Kevin Bacon Hilariously Pranked By Wife & Kids On Anniversary Of “Friday The 13th” Release

It’s been 44 years since Friday the 13th first terrified audiences, so Kevin Bacon’s family celebrated accordingly. The slasher film hit theaters on Thursday, May 9, 1980, and went on to become one of the most legendary horror franchises in cinematic history. The story follows the ill-fated summer of counselors at Camp Crystal Lake. A young Kevin played one of those camp counselors. Friday the 13th was one of Kevin Bacon’s first movies, and it helped him become one of Hollywood’s most popular stars. So, when the film’s anniversary came around, his wife, Kyra Sedgwick, and his kids, Sosie and Travis, had to pay tribute. Kevin posted a video of the prank on his Instagram page. It showed him sleeping on his couch—trying to enjoy a peaceful afternoon nap. His family decided that his peaceful state gave them the perfect opportunity to give him a little jump scare like his character, Jack, got before he sadly met his end in the movie. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Kevin Bacon (@kevinbacon) Kevin Bacon Can’t Get Any Peace As the video continues, Kyra, Sosie, and Travis sneak up on him carrying a bloody arrow. Travis gently places it on his chest, and all three of them crouch behind the couch. Kyra makes the iconic Friday the 13th breath sound until it pulls Kevin Bacon from his slumber. He looks down, sees the arrow, and jumps straight up. His wife and kids jump up and scream at the same time. “Okay, not funny, guys,” Kevin says, unamused. “Relax, it’s Thursday,” Travis responds nonchalantly as he walks away. “That was a close one,” Kevin captioned. “44 years since Friday the 13th, and I still can’t take a nap in peace.” “Thank you Kevin and the rest of you….its my favourite movie of all time (54years old),” a fan wrote. “And I’ve been waiting for you to do more Friday sh**…..lovvvvve this….lovvvve you!” You can find the source of this story’s featured image here. An Interview With Geezer Butler Of Black Sabbath

The ’80s proved tumultuous for Black Sabbath. It’s no surprise, considering both Ozzy Osbourne and his replacement, Ronnie James Dio, had walked away in the wake of their respective bouts of ego-driven disillusionment. As for the rest of the band, drummer Bill Ward had gone, come, and gone again, and after the debacle that was Born Again, so too had Geezer Butler. This left Tony Iommi as Sabbath’s lone purveyor of all things dark and sinister. The problem? The music he was making sounded nothing like Sabbath. Moreover, without any true ties to the band’s history, not too many seemed The post An Interview With Geezer Butler Of Black Sabbath appeared first on ClassicRockHistory.com.

Late Night Shame: ‘SNL,’ Colbert Can’t Condemn College Antisemitism

Late Night Shame: ‘SNL,’ Colbert Can’t Condemn College Antisemitism

“Saturday Night Live” had a second chance to address the raging antisemitism on today’s college campuses. Swing, and a miss! The new skit, inspired by the violent protests at Columbia University, proved as toothless as the last one. The former, targeting the Ivy League presidents who couldn’t condemn antisemitism on their campuses, trained its firepower on the GOP politician grilling them.     The just-released sketch shows parents of college students grappling with the latest round of protests. Veteran “SNL” player Kenan Thompson draws some chuckles as a Columbia University parent, but the material sidesteps the violence and morally warped behavior engulfing the New York campus.     It gets worse. The show’s “Weekend Update” segment soft-pedaled both the antisemitism on display at Columbia University and the unchecked violence which trashed a campus building.   ?#BREAKING: Protesters have just stormed and overtook the Hamilton Hall at Columbia University Sparking Riot as They Barricade Inside and Break Windows⁰⁰?#Manhattan | #NewYork⁰⁰At this very moment, hundreds of students and pro-Palestine protesters have just forcefully… pic.twitter.com/PbU04sHSI9 — R A W S A L E R T S (@rawsalerts) April 30, 2024   Co-anchor Michael Che tut-tutted said violence during his comments Saturday night. Officials at Columbia University complained that protesters broke windows and destroyed property …But, so what? College kids also do that when they win the Final Four … Also, if you don’t want students to freak out, stop telling them the truth. No word about the Jewish student beaten by protesters earlier this month. Che and co-anchor Colin Jost also couldn’t be bothered to trace the liberal dark money behind the protests, the promotion of Hamas talking points and other toxic campus trends. The show couldn’t mock viral videos showing how clueless many protesters are throughout the country.   The anti-Israel protesters at UCLA just held a press conference where they said they were victims of a “life threatening assault” at the hands of “Zionists” last night. They complained that police didn’t do enough to intervene, however, their demands include “abolish policing”. pic.twitter.com/bt5aQY3NZf — Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) May 1, 2024   Also ignored? The Jewish student blocked by pro-Palestinian protesters from attending his own college. And that doesn’t include the pro-violent chants, students praising North Korea and other moral indignities. “SNL” failed on every level. And they had company. Late-night comedians are also doing their best to ignore the raging protests. Nothing to see here. Move along. They’ve been doing just that for months, even when Jewish students were told to hide in the attic during one violent protest. Nothing. Stephen Colbert finally addressed the raging anti-Israel protests in his backyard last week on CBS’s “The Late Show.” He suddenly found himself caring about free speech on college campuses following the Columbia University riots. Colbert yawned when conservative after conservative got shouted down, canceled or physically attacked on campuses nationwide. Now, with some college protesters getting arrested for illegally occupying buildings and destroying property, suddenly Colbert found his “Truth to Power” voice. And it’s not just at Columbia. Yesterday, cops arrested at least 100 protesters at UT Austin. This morning they arrested at least 30 protesters at UNC Chapel Hill. Yes, college administrators are using the classic de-escalation tactic of sending in heavily armed police and threatening to call the National Guard. Seth Meyers wasn’t much better. The former “SNL” star attacked the police summoned to quell the riots, not their violence or antisemitic nature. As a New Yorker, I just want to say I really appreciate knowing that this is where my tax dollars are going: using drones to round up co-eds rather than, say, keeping libraries open or building affordable housing or making sure the F train isn’t a total piece of s*** Now, imagine if a single black student was beaten by Pro-Life protesters. Or, even worse, MAGA hat types. Would late-night comics be similarly silent? Of course not. When Jewish students are targeted, harassed and attacked, late-night comedians can’t rally to their defense. Why? Wrong party. The protesters are uniformly Left-of-Center, and the Democrats need them to vote early and often come November. Yes, they’re chanting “Genocide Joe” today, but they won’t support GOP candidates up and down the ticket. And, if properly coddled, they’ll likely return to the Democratic camp. It’s why President Joe Biden waited so long to finally stand up for Jewish students on campus, knowing his far-Left friends in Michigan may not rally to his side if he defends Israel or its people. This is the same president who based his 2020 campaign run on the Fake News that Donald Trump called Nazis “very fine people.” Actual Nazis now stalk college campuses. This also explains late-night’s morally warped response to hate, violence and more from the far-Left. It’s all about politics. Period.

