John Kerry Rails 1st Amendment ‘Roadblock’ to Hammering Free Speech ‘Out of Existence’

Former Secretary of State and Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry accidentally revealed his alignment with Big Brother and their united goal of undermining the United States Constitution on Sunday. Kerry revealed his deep disdain for the First Amendment at a Sept. 29 World Economic Forum event. In a chilling rant during the WEF’s  Sustainable Development Impact Meeting in New York, Kerry had the gall to claim the Constitution made it “hard to govern” and police speech. Yes, you read that right. Speech that Kerry subjectively dubs as “disinformation,” he suggested should be nuked into orbit, suggested Kerry. He even expressed his frustration that the First Amendment is standing in the government’s way of achieving its goals. “But look, if people only go to one source, and the source they go to is sick, and, you know, has an agenda and they're putting out disinformation, he spewed. “[O]ur First Amendment stands as a major block to be able to just, you know, hammer [disinformation] out of existence.”   Kerry didn’t make any bones about his affinity for dystopian speech controls. The president’s chief climate activist even shared with the forum his apparent angst over individuals choosing for themselves what news sources to use.  “[P]eople go and self-select where they go for their news, for their information. And then you get into a vicious cycle,” he whined. How terrible that autonomous citizens can make autonomous choices, eh Kerry?    Kerry went on to double down, highlighting his annoyance  that freedom of speech cripples democratic government’s ability to act as  a Ministry of Truth and dictate narratives to the masses: “It is part of our problem, particularly in democracies, in terms of building consensus around any issue. It's really hard to govern today. You can't -- the referees we used to have to determine what is a fact and what isn't a fact have kind of been eviscerated, to a certain degree.”  MRC Vice President of Free Speech America Dan Schneider blasted Kerry for his anti-free speech tirade in a post on X (formerly Twitter), “No political system is perfect, but a system without freedoms is necessarily authoritarian.” Those who envision a world without free speech have forgotten the lessons of history. No political system is perfect, but a system without freedoms is necessarily authoritarian. Maybe that's exactly what the World Economic Forum likes best about ending the right to dissent. https://t.co/XQLyMG3yLN — Dan Schneider (@Schneider_DC) September 29, 2024 Kerry’s call for abolishing our constitutional right to free speech and instituting censorship has come amid a global shift toward authoritarianism. He went on to rebuke democracies once more for being ‘too slow’, he claimed: “I think democracies are very challenged right now and have not proven they can move fast enough or big enough to deal with the challenges they are facing, and to me, that is part of what this election is all about.” In the not-too-distant past, Americans have been faced with countless instances of ideas being deemed “disinformation” only later to be proven true, time and time again.  In 2020 the Federal Bureau of Investigation pressured Big Tech companies to censor the New York Post Hunter Biden laptop story and the theory that COVID-19  leaked from a Wuhan China lab was deemed a ‘conspiracy’ theory.

CBS Won't Fact Check Vance & Walz, Leftist 'Fact Checkers' Lament Their Lack of 'Courage'

Associated Press media reporter David Bauder reported on Friday that CBS News “says it will be up to the politicians — not the moderators — to check the facts of their opponents.” That would be a shocking contrast to ABC. Angie Drobnic Holan, the former PolitiFact boss now overseeing Poynter’s International Fact-Checking Network, complained to Bauder: “I’ll be interested in seeing how this works in practice,” she said. “Having said that, you’re basically off-loading one of your journalistic responsibilities onto the candidates themselves, so I don’t think that it’s ideal. It takes journalistic courage to be willing to fact-check the candidates, because the candidates are absolutely going to complain about it. I don’t think the moderators’ first goal is to avoid controversy.” Or we could joke, moderator fact-checking is the Democrats offloading their political responsibilities onto journalists. To compare CNN's approach with ABC's approach this year, it clearly takes more "journalistic courage" to resist the Republican-bashing urges of the media mob.  Here's one big reason to distrust "independent fact-checkers" like PolitiFact during and after Tuesday's vice-presidential debate. Like their fellow Democrats, they're going to tilt against Vance as the obvious mangler of facts, and unload their 'fact checking" on him.  Gov. Tim Walz was elected to the House in 2006, and never drew a PolitiFact check until August 7, 2024, after Harris picked Walz as her running mate. In six fact checks, he was ruled as "True" once, "Half True" twice, and "Mostly False" or "False" three times. None of those were about fact-mangling his own biography. They fact-checked Vance on Walz's lies. They also fact-checked Vance for getting Walz's record wrong on "gender-affirming care." J.D. Vance was first fact-checked on February 20, 2018, before he ran for anything. Overall now, he has one "True" (the first check), one "Mostly True," two "Half True," and 16 on the False side, including three "Pants On Fire" rulings. So that's six checks for Walz, three on the False side (50 percent), and 20 checks for Vance, 16 on the False side (80 percent). Or just note the False checks are 16 to 3.The "Pants on Fire" count is 3-zip.

