Sister Discovers Heart-Melting Journal Big Brother Made About Her When She Was 2

Reading a sibling’s journal might sound like a dangerous activity, but one woman on social media wasn’t worried when she started leafing through her brother’s thoughts. After all, he’d written these words when he was a teenager, and the two of them were now adults. Besides, this particular diary was never private — it was a high school assignment. What Kelsey Ann found inside her brother’s old journal touched her heart! As it turned out, this boy’s entire assignment had been about his little sister, who was only two at the time. His child development class had required him to keep an observational diary about a younger kid. Who better to focus on than his own sibling? At the end of the journal, this big brother wrote the most beautiful letter to the toddler. Kelsey Ann shared a photo of it on social media, and it brought us to tears! Screengrab from TikTok In his letter, the teenage boy told his little sister just how much she meant to him. He was grateful to her for bringing joy into his life and inspiring him to be a better person. Then, this big brother made her the most precious promise. “I know I will always, without a doubt take care of you, protect you, listen to you and love you,” he wrote. Kelsey Ann explained in her social media post that she was 17 years younger than her sibling. She hadn’t seen this heartfelt letter before, and reading it filled her with emotion. According to her caption, her brother kept all of the sweet promises he made to her in his journal. Screengrab from TikTok Apparently, this young man’s diary had been filed away for Kelsey Ann to discover in the future. She found it in a baby chest filled with sentimental items for her to pass down to her own children, should she choose to become a mom. We’re sure this little sister is going to hold on to her brother’s journal for a long time! You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. Complete List Of Lone Justice Albums And Songs

Lone Justice may not have stayed together long, but their legacy looms large over the realms of country rock, roots music, and Americana. Formed in Los Angeles in the early 1980s, the band fused country’s heart and soul with the raw energy of punk and the melodic precision of rock, carving a unique space in the music world. At the heart of it all was Maria McKee, one of the most electrifying vocalists of her generation. McKee’s powerful, emotive voice and magnetic stage presence solidified her status as a legend, elevating Lone Justice from local favorites to critical darlings. Column: Journalist Tantrums About Elon Musk Don't Fix Public Distrust

There’s something about Donald Trump winning an election that drives journalists crazy. The National Press Club in the nation’s capital is an epicenter of media arrogance, as anyone could see from its November 21 “Fourth Estate Awards Gala,” in which they proclaimed they were honoring the “fearless pursuit of truth.” But as always, the “truth” is expected to lead to “justice,” which in their view is the opposite of Trump winning the presidency again. Trump’s victory demoralized journalists. They felt like 76.8 million Americans completely ignored their years and years or besmirching Trump as a fascist threat to democracy. Axios.com co-founder Jim VandeHei uncorked a temper tantrum at the awards ceremony, as he boasted about being in a “war for truth, for freedom.” Translation: For the Democrats. He can’t stand anyone attacking them for making “fake news,” or for ahem, engaging in non-stop Democrat Party talking points. Joy! Vibes! Brat! And all that. ANGRY AXIOS: Jim VandeHei uncorks tantrum/award speech, yelling at Elon Musk over describing people who aren't liberal-elite journalists as journalists. pic.twitter.com/ixotkKiH8L — Tim Graham (@TimJGraham) November 27, 2024 “I’m not gonna sugar-coat it, like everything we do is under fire,” VandeHei complained. “Elon Musk sits on Twitter every day, or X today, saying like, 'We are the media, you are the media.' My message to Elon Musk is: Bulls**t. You’re not the media. You having – [applause] you having a blue check mark, a Twitter handle, and 300 words of cleverness doesn’t make you a reporter!” This is a little funny, since Axios.com was touted by the National Press Club for its “smart brevity.” When it writes little bursts of text for busy, governing-elite people with low attention spans, they’re still hailed as “smart.” At 1 am on Election Night, as it became apparent Trump would win again, Musk tweeted, “You are the media.” This enraged VandeHei because journalism is an elite profession, for highly educated people who educate the masses, even if the masses don’t accept their lessons.   VandeHei lamented, “being a reporter’s hard. Really hard. You have to care. You have to do the hard work. You have to get up every single day, and say I want to get to the closest approximation of the truth without any fear, without any favoritism. You don’t do that by popping off on Twitter. You don’t do that by having an opinion. You do it by doing the hard work.” VandeHei seems to forget that part of the reason people don’t trust journalists is they show a lot of favoritism. They fear being seen as too centrist by their colleagues. They spend large amounts of time popping off on Twitter and opinionating on cable television. Opinions are more highly prized than investigations. Investigative reporters aren’t making Scarborough money. Naturally, “Morning Joe” played some of VandeHei’s tantrum, and Joe Scarbrough asked for a “slow clap,” like VandeHei was Tom Cruise at the end of “Top Gun.” Scarborough oafishly equated all media criticism with lying: “It continues to need to be said when all of the garbage that’s flying around on social media, lying about reporters, lying about the hard work they do, lying about the hard work editors do, lying about everything up and down about not only their alternative set of facts, but alternative set of facts about what people like you do.” Did he produce any examples? No. Because ovations and overbroad opinionating is all that matters. If "smart" journalists want to figure out the election results, they can't conclude that every media criticism is a lie. They have to engage with critiques and stop thinking they are the most heroic and crucial actors in politics, that democracy dies when people unsubscribe. They need to talk less, and listen more. Don’t count on that.

Forgotten Command and Conquer game suddenly hits Steam after 12 years

Will a new Command and Conquer game ever happen? The superlative Command and Conquer Remastered Collection, which combines Tiberian Dawn and Red Alert, is the closest we’ve gotten in recent years. EA has also repackaged and re-released the entire series on Steam - for a moment, back in March, it felt like something was happening. But the fog of war has descended once again, and while RTS rivals like Tempest Rising and Age of Empires continue to soar, C&C remains mostly AWOL. But something unusual has just happened. Originally released back in 2012, the likely forgotten MMO-like Command and Conquer Tiberium Alliances, previously available only on browsers, suddenly has a Steam page.