Dell says 49 million customers were allegedly affected in recent data breach

Dell warned customers earlier this week about a data breach after a threat actor claimed to have made away with the personal information of approximately 49 million customers. Bleeping Computer reported that the computer company started sending out emails with data breach notifications to customers on Wednesday, noting that a Dell portal containing customer information related to purchases was breached.Dell shared the data breach notification with the outlet, which said:We are currently investigating an incident involving a Dell portal, which contains a database with limited types of customer information related to purchases from Dell.We believe there is not a significant risk to our customers given the type of information involved. The company said that the stolen information did not include email addresses, telephone numbers, or financial or payment information. It also noted that they are working with law enforcement to investigate the incident. The computer company does not "believe there is significant risk to our customers given the type of information involved." One X user took to the platform following the incident, writing: "Dell sent me an email notice of a data breach: What data was accessed? At this time, customer information accessed: •Name •Physical address •Dell hardware and order information, including service tag, item description, date of order and related warranty information." — (@) The Daily Dark Web previously reported that a threat actor named Menelik tried to sell a Dell database on the Breach Forums on April 28. The Breach Forums is a known hacking forum. The threat actor posted to the forum, writing that they had stolen data from the computer company for "49 million customer and other information systems purchased from Dell between 2017-2024."Though the information the threat actor mentioned has not been confirmed to be the same as that disclosed by Dell, the information's details match. The post has since been removed from the Breach Forum. Reports mentioned that this could mean that another threat actor purchased the database with the sensitive information. The computer company does not "believe there is significant risk to our customers given the type of information involved." However, the breached data could be used against Dell customers. The Register reported that once Dell discovered the digital breach, it immediately kicked off an investigation."We continue to monitor the situation and take steps to protect our customers’ information," a Dell spokesperson said. "Although we don’t believe there is significant risk to our customers given the type of information involved, we are taking proactive steps to notify them as appropriate."Like Blaze News? Video: Suspect accused of slashing 11-year-old girl needs NYPD officers to protect him from angry mob

A suspect accused of slashing an 11-year-old girl in the head and punching a woman was chased down by an angry mob in New York City. However, officers with the NYPD protected the suspect from the horde seeking vigilante justice. An 11-year-old girl was slashed near the East 116th Street subway station in East Harlem around 2:15 p.m. on Friday, according to police. The young girl was knifed in the back of the head and had her ear cut as she stood on a downtown platform holding her mother’s hand, sources told the New York Post. The outlet reported that the weapon used in the attack was a box cutter. The suspect – who reportedly has a lengthy rap sheet – allegedly fled the crime scene by running into the subway station and boarding a train. The mother of the stabbing victim reportedly chased after the alleged attacker, but he was able to run away. An unnamed MTA employee told WPIX, "I saw a guy; he was trying to get off the train car, and he was near the third rail. I asked him what happened, and he said people were chasing him and trying to kill him, but people were yelling he stabbed someone. I grabbed him because I saw the police were running toward us, but he managed to escape."Moments before slashing the little girl, the suspect allegedly punched an unsuspecting 43-year-old woman around the street corner. The victim's mother, Gorzata Sladek, told the New York Post, "It was traumatizing. Terrible. It’s terrible to see a little girl with her head cut, sliced in half and it’s just terrible."A UPS worker added, "Her head [was] bloody. Bleeding can’t stop. [She was] bleeding in her hand and her shirt … she was crying. Scared."The young girl was treated by medics near a juice bar before being rushed to a local hospital. She underwent surgery that required multiple stitches and staples to fix the gash.An angry mob was able to track down the suspect and corner him in the street about a block away where he had allegedly punched a woman. Several NYPD officers needed to protect the suspect from the crowd demanding street justice. In the video, the mob is shouting, and one man pokes the suspect with a cane. Multiple men had to be pulled away from trying to attack the suspect. A man in the crowd is heard yelling, "You f***ing piece of s**t!" Cops arrested 30-year-old Shaquan Cummings. He was charged with two counts of assault and acting in a manner injurious to a child. The Post noted that Cummings has more than 20 prior arrests, including assault, criminal mischief, and fare evasion. His last arrest for assault allegedly happened two months ago. Sladek said, "You should be able to walk on the street and not worry that somebody will attack you and attack, actually, my daughter not even attacking a dog, but a little kid."The distraught mother said her daughter is "not doing well emotionally." "She doesn’t want to go back to school. She doesn’t want to go outside anymore,” Sladek stated. — (@)
