Tom Selleck Shares Raw & Candid Thoughts On “Blue Blood” Cancelation

Tom Selleck is a beloved actor known for many iconic films such as Three Men and a Baby and In and Out and popular TV shows such as Magnum P.I., Friends, and Blue Bloods. Speaking of Blue Bloods, Tom Selleck recently got candid and shared unhappy thoughts about the show’s cancellation. Tom Selleck Gets Candid Blue Bloods is a drama series about a multi-generational family fighting against crime in New York City. The show has had 14 successful seasons but is now set to end. While some people may be satisfied with the show’s long run, others feel that it could continue being a success. Fox News shared Tom Selleck’s reaction to the show’s cancellation. He stated, “I’m kind of frustrated. During those last eight shows, I haven’t wanted to talk about an ending for Blue Bloods but about it still being wildly successful.” He further proved that point by explaining that Blue Bloods “ranked nine out of 100 in the Top 100 Shows of 2023-2024.” Additionally, the star shared his frustration at the timing and how people processed the show. He claimed that the show was programmed “in the worst time slot” but it still did exceptionally well. Furthermore, Tom Selleck felt people took the show for granted. He stated, “My frustration is the show was always taken for granted because it performed from the get-go.” Life After Blue Bloods Tom Selleck also admitted that it is going to take time for him to get over the cancellation of Blue Bloods. He shared this realization with Fox News, saying, “I remember after the weekend [ of the final episode shoot], I said, ‘I’ve got to get to bed early tonight because I have to do my dialogue for Monday.’ Well, there was no Monday. It’s just going to take a while.” While we are sad about Tom’s feeling of loss, we have no doubt that he will find another incredible opportunity. This 79-year-old has proven that he is far from the end of his career. We cannot wait to see what adventure awaits him next. The source of the featured image is here. Caveat Emptor

A few days ago, Iran launched approximately 200 ballistic missiles at Israel. Some of Iran’s missiles were hypersonic missiles traveling 10,000 miles an hour. Israel, the United States, and other allies were mostly able to stop the missiles. A few days before, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced Iran was within weeks of producing enough uranium for a nuclear bomb.  Iran showed itself capable of reaching any target in the Middle East and will, within the year, be able to launch nuclear warheads. Iran is undoubtedly being helped by Russia and North Korea. Inexplicably, President Joe Biden declared, after Iran’s show of force, that he is opposed to Israel destroying Iran’s nuclear capabilities. This is another reason to vote for Donald Trump for president.  Additionally, while North Carolina and the Southeast U.S. are suffering the effects of Hurricane Helene, the dockworkers announced a strike. The head of their union announced his intentions to cripple the economy at a time supplies were critical to relief and recovery efforts in the Southeast. Vice President Kamala Harris is standing with the union and against the suffering souls in North Carolina. This too is a reason to vote for Trump.  [The union representing 45,000 striking U.S. dockworkers reached a deal Thursday to suspend a three-day strike until Jan. 15 to provide time to negotiate a new contract, The Associated Press reported.] On top of all of that, it turns out the Biden-Harris administration has knowingly allowed criminals to cross into the United States. The Biden-Harris administration has seemingly engaged in a massive coverup to avoid publicly revealing how many illegal aliens it has allowed into this country who had known criminal records in their countries of origin. According to Fox News reporter Bill Melugin: “[T]he data shows there are tens of thousands of illegal aliens convicted of homicide, rapes, and other violent felonies currently roaming in the US.” Again, this is a reason to vote for Trump.  But what are we getting with a second term?  I have donated to the former president’s reelection campaign and intend to vote for him. The last person I supported in a Republican primary who went on to be the nominee was George W. Bush in 2000. By 2004, writing at RedState.com, I regularly criticized Bush’s growth of government. His war effort was paid for. His domestic initiatives kept growing the national debt.  I opposed both John McCain and Mitt Romney in their GOP primaries. They were too willing to grow government, too unwilling to unwind the federal bureaucracy. They lost, despite my vote, as the Republican nominees in the general elections of 2008 and 2012, respectively. Though I did not support Trump in his first run for office, I appreciated much of what he did. His foreign policy and much of his domestic policy was run-of-the-mill Republican with a conservative bent. It just got overshadowed by the tweets and drama.  But on Tuesday night, Sen. JD Vance of Ohio articulated a vision of what MAGA stands for that was not much different than what his vice presidential debate counterpart, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, offered. Instead of seeking to rein in the size and scope of the federal government, Vance advocated more government spending, more government programs, more government mandates on businesses, and more control over our lives. Essentially, we had two New Deal Democrats arguing over who should control the power and how much more they should grow it. One just happened to be mostly pro-life and the other explicitly pro-choice.  I could criticize Bush, McCain, and Romney and their teams would take it in good faith, without outrage. To speak against Trump is to be denounced as a RINO, even though what I want is actual Republican policies. He and his supporters’ intolerance of Republican dissent suggests they are not confident of their control of the party.  I am a conservative because I am a Christian. I know we are all sinners, so I want as few in charge of me as possible. Instead, the Trump-Vance vision is more sinners in charge of all of us with more power to structure our economy and lives. Eventually, Democrats will take over and use that power against us. Neither side wants to end Washington’s power.   The Trump agenda has much more to offer conservatives and people of faith than the Harris agenda. But buyer beware. The future of the GOP looks too much like Walter Mondale’s vision for America, and Americans once rejected that in a landslide.  COPYRIGHT 2024 CREATORS.COM  We publish a variety of perspectives. FEMA Whistleblowers Say Agency Wildly Mismanaged

