10 Best Hidden Tracks On Rock Music Albums

This article explores what we consider the top ten hidden tracks in rock and roll music. A hidden track is typically a song placed after the album’s last listed song, uncredited in the liner notes or on the CD or cassette tape’s packaging. This practice wasn’t feasible with vinyl records, as the tracks are visibly etched into the surface. However, on CDs, a hidden track might appear after a pause of 10 to 20 seconds following the final listed song, often included as part of the last track number. The trend of including hidden tracks has largely faded with the The post 10 Best Hidden Tracks On Rock Music Albums appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Two Penguins Will Be On Your TV This Fall in The Penguin and Batman: Caped Crusader

News the Penguin Two Penguins Will Be On Your TV This Fall in The Penguin and Batman: Caped Crusader Fowl play is afoot By Molly Templeton | Published on July 29, 2024 Comment 0 Share New Share There can always be more than one—at least where characters in the extended Batman universe are concerned. We’ve got at least four Harley Quinns in assorted movies and series, so why not two Penguins? Last weekend, a newcomer to the Penguin scene was announced: Minnie Driver will be voicing a gender-swapped Penguin in the upcoming animated series Batman: Caped Crusader. Driver joins Hamish Linklater as Batman and Jamie Chung as Harley Quinn (yes, another one) in the show, which comes from Bruce Timm (Batman: The Animated Series) and has Ed Brubaker as head writer for its first season. The New York Times said of Caped Crusader, “In its storytelling, the new series is not necessarily concerned with making Batman likable — either to the citizens of Gotham or to its audience — as he pursues his agenda.” At San Diego Comic Con, Driver said of Oswalda Cobblepot, “This was such a beautiful retelling of that villain. It was joyful. And, I mean, she’s dreadful.” Caped Crusader also stars the voices of Diedrich Bader, Christina Ricci, Mckenna Grace, David Krumholtz, Haley Joel Osment, and Toby Stephens, among many others. It premieres on Prime Video on August 1st. Not to be outdone, Colin Farrell’s Penguin also made an appearance at SDCC. Farrell had to Zoom in for the show’s panel, which featured director Matt Reeves and co-stars Cristin Milioti and Rhenzy Feliz, along with makeup designer Mike Marino and executive producer Dylan Clark. You know the makeup is important when the makeup designer is on the Comic-Con panel; Marino said that this Penguin’s look “was inspired by Harvey Weinstein and injured birds,” Variety noted. The Penguin’s panel came with a new trailer, in which Mr. Cobb does several different kinds of murder and plans to run Gotham’s criminal elements before encountering an unexpected bit of opposition: Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti), freshly released from Arkham. “I’ve been rehabilitated,” she says, unconvincingly. The most enjoyable moment in this whole trailer may be the alarmed look on good old Oz’s face when she says this. The Penguin’s cast also includes Shohreh Aghdashloo as Nadia Maroni, Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni, and Carmen Ejogo as Eve Karlo. The eight-episode limited series premieres September 19th on Max.[end-mark] The post Two Penguins Will Be On Your TV This Fall in The Penguin and Batman: Caped Crusader appeared first on Reactor.

Everyone Gets Way Too Logical Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Teaser

News star trek: strange new worlds Everyone Gets Way Too Logical Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 3 Teaser Logical hijinks are on the horizon By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on July 29, 2024 Credit: Paramount+ Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Paramount+ Star Trek was strong at San Diego Comic-Con this weekend. Not only did the franchise team up with the Doctor Who franchise to celebrate “Intergalactic Friendship Day” in an activation at the event, but the Trek panel in Hall H released a bevy of trailers and news about several Star Trek series. One of those shows was Strange New Worlds, which is set to come back soon with its third season. To celebrate the occasion, we got an extended teaser where Captain Pike (Anson Mount), Nurse Chapel (Jess Bush), Ensign Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding), and Lt. Noonien-Singh (Christina Chong) genetically become Vulcans for space reasons. They and Spock (who, they can’t help but repeatedly point out, is half-Vulcan) complete the required mission. But when they try to turn back into their non-Vulcan selves, it doesn’t work! The clip ends then but there’s no doubt that hijinks will ensue. (Logically, of course.) That wasn’t the only news we got about the show, either. It was also announced that Cillian O’Sullivan (In From The Cold) will play the legacy role of Dr. Roger Korby, a character first portrayed by Michael Strong in The Original Series. Korby was a love interest for Chapel in TOS, so odds are good we’ll see some sparks between the two in the upcoming episodes. Season Three of Strange New Worlds is scheduled to come out in 2025 on Paramount+, with a fourth season already greenlit. The first two seasons are currently available for your viewing pleasure on the streamer. Check out the teaser clip below. Star Trek: Lower Decks Trailer Gives Nod to The Undiscovered Country, Reveals Release Date

News Star Trek: Lower Decks Star Trek: Lower Decks Trailer Gives Nod to The Undiscovered Country, Reveals Release Date Star Trek VI deep cut??? It’s like you love us or something By Vanessa Armstrong | Published on July 29, 2024 Credit: Paramount+ Comment 0 Share New Share Credit: Paramount+ During San Diego Comic-Con this weekend, the cast of the animated series Star Trek: Lower Decks took to the stage in Hall H to share a trailer for the show’s fifth and final season. And even though the series is facing its final episodes, the clip makes clear that Lower Decks’ irreverence for making deep Trek cuts for laughs remains strong. In this case, the deep cut is a trailer for 1991’s Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. The setup for both trailers is the same, something that is sure to tickle many a Trek fan’s fancy. The trailer also teases many things mentioned in the synopsis for the fifth and final season of Lower Decks: In season five of Star Trek: Lower Decks, the crew of the U.S.S. Cerritos is tasked with closing “space potholes” – subspace rifts which are causing chaos in the Alpha Quadrant. Pothole duty would be easy for Jr. Officers Mariner, Boimler, Tendi and Rutherford… if they didn’t also have to deal with an Orion war, furious Klingons, diplomatic catastrophes, murder mysteries and scariest of all: their own career aspirations. This upcoming season on Paramount+ is a celebration of this underdog crew who are dangerously close to being promoted out of the lower decks and into strange new Starfleet roles. Season Five of Lower Decks premieres on Paramount+ with two episodes on October 24, 2024. Following the premiere, new episodes of the ten-episode season will drop every Thursday leading up to the series finale on Thursday, December 19. Check out the trailer below. [end-mark] The post Star Trek: Lower Decks Trailer Gives Nod to The Undiscovered Country, Reveals Release Date appeared first on Reactor.
