Voy a dejar Univisión. Y gracias a tí, Ilia.

Will YouTube follow in Google’s footsteps and end up in an antitrust lawsuit?

Will YouTube follow in Google’s footsteps and end up in an antitrust lawsuit?

In the wake of a court ruling that Google acted as a monopoly by illegally dominating the internet search market, many are wondering: Is YouTube next? Managing editor for Blaze Media’s Return Peter Gietl joins Jill Savage and the “Blaze News Tonight” panel to discuss whether or not YouTube could also be subject to an antitrust lawsuit. “Should YouTube be investigated for potential antitrust violations?” asks Jill. “Absolutely,” is Gietl’s answer. “They’ve exhibited behavior for going on decades now of collusion and monopolistic practices – stifling competitors, price gouging, price fixing. I mean there’s really an argument to be made for this,” he says. Blaze Media editor in chief Matthew Peterson wonders “how we got to this situation” in the first place. According to Gietl, it all started in the mid-90s when DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), a research and development agency of the U.S. Department of Defense, funded Google for the sake of creating online libraries. Seems innocent enough. However, online libraries weren't the only thing DARPA was funding. “They wanted the ability to track search queries,” says Gietl. “They thought if they could keep track of different groups and what they were searching, it would be an extremely powerful tool to track the population.” “Google came out of that original funding, so they’ve had a long and storied history of collusion with the alphabet agencies,” he explains. Today, “Google controls 90% of search, and I think most of the rest of it runs through YouTube, which is also owned by Google,” Gietl continues. “Any business that wants to advertise has to play in their sandbox, and they have to follow their rules, and they control basically all of the online advertising and search queries in the entire world.” “We know that they're suppressing the content of conservatives and conservative speech,” says Jill, pointing to how Blaze content is constantly warring against censorship barriers. Gietl says that while we technically are a free market, society no longer operates as such, given that the smaller entities are up against “giant players,” like Google, “that wield tremendous amounts of power.” “Like any company on the right, [Blaze Media] would prefer not to be in business with these people at all,” says Peterson, “but the problem is if you want to reach people and you actually want to generate revenue, you don't have an alternative ecosystem that's large enough to do that.” “When we put out a video onto YouTube and we talk about certain topics, we know that we'll be demonetized, that we will be taken down, that they'll shut our whole channel down,” he laments, adding that that’s why it’s so important to get your content directly from the source. “This is why we need you to just subscribe and support us directly, because the more people that do that, the more we don't have to worry about any of this,” he says. “Do you think this court decision against Google will have any real-life impact?” Peterson asks. To hear Gietl’s answer, watch the clip above. Harris failed to cover her tracks after copy-and-pasting policy agenda from Biden campaign

Harris failed to cover her tracks after copy-and-pasting policy agenda from Biden campaign

