Bunk From a Cabinet Secretary

Former Labor Secretary Robert Reich now makes videos, like I do. In fact, his channel, Inequality Media, is very much like Stossel TV. He also reaches people via social media platforms, gets millions of views and covers economic topics. Reich does almost exactly what I do, except ... Reich is repeatedly wrong. It’s understandable. Despite being frequently introduced as “economist Robert Reich,” Reich has no economics degree. He’s another liberal lawyer. His videos reflect that. “Inequality Media” is a catchy name. Americans dislike inequality. But my new video points out that inequality isn’t a conspiracy. It’s simply what happens when people are free. Taylor Swift’s a billionaire. Should government force you to listen to me sing to make life more fair? Reich wants to “ban billionaires” like Jeff Bezos. I don’t much like Bezos, but his creation, Amazon, is wonderful. It’s lowered prices so much that it cut America’s core inflation. Reich claims Amazon is a monopoly. But Amazon is far from a monopoly. It has to compete with Walmart, Target, eBay, Alibaba, etc. Where there are free markets, we have choices. If we buy from Amazon, it’s only because we think it’s cheaper or better Reich says it is bad that billionaires “get money from rich relatives.” But the biggest study of millionaires found few do. Bezos got some money from his parents, but most of what he needed to grow Amazon he got from investors. Media “experts” sneered at them for years, because at first, Amazon lost so much money. Capitalism rewards such risk-taking. Progressives and liberal lawyers like Reich believe rich people take most of America’s wealth and leave little for the poor. Like the Hollywood writers for the movie “Wall Street,” they call our economy “a zero-sum game -- somebody wins, somebody loses.” But that’s just dumb. Capitalists create new wealth. They don’t take a big slice of the pie and leave us a sliver. If they get rich, it’s because they find ways to bake lots of new pies. That’s what’s happened in America. Its why today, even poor Americans have access to things European kings only dreamed about. Capitalists can get rich only by making all of us better off. Actual economist Dan Mitchell explains, “Billionaires only kept 2.2% of the additional wealth they generated ... the rest of us captured almost 98% of the benefits.” Reich also mocks trade. In one video, he sneers, “Global trade is good for everyone. That’s bunk!” Of course it’s bunk. Few things are good for everyone.  But trade makes almost everyone richer by allowing us to specialize in what we do best. It’s called comparative advantage. Reich complains, “What if a country’s comparative advantage comes from people working under ... exploitative conditions?” “Exploitation” would be bad, but people in poor countries aren’t forced to work in factories. They took those jobs because their alternatives were worse. Trade allowed a billion people to lift themselves out of poverty. Still, trade does take away some Americans’ jobs. Donald Trump complains about other countries “ripping us off and taking our jobs.” He and Reich don’t understand that trade creates more jobs. It’s why unemployment is low. Companies engaged in global trade created 60% of America’s new jobs. Finally, Reich says it’s “rubbish” that President Joe Biden’s huge spending increases caused Inflation. He claims it’s “corporate greed ... Mega corporations raise prices to increase their profits.” That’s just silly. When prices fall, did companies suddenly get less greedy? My video cites actual economists like Nobel Prize winner Milton Friedman, who explains, “Inflation is made in Washington because only Washington can create money. Any other attribution of other groups to inflation is wrong.” Robert Reich’s videos are wrong about almost everything. It’s sad that colleges pay this fake economist to deliver foolish propaganda to students. His “progressive” ideas would leave all of us poorer. And less free.

