Paul Krugman to Biden: Your Economic Messaging Isn’t Working, Keep Doing It

In New York Times columnist Paul Krugman’s latest Bidenomics propaganda piece, he reveals the extent of his delusional state when he actually characterized the president’s economy as a “success.”  Krugman published a June 3 op-ed fawning over the Biden economy headlined, “Should Biden Downplay His Own Success.” For most of the article, Krugman continues his classic pattern of ignoring inconvenient facts and rebuking struggling Americans as whiners. But when Krugman once again complained about the American public persistently giving President Joe Biden low marks on the economy, he offered the president some wildly illogical advice.  Krugman’s big advice for Biden is to double-down on the same economic messaging that apparently isn’t reaching the average American in polls.  Krugman wrote, “So how should Biden and his people talk about the economy now? I’d suggest that they simply tell the truth as they see it. Which, as far as I can tell, is what they’ve been doing all along.” Forget the voters, suggests Krugman, “There’s overwhelming evidence that most Americans’ negative views about the economy don’t reflect their lived experience.” Wow, that’s pretty easy for a media talking head worth $5 million to say. It doesn’t appear he needs to worry about his lived experience.  Krugman somehow acknowledges that Biden “telling voters to buck up and realize how good they have it would also be a bad move.” However, Krugman seems to have no problem making that argument for the president himself. He then pivots again into a complete lack of self-awareness: “To be clear, nobody is suggesting that Biden administration officials should tell Americans to sit down, eat their Happy Meals and stop complaining.” Not only did Krugman  just do exactly that in his latest piece, he is the same public figure who recently condescended to Americans by lecturing them that the reason why they hate the economy so much is really just because they “hate Biden.”  In effect, Krugman twisted himself into a contradiction pretzel.  Krugman also apparently couldn’t stand his colleagues within the liberal media drum circle being more realistic about the precarious state of the economy. He railed at The Washington Post and Financial Times for suggesting that Biden is turning away American voters by bragging about the economy.  In Krugman’s twilight zone, the economy “isn’t bad,” it’s “remarkable” even, the growth of which is the “envy of other wealthy nations.”  Krugman conveniently left out the part that much of the so-called “growth” is being bought by the government via an enormous amount of debt, as Heritage Foundation economist EJ Antoni pointed out May 30. As the old saying goes, the devil’s in the details, but don’t expect Krugman to be forthcoming about it. As is consistently the case, Krugman forgets that Americans paying higher prices under Biden are capable of remembering that things used to be better. Americans have endured 5.5% inflation monthly under President Biden, after only enduring an average of 1.9% inflation under former President Trump. Krugman even tried to excuse the recent acceleration in prices as a possible “statistical blip.” Talk about wishful thinking on steroids.    Krugman didn’t bother mentioning gas prices, which have risen from $2.42 when Trump left office in Jan 2021 to $3.73 as of April 2024. He also didn’t care to address how this “remarkable” economy includes a decline in real wages since Biden took office.  This economy that’s supposedly the “envy of other wealthy nations” has also seen rising mortgage rates, making it much harder for Americans to buy a home. Home insurance costs are also rising.  Conservatives are under attack. Contact The New York Times at 1 (800) 698-4637 and demand it distance itself from Krugman’s economic nonsense.

Legal expert offers bold prediction about Georgia election interference case — and Democrats won't like it: 'It's over'

Legal expert Elie Honig believes the Georgia election interference case may be on life-support.On Wednesday, the Georgia Court of Appeals halted all proceedings in the case involving former President Donald Trump until the court decides whether or not Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis (D) should be disqualified from prosecuting the case. The appellate court has tentatively scheduled oral arguments to decide that issue on Oct. 4.'If Trump and the defendants prevail in this appeal, this case is essentially a toast.'Because the appeals process will take months to play out, that means Trump and his codefendants will not be tried in the case until after the election. But Honig believes the case is effectively "over.""It's over. Let's be realistic: It's not happening before the 2024 election. It's not happening in 2024. It's maybe not happening at all," he declared on CNN.Honig based his prediction on the fact that the Georgia Court of Appeals not only decided to take the case, but it stayed all proceedings in the trial court pending its decision."They didn't have to pause the district court," he explained. "In fact, the trial court judge — when he issued his ruling allowing Donald Trump and the others to ask the appeals court to take the case — specified, 'While you all are doing that, I am going to continue holding proceedings in this trial court.' Now, today, just a couple hours ago, the appeals court said, 'No, no, no, pause that, too.'""So, that tells me that they are taking this appeal very seriously. And if Trump and the defendants prevail in this appeal, this case is essentially a toast," Honig predicted. Aside from the question of Willis' potential disqualification, Honig spotlighted the "bigger" issue that could sink the case."There is a separate issue that Trump and the other defendants are going to raise that I think is a bigger deal, which is Fani Willis' inappropriate comments about the case outside of court," he said."Judge McAfee found those comments to be 'legally improper,' and then he did nothing about it," he explained. "And so, the defense is going to argue to the Court of Appeals, 'If the prosecutor makes 'legally improper' statements that impair the constitutional rights of the defendant, there needs to be a remedy for that."The question, then, is what the remedy should be: Willis' disqualification or for the case to be dismissed.Of course, whether Trump faces a jury in Georgia depends on the outcome of the election, as it would be unlikely that he would go to trial if he is the sitting president.Like Blaze News? 'People are being coddled': Trigger warnings increasingly embraced by Hollywood even as they spoil plotlines