After keeping potential voters in the dark about her intentions for several weeks, Kamala Harris quietly uploaded a policy platform to her website Sunday evening. While the Harris campaign likely figured this would keep critics at bay, keen observers noticed something awfully familiar about the agenda and soon discovered the reason why, lurking just beneath the surface. Harris appears to have copied and pasted parts or perhaps the entirety of her platform directly from the Biden campaign page without bothering to cover her tracks. 'Join our campaign to re-elect Joe Biden today.' The dead giveaway, highlighted by multiple X users late Sunday and then subsequently by the New Republic, was that the new issues section of Harris' website — titled "A New Way Forward - Kamala Harris for President" — contained metadata clearly ported over from the Biden campaign's issues page, including the line, "Together, we can finish the job for the American people. Are you with us? Join our campaign to re-elect Joe Biden today." The Biden-branded metadata appeared in the website's description on Google searches as well as when links to the website were shared online, meaning neither an amateur sleuth nor a tech wizard were needed to expose the platform copy-and-paste. It appears the Harris campaign has since deleted the remaining evidence of its political plagiarism. 'More of the same.' This amounts to another major narrative setback for Harris. After all, she has worked desperately to disentangle herself from President Joe Biden since replacing him as the Democratic candidate. It also undoes the supportive efforts of liberal publications like Politico, which have worked feverishly to gloss over her complicity in Biden's failings and criticized those who would dare "tether Harris to Biden." The latest poll from New York Times/Siena College indicated that this desperation to distinguish Harris from Biden is justified. When asked whether then next president should represent a major change from Joe Biden, 63% of respondents answered, "Major change." When asked whether Harris represents change or more of the same, 56% of respondents said, "More of the same." Only 25% said she represented a major change. The exposé of Harris' policy copy-and-paste is hardly the first strong indication that the Democratic presidential candidate is little more than a new face for the same political machine. The 2024 Democratic Party platform released by the Democratic National Convention's platform committee last month failed to swap out Biden's name in various places for that of his vice president, leaving some to conclude there would be little difference between a second Biden term and a first Harris term. The 92-page document referenced Biden's "second term" over 18 times. In his recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. provided a startling insight into why the Democratic presidential candidates might be so interchangeable. "When you talk to Democrats about, you know, 'Do you really think it's a good idea to be electing somebody who cannot give an interview?' they say, 'Well ... you're electing the people around her, you're electing the apparatus,'" said Kennedy. "The apparatus, I don't have any faith in it." Blaze News reached out to the Harris campaign for comment but did not immediately receive a response. Like Blaze News? Best Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown cars and full car list

What are the best cars in Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown? While the Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown car list was teased to feature over a hundred vehicles before launch, now the game is here it appears to have just shy of that figure, coming in at 99 in total. Cars can be bought at the various dealerships all over the island, but since Solar Coins are so tough to earn compared to the price of most cars, you need to know you're spending your money on something worthwhile. There are five categories of vehicle in Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown: daily drivers, grand tourers, hypercars, off-road, and supercars. Meanwhile, dealerships focus on manufacturers and nationalities mostly, such as the British, German, and Italian dealerships. Then you have individual dealerships for Ferrari and Lamborghini, plus a Classic cars dealership too. Affording them will be a touch easier thanks to the upcoming compensation, though they're still expensive. Here are the best cars in Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown, along with a list of all the cars in the racing game. New Steam RPG Immortal Hunters is Hades meets beat ’em ups

I just can’t get enough of beat-’em-ups if I’m honest. What started as a love of Castle Crashers evolved into trying out the Battletoads reboot and taking a chance on TMNT Shredders Revenge. Thrashing waves of enemies in these games never gets old, but doing so with increasingly powerful moves and equipment is even better. That’s why combining beat-’em-ups with RPG mechanics is a tried and true formula, giving you even more ways to smash your foes. This is  what Immortal Hunters is all about, but combined with a Hades-like art style. It’s finally arrived on Steam. Oh, and there’s a demo you can try for free as well. Iconic ninja game returns after 40 years, gets funded in under an hour

Time moves fast, videogames even more so. What was new in 2020 is a throwback four years later. Some series survive. Civilization remains a mainstay of PC gaming. Everyone still loves Half-Life. There’s plenty of life in Resident Evil. But for all the games that never fade away, a hundred more are lost to the annals of history. In 1987, one action, fighting, and ninja game paved the way for the likes of Tenchu and Sekiro with a mix of puzzles and combat. You could be forgiven for thinking it was lost for good, but now, four decades since it first arrived, it’s arguably hotter than ever - in less than 60 minutes, The Last Ninja Collection has obliterated its funding goal. Silent Hill 2 system requirements

What are the Silent Hill 2 system requirements? While its minimum specs shouldn't frighten anyone, you may feel a chill up your spine looking at its recommended hardware if your gaming PC is starting to show its age. While the best graphics card on the market would be overkill for Silent Hill 2, it's definitely nice to have if you're aiming for decent 4K performance. These system requirements have been available for quite some time, and they're always subject to change but currently fall in line with expected specs for modern releases in 2024.
