For night owls who stayed up, SpaceX delivered a midnight show. Its Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Cape Canaveral. It was carrying 24 Starlink satellites into orbit. The launch was part of SpaceX’s ongoing mission to bring global internet services closer to reality. Seems like a lot of work just to make sure people have internet access. SpaceX is targeting midnight for a Falcon 9 launch of 24 Starlink satellites from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. There is a backup opportunity early Saturday morning at 3:58 a.m. If the rocket doesn’t launch by then, the next option will be 11:39 p.m. Saturday night. Special Counsel Jack Smith seems to have one last trick up his sleeve against President Donal Trump. According to CNN, Smith plans to drop a report targeting Trump before Inauguration Day. This comes after a string of courtroom losses. Is this Smith being vindictive? Afterall, Judge Chutkan dismissed the January 6 case. and an appeals court tossed the classified documents case. So, why release this report? How much truth will be in it? My hunch is that this attempt will fall flat, like all the other cases against Trump.
