentment among many voters who feel that state resources should prioritize citizens and legal residents. Walz maintained that such policies are necessary for public health, ensuring that everyone, regardless of status, has access to essential services. Throughout the interview, Walz sought to distance himself from some of the federal immigration policies, particularly those associated with the Biden administration. While defending his state's programs, he noted that Vice President Kamala Harris may not share his full stance on the issue, highlighting differing approaches within the Democratic leadership. He added that Harris has implemented some of the "strongest and fairest" border policies he has seen, attempting to deflect criticism that his policies are incentivizing illegal immigration. Despite Walz’s defense, opposition to these policies continues to mount. Conservative critics argue that these initiatives place undue financial burdens on taxpayers, undermine legal immigration, and encourage further illegal immigration. Many also fear that these benefits will lead to increased immigration into Minnesota, exacerbating the state’s housing and job market challenges. As Walz continues to make his case for these programs, the debate over immigration, state resources, and public safety remains heated, especially as he positions himself alongside Harris in the 2024 election. With his track record in the spotlight, voters across the country are watching closely to see how these policies play out and whether they will gain traction beyond Minnesota. Best Songs With The Name “Laura” In The Title

The name Laura has a long and fascinating history, with roots in Latin meaning “laurel,” symbolizing honor and victory. In the United States, the name became particularly popular in the mid-20th century, especially during the 1960s and 1970s, when it was one of the top choices for baby girls. Thousands of parents chose this name during that time, drawn to its classic, elegant sound and cultural significance. Yet, despite its widespread popularity, our research for this article uncovered an interesting phenomenon: unlike names like Mary, Susan, or Elizabeth, Laura doesn’t appear in the titles of nearly as many songs. Food Preservation Methods | Which One Is Right For You?

Learn different food preservation methods to keep your homestead stocked with fresh and nutritious food all year round. 10 Food Preservation Methods For Your Homestead Getting fresh food is relatively easy in summer, however, the cold season is entirely a different situation. That is why food preservation is important, and I'm not talking about the ones used commercially. There are different food preservation methods that do not involve the usage of harmful preservatives. Knowing which one is convenient for you will definitely help in having fresh produce all year round.   1. Home Canning image via homesteading Canning is probably the most popular method of food preservation. It is actually a staple here in my homestead. Canning is the perfect way to preserve the fresh flavors of the bountiful harvest. While canning is easy and safe, it is important to do it right, knowing how to use your canning supplies should be your basic foundation. Poorly canned food can cause health problems.   2. Freezing You can freeze almost all fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and meats, bread and cakes, and casseroles and clear soup. This is a great food preservation if you want to eat your produce without having to change its state i.e. chopping and pureeing. Properly packing food in freezer containers or freezer papers prevents degradation to its quality. Damage in frozen food happens only when your food comes in touch with the dry air of the freezer. Despite the fact that freezer-damaged sustenance won't hurt you, it makes the food taste terrible. Freezing might be the easiest method of food preservation, given you can buy and properly operate such expensive appliance.   3. Drying or Dehydrating | Drying or dehydrating may be the oldest method for food preservation. It is a process of exposing food to a certain temperature enough to remove moisture but will not cook it. It can be done with most food, including vegetables, fruits, grains, legumes, seafood, meats, and nuts. The most common homestead produce used for drying are herbs. And I’m practically doing it here in my homestead and I find it very easy to do.   4. Pickling image via homesteading Pickling is the method of saturating food into a solution comprising of salt, alcohol, or acid. It can be done with most food, like fruits, vegetables, legumes, eggs, meats, and seafood. Most methods don't need a special equipment. However, pickled food can be unsafe if not prepared carefully or placed at a room temperature. Pickling is frequently combined with other food preservation methods, like freezing, fermenting, or canning. Here's a simple recipe of refrigerator pickling to get you started.   5. Smoking Smoking, as a method of food preservation, is most likely as old as cooking with fire. Heat and smoke mix an exquisite flavor into fish, meat, ham, and poultry. It can obstruct the growth of microorganisms that causes food spoilage. Smoking is a very efficient way of food preservation, however, proper care must be done to prevent contamination and food related illness. If you think a smoke house is expensive and impractical to have, think again because you can actually build a 3’x3’ smoke house for less than $100.   Make your thumb greener with these 50 gardening tips and tricks! ???? https://t.co/D3XzeSlRHy — Homesteading (@HomesteadingUSA) January 26, 2017   6. Salting image via homesteading Salting is a sub-classification of the drying technique. The fundamental distinction here is that salt is added to items, for the most part, meat, and fish, to draw out dampness. This brings down the microbes substance and makes food versatile for later use. Adding salt to animal protein transform it somewhat a little leathery. Most known food made in this technique are meat jerky and dry salted cod.   7. Root Cellaring As the saying goes, everything old is new once more, and that unquestionably applies to the old method of root cellaring. In its most essential frame, a root cellar is a dark, cool, generally damp territory intended to support stockpiling conditions suited to root crops. Today, it can be as complex as a custom-built cold room, a detailed root basement with proper ventilation, a kind of storage room with an electronic cooling system, or basically an area with shelving.   8. Sealing image via homesteading Sealing is a procedure of covering food to keep air out, which interrupts (but doesn't stop) the action of bad micro-organisms. Sealing serves as a complementary procedure to different food preservation methods, like freezing or drying. Both vacuum sealing and fat sealing methods are somewhat easy. Vacuum sealing device is a moderately inexpensive small appliance.   9. Fermentation image via homesteading With the intriguing art of fermentation, you can take control of food spoilage. Meaning, the process with fermenting will still get spoiled, “ripen” or “age,” but they’ll do as such with good—even helpful—organisms instead of the bad ones. Fermented food preservation is made through allowing one kind of micro-organism to interact on the food essence so it can transform some of its elements into acids or alcohols. Yeasts are used to ferment alcohol, while the lactic acid bacteria are commonly used to most foods. This family of preserved foods comprises some of the world’s most amazing culinary treasures, like bread, pickles, cheese, sauerkraut, coffee, beer, chocolate, wine, and a mass of cured meat, to name some examples.   10. Jellying Or Jamming image via diy projects Jellying or jamming is the process of preserving food through cooking it in sugar until it thickens into a gel form consistency. Fruits are generally preserved as jam or jelly, fruit preserves or marmalade.   Want to know why there are the need and benefits of food preservation? Check out this video from Iken Edu: That's all I have for now my fellow homesteaders! Food preservation ensures, edibility, quality, and the nutritive factor of food. However, these methods still need careful planning and our keen attention to cleanliness and it's always best to start with the basics. Choose the best food preservation method that will work for you, master the basics before moving forward to a more complex one. Happy Homesteading! Cat Leads People to Her Kittens the Night Before Hurricane Milton and 'Thanks' Them in Most Heartwarming Way

