Former President Donald Trump’s son said Monday that the Department of Justice is putting his father’s “life even more at risk” by releasing a letter from attempted assassin Ryan Routh allegedly promising $150,000 to anyone who could successfully assassinate Trump. “This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you,” Routh allegedly wrote in the letter, which the Justice Department released during Routh’s pretrial detention hearing Monday. “I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.” The Justice Department said that publishing the letter will “assist counsel and the Court.” But Donald Trump Jr. disagrees, telling The Daily Wire that publishing the bounty letter puts his father in even more danger than before. “For the life of me, I do not understand why the Kamala-Biden DOJ is publicly releasing a letter from Ryan Wesley Routh announcing a $150,000 bounty on my dad’s head,” Donald Trump Jr. said. “They’re putting his life even more at risk with this reckless decision.” Routh, a Democrat donor who accused Trump of ending “relations with Iran like a child,” allegedly argued in the letter that “Everyone across the globe from the youngest to the oldest know that Trump is unfit to be anything, much less a U.S. president. U.S. presidents must at bare minimum embody the moral fabric that is America and be kind, caring and selfless and always stand for humanity.” Routh’s attempt comes after 20-year-old would-be assassin Thomas Crooks shot Trump in the ear, narrowly missing his head, during a Pennsylvania rally in July. They also found a notebook with “dozens of pages” filled with names and phone numbers related to Ukraine or how to join combat on behalf of Ukraine, the filing said. “On September 18, 2024, law enforcement was contacted by a civilian witness who stated that ROUTH had dropped off a box at his residence several months prior,” the filing said. “After learning of the September 15, 2024, incident at Trump International, the witness opened the box. The witness stated the box contained ammunition, a metal pipe, miscellaneous building materials, tools, four phones, and various letters. One handwritten letter, addressed to ‘The World,’ stated, among other things, ‘This was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump but I failed you. I tried my best and gave it all the gumption I could muster. It is up to you now to finish the job; and I will offer $150,000 to whomever can complete the job.'” The filing also notes that Routh was convicted on December 20, 2002, in Greensboro, North Carolina of possession of a weapon of mass destruction, the filing said — a “binary explosive device” — and convicted on March 3, 2010, of multiple counts of possession of stolen goods.

A previously deported Haitian illegal alien was arrested by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Massachusetts after being charged with sexual assault. Jefferson Jerome, 30, was arrested in Dorchester on September 11 by officers with ICE’s Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO). “Jefferson Jerome stands accused of a horrific crime against a resident of our Massachusetts community,” ERO Boston Field Office Director Todd M. Lyons said. “We will not tolerate the victimization of our neighbors. ERO Boston will continue to prioritize public safety by apprehending and removing egregious noncitizen offenders from New England.” Jerome, who was charged with sexual assault and battery, illegally entered the United States in September 2021 near Del Rio, Texas. Border Patrol then returned him to Mexico. Jerome successfully re-entered the country, however, in December 2022 and was apprehended by Customs and Border Patrol and given orders to appear before an immigration judge. The case comes just after another Haitian national was arrested by Boston ICE after he allegedly raped a teen girl in a hotel that was being used to house migrants. Cory Alvarez, 26, was freed on a $500 bail before he was arrested by federal immigration authorities despite ICE asking for the migrant to be transferred to their custody. The alleged crimes from the two Haitian nationals come as the city of Springfield, Ohio, has received national attention after an influx of 15,000 to 20,000 Haitian migrants under the Biden-Harris administration. The Rust Belt city had an estimated population of 57,000 before the Haitians relocated there, with residents saying that their presence has drained social services and made driving more dangerous. The Biden-Harris administration has presided over an unprecedented surge of illegal immigration into the United States. Georgia nursing student Laken Riley was allegedly killed by Jose Ibarra, a 26-year-old illegal immigrant from Venezuela, on February 22, 2024, just months before 12-year-old Jocelyn Nungaray was allegedly murdered by two illegal immigrants who were also from Venezuela. Nungaray’s alleged killers entered the United States during the Biden-Harris administration. One Honduran national and previously deported illegal alien was arrested earlier this month after he allegedly stabbed a 14-year-old girl in the hand with a butcher knife in Lowell, Indiana. Immigration has since become one of the top issues of the 2024 presidential election, with former President Donald Trump pledging to carry out the “largest deportation” operation in the history of the country. More than 10 million people have crossed the border under the Biden-Harris administration, with an estimated 1.7 million illegal immigrant gotaways recorded since Biden was inaugurated in 2021. There were a total of 415,000 reported gotaways for 2018, 2019, and 2020 during the Trump administration.

That was especially true for a bear with a taste for some jam. That yearning led the bear to break into a cabin, where his adventures were recorded on the security camera. The video, shared by cabin owner Scott Cloutier, doesn’t show how the bear breaks into the cabin. However, the back door is open next to the refrigerator so we can guess. The California Department of Fish and Wildlife says that bears frequently break into human residences searching for food. The animals are preparing for hibernation, which usually begins in October. Although this video is from Southern California, reports of bears ransacking residential areas happen nationwide.