Despite trigger warnings increasingly spoiling the stories of shows and movies, entertainment and streaming companies only seem to be widening the net of themes that require advanced warning. The industry seemingly reached maximum parody with the latest trigger warning for 1990 crime classic "Goodfellas." The message warned viewers that there were Italian mobsters in a movie about the Italian mob."This film includes language and/or cultural stereotypes that are inconsistent with today's standards of inclusion and tolerance and may offend some viewers," the message read.Warnings about stereotypes or offensive material are ever-present, but notifications about trauma-related triggers for TV shows have become even more detrimental to the user experience. In effort to prevent a sensitive viewer from experiencing any form of slight discomfort, trauma warnings have actually ruined the plots of many episodes. As Variety reported, Netflix's "Baby Reindeer" gave away that a sexual assault scene was coming with a warning that read "the following episode contains depictions of sexual violence which some viewers may find troubling." For viewers of a popular series, it's fairly easy to predict what the content warning is referring to when it can easily be connected to a character's story arc.An international streaming service called Stan foreshadowed a suicide in "Better Call Saul" with a hotline number. Apple TV+ did so similarly by warning viewers about "a depiction of self-harm" in the show "Severance."'When you give a trigger warning you're validating a person's feelings about getting offended.'Suicide and sexual assault are the top reasons for applying warnings before content, but even if it comes at cost of the plot, many industry members just don't care.John Whipple, founder of "Does the Dog Die" said that he doesn't care if he ruins movies. "I Spoil Movies and I’m Proud of it" the latest article on his website read.Whipple said his data makes it obvious that there is an unmet need for very specific content warnings for all forms of entertainment.Colleen Clemens, the director of women’s, gender, and sexuality studies at Pennsylvania’s Kutztown University, told Variety that while trauma and discomfort have started to become "conflated," she still supports trigger warnings."I appreciate a TV show that says at the beginning that it depicts sexual violence," she told the outlet. "That's great, thank you for telling me. I can now make a decision if I feel like I could watch that right now."Clemens even wrote a piece in defense of trigger warnings for the Southern Poverty Law Center in 2016.She described trigger warnings as a way to avoid memories of trauma. She even noted that she has given verbal trigger warnings when teaching at a high school, and even to adults in a university setting."I do not see the act as coddling. Rather, I see it as an act of nurturing," Clemens said.Stand-up comedian Leonarda Jonie sees it quite differently.'Now trigger warnings are broadened to include nonsensical gender identification, safe spaces, and even warnings of 'trans-misogyny.'"The whole reason for trigger warnings is because people are being coddled. They're told that they're not responsible for their own feelings, that it's someone else's fault.""When you give a trigger warning you're validating a person's feelings about getting offended," Jonie continued. "It's telling them they should be offended and it fuels their self-righteous attitude."No type of content seems to be safe from such warnings, which in many cases, have turned into a way for activists to voice their own political opinions before a viewer/user has the chance to consume the content. In early April 2024, it was revealed that a board game based on the "Tomb Raider" video game contained a scathing review of the game's main character. The game described it's own lore as "colonialist" and condemned the title character for being a person who steals from tombs.Melissa Carter, showrunner for both TV shows "The Cleaning Lady" and "Queen Sugar," said she felt trigger warnings act as an "extra guardrail" for young viewers."A [trigger warning] could at least prepare them for something that's personally upsetting to them," she said.Commentator Lewis Brackpool believes that is no longer the truth."Trigger-warnings used to be about warning parents and viewers of any graphic imagery with regards to distressing content. Now trigger warnings are broadened to include nonsensical gender identification, safe spaces, and even warnings of 'trans-misogyny,' which is an oxymoron within itself," Brackpool explained."I’d advocate to go back to the 1990s trigger warnings to which it served a solid purpose."With numerous Disney classics and even James Bond movies receiving trigger warnings as of late, industry insiders continue to state that the warnings are here to stay. Streaming services have seemingly decided that avoidance of discomfort or potential trauma trumps the overall user experience. There may be somewhat of a compromise available, however. An example being the CBS show "Ghosts," which posted a warning on its Facebook page while still attempting to be mindful of spoilers."Tonight's episode deals with sensitive subject matter. … We won't go into detail as not to spoil the episode, but we will share support resources."Like Blaze News? Social media matrix destroys free will; Dorsey admits ‘we are being programmed’