Whistleblowers at the Federal Emergency Management Agency have come forward in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene to accuse the agency of misappropriating funds and generally mismanaging its responsibilities. This is according to a letter sent by Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., to Homeland Security Secretary Alexandro Mayorkas, whose department includes FEMA. FEMA has come under fire for its response to Hurricane Helene, which ravaged North Carolina, Georgia, and other states and left over 200 dead. Mayorkas said in an interview Wednesday that FEMA “does not have the funds” to address the rest of the hurricane season. Gaetz wrote in his letter, which he also posted on X: “Numerous whistleblowers came forward to my office this week to sound the alarm on FEMA’s severe mismanagement issues, which have left first responders on the ground to assist with Hurricane Helene recovery efforts without deployment orders.” Gaetz said FEMA’s mismanagement impeded the federal government’s response to the hurricane. “FEMA has wasted taxpayer funds, misappropriated funds, and left other federal, state, and local responders without deployment orders on the ground,” Gaetz wrote to Mayorkas. “As reported and further confirmed by my office, hundreds if not thousands of service members were deployed by the Department of Defense to North Carolina and have sat idle, waiting for FEMA.” The Florida Republican also wrote that FEMA had deployed its own employees who were simply waiting in hotels and that pre-disaster aid is being withheld. “It is also public that NGOs [nongovernmental organizations] have purchased airline tickets for migrants through the use of FEMA funds,” Gaetz wrote to Mayorkas. According to the Federalist, FEMA has spent more than $1 billion since 2022 addressing the border and illegal immigration crisis. The New York Post reported that DHS allocated “$640.9 million this year in FEMA-administered funds to aid state and local governments coping with the influx” of illegal aliens and asylum-seekers. Mayorkas said the money couldn’t be used for hurricane relief efforts because it was specifically authorized by Congress to address the illegal immigration crisis. Others have warned that FEMA was prioritizing illegal immigrants over its core purpose. Heritage Foundation senior research fellow Simon Hankinson wrote in September 2023 that “the Department of Homeland Security, in its fiscal year 2024 budget … asked for a directly appropriated $83.5 million for FEMA Shelter and Services Program grants to ‘nonprofits and local entities to provide support to noncitizens released from DHS custody.’” Hankinson also wrote last year that “DHS asked for $800 million—$650 million more than last year—’for communities to support migrants who have been released from DHS custody pending the outcome of their immigration proceedings.’” The post FEMA Whistleblowers Say Agency Wildly Mismanaged appeared first on The Daily Signal.

Nets Go GAGA For ‘Astonishing Sight’ of ‘Staunch Conservative’ Cheney Backing Kamala

