Trump Nominates ‘Tremendous Fighter’ Kelly Loeffler For SBA Administrator

President-elect Donald Trump announced late on Wednesday that he has nominated business leader and former U.S. Senator Kelly Loeffler (R-GA) to be the next administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA). “Kelly will bring her experience in business and Washington to reduce red tape, and unleash opportunity for our Small Businesses to grow, innovate, and thrive,” Trump said in a statement. “She will focus on ensuring that SBA is accountable to Taxpayers by cracking down on waste, fraud, and regulatory overreach.” Trump praised Loeffler as a “tremendous fighter” when she served in the U.S. Senate during his first term in office, noting that she helped pass the first-ever bill to protect women in sports. “Prior to her tenure in the U.S. Senate, Kelly built a 25 year career in financial services and technology,” Trump added. “Along with her amazing husband, Jeff, she helped build a Fortune 500 company from 100 employees to over 10,000, as Executive VP. She and Jeff also helped me secure the Big Election Win in Georgia!” Over the last four years, Trump said that Loeffler has worked to promote election integrity, outreach, and voter registration through her nonprofit, Greater Georgia. CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE “In addition to SBA Administrator, I’ve appointed her Co-Chair of the Presidential Inaugural Committee,” Trump added. Loeffler responded to the announcement by saying that she was “deeply honored” as she accepted the nomination. “Small businesses are huge for America,” she said. “They’re the beating heart of our economy and the gateway to the American Dream. “The America First Agenda will unleash a new era of growth and opportunity for job creators and innovators!” she added. As a fellow entrepreneur and business leader, I am deeply honored to accept President Trump’s nomination to serve as SBA Administrator. Small businesses are huge for America. They’re the beating heart of our economy and the gateway to the American Dream. The America First… pic.twitter.com/ILUqMcQ7pT — Kelly Loeffler (@KLoeffler) December 5, 2024

Jordan Demands DOJ Provide Evidence Regarding Possible Misconduct By Jack Smith

Jordan Demands DOJ Provide Evidence Regarding Possible Misconduct By Jack Smith

On Wednesday, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), the chairman of the House Committee on the Judiciary, fired off a letter to the Biden Department of Justice demanding the Office of Professional Responsibility provide critical information about the operations of Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team’s efforts to prosecute Donald Trump. Smith had charged Trump with trying to subvert the 2020 presidential election in one case and mishandling classified documents in another. “The information that you have provided only reinforces our concerns that OPR acts more to protect Department prosecutors than to root out prosecutorial misconduct,” Jordan wrote to Jeffrey Ragsdale, the counsel for OPR. “While we appreciate you confirming an open investigation into Jack Smith’s prosecutors, we are concerned that your refusal to take prompt investigative steps will allow these attorneys to evade internal accountability by leaving the Department.” CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE Jordan referred to a letter the Committee wrote in May in which they asked for “documents related to OPR’s investigations into allegations that Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team lied to a federal court, manipulated evidence seized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) during its raid of Mar-a-Lago, and improperly pressured a lawyer representing a defendant indicted by Smith.” The Committee followed up with another letter in August regarding professional misconduct regarding another member of Smith’s team, J.P. Cooney. After receiving no response, the Committee asked Ragsdale to make himself available to the Committee in September and followed up with another request in October regarding all their requests. On November 19, Ragsdale told the Committee that OPR had opened an investigation into Smith’s office in June 2023, but OPR did not conduct an “inquiry” or “investigation” into the allegations because it could “interfer[e] with” and “jeopardize” the prosecution, Jordan wrote. “As you explained it, the Department’s policy would keep bad-actor attorneys in place to continue prosecutorial misconduct because of the administrative difficulty and resource constraints involved in switching attorneys,” Jordan wrote. “This excuse not only defies common sense, but it seems to violate the Department’s mission to ensure that justice is done in every case.” After Trump was elected, Smith revealed that his team was “making moves to wind down the two criminal cases.” “Smith then gave your office permission to investigate the allegations of attorney misconduct by Smith’s office. You stated that Smith only allowed the investigation to begin because it would now no longer ‘interfere with the Special Counsel’s investigation and prosecution,’” Jordan noted. “It is absurd that OPR – the Department entity charged with upholding ethical conduct – would only examine allegations of prosecutorial misconduct after the subject of the allegations has approved the inquiry,” he declared. “Your continued failure to cooperate with our oversight and apparent intention to hide information from the Committee is more evidence that OPR operates to protect Department attorneys from independent accountability,” Jordan asserted. “This letter serves as a formal request to preserve all existing and future records and materials related to OPR’s investigation into Special Counsel Smith and members of his prosecution team. Your office should construe this preservation notice as an instruction to take all reasonable steps to prevent the destruction or alteration, whether intentionally or negligently, of all documents, communications, and other information, including electronic information and metadata, that are or may be responsive to this congressional inquiry.” #BREAKING: DOJ briefed the Committee on prosecutorial misconduct by Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team. Chairman @Jim_Jordan demands the DOJ produce the requested documents and information. pic.twitter.com/FIpwnZVARg — House Judiciary GOP ?????? (@JudiciaryGOP) December 5, 2024 In late November, a judge rejected Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s request that Smith preserve his records. In his request, Paxton wrote that he “fears that many releasable records … will never see daylight. That is not because DOJ has any legal reason to withhold them. Rather, Attorney General Paxton has a well-founded belief as set forth herein that Defendants will simply destroy the records. That is how they and/or their predecessors have operated in the recent past. And Jack Smith’s team has conducted itself in multiple ways that suggest it cannot be blindly trusted to preserve, and eventually produce, all of its records.”