A cat led people to her kittens the night before Hurricane Milton and "thanked" them in the most heartwarming way. Nikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueThe night before Hurricane Milton made landfall, Nikki, the VP of A Better Life-Pet Rescue, received a call about a mother cat and her kittens desperately needing help. The cat reportedly had been left behind for weeks after her family moved away, and she had recently given birth on the porch. With the hurricane barreling towards the area, Nikki and her team knew they had to act fast to save the feline family."When I arrived at the location, I got out of the truck and started walking towards the house. She came running from down the street to me, meowing," Nikki shared with Love Meow. She led her rescuers to her kittensNikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueThe cat glanced at Nikki, then darted towards the porch behind the house, pausing only to ensure she was right behind her. "It was like she was trying to lead me to something. I followed her, and she showed me where they were."There were empty bowls on the porch, and they found the kittens hidden behind a pile of things. They found seven kittens behind a pile of thingsNikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueNikki placed some food in a carrier, and without hesitation, the cat walked straight in as if she knew her family was in good hands."I pulled the babies out from behind the pile of stuff and put them in the carrier with the mom. When we got home, she ate two more cans of food. She was absolutely starving. She seemed so relieved to be inside and have her babies with her." The family of eight was safeNikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueThe feline family of eight was rescued just in time. Through the long night of howling winds, torrential rain, and power outages, they lay safe and dry indoors with warm beds and full bellies."Those kittens would not have survived the hurricane. We sheltered over 30 animals in our home during the storm." Nikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueWhen they first found the mom, they could see the panic in her eyes. Now, she's relaxed, purring up a storm with her littles by her side. "She is a very attentive mom. She takes great care of them, cleaning them and making sure they are fed."Some of the kittens have eye infections, and one has an injured paw. With treatment and care, they are on the mend. Nikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueThe sweet mama dotes on her seven, catering to their every whim, but the moment she sees Nikki, she trots over, nudging her gently for pets as if to thank her for bringing them inside."This is one of my favorite rescues. She is so sweet and grateful." Nikki at A Better Life-Pet Rescue"She is happy to not have to worry about when her next meal will be and if her babies will be okay. She can rest now and live the best life she deserves."Despite all she's endured, the cat continues to trust, allowing her people to help her with her kittens. She is so happy to be indoors with her kittensNikki at A Better Life-Pet RescueShe brushes against their legs as they replenish her food bowl, filling the room with gentle purrs. Now sheltered and safe, the family of eight is thriving. The sweet mama is filling out, regaining her strength, while her kittens are growing plump with their ravenous appetites.