UH OH: Infamously Leftist Google Expands YouTube’s AI

Google-owned YouTube is expanding its artificial intelligence tool despite its parent company’s notorious track record of infusing leftism into its AI and search algorithms. Google’s Gemini AI has made headlines multiple times for its racist and anti-American bias, including bias exclusively exposed by MRC Free Speech America, such as providing reasons for Americans not to celebrate the Fourth of July. Despite these scandals, however, Google is charging ahead with AI, most recently by opening up its YouTube AI tool for U.S. YouTube Premium users on Androids.  Team YouTube posted on X on Sept. 23, “our conversational AI tool is expanding to all U.S. YouTube Premium members w/ Android devices[.] use it to dive deeper into the content you [love] by asking questions about what you’re watching or for recs for similar videos!!” The post included a video on how to use YouTube’s AI chatbot feature to ask questions and “dive deeper” into video content. What’s disturbing about this latest development is YouTube itself is particularly notorious for its explicit leftist bias and acute obsession with censorship.  In 2022, then-YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki bragged about YouTube’s censorship while simultaneously touting abortion as a “right.” Indeed, Alliance Defending Freedom, then-GOP candidate Chris Christie, and EWTN Español are among those censored for pro-life content on YouTube. YouTube has also shown election bias, as Republican and Independent presidential candidates, including Donald Trump, RobertKennedy Jr., Vivek Ramaswamy, Nikki Haleyand Chris Christie, were censored on the platform. Will YouTube’s AI prove as woke as Google’s Gemini AI? It would be a safe bet to assume so. MRC Free Speech America found in July that Gemini returned ten anti-American responses to researchers’ prompts. For instance, when asked if Americans should celebrate Independence Day, the chatbot replied this was “complex with no easy answer” due to America’s “flawed history” of racism. Gemini also cited the historically debunked 1619 Project to claim 1619 was possibly America’s birth year, as “it marks the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in British America, which would become the United States.” But that’s not all.  MRC Free Speech America researchers confirmed Gemini generated images upon request for scientists of all racial backgrounds except white people. The chatbot became infamous for being so “diverse” in its image generator that it excluded white people almost entirely, even depicting Vikings and the Founding Fathers as non-whites. Gemini even engaged in direct election interference to benefit President Joe Biden when he was still running for reelection. For example, MRC Business researchers also found in March that Gemini was programmed to cover for President Joe Biden’s economic failures, falsely claiming personal savings increased under Biden but decreased under President Donald Trump. Will YouTube’s AI prove to be any better? Not likely.  Conservatives are under attack. Contact Google here and demand that it be held to account to mirror the First Amendment while providing transparency, clarity on “hate speech” and equal footing for conservatives. Argentina's 'chainsaw' president tells the UN to shove its 'socialist' 'Pact for the Future'

Argentina's 'chainsaw' president tells the UN to shove its 'socialist' 'Pact for the Future'

Javier Milei, Argentina's self-proclaimed "anarcho-capitalist" president, took office in December 2023. In the months since, he has taken a "chainsaw" to his predecessors' failed leftist policies as well as to some critics' doubts. This week, he shredded globalist hopes that the Argentine Republic would be party to the United Nations' "Pact for the Future," telling the General Assembly, "Argentina will not back any policy that implies the restriction of individual freedoms or trade, nor the violation of the natural rights of individuals." Milei — whose debut address to the U.N. took place within hours of reports indicating that Argentina's economic activity beat estimates, growing 1.7% in July — invited other nations to join him not only in "opposing this pact, but in the creation of a new agenda for this noble institution: the freedom agenda." After noting that the U.N. served a noble purpose in the wake of World War II, Milei stated it has since "stopped upholding the principles outlined in its founding declaration and begun to mutate" — from an organization that once defended human rights to "one of the main drivers of the systematic violation of freedom." Milei dragged the U.N. for its support of "global quarantines during the year 2020," which he suggested qualify as crimes against humanity, as well as its appeasement of "bloody dictatorships," such as Venezuela, and criticism of Israel. According to the Argentine president, the U.N. was created "as a shield to protect the realm of men" but has "transformed into a multi-tentacled leviathan that seeks to decide not only what each nation-state should do but also how all the citizens of the world should live." 'It is basically an attempt to build a totalitarian system of conformity across the business sector.' Milei suggested that instead of seeking peace, the U.N. now seeks to impose an ideology on its members. Distinguishing himself from a great many onlookers as a "libertarian liberal economist" rather than a politician, Milei warned of the threat posed by "collectivist policies" baked into the U.N.'s doomed 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The U.N.'s 2030 agenda includes 17 interlinked global goals designed to "transform the world." Paul Tice, an adjunct professor of finance at the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University, indicated in his recent book, "The Race to Zero: How ESG Investing Will Crater the Global Financial System," that: Climate action (SDG #13) provides the intersectional glue for the entire progressive agenda embedded in the UN's sustainability program, with each individual cause drawing strength and further validation from the moral imperative of saving the planet from fossil fuels because, in the UN's telling, climate change also affects global health, poverty, hunger, and national security, and 'its adverse impacts undermine the ability of all countries to achieve sustainable development. Tice emphasized that sustainability is part of a broader anti-capitalist campaign that "borrows elements from both the totalitarian and reformist approaches of the past." "It is basically an attempt to build a totalitarian system of conformity across the business sector based on moral suasion, thereby avoiding the administrative cost and public sector responsibility associated with outright state ownership or direct government intervention," wrote Tice. '[The sustainability agenda] is nothing more than a super-national socialist government program.' The professor noted further that "it embraces both state and progressive priorities but is mainly the fabrication of a permanent supranational bureaucracy of technocrats residing at multilateral agencies led by the UN and international NGOS such as the WEF, which effectively insulates it from accountability at the ballot box." Sharing similar concerns about the U.N. agenda and its broader sustainability push, Milei suggested that the U.N. is now effectively a model of "super-national governance by international bureaucrats who intend to impose a certain way of life on the citizens of the world." According to Milei, the "Pact for the Future," which 143 countries approved Sunday, is par for the course. The pact overlaps with the 2030 sustainability agenda, laying out objectives for a multilateral approach to addressing changing weather patterns, so-called reproductive rights, and digital cooperation. "Although well-intentioned in its goals, [the pact] is nothing more than a super-national socialist government program that aims to solve the problems of modernity with solutions that undermine the sovereignty of nation-states and violate the right to life, liberty, and property of individuals," said the Argentine president. "It is an agenda that aims to solve poverty, inequality, and discrimination with legislation that only deepens these issues." Milei suggested that the pact is another poorly conceived utopian program that will not withstand or tolerate humans' incompatible nature and choices. "We want to officially express our dissent regarding the 'Pact of the Future' signed on Sunday," said Milei, concluding with a version of a quote from Thomas Paine: "Those who wish to reap the blessings of freedom must, as men, endure the fatigue of defending it." UNLV quarterback walks off team over missing $100K NIL payment — school claims QB made illegal demands and 'implied threats'