Hostin Calls Trump Is a Nazi Literally Planning a Second Kristallnacht

Less than a month after the second assassination attempt on former President Trump’s life, staunchly racist and anti-Semitic co-host Sunny Hostin (the descendant of slave owners) spewed dangerous, incendiary rhetoric against him on the Monday episode of ABC’s The View. According to her, Trump was a Nazi who was literally planning a second Kristallnacht but against “black and brown communities,” if he was to get elected again. At a rally over the weekend, Trump vented about how liberal cities allow crime to run rampant as they have police stand by as shoplifters and criminals make off with goods. “The craziest thing. And the police aren't allowed to do their job [Transition] If you had, like, one day, one real, rough nasty day [Transition] One rough hour, and I mean real rough, the word will get out, and it will end immediately,” he told the crowd in the highly edited soundbite The View presented.     According to Hostin’s brain, that off-the-cuff chatter was supposedly a serious policy proposal to have police target “black and brown communities” for destruction. Adding stuff Trump didn’t say, she insisted the plan was for a second Kristallnacht, which she couldn’t pronounce: HOSTIN: He said, if you had one really violent day, he floats a plan to end crime in which he says that the police should be allowed one really violent day in which they could be extraordinarily rough with anyone they suspect of a crime. Now, as the mother of a black 6'2" son, we know he's going to send those police officers into black and brown communities and migrant communities. We also know that he believes that police officers should have immunity. And so for me, that means we are at risk of what happened in Nazi Germany, and they call that the uh – ANA NAVARRO: Kristallnacht. HOSTIN: they call it uh -- I can't pronounce that, but they call it The Night of Broken Glass. NAVARRO: Kristallnacht WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Kristallnacht HOSTIN: Kristallnacht, in which there was a coordinated wave of anti-Semitic violence in Nazi Germany to attack the Jews. “And if a person is watching these violent movies and he's talking about Hannibal Lecter and he's talking about the Night of Broken Glass, he's in a very, very dark place and he has a very, very dark vision of America,” she declared. She went on to plead: “And I really, really hope that people are paying attention to what he is saying because he is saying the quiet parts out loud.” Ironically, Hostin pushed that ridiculousness after former Trump staffer and faux conservative, Alyssa Farah Griffin asserted that Trump’s “chief currency is fear, and fear works with his base.” The transcript is below. Merciless thugs beat up 66-year-old man, knocking him out, after they stuck gun in his face and demanded 'everything': Report

