A survey suggested a few days ago that Samsung might unveil the Galaxy S25 series on January 5th, which would make it the earliest launch for a Galaxy S model in Samsung's history. The Galaxy S24's Unpacked happened on January 17th this past year. That was just a survey. We pointed out at the time that nothing is official until Samsung makes it so. The Korean giant has not accidentally leaked the Galaxy S25 Unpacked date nor sent out press invites. But a new report from Korea gives another potential launch date for the Galaxy S25 series — along with a potential plot twist in Samsung's launch strategy. The Galaxy S25 Slim might be the surprise star of Samsung's Unpacked event, which will reportedly happen on January 23rd. Karen Thompson/The Conversation For more than a millennium, many Andean peoples used an object called a “khipu” (also spelled “quipu” and pronounced “key-poo”) to record and communicate information. Khipus were made with cords or strings with knots tied into them. And experts understand that many, but not all, of these knots were used to represent numbers. In a new study published today, I make a numeric connection between two important khipus from history – the first being being the largest khipu ever known and the other one of the most complex. What were khipus used for? While khipus were used in earlier times, they were especially important to the Inca Empire, which lasted from around 1438 AD to 1532 AD (when the empire was conquered by the Spanish). Since the Inca did not leave any written records, khipus are understood to have been their main system of communication and record-keeping. Khipus were commonly made from either cotton or fibers sourced from camelids (the group of animals that includes camels, llamas and alpacas). These materials could be dyed or left naturally colored. Dave Coulier gave a shocking health update during a recent chat with PEOPLE Magazine, revealing that he was diagnosed with stage 3 non-Hodgkins lymphoma last month. This came after he experienced swollen lymph nodes on his sides due to a respiratory infection. Before going public with the sad news, Dave reached out to his Full House costars including Candace Cameron Bure and John Stamos.  Bure and Stamos paid tribute to Dave via a heartfelt message on social media, assuring him and his wife, Melissa Coulier, of their support.