UNLV star quarterback Matthew Sluka has left the team over an allegedly missing $100,000 name, image, and likeness payment.Sluka made the announcement, without giving specifics, in a social media post stating that he would utilize his redshirt option for the remainder of the season."I have decided to utilize my redshirt year and will not be playing in any additional games this season," Sluka wrote.A redshirt allows a football player to extend his NCAA eligibility for one year, so long as he plays in three games or less. The UNLV Rebels are off to a 3-0 start with Sluka and ranked No. 23 in the AFCA Coaches Poll, the first time the program has ever been ranked in a major poll. "I committed to UNLV based on certain representations that were made to me, which were not upheld after I enrolled," Sluka's statement continued. "Despite discussions, it became clear that these commitments would not be fulfilled in the future. I wish my teammates the best of luck this season and hope for the continued success of the program." — (@) Sluka's sideSluka's agent, Marcus Cromartie, and his father, Bob Sluka, both told ESPN that UNLV didn't follow through on a verbal offer of $100,000 that allegedly came from offensive coordinator Brennan Marion. Head coach Barry Odom allegedly told them in a phone call that the offer wasn't valid because it didn't come from himself.Sluka's father and agent allege that when Sluka arrived at UNLV in the summer, he was told the money would be distributed in a payment plan. This plan was then apparently delayed, and Sluka was told payment would come after he enrolled in school and started classes. The agent said the school and the collective that manages its NIL payments did formally offer $3,000 per month for four months, a whopping $88,000 less than what they were offered. However, Sluka only allegedly received $3,000 for moving expenses.Programs in the NCAA use collectives to handle NIL deals; the schools do not directly deal with player deals of that nature. — (@) UNLV's collective, Blueprint Sports, said it paid Sluka a one-time fee of $3,000 for a summer event but was unaware of any $100,000 promises. It also stated that Sluka first contacted the collective in August but had not contacted anyone about any missing payments."They keep deferring — 'We don't know. You have to wait,'" Bob Sluka said. "Then it was like, 'We're going to give him game checks.' So we're like, 'OK, great.' We did not ask for a single dollar [more]. At one point, we are out of pocket for him to be there, because his expenses to live there weren't even being covered."The father also claimed that offensive coordinator Marion, along with sports agents, agreed to a verbal deal with the family the previous winter during a recruiting visit."We left there understanding that we were going to get a certain dollar amount for Matt to come there on the NIL deal, not a blowout number, but a reasonable, fair number," Bob Sluka added. He noted that his son received more than 25 NIL offers from other schools.'UNLV does not engage in such activity, nor does it respond to implied threats.'UNLV's sideUNLV largely avoided directly addressing the claims and said Sluka's representative made financial demands in order to keep playing. The school asserted that the demands were illegal and "implied threats."Sluka's "representative made financial demands upon the University and its NIL collective in order to continue playing," UNLV claimed."UNLV Athletics interpreted these demands as a violation of the NCAA pay-for-play rules, as well as Nevada state law. ... UNLV does not engage in such activity, nor does it respond to implied threats. UNLV has honored all previously agreed-upon scholarships for Matthew Sluka.""UNLV has conducted its due diligence and will continue to operate its programs within the framework of NCAA rules and regulations, as well as Nevada state laws," the statement concluded. The NCAA's senior vice president of external affairs, Tim Buckley, offered a different take on the ordeal, albeit not directly addressing the particular situation."Unfortunately there is little oversight or accountability in the NIL space and far too often promises made to student-athletes are broken," Buckley said.He added that "positive changes" are underway as the NCAA is looking to add benefits but blamed "Congress" and "the courts" for limiting the authority the NCAA has in regulating third parties in regards to NIL transactions.Sluka said he will work with a quarterback coach during his time off and wait for the January transfer window to find another school.Like Blaze News? 'Am I out of my f***ing mind?' UFC CEO Dana White reveals he will finally enter the world of boxing