Biden Aides Discussing Preemptive Pardons For Fauci, Schiff, Cheney: Report

According to a new report, President Joe Biden’s aides are discussing whether he should preemptively pardon government officials to protect them from possible inquiries or indictments from the incoming Trump administration. “White House officials … are carefully weighing the extraordinary step of handing out blanket pardons to those who’ve committed no crimes, both because it could suggest impropriety, only fueling Trump’s criticisms, and because those offered preemptive pardons may reject them,” POLITICO reported. Names mentioned by POLITICO include members of Congress’ Jan. 6 Committee as well as Sen.-elect Adam Schiff (D-CA), former Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY), and Dr. Anthony Fauci. “The beneficiaries know nothing,” one source insisted to POLITICO. CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE Some Democrats in Congress are urging Biden to issue the pardons. Massachusetts hard-Left Senator Ed Markey, attacking Trump, said in late November, “I think that without question, Trump is going to try to act in a dictatorial way, in a fascistic way, in a revengeful first year … towards individuals who he believes harmed him. … If it’s clear by January 19th that [revenge] is his intention, then I would recommend to President Biden that he provide those preemptive pardons to people, because that’s really what our country is going to need next year.” Rep. Brendan Boyle (D-PA) said on Wednesday, “This is no hypothetical threat. The time for cautious restraint is over. We must act with urgency to push back against these threats and prevent Trump from abusing his power.” Earlier this week, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters, “As it relates to pardon- — pardoning or any clemency, the president, as you know, at the end of the year, makes announcements. He’s thinking through that process very thoroughly. There’s a process in place, obviously. And so, once — I’m not going to get ahead of — of the president on this. But you could expect more announcement, more par- — pardons and clemency at the end of — at the end of — at the end of this term.” Asked how soon those other pardons could come, she answered, “I don’t have a timeline for you. As you know, this usually happens towards the end. And so, the president is going through that process, thinking through that process. I’m not going to get ahead of him. But you can expect more announcements to come.”

BTS’ V Mourns The Passing Of Beloved Dog Yeontan

South Korean singer and BTS member Kim Taehyung, more popularly known as V, shares the passing of his beloved Pomeranian on Monday, December 02. The BTS member shared the sad news on his Instagram story three days after the release of his newest digital single with renowned South Korean ballad singer Park Hyo-shin entitled ‘Winter Ahead’. He talked about how time has passed him by and that we’re already towards the end of the year. However, the BTS member shocked his fans when he revealed that his beloved Pomeranian, named Yeontan, and affectionately referred to as ‘Tannie’ by both his band members and fans, has crossed the rainbow bridge recently. He wrote in Korean, “Actually the reason why I’m writing this text is because recently Yeontan has left us on a long journey to dog heaven.” “I thought a lot about how to tell you guys, but since ARMY (BTS fans) you all sent so much love until now, I believed this was the right thing to do and delivered the news,” V added. https://twitter.com/BTStranslation_/status/1863522767892881691 V also asked fans to think of Yeontan from time to time, explaining, “I’ll be really thankful if you guys think about Yeontan from time to time so he can be happy in dog heaven.” The BTS member also wished that everyone can spend a warm end to the year “where you can tell your loved ones around you that you love them one more time.” In 2023, V reveals in an episode of a Korean YouTube show, called Pixid, that the pooch has heart problems, even undergoing and surviving two heart surgeries that were unsuccessful. In the episode, V explained, “Tan has a bad heart and had surgery twice. But both times it was unsuccessful. Every time it was unsuccessful, he could have died during the surgery. But his will kept him alive. I was so grateful that he fought for his life.” Yeontan made his “official debut” in December 2017, during fellow BTS member Jin’s birthday livestream. Since then, both BTS members and fans have shown the pooch a lot of love as he became as famous as his superstar dad. As a matter of fact, Yeontan even joined V in the singer’s official solo debut stage in a Korean music show program, and even had his own camera following him all throughout the performance. We hope Yeontan is having the time of his life in doggy heaven!

LG Ultragear 32GS95UE review: a 480Hz and 4K OLED gaming monitor in one

On paper, the LG Ultragear 32GS95UE is one of the most desirable and capable OLED gaming monitors around. Combining a large 32-inch screen size with a 4K resolution, it delivers a really sharp image while also being able to skip along at a speedy 240Hz refresh rate. But that's not all. Tap its dual-mode button and it will switch to 480Hz at 1080p, for an ultra-fast experience that's ideal for competitive first person shooters. The combination, along with its superb overall image quality and ultra-fast response time means this screen is easily one of the best gaming monitors around. However, with a high price and, also with LG OLED technology having previously disappointed us in some ways, it's worth digging deeper into whether this is the right screen for you.
