The Biden-Harris administration is urging Israel to not retaliate too hard against Iran after the Islamic regime fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles into Israel on Tuesday, forcing millions of people to run to bomb shelters. Immediately after the attack, Biden-Harris national security adviser Jake Sullivan claimed that there would be “consequences — severe consequences — for this attack, and we will work with Israel to make that the case.” In the days since then, the administration has sought to hold Israel back in its response. When asked by reporters on Wednesday if he supported Israel striking Iran’s nuclear facilities, Biden said: “The answer is no.” Biden said on Friday that he now does not support Israel striking Iran’s oil facilities, which has brought the regime tens of billions of dollars that it has used to fund its terrorist proxy groups throughout the region. “If I were in [Israel’s] shoes, I’d be thinking about other alternatives than striking oilfields,” Biden said. A top U.S. State Department official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, told CNN on Friday that they had “no guarantees” from Israel that it would not target Iran’s nuclear facilities. Israel may decide to target Iran’s nuclear facilities since the Islamic regime increasingly feels backed into a corner after Israel has decimated two of its top terrorist proxy groups, Hezbollah and Hamas. In both cases, the majority of the missiles were shot down, and the ones that hit only did minor damage and casualties were virtually nonexistent. Former President Donald Trump encouraged Israel on Friday to hit Iran’s nuclear facilities as it prepares to retaliate after Iran fired nearly 200 ballistic missiles into the country at the start of the month. Trump made the remarks during a Q&A session with voters in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Trump has been touring the southeastern United States in recent days to survey the damage from Hurricane Helene and talk with voters about what they need to recover. “I listened to Biden yesterday … they asked him, what do you think about Iran, would you hit Iran? And he goes, ‘As long as they don’t hit the nuclear stuff.'” Trump said. “That’s the thing you want to hit, right?” “I think he’s got that one wrong. Isn’t that the one you’re supposed to hit?” Trump continued. “It’s the biggest risk we have, nuclear weapons.” He said that Israel should focus on hitting Iran’s nuclear facilities first and worrying about other potential targets later. They even reportedly warned Iran prior to their attack that if any of the missiles hit Israel that Israel would target their oil or nuclear facilities. The breakout time for Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon is only a couple of weeks given the current stockpile of enriched uranium they have. Some have suggested that the real time is much longer, at minimum several months, because they argue that Iran still has a lot of work to do in terms of producing a weapon that will work. This argument assumes that Iran has been telling the truth to the world that it does not have a clandestine nuclear weapons program that has been working to solve this problem. While Democrats seek to deflect blame from the Biden-Harris administration’s disastrous foreign policy as the reason for Iran’s increased aggression in recent years, evidence points directly at the administration. Data compiled by the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies shows that Trump exiting the Iran nuclear deal did not trigger Iran’s build up of enriched uranium. Iran only decided to start enriching uranium in violation of the agreement after Biden was elected to office. The administration has relaxed sanctions enforcement against the Islamic regime, allowing it to earn tens of billions of dollars in oil revenue that it has used to fund terrorism throughout the region.