UFC's Dana White said he is finally ready to dip his toes into boxing after nearly a decade-long conversation surrounding whether it is worth it for him."I have a plan," White told reporters. Speaking after an episode of "Dana White's Contender Series," the UFC president said every time he gets on the phone to discuss boxing with his business partners, he thinks, "Am I out of my f***ing mind?!""I think obviously now is the time, or I would've done it (in 2017). I was kicking around. I was even talking about Anthony Joshua at one time and stuff like that. I'm glad I pumped the brakes and we waited. Everything is about timing. Is now the time? We're going to find out," White added, per BJPenn.com.White first indicated he was interested in promoting boxing in 2017, when UFC star and then-champion Conor McGregor was gearing up to fight boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. At the time, White would occasionally be seen wearing a Zuffa Boxing T-shirt, hinting that UFC ownership would be running the proposed promotion."No, no, no, I'm not leaving the UFC. I'm getting into boxing with [WME/IMG head] Ari [Emanuel], and the UFC will be doing boxing too," White said, according to ESPN. "It's still early. We're still working on it. I've got to get my [stuff] together, but I'm getting into boxing, man. It's coming."Interestingly enough, Emanuel's WME would eventually purchase the UFC and WWE under TKO Holdings Group in 2023.'I'm coming in guns blazing.'In August 2019, White had allegedly made key hires in regards to Zuffa Boxing and was hoping to have the promotion running by that October. White said that "politics" in the sport had always been in the way of boxing's progression and that his proposed promotion could still fail.Fast forward five years and White has again said he has a plan in place for the flailing sport, which has survived off gimmicks and super-fights in recent years."I'm going to implement that plan, and we'll see how that works," White said in a press conference clip, posted by MMA Junkie. "People have been talking about the demise of boxing for 30 years, and we're still here talking about boxing right now. I have always had an idea of how I thought it should be done. I don't know if that's possible, but we're going to find out.""I'm coming in guns blazing," White added. When asked where the boxing facilities would be centered, White said he would "build the offices right here at the [UFC] Apex. ... I'm planning to build all the infrastructure right here."White noted that anyone signed under the UFC, Power Slap, or a proposed boxing promotion has access to their facilities.A reporter also asked if UFC fighters might be taking a break to fight for the boxing promotion in the future. White responded by saying, "God, I hope not."In 2019, the UFC boss' plan was to promote boxers just like in the UFC and hope to avoid the many boxing crossovers that have occurred since then."I'm sure you can assume the people I would not be working with," White concluded, likely referring to YouTuber turned boxing star Jake Paul. “I don't think you have to be a f***ing genius to figure that one out."Like Blaze News? Harris demands amnesty for illegal aliens after yet another alleged murder by imported criminal

