Democrat-Appointed Judge Blocks Musk From Receiving Compensation Package Approved By Shareholders

A Delaware judge blocked Tesla CEO Elon Musk from receiving a massive multibillion dollar compensation package this week that the company’s shareholders overwhelmingly approved for him. The ruling from Chancellor Kathaleen McCormick of the Delaware Court of Chancery, who was appointed by Delaware Democrat Governor John Carney, comes after she struck down the same deal in January when she ruled that the size of package was not fair. McCormick awarded the plaintiff’s attorneys $345 million in the case, equivalent to $17,692 per hour for the amount of time worked, because they had to face “some of the best law firms in the country, who put Plaintiff through their paces.” The Delaware judge’s justification for making Tesla pay $345 million (!) in attorney’s fees is: a) Tesla had good lawyers (?) b) Plaintiff hired an “accounting expert” c) Billed 20,000 hours d) Plaintiff had to come up with theory for why they deserve zillions of $$ e) that’s it pic.twitter.com/43IbfAIrJj — Gregg Re (@gregg_re) December 2, 2024 this Delaware verdict awards the plaintiff’s attorneys $17,692 per hour for suing Tesla $345,000,000/19,499.95 hours Judge claims it’s worth it because they “litigated effectively” and “overcame hurdles”. incredible pic.twitter.com/9f73q4PIdZ — Gregg Re (@gregg_re) December 3, 2024 Tesla said in a statement that they will appeal the ruling because the judge’s ruling sets a dangerous precedent in which judges, not shareholders, run companies in the state of Delaware. “A Delaware judge just overruled a supermajority of shareholders who own Tesla and who voted twice to pay @elonmusk what he’s worth,” Tesla said in a statement on X. “The court’s decision is wrong, and we’re going to appeal.” CHECK OUT THE DAILY WIRE HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE “This ruling, if not overturned, means that judges and plaintiffs’ lawyers run Delaware companies rather than their rightful owners – the shareholders,” the company added. A Delaware judge just overruled a supermajority of shareholders who own Tesla and who voted twice to pay @elonmusk what he’s worth. The court’s decision is wrong, and we’re going to appeal. This ruling, if not overturned, means that judges and plaintiffs’ lawyers run Delaware… — Tesla (@Tesla) December 2, 2024 The size of the package has exploded since she first rejected the deal since the $50 billion in stock options that shareholders initially approved is now worth well over $100 billion because of the success that Tesla has had. In June, 77% of the shareholders at Tesla voted to approve the compensation for Musk. The New York Times noted that the package stipulated that Musk would only get the options “if Tesla’s stock price soared and its sales and earnings grew strongly.” The Times, which has been critical of Musk, acknowledged that Musk beat naysayers who doubted that he could actually achieve the goals that were set out for him to be able to earn the package.

Peyton Manning Shocks Crowd With Impromptu Performance at Nashville Bar

Peyton Manning gave Nashville bargoers a surprise when he hopped on stage to sing a David Allan Coe classic. Late last month, the Super Bowl champ was in Music City to host the 2024 Country Music Association Awards with Luke Bryan and Lainey Wilson. While there, he got the true tourist experience by visiting the local honky tonks. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Raised Rowdy (@raisedrowdy) Along the way, Peyton Manning visited the famed Losers Bar and Grill to watch some live music. He decided to join the band for a cover of Gary’s You Never Even Called Me by My Name. Once a video of the performance hit social media, it went viral. Fans Can’t Get Enough Of Peyton Manning’s Nashville Performance Losers posted a clip on Instagram, writing, “We didn’t have Peyton Manning Singing David Allan Coe on my 2024 Awards Week Bingo Card… but here we are.” To date, nearly 95K fans have loved it. “And with this, Peyton Manning surpasses Tom Brady as the Greatest of all Time,” someone commented. “AMAZING!!! & that right there is why we named my daughter Peyton,” a fan added. “New level of Tennessee has just been unlocked,” another person joked. We wouldn’t say Peyton Manning is as good a singer as he was a quarterback, but his enthusiasm was contagious, and we’re jealous of all the fans who got to watch him sing live! Homeowner opens fire on suspected burglar — who heads into another residence, steals truck, leads cops on high-speed chase