Former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has come clean about social media and the algorithm, explaining that the entire thing is rigged. “This is going to sound a little bit crazy, but I think the free speech debate is a complete distraction right now. I think the real debate should be about free will. And we feel it right now, because we are being programmed,” Dorsey began. “We are being programmed based on what we say we’re interested in, and we are told through these discovery mechanisms what is interesting. And as we engage and interact with this content, the algorithm continues to build more and more of this bias.” Dorsey went on to say that because people have become so dependent on these algorithms, “it’s actually changing and impacting the agency we have — the free agency we have.” Jason Whitlock has been warning of the dangers of the social media matrix for eight years, and he’s glad one of its co-creators is coming clean. “It’s a very, very profound thing that he’s saying. It’s a very, very important thing that he’s saying. It’s long, long overdue,” Whitlock says. “He’s saying, ‘Hey, we created Frankenstein. We thought that we were smarter than everybody else, we thought that we were going to use these algorithms and all the social media platforms to program a better America, to program a better human being.’” “I’ve been telling you all for years,” he continues, “the reason why American culture turned on a dime on same-sex marriage, on acceptance, and affirming LGBTQIA+ lifestyle — because social media programmed you to do that.” This is why Dorsey says that free speech is essentially irrelevant. “What he’s saying is we can amplify the speech that we want. We can amplify the narrative, the agenda that we want to amplify, and your ability to speak freely becomes irrelevant,” Whitlock says. “No one will hear you, not in great mass, not in comparison.” Want more from Jason Whitlock? To enjoy more fearless conversations at the crossroads of culture, faith, sports, and comedy with Jason Whitlock, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Did Joe Biden poop his pants on D-Day anniversary?

The internet is in an uproar as a video has gone viral on social media where it appears that our commander in chief may have had an accident on the 80th anniversary of the D-Day invasion in Normandy. The video shows Biden at the event shaking hands with French President Emmanuel Macron, where he then turns away and bends slightly, as if trying to sit. Biden then pauses uncomfortably, showing that he’s unclear whether he should be standing or sitting. While the leftist media has jumped to President Biden’s defense, claiming there’s no evidence of a “poop” — Alex Stein and founder of Compound Media, Anthony Cumia, aren’t so sure what to believe. “I want to believe he took a dump right there on the beaches of Normandy,” Cumia tells Stein. “I’m going to go on with the line that he was taking a dump, even though I know I’m just going to be like regular mainstream media, I’m going to see it and just say what I want it to be.” “It’s almost sadder that he can’t even stand up for a very important ceremonial thing,” Stein adds in, noting that taking a poop might have been better. “None of it is a good thing,” Cumia says. “It’s not like there’s an excuse, ‘Well, no, he was doing this,' it’s all bad. But the taking a dump part is really funny and sad, and it just kind of shows the dilemma we’re in as Americans here.” Want more from Alex Stein? To enjoy more of Alex's culture jamming, comedic monologues, skits, and street segments, subscribe to BlazeTV — the largest multi-platform network of voices who love America, defend the Constitution, and live the American dream.

Adobe’s new terms of service aren’t the problem — it’s the trust

Creatives are fearful of how Adobe’s adoption of generative AI will impact their privacy and rights over their work. | Illustration by Haein Jeong / The Verge A recent notification from Adobe about a terms of service update caused outrage online once many people — forced to accept the new terms for continued access to its apps and services — interpreted it to mean Adobe was permitting itself free rein to access and use their work to train AI models. Specifically, the notification said Adobe had “clarified that we may access your content through both automated and manual methods” within its TOS, directing users to a section that says “techniques such as machine learning” may be used to analyze content to improve services, software, and user experiences. The update went viral after creatives took Adobe’s vague language to mean that it would use their work to train Firefly — the company’s... Continue reading…
