Garth Brooks’ Key To Maintaining A Happy Relationship With Trisha Yearwood: “Stop & Think Before B*tching”

Garth Brooks’ Key To Maintaining A Happy Relationship With Trisha Yearwood: “Stop & Think Before B*tching”

Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood have been together for almost two decades. The country music superstars tied the knot in 2005, and it's been a happily ever after story ever since. Well, that is up until the recent sexual assault allegations have been thrown at Garth Brooks, who has been accused of rape and sexual misconduct on multiple occasions by one of his former makeup artists. Garth's accuser also claims that she was asked by Brooks to have a threesome with Garth and Trisha. Prior to this scandal (if you can call it that, since Garth is innocent until proven guilty), Brooks and Yearwood were viewed as the ideal, inseparable celebrity couple. And for the most part, they still are - though Garth was noticeably absent from Trisha's recent White House performance. The "Friends In Low Places" singer is probably just trying to lay low while all of this potential controversy swirls around him. That being said, Brooks recently sat down with The Saturday Evening Post to talk a little bit about he and Yearwood's relationship. Garth was asked if they ever butt heads, considering they've historically appeared to be such a happy and perfect couple. The country music star explained that there is almost a science to getting along with your spouse: "You have to see yourself through the eyes of who you’re living with. If you stop and think before b*tching, maybe you’ll say, 'It’s what I’ve done to her a thousand times.' So instead, you go, 'How do we fix this?' Sometimes the answers don’t come immediately. But every good answer is worth the time it takes to get there. I have a lot of miles left to go and a lot of lessons to learn, but my book is open and I’m taking notes." Sounds like Garth Brooks has the husband thing down pat. It sounds like Brooks and Yearwood have a very healthy relationship, and they'll certainly need to be on the same page as they move forward in the fight against Garth's allegations. From the very beginning, Garth has maintained his innocence, and it’s clear that he’s doing everything in his power to clear his name. He released this statement initially after saying he refused to pay out hush money to his accuser: “For the last two months, I have been hassled to no end with threats, lies, and tragic tales of what my future would be if I did not write a check for many millions of dollars. It has been like having a loaded gun waved in my face. Hush money, no matter how much or how little, is still hush money. In my mind, that means I am admitting to behavior I am incapable of – ugly acts no human should ever do to another. We filed suit against this person nearly a month ago to speak out against extortion and defamation of character. We filed it anonymously for the sake of families on both sides. I want to play music tonight. I want to continue our good deeds going forward. It breaks my heart these wonderful things are in question now. I trust the system, I do not fear the truth, and I am not the man they have painted me to be.” Since the lawsuit was filed, Garth has wrapped up his Las Vegas residency for the year, taking some time off before starting back up in 2025. And to be clear, Garth’s wife Trisha has stood by him every step of the way through this process. Shortly after the lawsuit and allegations hit the internet, Yearwood shared this photo of her and husband with the caption: “Love one another.” https://www.instagram.com/p/DA1vjlrv8jP/?utm_source=ig_embed&ig_rid=543a870d-20ac-406f-bf63-eae6d7a5b1be

Chris Stapleton’s “Tennessee Whiskey” Was Once Again The Top Played Country Song On TouchTunes In 2024