Kamala Harris has tried on several new accents and personas in recent weeks in hopes of simulating a Democratic candidate whom Americans might care to vote for. As part of this broader campaign, Harris has begun masquerading as a border defender despite her past criticism of the border wall and her failure as border czar to prevent tens of millions of illegal aliens from stealing into the homeland. Harris let this new mask slip during her solo interview Wednesday with MSNBC when she suggested that, if elected president, she would remedy America's "broken immigration system" by rewarding some of the illegal aliens who jumped the border with "pathways" to citizenship. While this campaign promise was already baked into Harris' remodel of Biden's campaign site, it appears to have caught some Americans off guard when said aloud — especially those previously kept in the dark about Harris' policies during her months-long media blackout. 'This woman is truly dangerous to the future of America.' "They are importing voters," wrote Elon Musk. The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project has underscored in recent months the threat of election interference by both the Biden-Harris administration and illegal aliens. Blaze News previously noted that troubling footage published by the Oversight Project appears to show a handful of noncitizens at the apartment complex Elliot Norcross in Norcross, Georgia, admitting they were registered to vote. The watchdog group speculated on the bases of the encountered sample size and estimates that out of America's "unauthorized population," there may be enough registered illegal alien voters to significantly impact the election — a suggestion on which Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Democrats have attempted to cast doubt. Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk said of Harris' pledge on MSNBC: "This woman is truly dangerous to the future of America." Harris' pledge to reward foreign nationals who stole into the country with possible citizenship — a surefire incentive for more border crossings — comes on the heels of another brutal slaying allegedly committed by an illegal alien. Maryland's Montgomery County Department of Police arrested Gerber Luis Sanchez Centeno, a 23-year-old from El Salvador, on Sept. 18 and charged him with first-degree murder in connection with the brutal slaying of 18-year-old Dania Cruz-Mejia of Montgomery Village. Montgomery County Department of Police An Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokesperson confirmed to the Daily Caller that the alleged murderer was living in the U.S. illegally. Although arrested by Border Patrol in June, Sanchez-Centeno was dumped into a program modified and expanded by the Biden-Harris administration, which let him avoid detention and ultimately set him loose in the American interior. ICE indicated it has placed a detainer request with the Montgomery County Detention Center. It's unclear if the jail will comply with the federal agency's request. While potential murderers are piling into the country, now possibly expecting pathways to citizenship, there are potentially also terrorists in the mix. Aaron Heitke, the recently retired chief Border Patrol agent for the San Diego sector, told Congress last week that the Biden-Harris administration hid information about illegal aliens with terrorism ties from the American public as part of its effort to "quiet the border-wide crisis." Heitke indicated that the Biden-Harris administration's policies left fast stretches of the border virtually undefended in various high-traffic areas for "weeks and months at a time," while unknown numbers of dangerous foreign nationals poured in. A new AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D budget gaming CPU is reportedly already in the works

AMD is reportedly already working on a budget X3D gaming CPU based on its latest Zen 5 architecture. According to the latest word from the rumor mill, the new AMD Ryzen 5 9600X3D has six cores, rather than the eight expected on the 9800X3D, but will still have the same 64MB stack of 3D V-cache to improve gaming performance. AMD’s 3D V-cache has proved to be a winner when it comes to gaming frame rates, as we found in our Ryzen 7 7800X3D review. This chip is still the best gaming CPU we’ve tested, but it’s been out for well over a year now, and it was only in the last few weeks that the six-core Ryzen 5 7600X3D was announced as a cheaper option. This time, however, it looks as though there could be a budget AMD X3D chip out even sooner. Age of Mythology Retold set to get even bigger with huge new expansion

Age of Mythology: Retold is one of the best strategy games to come out this year. As the genre moves forward with new entries like Frostpunk 2, Manor Lords, and Homeworld 3, it's also looked back to a classic RTS that originally launched all the way back in 2002 as an Age of Empires spin-off. While Retold hasn't come out without a degree of controversy focused on its microtransactions, the core of the game itself is solid, with the remake serving as a good way for newcomers or experienced players to check out Age of Mythology on modern systems. It's also about to make up for one glaring absence from its launch, adding in units and gods inspired by Chinese mythology with the newly announced Immortal Pillars DLC.