Baltimore news station WBFF-TV spoke to a 66-year-old man who said a group of masked youths — as many as five — brutally attacked and robbed him at gunpoint Thursday night while he was on his way home. The disturbing beat-down also was caught on surveillance video, the station said.'There is no accountability. They keep letting them go and letting them go and this is what you’re going to have. You guys really start thinking about changing some laws. And you better do it fast before it hits your house next.'Bernie — who didn't want his last name shared publicly — told the station, “I actually didn’t hear anything. They were very, very quiet. Almost like they snuck up on me. But I could feel their presence. They didn’t say anything, but when I saw them, they had ski masks on."He added to WBFF, "In my mind, I knew what was coming next, so I started to run, and they started to chase me. As I was running, I was yelling, ‘Help, help, I’m being robbed.’ He pulled the gun out, and he stuck the gun in my face, and I said, ‘What do you want?’ He said, ‘I want everything.'"The video shows three of the hooded culprits surrounding the victim, who's lying face-down in the street. One of them stomps on the victim's head — the sickening stomp is audible on the video — while another punches him twice. They appear to take the victim's property and then run off.WBFF said Bernie was knocked out as a result of the attack in the neighborhood near Patterson Park in Baltimore City. Now his left eye is swollen and black and blue, and he has seven stitches near his eyebrow, the station added. While Bernie told WBFF five suspects attacked him, Baltimore Police said they arrested two males: 18-year-old Montaz Bailey and a 15-year-old male. Police also said a handgun was recovered along with the victim's property after the attack in 200 block of South Madeira Street.Police said Bailey was taken to the Central Booking and Intake Facility for processing while the 15-year-old male was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center to request a review for detention — but the boy soon was released to a guardian. Both suspects have prior arrests, police said.Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan Bates authorized an attempted first-degree murder charge to be filed against Bailey, WBFF reported.“I think I was a prime target for them," Bernie added to the station. "They waited for a prime opportunity to pounce. They get apprehended and within hours, they're back on the street again. They laugh and think it’s a joke. To be honest with you, I can’t blame them for laughing. If I was in their shoes, I’d be laughing about it, too. If you can commit a crime and not be held accountable — there’s no consequences — what’s to stop you?"“This incident is truly horrific, and my heart is with this victim and our communities,” Police Commissioner Richard Worley said. “More must be done to address the ongoing challenges of crimes being committed by young people and the lack of consequences and accountability. These incidents undermine the work of the BPD and erode the trust our communities place in us to keep them safe.”Democrat Mayor Brandon M. Scott added, "Time and time again, we’re frustrated by this pattern of repeatedly needing to arrest the same young people who have not received the accountability necessary from other parts of the justice system. The current pattern does a disservice to our residents, our city, and — importantly — the young people themselves. Our police officers are doing their job, and I commend them for their quick action to find those responsible for this terrible attack. But clearly the larger system continues to fail these young people by returning them to the same environment that cannot hold them accountable or on the right path without the additional support needed to make a real change.”Bernie noted to WBFF, “There is no accountability. They keep letting them go and letting them go and this is what you’re going to have. You guys really start thinking about changing some laws. And you better do it fast before it hits your house next.”You can view a video report here about the incident.Like Blaze News? Democrat admits in leaked video that Kamala Harris is in big trouble in Michigan: 'We have her under water in polling'

A video obtained of a Michigan Democrat during a donor call undermined the media narrative that Democratic candidate Kamala Harris was safely ahead in the battleground state. Harris is only about 1.4% ahead of former President Donald Trump in the RealClearPolitics average of polls for Michigan, and some polls included she is winning by as much as as 5%. 'I'm not feeling my best right now.' However, according to Rep. Elissa Slotkin, a Michigan Democrat who is running for an open U.S. Senate seat, the Harris-Walz ticket is losing in their internal polling. She was speaking with Democratic Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey on a leaked video from a virtual fundraiser. "I'm not feeling my best right now about where we are on Kamala Harris in a place like Michigan," said Slotkin in the video obtained by Axios. "We have her underwater in our polling," Slotkin added. The Axios report noted that some politicians exaggerate their circumstances in order to scare voters into contributing to their campaign coffers, but there are other reasons to believe Slotkin may be telling the truth in her warning. Poll experts say that Trump historically underperforms in polling for various reasons, and they expect he will have more support in the election than will be indicated by polling leading up to November 5. "Donald Trump is very much in this race," said CNN polling expert Harry Enten. "If we have a polling shift like we've seen in prior years from now until the final result, Donald Trump would actually win."That historic advantage may also put Democratic control of the U.S. Senate in danger of turning over to the Republicans. Axois said Slotkin's office did not respond to requests for a comment about the report. Like Blaze News? Scientists revive 1,000-year-old seed from cave near Jerusalem, possibly resurrecting mysterious tree mentioned in the Bible