On an absolutely incredible run. Chris Stapleton became a household name back in 2015 with his performance of "Tennessee Whiskey" alongside Justin Timberlake at the CMA Awards. Since then, he's set the record for the most wins for Male Vocalist of the Year, won Entertainer of the Year at the ACM Awards, and has racked up an incredible 10 Grammy Awards. His debut album, Traveller, is STILL inside the top 20 on the Billboard Top Country Album chart, nearly a decade after it was released, and inside the top 30 on the iTunes album charts. And while those are nice, the chart came out today that I was REALLY interested in: The yearly TouchTunes chart. I'm a big TouchTunes guy myself. Nothing better than getting to a bar and seeing a TouchTunes on the wall, knowing that you're in control of the music for the entire bar. I'm also pretty quick to use the "Play Next" feature and pay more to get my song to the front of the line. God knows how much money I've spent on TouchTunes over the years, and I regret none of it. But with thousands of TouchTunes across the country, it's always interesting to see what everybody else is queuing up on the jukebox. And in what shouldn't be a surprise, it turns out the answer is a lot of Chris Stapleton. Stapleton was the fourth most played male artist of the year on TouchTunes, in a list that was topped by Morgan Wallen. And while Shaboozey's "A Bar Song (Tipsy)" was the most played new country song of the year, of the "catalog" songs, nobody topped Chris Stapleton and his song "Tennessee Whiskey." (And before you come at me in the comments, yes, I know that the song was originally recorded by David Allan Coe and George Jones. We're talking about the Chris Stapleton version here though). It's not really a surprise that the song is up there with bar classics like "Friends In Low Places" (which was at #5 on the list this year) at this point. If you've visited Nashville you know just how popular "Tennessee Whiskey" is up and down Broadway, and there's no doubt bartenders across the country are probably sick of hearing it by now based on just how popular it is. But hey, the night's starting to wind down, the lights are getting ready to come on the guys are trying to find a lady to leave with, so you throw on some of Chris Stapleton's silky smooth vocals to help you seal the deal, right? The rest of the top 5 country songs include "I Love This Bar" by Toby Keith at #2, which no doubt shot up the list after the Big Dog Daddy's passing back in February. What better way to pay tribute to a legend than with one of the greatest bar songs of all time? And rounding out the top 5 are "Fast Car" by Luke Combs and "Son Of a Sinner" by Jelly Roll, both coming in ahead of the Garth Brooks classic "Friends in Low Places." Honestly, I'm a little surprised that there's no Morgan Wallen or Zach Bryan on the list. I thought for sure that "Last Night" or "Something In the Orange" would be on there, but apparently people are sticking to the classics and just throwing on "Tennessee Whiskey." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4zAThXFOy2c

Dolly Parton Says Musicians Always Offered To Driver Her Home When She First Moved To Nashville: “Some Of Them Thinking They Might Get More… & Some Of Them Might Have”

Dolly Parton has always had an undeniable allure. If you need proof of that, may I direct your attention to Dolly's Thanksgiving Halftime Show performance from last year, where the country music legend sported a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader uniform and shocked the world (and showed everyone that age is just a number). The 78-year-old has been busy as ever in her late 70s, and most recently sat down with podcaster and social media figure (and Jelly Roll's wife) Bunnie XO on her Dumb Blonde podcast. Bunnie let everyone know from the very beginning of the show that Parton was her dream guest when she first started her podcast, and that Dolly, one of the OG "dumb blondes," was a huge inspiration for the name of the show. Of course, Dolly released a song titled "Dumb Blonde" in 1966, one that would make her Dumplin' record the following year. She also revealed that their conversation ended up being shorter than the podcast host wished, but that Dolly would be coming back for a "part two" at some point in the near future. Bunnie XO named the episode "Dolly Parton: Queen of Everything," which is something I can get behind. There's more to Parton than just the "Queen of Country," and her story proves that. After Parton graduated from high school, she moved to Nashville, and it's well-documented that she didn't have a lot when she packed up and moved to Music City (she comes from a large and poor family). Dolly certainly didn't have a lot of money, but that started to change when she was able to get connected with a publishing company that was in search of a female singer, as she explained: "Well I was lucky because there are so many songwriters in Nashville, and a lot of the people that write songs are not good singers. So all the publishing companies, if there are female songs, you could get a job singing those songs. So I got work through Tree Publishing Company. Buddy Killen was a dear friend, and he would get me on these sessions singing some of the songs that these writers had written." Sounds like the timing couldn't have been better for Dolly Parton's big Nashville move. Though her transportation situation could have been. The country music legend - long before she became the legend we know her as today - didn't have her own car when she was first getting started. One thing she did have was her patented good looks, and those made up for her lack of a personal vehicle - and even paid for more than a few meals: "I didn't have a phone. I didn't have a car. I didn't have anything. So all these musicians - cause I was a ripe, pretty girl at that time - I had all these musicians that were on the sessions always willing to drive me home. Always willing to stop somewhere and buy me a burger. Some of them thinking they might get more... and some of them might have." Dolly you DOG. Parton went on to voice how appreciative she was for all of those people who so kindly helped her at the very beginning of her career in Nashville. She also explained that growing up in a big family ended up being beneficial when it came time to befriend those in the music industry: "They were always so good to me, and everybody seemed to know that my heart was in a good place and I was just a country girl. And I was funny. I was always cracking jokes. Everybody got a kick out of me, so I was just one of the boys because I had six brothers. I was not a bit shy around the men and I knew how to maneuver." As she alluded to earlier in the interview when she said some of them "might have" had the pleasure of really getting to know her.
