Former President Donald Trump is poised to win his third consecutive Republican presidential nomination after a resounding victory Tuesday over former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley in the New Hampshire primary. The results seem likely to set up a rematch in November between Trump and President Joe Biden‚ the Democrat who unseated him in the 2020 election. However‚ Haley was clear she planned to continue in the race. The Associated Press called the race for Trump at 8 p.m. At that time‚ with 18% of precincts reporting‚ Trump had rolled up 54% of the vote in unofficial returns against his only remaining GOP opponent‚ Haley‚ who took 44%‚ according to Fox News. With 32% of New Hampshire precincts reporting‚ Trump had 53.8% to Haley’s 45.2%. The South Carolina primary is Feb. 24‚ her home state‚ where she trails her former boss by over 30 points‚ according to the RealClearPolitics polling average. Nevertheless‚ Haley spoke first in the night‚ congratulating Trump but making it clear the fight continues. “The political class is falling over itself saying it’s over‚” Haley said. “New Hampshire is the first in the nation‚ not the last in the nation. It is far from over. There are dozens of states left to go.” She went on to reference the age of both Trump‚ 77‚ and Biden‚ 81.  “The first party to retire its 80-year-old candidate is the party who wins the election‚” Haley said. “That should be the Republicans.” Trump’s win comes one night after a rally in Laconia‚ New Hampshire‚ that included brief speeches from three of his former GOP challengers—Ramaswamy‚ Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina‚ and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.  DeSantis‚ who came in a distant second place in the Iowa caucuses‚ dropped out of the race Sunday and endorsed Trump in a video statement.  Haley‚ who argued that Trump can’t win in November or would be surrounded by “chaos” if elected‚ pointed to general election polls that show her lead over Biden to be larger than Trump’s.  Haley had the backing of New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu‚ a Republican. She also was endorsed in the primary by both the conservative editorial board of the New Hampshire Union Leader newspaper in Manchester and the left-leaning editorial board of The Boston Globe.  At one point earlier in the campaign‚ Haley appeared to be within striking distance of Trump‚ trailing by only seven points. Phillips won 16% and author Marianne Williamson won 3%‚ with about 3% of precincts reporting‚ according to RealClearPolitics. The Democratic National Committee made South Carolina‚ on Feb. 3‚ the first primary on its calendar. Although New Hampshire still held its Democratic primary‚ the contest awarded no delegates. The next contest after South Carolina is Nevada. On the Republican side in New Hampshire‚ former President Donald Trump was leading former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley‚ who also was his first ambassador to the United Nations‚ by nearly 10 points in early returns. Trump’s other major GOP rivals dropped out of the race after his blowout win in last week’s Iowa caucuses. Phillips hoped to emulate another Minnesota Democrat‚ then-Sen. Eugene McCarthy‚ an opponent of the Vietnam War who lost by only six points to the incumbent Democrat‚ President Lyndon B. Johnson‚ in the 1968 New Hampshire primary. Kennedy Jr.‚ the son of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy and a nephew of President John F. Kennedy‚ was slated to be in the Democratic primary. A cat transformed completely nine months after a resident took him off the streets. Now‚ he's ready for his happily ever after. After relentlessly pushing environmentalism on businesses‚ ESG-obsessed Bloomberg News whined that flights may be too frequent and too comfortable.  A Jan. 22 article for Bloomberg News headlined “No-Frills Flying Emerges as Travel’s Painful‚ Greener Future” lauded budget airlines for reducing customer space and flight perks‚ but lamented that cheaper flights drive an increase in customers. After praising more spartan airlines for their choices‚ Bloomberg reporter Angus Whitley admitted that “the budget flight movement has also driven a boom in air-travel demand because of the bargain ticket prices.” However‚ he disclaimed: “Low-cost carriers were responsible for almost 90% of growth in fuel use and CO2 emissions from US airlines between 2005 and 2019‚ according to the International Council on Clean Transportation.”  It is almost as if Bloomberg does not want Americans to fly at all.  In the news piece‚ Whitley cited ICCT Director of Research Dan Rutherford‚ who first fretted about customers benefiting from low-cost flights before proposing radical measures to hurt airline passengers. “It’s time for more punitive measures‚ according to Rutherford. There’s ‘clearly’ a need for policies such as a tax on frequent fliers or a price on carbon‚ he said‚” Whitley wrote. Notably‚ Whitley also published an article on Aug. 10‚ 2023‚ arguing that the industry must decarbonize and massively raise prices on consumers to do so. “Some $5 trillion of capital investment may be needed to deliver on aviation’s goal of reaching carbon neutrality by 2050‚ almost all of it plowed into sustainable fuel production and renewable power generation‚ according to McKinsey &; Co‚” he wrote at the time. “It's a mountain of money so large it could wipe out global airline revenue for the best part of a decade.” This leftist media outlet doesn’t just publish articles advocating for net zero and against customers. Leftist billionaire owner Michael Bloomberg celebrated his infamous Bloomberg Philanthropies Impact Report in June 2023. This report detailed extensive attacks on new and existing sources of energy in the United States such as coal and natural gas.  The Impact Report also provided ESG ratings for 5‚500 companies. Bloomberg Sustainable Finance Associate Katrina White admitted that her company is aware of the role these ratings play in putting pressure on companies to embrace radical environmentalism.  Conservatives are under attack!