On the heels of ABC, CBS, and NBC singing the praises Thursday night of longtime Northern Virginia resident Liz Cheney (who pretends to reside in Wyoming), the same networks also devoted time on their Friday morning news shows to cheering “staunch conservative” Cheney campaigning with Vice President Kamala Harris, calling it “an astonishing sight” and “a major moment” in the election and emblematic of “the difficult choice” Republican voters face.     Unsurprisingly, ABC’s Good Morning America was the most ebullient. Mary Bruce – Disney’s resident North Korean news lady for Democrats – was pathetic: [T]his was really an astonishing sight and a powerful reminder of the difficult choice that many Republicans are facing. Liz Cheney out on the campaign trail with the Democratic nominee. Now, she did note how unusual their pairing is, but she said the stakes are simply too high for disillusioned Republicans to sit this one out, that the nation's very democracy is on the line. Bruce then called Cheney “the most prominent conservative to cross party lines in this race” and “[stood] shoulder to shoulder with Kamala Harris on a mission to convince her fellow Republicans to put country over party.” Eagerly sharing that Cheney “argu[ed] Trump is a danger to democracy”, Bruce pivoted to Trump’s campaign rally in Michigan, huffing that he “repeat[ed] false assertions about the 2020 election and a series of other subjects.” The walking Biden-Harris regime tool closed with more approved talking points, gushing “Harris receiv[ed] another notable endorsement” with “Bruce Springsteen offering his support with a similar warning, saying ‘Trump doesn't understand what it means to be deeply American’” and Barack Obama plans to stump for Harris next week. NBC’s Today was right behind. After co-host Hoda Kotb labeled Cheney “one of Trump’s biggest conservative critics,” chief White House correspondent Peter Alexander extolled the “unlikely partnership” of Harris with the “staunchly conservative” Cheney, “the daughter of a staunchly conservative Vice President.” Alexander called the rally Harris’s “most forceful pitch yet to swing state voters” while bashed Donald Trump responding to the Cheney endorsement by “personal attacking” her “on Fox News. Like Bruce, Alexander closed by hailing Springsteen endorsement as though it matters and trumpeting Obama’s planned campaign tour. CBS Mornings co-host Tony Dokoupil started the 2024 segment with Trump, saying he “went back to the well” of 2020 despite the new court filing by Special Counsel Jack Smith. Only then did he pivot to Cheney and Harris campaign, which he described as “a bipartisan scene that would have been basically impossible to imagine in previous elections.” Chief White House correspondent Nancy Cordes acknowledged Cheney was only the last of “a bunch of Republicans to announce” support for Harris, but argued “Cheney really took it a step further” by campaigning against someone who’s “in her view, an unprecedented threat” to America. “Former Congresswoman Liz Cheney may be conservative, but at a rally in Eastern Wisconsin, she argued voting against the Republican nominee is the patriotic thing to do,” Cordes boasted, adding it’s “a major moment” the Harris team hopes will propel them to “win over even a sliver of Republican voters.” Exit question for Cheney: If Trump is “unprecedented” in the “threat” he poses to America, does that mean he’s more dangerous than the Japanese who bombed Pearl Harbor or, say, the 9/11 hijackers who killed thousands? Biden trips over words, stares vacantly during WH briefing that erupts into mayhem — Jean-Pierre steps in to rescue

President Joe Biden made a surprise White House press briefing appearance on Friday afternoon that quickly exploded into disorder.Biden kicked off the briefing by bragging about the administration's supposedly thriving economy. After his speech, the president agreed to take a couple of questions, requesting that White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre call on the reporters for him.'I mean, he came today, and you got to see him. And you were here.'Though reporters had several opportunities to pose questions to the president, not one asked about Hurricane Helene or the government's response to the disaster. Instead, many of the inquiries regarded Israel and its potential planned reaction to Iran's attacks. One journalist asked Biden, "There have obviously been a number of crises that the country has been facing over the past several days with the hurricane, with the port strike, with the situation in the Middle East. Can you talk about how your vice president, who is running for the presidency, has worked on these crises and what role she has played over the past several days?"Biden fumbled through his response, stating, "Well, she's— I'm in constant contact with her. She's aware of where we're all— we're singing from the same song sheet. We uh— she helped pass all the laws that are being employed now. She was a major player in everything we've done, including passage of legislation, which we were told we could never pass. And so she's been— and her staff is interlocked with mine in terms of all the things we're doing."Immediately after Biden concluded his response, the room spiraled into disorder as many reporters shouted out their questions, attempting to get more answers from the president while they still had the short opportunity to do so.Biden responded by cracking a smile and appearing to stare vacantly into the crowd of reporters as White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre attempted to regain control of the room. "I didn't call on you, sir," Jean-Pierre shouted at one reporter. On Biden's way out the door, a journalist asked Biden whether he would reconsider dropping out of the presidential race. Biden turned around and jokingly replied, "I'm back in."The room roared with laughter. Jean-Pierre then proceeded with the press briefing, opening up her remarks by stating, "This week, the United States has faced a number of competing challenges, from tensions in the Middle East to a port strike that threatened our nation's supply chains to a historic hurricane that washed away entire communities. Moments like these underscore the importance of American leadership and resolve, and they show what is possible when we come together."Meanwhile, those on the ground in the areas impacted by the disaster have repeatedly slammed the administration for its lackluster response, claiming it has failed almost entirely to assist those in need.Jean-Pierre contended that "a wide range of bipartisan officials, including the governors of every affected state, are working together with us and have praised the federal response."However, Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R), whose state was impacted by the hurricane, criticized the administration last week, stating, "We called the White House. We spoke to the president's chief of staff, the FEMA administrator, and said, 'Look, you're sending the signal that you're not paying attention to some of these rural communities.'"Jean-Pierre reiterated that the government needs additional funding for disaster relief. She denied claims that FEMA funds were redirected to support illegal aliens.A reporter started to ask Jean-Pierre, "This was President Biden's first time, correct, to the press briefing room since he—""Yeah," Jean-Pierre replied. "And you're welcome. You're welcome. I know where this question's gonna go. It's gonna be great.""It's gonna be great," she repeated with a laugh."Why didn't he come in the three and a half years before?" the reporter questioned.Jean-Pierre threw up her hand and said, "I mean, he came today, and you got to see him. And you were here.""Oh, man. Come on, come on. He was here. He took your questions," she said.Like Blaze News?