A homeowner in Sacramento, California, opened fire on a suspected burglar Friday afternoon, and the alleged crook headed into a different residence, stole a truck, and then led police on a high-speed chase. The Sacramento County Sheriff's Office told KOVR-TV it received a 3 p.m. call about a burglary along Chandler Drive in south Sacramento.Sheriff's spokesperson Amar Gandhi said in KOVR's video report that the suspect is a 'lifelong criminal' with a record showing more than 20 years of 'theft charges, gun charges, drug charges — you name it, he's got everything under the sun.'Deputies told KCRA-TV the alleged thief — 40-year-old Emelio Correa — tried to break in; the family inside shouted for him to go away, but he refused. Authorities told the station the suspect failed to get into the home — and investigators said the homeowner fired at least one gunshot at the suspect, KOVR noted. Deputies indicated the homeowner — a legal gun owner — shot the suspect in the hand, KCRA-TV reported, adding that the suspect's blood was left behind at the scene.KOVR's video report about the incident shows police investigating a front-entrance window with a large bullet hole. However, the suspect did get inside a different residence soon after. The owner of the second home told KRCA the suspect got in because the front door was accidentally left unlocked. With that, the suspect entered the garage, found keys on a truck's front seat, and led deputies on a high-speed chase on Highway 99, KCRA reported. Cuong Nguyen — the owner of the second residence — wasn't home during the incident but told KCRA the suspect plowed right into his garage door to steal his truck, after which half his garage door was "in the middle of the street" when he returned. The chase ended after Correa hit spike strips near Arno Road and rolled the truck into a ditch, KCRA reported. The suspect was then taken into custody, KOVR noted.Correa suffered minor injuries and was being held in Sacramento County jail on a $100,000 bond, KCRA reported, adding that he was expected in court Tuesday to face four felonies. You can view KCRA's video report here.Sheriff's spokesperson Amar Gandhi said in KOVR's video report that the suspect is a "lifelong criminal" with a record showing more than 20 years of "theft charges, gun charges, drug charges — you name it, he's got everything under the sun."Like Blaze News? Trust in the FBI has cratered among Americans, says CNN pollster

CNN poll analyst Harry Enten documented how Americans have drastically lost trust in the Federal Bureau of Investigation through the past decades. President-elect Donald Trump nominated former National Security Council official Kash Patel as director of the FBI over loud protest from many on the left and some establishment Republicans. 'That is by far the lowest number this century.' Enten showed that polling had found a large majority had faith in the FBI doing a good or excellent job, about 59% in 2014. That dropped to 57% in 2019, 50% in 2022, and a shocking 41% in 2024. “Look at where we are today, my goodness gracious, just 41% of Americans think the FBI is doing an excellent or good job. That is by far the lowest number this century,” he said. “The bottom line is during the Trump administration obviously there were the investigations into Donald Trump. You saw a little bit of drop then and then post-January 6, look at that drop. 50%, now 41%. My goodness gracious.”Enten said the low trust in the FBI meant that drastic changes made to the Bureau would likely meet with little resistance. “I think Patel has real reason to believe that Americans would go along changes he might potentially make at the FBI, and there’s a reason why Donald Trump feels like he can make this change,” he explained. Despite being excoriated for its investigations into alleged misconduct by Trump, the FBI has been similarly lambasted over an investigation into then-candidate Hillary Clinton ahead of the 2016 election. Enten posted the CNN video on his social media account. Trump said Patel would tackle human trafficking, immigrant criminal gangs, and a growing crime crisis in the U.S. when he announced his decision. "Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and 'America First' fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People," he wrote on social media. "He played a pivotal role in uncovering the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax, standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution."Like Blaze News?