Scientists have revived a mysterious seed found in a cave near Jerusalem. Researchers say the seed is approximately 1,000 years old and may sprout a long-lost tree mentioned in the Bible. In the mid-1980s, archaeologists excavated a cave in the lower Wadi el-Makkuk region north of Jerusalem. Inside the cave alongside a 26-foot cliff were Roman-era beads, woven ropes, and about a dozen ancient seeds — primarily for fruit-bearing date palms Phoenix dactylifera and Balanitis aegyptiaca, according to the Daily Mail. However, there was a 0.8-inch seed that intrigued scientists. 'It’s been hugely exciting. It’s bringing something back to life from 1,000 years ago.'Radiocarbon dating has estimated that the seed's date of origin is somewhere between A.D. 993 and A.D. 1202.Researchers believe the seed was brought into the cave by an animal. "We don't think it was brought by a human. The cave was a burial site and not inhabited," Dr. Sarah Sallon of Hadassah University Medical Center told the Jerusalem Post.Sallon noted that there were signs that the cave had been looted by grave robbers. The seed — nicknamed "Sheba" — was planted in 2010. Five weeks later, a seedling emerged. Once the plant had bark, it yielded resin.Scientists say Sheba is a species of Commiphora — part of the frankincense and myrrh family (Burseraceae) — that comprises roughly 200 living plant species.Commiphora plants are mainly found across Africa, Madagascar, and the Arabian Peninsula. Sheba can not be botanically named until it produces flowers and more is known about its physical structure, said Sallon. Sheba has yielded enough mature leafy material for chemical and genetic analysis."The identity of biblical 'tsori' (translated in English as 'balm') has long been open to debate," the researchers wrote in the study published this month in Communications Biology.Biblical "tsori" is a medicinal extract with healing abilities mentioned in the books of Genesis, Jeremiah, and Ezekiel. The Bible refers to the healing resin in the historical region of Gilead, located on the east bank of the Jordan River between the Yarmuk River and the northern end of the Dead Sea — in what is today Jordan.Sallon and her co-authors say there is a possibility that Sheba is a "Judean balsam" or "balm of Judea," a now-extinct tree species that existed in the Southern Levant, a region comprising modern-day Israel, Palestine, and Jordan. The Judean balsam was prized for its exquisite perfume and medicinal qualities in ancient times."The most valuable export of ancient Judea (modern-day Israel and Palestine) and described extensively by writers in antiquity, Judean Balsam, was highly prized for its fragrant aromatic resin 'opobalsamum' (Gk: 'sap of balsamon') and its many economic uses," the researchers wrote. The Judean balsam (Commiphora gileadensis) disappeared from the region by the ninth century.Sallon said, "I sent samples (leaves, bark resin, and more) to Dr. Gavin Flamatti at the University of Western Australia, who is an expert on identifying fragrant compounds released by burning. No fragrant aromatic compounds were released, but they did find an abundance of very medicinal substances."Live Science reported, "Chemical analysis of Sheba's leaves and resin revealed the tree is rich in pentacyclic triterpenoids, which are biologically active compounds with anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties."The researchers said phytochemical analysis of Sheba’s leaves and resin identified compounds associated with "wound healing and anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, antiviral, and anti-tumoral activity.""Using results of DNA sequencing, phylogenetic and phytochemical analysis in conjunction with historical and archaeological source material and phytogeographic data, we suggest 'Sheba' may represent an extinct (or at least extirpated) species of Commiphora, once native to the region, whose resinous extract 'tsori' (Hebrew: flow/drip) mentioned in biblical texts, was considered a valuable substance associated with healing but not described in these sources as fragrant," the paper states.Additional research is still needed to confirm whether Sheba is a Judean balsam.Sallon said, “It’s been hugely exciting. It’s bringing something back to life from 1,000 years ago.”Like Blaze News? Circumvent the censors, sign up for our newsletters, and get stories like this direct to your inbox. Sign up here!
