The Department of Homeland Security issued an internal memo last week, warning agents that the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua (TdA) has expanded its territory in the U.S. to at least 16 states. The New York Post reported on the internal memo on Monday, writing that DHS officials warned that TdA has most recently increased its “violent tendencies” in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Montana, and Wyoming. The Venezuelan gang also has a presence in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. Around half of the U.S. population is in areas where the gang has made its presence known. The memo said that TdA has focused on D.C. because it’s easy to travel from the nation’s capital to surrounding suburbs, where they commit thefts and assaults. The Post reported that U.S. Border Patrol sources said TdA members cross the U.S.-Mexico border and are often released into the country under the Biden administration’s policies. TdA members are identified by their tattoos, such as a “five-point crown and a clock and roses.” The illegal immigrant currently on trial for Georgia nursing student Laken Riley’s murder is “an active member” of Tren de Aragua, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) sources told the Post earlier this year. Riley was killed while she was out for a run near the University of Georgia campus in February. The nursing student’s death sent shockwaves throughout the country as Republicans, including then-presidential candidate Donald Trump, called for mass deportations of criminal illegal immigrants. Those flights are funded with taxpayer dollars. FBI analyst Abeisis Ramirez translated the phone call for the court. “She said that she thinks it’s crazy that they don’t have anyone else’s DNA. They only have his,” Ramirez testified, according to Fox News. Fox News contributor Paul Mauro said the phone call placed Ibarra at the scene. “She very clearly doesn’t believe him. … She says, at one point, ‘Jose, I know you,’ a very … telling moment,” Mauro said of the phone call between Ibarra and his wife. “And then at one point … the real crushing statement is when she says to him, ‘I can’t believe somebody could see somebody dying and not call 911.'” MATT WALSH’S ‘AM I RACIST?’ NOW STREAMING ON DAILYWIRE+ Mauro added that the conversation appeared to “be a reference to him having told her, I was there, I saw the body, but I didn’t call 911, and I didn’t do it.” Ibarra, 26, waived his right to a jury trial and will instead leave his fate in the hands of a judge, CNN reported. Ibarra is charged with 10 counts, including murder, kidnapping, and aggravated assault with intent to rape Riley, who was found murdered after she went jogging at the University of Georgia in Athens. Also on Monday, prosecutors explained that Ibarra’s DNA was found in skin cells underneath Riley’s fingernails, indicating she fought for her life. The prosecution also displayed images of Ibarra with scratches to his arms and hands, taken shortly after Riley was killed. “On Feb. 22, Jose Ibarra put on a black hat, a hoodie-style jacket, and some black kitchen-style disposable gloves, and he went hunting for females on the University of Georgia campus,” prosecutor Sheila Ross said in her opening statements on Friday, according to Fox News. “When Laken Riley refused to be his rape victim, he bashed her head in with a rock repeatedly,” Ross added. Ibarra’s defense attorney said during his opening statements that there wasn’t enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Ibarra killed Riley and suggested there was no evidence to allege sexual assault was a motivating factor.

Droughts are not usually associated with anything good. That said, there are exceptions — and the folks at Dinosaur Valley State Park understand this from experience. This park is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, and it is the home to a number of preserved dinosaur footprints, hence the name. While there are already plenty of dinosaur tracks to admire, turns out, there are still plenty more to discover. But how is that possible? The Paluxy River runs through the park… usually. Last summer’s drought was so extreme, the water dried it up. As a result, however, many new dinosaur footprints were revealed. In fact, at least 75 were found. Some appear to be 113 million years old! While it makes sense that these tracks would be found in a place like Dinosaur Valley State Park, new discoveries like this are still incredibly rare and worth celebrating! Drought Reveals Perfectly Hidden and Preserved Dinosaur Tracks By taking a closer look at the tracks, it seems that two different types of dinosaurs left them, both distantly related to the beloved T-rex! The first is called Acrocanthosaurus, though it is often shortened to Acro. This massive creature, a carnivore, stood at 15 feet tall and weighed 14,000 pounds. It walked on two legs with three-toed feet. Then there is the Sauroposeidon proteles. Their necks were most certainly their most prominent feature, measuring up to 100 feet long.
